fenrir
Well, my good friend and I had a nice chat today at his place, while playing MW2. The discussion was about overrated games. I stated ODST, he agree'd. I then took a shot at the game we were playing, MW2. Now, my friend loves the CoD series, so naturally he paused the game, gave me a glare, and asked why. I told him that the game lacks some great Gameplay features that other games have, and the BS hitbox. I told him stuff like, "I don't see how three pistol shots in the foot kills someone instantly." Etc. I also went on about how you couldn't cover properly like in GoW, Rainbow, MGS, Uncharted, etc. I then said something else. "Okay, let's say that two games are coming out on the same day. CoD -insert number here- and Uncharted -insert number here-. Now, which game would get more hype? Uncharted, or CoD?" So now, YCM, I ask you the same question, and want to discuss overrated games with you. Gogogogogogo.
Brushfire
man i wish i put coverin' in mah game if it gets me a 10/10 from you bro MW2 is over-hyped, and overrated. That doesn't make it bad.
fenrir
I'm not saying it's bad. I love playing MW2 with my friend; I just hate it how everyone hypes about it.
Great Unclean One: VK
MW2 is overrated, while MAG seems to be underrated but while it has so much better things then MW2. Such as COMPLETE customization. Not only you can customize builds, but also how your dude looks like.
fenrir
I was referring more to gameplay. I love customization and all, but having the ability to custom the color to my gun just seems like filler.
TAG
In my opinion, there isn't really such a thing as overrated. You see, whether or not something is overrated all stems down to what one believes of something and what one believes of other people's beliefs of that same thing. For example, if every one went gaga for a game such as Pac-Man, but then someone else thought Pac-Man sucked, that person would be inclined to believe that Pac-Man is overrated because everyone else likes it, but that person does not. But seeing as how whether or not something is overrated is all based on an opinion of people's opinion, overratedness itself is nothing more than an opinion. There is no true way to judge whether or not a game is overrated. It all boils down to whether you like it as much as everyone else does.

RemovedRemoved
I think somethings called overated if it has a huge fanbase despite the fact the product has major flaws, ofcourse calling something overrated is simply an opinion and there is no universelly overrated thing as its everyones own opinion if something is overrated. Amethyst Phoenix
*looks up from armchair by fire* Back in my day, you could die in one shot from the golden gun in double-oh-seven golden eye.
