Kris walked along the road to the squad ten barracks. He yawned and stopped. He felt the new reiatsu's again and noticed something familiar about one of them. No way. Thats shihoin's reiatsu. Takeshi's here. Good, might need some help against them guys. Kris thought, turning down an alley going away from the squad ten barracks and on to the shinigami academy. He still didn't want to shunpo, if Takeshi was here he needed to be on top form, Takeshi was probably the only one to oppose him for fastest shinigami. Kris walked up to the door of the academy, seeing students training in the ground either eye him with suspcion or have their eyes open in shock. One student walked up to him and said, "Who are you? Everyone is eyeing you as if your tough but I bet your weak." Kris laughed. "If you tried to fight me now I probably wouldn't have to lift a finger. You obviously don't know who I am but you'll find out soon and will regret chalenging me." The kid put his hand to his Bakoto but before he could draw it he was sent flying. Kris shunpoed and caught him and put him down, the Kid was almost in shock. Kris walked back towards the door and pulled his jacket of to reveal the captains cloak underneath. Kris walked through the door onto the exam room, getting strange looks from the people around him. He knocked on the exam room door. "Knock knock."

A shinigami answered the door to Kris revealing a room with Nako and Takeshi. "Ahh, Kris. Just in time. I was just leaving. It's looks as though I'm the one you were looking for anyway. Shall we go?"

 

Nako went with the Recruit Examiner as he said "You're an impressive young man. Your capabilities remind me of a student I examined almost 500 years ago." Nako looked puzzled. The examiner pointed towards Takeshi as he left. "That boy was rather incredible.. It was a shame though, he ran away right after passing his examination test." Nako continued walking. "Where'd he go?" The examiner replied, "The human world." Nako was confused. "Aren't I.. A human?" The examiner laughed. "Hahaha, my boy.. You are human, but you didn't know.. You're a soul that came from the human world after passing away." Nako was shocked. "Wha.. What?! I.. Passed.. Away?" The examiner explained to him the method of how souls are reborn into Soul Society. "Amazing.. I.. Died.. But I'm here.." Nako and the examiner reached the classroom. These will be your classmates. "Hi, Nice to meet you. I'm Kurosaki Idaero." "I'm Kuchiki Aoi." Takeshi became shy towards the cute Aoi. "I.. I'm Hideki Nako.. Nice to meet you both." Nako caught eyes with Aoi and quickly turned away. She's pretty.

"Yes you are Takeshi, welcome back. You look well but I'm intrigued by that boy ther aswell. I didn't know untill just now but his reiatsu is amazing. Another Toshiro or maybe another you or me if we're lucky. We dont wont him taking our positions now." Kris laughed. He looked back at the shut door. "Where did you find him? He doesn't look like he's from around here, just died maybe?" Kris asked. He looked back infront of him, thinking of his years in the academy.

"Heh.. Yeah.. That kid's crazy.. I found him in Rukongai fighting Gando the Gatekeeper all on his own. It doesn't seem like he just died though.. He seems to understand the whole concept of Shinigami's and Rukongai. He even knew what district he was from. Wow.. These halls.. It's been so long since I've walked them.. The last time I did was when I was being promoted to the Zero Squad. Heh.. It's funny.. If I had stayed and trained to be a shinigami here, technically you'd be my senpai. Lucky I ran away from the academy before you had the chance to boss me around. Oh, thanks by the way.. It's been a while since I've visited Seireitei.. Hasn't changed much, though living in Rukongai has done me well. Being a captain ties you down too much. Don't you agree?" Takeshi looks towards Kris. "Oh, right, you needed something from me?

"No not really, just wanted to say hi. But found him fighting Gando! At his age! He must be powerful. Anyway, just came to warn you aswell. Watch out in the human world.I was attacked by two Arrancars and one of them Los Muertos, I thought they were all extinct. They are powerful I tell you." Kris sighed. He stared infront of him at the walls of the seireitei. "Do you want to see the Head captain? I bet he'd be very excited to see you." He asked.

"Wow... Los Muertos.. The last recorded case of a Las Muertos existing was.. Shiba Kaien if I'm not mistaken. I got pretty close to becoming one myself actually.. If I would've just given up, the hollow would've taken over.." Takeshi's eyes became a bit pained. "Heh.. I can't believe I begged Kisuke for this... The power of being a Vaizard is great I admit, but... It's more a curse than a gift.. I've managed to take most of it's power already.. But I've seen Arrancars with a Second Resureccion form.. It scares me to think that I might have to go through that all again.. I fought so hard to keep my sanity through Resureccion... Even just thinking about Segundo... It's a scary thought.. Head.. Captain.. Happy to see me. I'm glad to see you have a sense of humour. Last time I recall, he rather disliked me.. Although he dislikes everyone.. Oh well. May as well pay the old loser a visit."

"Which one are you talking about. Yamamoto sounds like who your talking about. Simeno wouldn't be happy to hear you say that." Kris said, just holding back a laugh. "Anyway, I still cant believe you asked to be a vizard myself, you dont seem like the type. I wouldn't, not after having to share a body with that stupid semondage. I got rid of him by the way. Kaien shiba, I dont recall him becoming a Los meurtos. Meh, what do I know. So, are you coming with me to see Simeno or do you have plans?"

OoC: Los Muertos is when the hollow takes over the shinigami's body. That's what happened to Kaien.. Although the transformation wasn't 100% so he never became so powerful. Who's Simeno? Sorry, still struggling to read through all the apps.

 

IC: "Hahaha. Let's go. Well.. At that time I was actually still quite young.. All I wanted was power.. I was bored of all my family using our noble name to get whatever they wanted.. I wanted to find my own power, and my own respect.. In then end though, the result was still the same.. I know they would've never let me into the Royal Guard had I not been part of the esteemed house of Shihouin.. Time's change, but it seems the way people look at nobility and commoners doesn't. Heh.. I wish I could get rid of my hollow, but in all honesty.. I'm starting to believe I'm the weaker one.. Disappointing considering how in my earlier days I was always referred to as a genius. I'm lucky to Tsumetai Shuuryou though.. His bond with my soul is so great that I was able to fight off the hollow inside of me together with him. Anyhow, we better hurry, it's getting late."

OOC: Whatever about Kaien. Dunno anything me. Stupid as hell. Anyway, simeno is my other character. I dont use him much but he is the head captain because noone else was when I needed one to be.

 

IC: "Well, I dont think I can relate to you on that. No family, just remember the name and it doesn't seem that it's famous. Well, it wasn't untill I came along. Hollows are tough to handle but I'm sure your stronger. It didn't seem like that with me against semondage but I managed to gain control over him didn't I. You'll be fine." Kris said. He looked around as they left the gates of the Academy. "Race you to the barracks." And he was of. Lets see if he still has his speed. If he does he'l just be able to keep up with this.

OOC: Just to clarify for Nex, and he will tell me if I'm right or wrong on this when he replies, but there is and has only ever been one Los Muertos. Nex is the only one, as said in his app. He also said that a Los Muertos is a vizard who has fused completely with his hollow so that they kinda share both shinigami and hollow powers. Also, Kaien was never a Los Muertos, he died after being absorbed by the 9th Espada, Aaroniero. He was alive after the hollow had fused with him, but once Aaroniero absorbed the hollow and Kaien, he died.

 

IC: Karek was staring out the window when he heard movement behind him. He turned around to see Nex shifting and waking up. He then waited for Nex to gather himself and check out the building before he said something. "Nice to see you're awake now and you're welcome. Just helping out a friend." Karek said. It seemed like Nex had used the technique many times but not at such a high level by the way he had used it so quickly and without thought. Oh well, I guess he can't really use a technique like that many times, especially seeing the damage it caused. Karek lifted his hand to his head, swishing the bangs of his hair out of his eyes. "I never got your name, but I heard them calling you Nex. Well Nex, I would like to accept your offer to joining you as a Los Muertos." Karek said. He stood there, awaiting Nex's answer.

"Okay Koganei, what do you want to do?" asked Koga his hollow "I am so bored complained Kogonei his zanpakto "Okay guys, I know its been awhile but why dont we use that?" he asked them "As long as I dont have to stay here!" Koga replied "Its settled then me and Kogonei will stay here while Koga you go check up on Nex, but remember they might not recognize you at first." said Koganei as they split up into two bodies leaving a high vaste lorde hollow reiatsu which quickly vanished and Koganei went to find out what was going on here.

"Hello Nex, so I see your finally awake?" asked a vaste lorde that just appeared and it somewhat resembled Koganei "The name is Koga in case you are wondering..." he then said "So what is the plan?" is what he asked next.

OOC: I will go ahead and say that Nex Addo is the only currently existing Los Muertos and allow for there have been others before him. However, The explanation of what a Los Muertos actually is can be found in the post beneath.

 

IC: Nex Addo simply turned his head to face the Vasto Lorde, it was very obvious that he was incredibly hungry just by the look on his face. "I would suggest you stay out of my reach for the next little while, until I find something to sate my hunger upon." He then turned to look at Karek, sniffing the air many times as he did so. "Well, you'll have to convince your Inner Hollow that there isn't any point in fighting anymore. That's how it's done, the Inner Hollow and Shinigami come to an agreement that they are too weak as separate beings and decide to merge into a single homogeneous entity. Your Inner Hollow still thinks he has the strength to- FOOD!" Nex suddenly leaped out the nearest window of the building, having dropped his glasses back behind in the building itself, and dove directly onto an unsuspecting hollow upon the streets below. The impact with the creature stunned it just enough for Nex to grab a firm hold of it and prevent it's movement at all. He began tearing pieces of flesh off of it's body with his bare hands. He consumed this flesh whole and did not even bother to chew as he shoveled more and more of the flesh into his mouth. It took him hardly twenty seconds to finish devouring the creature and he remained clean of it's blood. His Reiatsu rapidly began to climb again and he quickly searched around for another hollow. Finding none, he simply tore open a Garganta of his own and rushed straight into Hueco Mundo. Appearing deep in the Gillian Forest he rushed around at incredible speed, equal to that of Sonido. He was on the hunt and quickly devouring every hollow that crossed his path. As his Reiatsu climbed, the force of it began to shake the ground all across Hueco Mundo, and even in the Seireitei. He had been too focused on going after more hollows to bother with closing the Garganta behind him.

OoC: Do you all not remember that Kaien became a hollow in soul society before being killed by Rukia and going to Hueco Mundo? He became a Los Muertos, if that's what it's actually called. Point is, according to Ketodama's description of a Los Muertos It's when the Hollow becomes the main controller of the body. For instance, remember when Ichigo was fighting his inner hollow? While the Vaizard were trying to keep him occupied, he became fully hollowfied but he still retained his bankai. If he hadn't won, Ichigo would've become Los Muertos also. (Btw, Los Muertos is referring to dead people. Literally meaning "The Dead". It's taken from the Mexican Holiday El dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead.)

 

Kris shunpo'd away to the 1st Squad Barracks. "Wait a... Damn." Takeshi shunpo'd and arrived there just barely at the same time as Kris. "Ha! I win, you cheated. You went ahead by a couple of seconds." Takeshi flash stepped all around Kris taunting him, and then ran into a pole. "What the... Oh.. Uhh.. Ha. Ha... Ha....." The pole turned out to be Captain Commander Simeno. "Hey.. Sir.. How's... Things?" Takeshi started sweating profusely. He gulped. "Please don't kill me."

Nako, Aoi and Dae (Idaero) were training with their master. "Nako! Your moves are sloppy! Why are you so distracted?" Nako couldn't help but keep focusing his attention on Aoi. She's amazing.. She moves graciously and.. She's.. Looking right at me! Nako put on a nervous smile which looked more like a confused and disgruntled sigh. Aoi just smiled and turned away. She.. Has no interest in me... Nako sighed and continued training with more focus. "Nako, Idaero, you two will duel. Take your stances!" Nako and Dae stood a few feet apart and readied their battle stances. "Go Nako!" She... She's cheering for me? "GO!" Nako's eyes went fiery hot. Dae was first to attack he jumped and attacked from above, Nako quickly dodged to the left and attacked Dae's side. Dae quickly parried Nako and tore a bit of Nako's Gi with his Shinai. Nako quickly retaliated launching a flurry of attacks all of which were parried by Dae. Dae quickly jumped after Nako's last attack and hit Nako right in the head. The master was quick to give him praise. "Great work as usual Dae!" Nako put his head down to go sit by the wall. Dae quickly followed. "Hey, Nako! Don't let it get to you, I've already been training for a month and a half and you just started.. It's natural that I beat you the first time, but honestly, you've got so much natural talent it makes me look like a joke." "Why was he so quick to praise you and not me then?" "Yeah... Sorry about that... It comes with the name, it's rather annoying really. Just because I'm a Kurosaki everyone treats me differently, but you don't have to. Consider me your first friend here. It's time for our break, do you want to eat together." "Oh... Nah.. I've got stuff to do..." "C'mon! I'll even bring Aoi along." Dae winks. "Re.. Really?! I.. I mean.. Yeah.. Sure, I guess I've got a bit more time.." "Hahaha! I knew it!" "Knew what?!" "Hurry up and come. Aoi! Let's go eat lunch!" Nako, Dae and Aoi went outside and ate together. Nako having no food or money he was well taken care of by Dae and Aoi. He'd never felt so happy. For the rest of the evening he talked to Dae and Aoi about various things and his dreams until they left for the night and Nako was taken to his room prepared within the academy.

OOC: Los Muertos was something I actually came up with myself, thought that it'd throw some variety into the RP. But one does not become Los Muertos by being overwhelmed by their Inner Hollow. A Vizard becomes one of Los Muertos when the Shinigami side and Hollow side come to an agreement and literally fuse together into one being who has all the powers of both, plus a few unique ones, Cero Del Fin for example. They are called Los Muertos because they are no longer Hollow or Shinigami and are therefore dead to both.

 

IC: It took Nex fully an hour and a half to finally sate his hunger upon the flesh of Hollows. By this time his unrestrained Reiatsu was creating shock waves of increasing force across both Hueco Mundo and the Soul Society. His face and hands were covered in blood, but somehow his robe remained completely clean. He shook himself slightly, sending a rain of blood drops flying out in all directions and covering Koga in a very substantial amount of it. He let out a contented sigh, before realizing that he did not have his glasses. At this he quickly ran to the Garganta he had created earlier, tearing out into the world of the living. A few hollows had gathered around the Garganta, preparing to pass through it. However, as they saw him coming the turned tail and ran, having seen what he had been up to for the past ninety minutes. He shot clear out of the Garganta and rushed upon the air itself back into the levitating building. Once there he calmly slid his glasses once more upon his face, thus ending the shock waves of Reiatsu rushing out from him. "Well, let's hope I didn't give away our position..." He let out a hearty chuckle before taking a seat against the wall. "Haven't eaten so well in Days."

Karek quickly became alarmed when Nex suddenly cut himself off while talking. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" he began but then saw that Nex had run off. He watched as he devoured the hollow and then ran off into the Garganta. Deciding not to get involved in that matter or die at Nex's hands, he just stood there, watching out the window and hoping that Nex returns. Does such hunger come with the Los Muertos powers? Karek stood there thinking when he finally heard Nex's voice as he reappeared. He turned around to him, staring at the blood on his clothes. "Was what just happened now a cause of becoming a Los Muertos?" Karek asked him, slight shock evident on his face. He had never seen such cannibalism like that before, even from regular hollow. He shook his head slightly, trying to get rid of the memories and the images he saw flashing through his head of what had just happened.

Nex let out a loud chuckle as he turned to look Karek in the face, a wide smile on his face. He calmly stood up and approached Karek, patting him heavily upon the shoulder. "Just an after-effect of Cero Del Fin. It has a tendency to almost completely drain your Reiatsu when you use it...at least I think it does. Like I said, first time usage." As before, every movement made the bells upon his hair jingle very loudly. He then calmly turned and walked back to sit against the wall, sighing contentedly as he sank to the floor. "Now then, as I was saying. Your Inner Hollow still believes that he has the power to overcome you and become the dominant force within your body. You have to convince him that even if he does, you'll just rise to power over him eventually and the cycle will go on into eternity. Once you've convinced him of that, you have to convince him to merge with you completely so as to form a single being. Oh, and by the way you will develop one of these." At the last sentence he pointed his finger towards the hole in his chest where his heart should have been. He obviously meant that if he became one of Los Muertos, Karek would develop a hollow hole.

OoC: Do you want me to know who Simeno is, or should I treat him like a stranger? Is he a fairly new Captain Commander or an old one? Also, because Kris and Takeshi were both trained by Urahara, should we have a back story?

 

"Ri.. Right.. Sorry, sake, sounds great." Takeshi relaxed a bit. Takeshi sat down next to Kris on the table with Simeno on the opposite side. "Heh.. Well.. This is probably the first time I've been in this room without having to fill out a report or something..." Takeshi took the hot sake and drank. "Hmm... I remember how much Yama-jii hated me because of how quickly I rose the ranks. Heh.. I could see the jealousy in his eyes when I became part of the Royal Guard. Wow.. Look at me getting distracted. As you said we need to talk, what about?"

IC: Diablo looks over at Nex, "Nex you forgot to close your garganta, oh and do you know of any way for arrancar to become los muertos or is it just from vaizards?" he asks quietly. Diablo swings his spear it just narrowly missing Karek and Nex the spear-like part of the building swings up copying his position and blocking any hollows from exiting the garganta. "Nex, did you have that type of hunger upon becoming a los meurtos or was it only just now that that hapened?".

Nex turned his head to look Diablo directly in the eyes. He pondered his question for a short time before answering. "It would require that Arrancar being essentially the reverse of a Vizard, with an Inner Shinigami as opposed to an Inner Hollow. I am fairly certain that something like that is an impossibility, though...there is another way I can think possible." He then calmly looked down to his Garganta, snapping his fingers to close it before anything else could make it's way through. "And to answer your second question, I only was overcome with such hunger because of the sheer strain I put on my body with Cero Del Fin. I can restore myself by devouring or otherwise absorbing Reiatsu, most effectively if it is from a Hollow or a Shinigami. And to answer the question that is doubtless about to come, yes I do occasionally devour the odd Shinigami who catches me at the wrong time."

Karek pondered on this thought that Nex had given him. Do I really want to make a pact with my Inner Hollow? Will he listen to me? Will he agree with my idea? Karek stood there, silent as everything went on, not even paying attention to the others. He then walked silently over to a corner of the building and sat down, placing one leg over the other in a meditating position. "Well Nex, I am going to try your idea. Let's see what he says." Karek said before closing his eyes. He began focusing and concentrating, trying to enter into his inner dimension.
