"Oh, my god!" Alyssa's mouth dropped open as Joshua toppled over. He looked around, and saw a fleeting glance of a boy running away. Alyssa burst out of the compartment only to see that it was too late, and the boy had run away.

She walked back inside the cabin, feeling Joshua for a pulse. His eyes were moving. "Oh, good, hes only petrified. Do you know a countercharm?" she asked Candice. "And, yeah, I'd think we have a pretty good chance of the cup this year."

"Josh!" Candice squealed in an abnormally high-pitched tone for her. She was startled.

She jumped to her feet and drew her wand.

"Finite Incantatum!" She whispered, she was still startled, but she knew that if she did it right, Joshua would be restored. Or atleast she hoped. She wasn't sure that this was infact magical.

"he was hit by a petrifying spell!" exclaimed Alyssa as Candice smartly woke Joshua up. "Wow, Candice, you're a really good witch! Good to see you back, Britney."

 

OoC: Candice I forgot, what year are you? And also, should you be doing made up spells? Because the real invisibility charm is the Dissillusionate charm, or that's what they called it in Harry potter. I'm not sure what the owner of the thread would say.

Joshua struggled back up. "Erm, thanks Candice. Did any of you see who did that to me? I really wanna catch him and..and..." then he saw Britney standing in the entryway. "Britney! You came back." Seeing the look of alarm on her face, he said, "Don't worry, I'm fine. Just a little flustered from where my head landed." He gave Alyssa a look that obviously said "sorry."

IC: "It's a relatively simple spell actually. If anything it was adrenaline, I'm normally not that quick-thinking. Just in these situations, and sometimes on the Quiditch pitch." She wasn't concerned with praise, she wanted to find the person who cast that spell and make him appologise.

Alyssa volunteered, "i saw him, but I think he went invisible. Why did he do that? Do you have any enemies?" She looked around, to see if she could see their attacker, but she couldn't find any trace. "Maybe if I go look for him...? Or should we just report it to a teacher on here?"

 

OoC: Almost leaving. Couple more posts, that's why I'm volunteering for search. When will we arrive at Hogwarts?

"I hardly saved your life. You would have been fine a little later. Now when I'm stopping bludgers from hitting you in the temple, that's life saving." She said this with a laugh. she turned, just now seeing Britney in the compartment.

"Hi Britney." She said somewhat dismissively, not really knowing the girl.

"Oh? My wand? Ten inches of oak, phoenix feather."

"Well I wanted to give you something but I sorta wanna give it to you in private cause its kinda....private well not really unless you just want me to give it to you now". Britney said blushing

Joshua blinked. "Alright, give me a few minutes, and I will be able to be..." he whispered the next word, "alone with you." But then he pulled out his wand. "My wand...it's a twelve inch vine wand, with unicorn hair in its core. It's very sturdy, and great for casting spells." To show off (sort of), he flicked his wand at one of the chocolate frogs in his hands. The frog turned into a mug made of chocolate. "You have no idea how long it took me to learn how to cast spells silently."

"In... love?" Candice quietly mouthed, she was heartbroken, she'd been interested in Joshua since she was Twelve, and now he was 'In love'? Candice took a deep breath and put on a fake smile, she forced back a tear.

"Anyone want a bean?" She asked opening the packet and reaching into it, getting a yellow-brown one. "Mustard, mmm."

Joshua looked at Candice. She had changed somehow. He smiled at her, and held out his hand. "I like mustard," he said, hoping to cheer her up. It's always like this with girls, he thought. They always got in big fights about him too. Heck, one girl had challenged another to a wizard's duel over him. "If you don't mind, can I talk to Britney alone for a minute?"

Candice wasn't gonna be another one of those girls. She looked away just momentarily, before reaching into the bag and finding another mustard flavoured bean for Joshua. She wouldn't fight over him, she'd be his friend, that's how it was every other time. "Maybe one day." she told herself, as she looked back up and handed him the bean.

"Here ya go Josh. And yeah sure, go ahead." She said half-heartedly, a litle bitterness hidden in her words.

He smiled, now truly torn. "Thanks, Candice." His head was starting to hurt. He liked Britney, but he also liked Candice. And this wasn't like those other girls. Now he actually felt something for both the girls. He shook his head in confusion, then looked at Candice. "Could I talk to Britney for a minute?" he asked, hoping that the question wouldn't go too deep.

"Sure." She smiled, a real smile, albeit a painful one, she wanted him to be happy, she was afterall his friend.

"I'll see you when you get back from Ki- Sorry, talking with Britney." She had nearly said kissing That wasn't like her, she was starting to loose it.

"Get a grip Candi" she thought to her self, "that's not you talking, you're just emotional. It's gonna be okay."
