Why doesn't Mario ever talk? (In Games)

In many Mario games, mario can speak, but not in full sentences. He can say Yahoo! or Yipee! The only full sentence he has ever said is Let's a go! Also, in Super Mario Sunshine, all main characters have alot of voice acting in the cutscenes, but of course, Mario, never talks. Like he could've just said to bowser, "Free the Princess Bowser!"

He's a Heroic Mime. Same as Link (bar "I FOUND A MIRROR UNDER THE TABLE") and Samus and Kirby and everyone else.

Kirby fails' date='[b'] I got Kirby Ultra Superstar on DS recently, biggest let down in years.[/b] But yeah I see your example and I fold.

Damn Straight!

The reason a lot of the old Nintendo games do this is so the played can view the character their playing as as themself.

In this case' date=' said video game charactor is a reckless crazy-persion

(seriously, bieng reckless is awesum :3)

At least Crash Bandicoot eventually said something.

Kirby as a spelunker' date=' to unlock main adventure mode = NO!

Because all toasters toast toast. And that's the TRUTH.

He doesn't exactly "talk" in the new RPG, but he does "vocalize." By that, I mean Mario speaks gibberish. (name of game = Bowser's Inside Story (DS game))

And on the subject of all nintendo games, a good example is Smash Bros Brawl, they never talk.

EDIT: He does, indeed, say full sentences in the new Olympic Games. (Winter)
