The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Notable for being the first Zelda game to set up an effective ship war. I'm personally Lidna, incidentally.

The ending was win, as was the last boss. The other bosses were way too easy, though.

As usual, I found the hard dungeon easy and fun; Arbiter's Grounds were quite awesome. The City in the Sky is just annoying, though.

TBH' date=' this game was too easy. The only dungeon I found slightly challenging was Stallord's dungeon. The only thing I haven't done in this game is get 99 Arrows. D:

Stallord's dungeon = easy. City in the Sky = hard. And you mean 100 arrows.

Didn't need Ganondorf. Zant was a perfectly workable figure in his own right. Both his appearance theme and battle theme were better than Ganondorf's, and frankly he was a better character (Zant had motivation - he was batshit crazy and spurned from the throne. Ganondorf just wants to take over the world for unspecified reasons). Ganondorf just dragged the game down, and made it much too similar to Ocarina.

Also, needed less remixes. The few pieces of original music (Midna's Lament, Blizzeta Stage 2, Zant's Theme, etc) were amazing, so why did we need the constant remixes of all the Ocarina tunes? I mean, there's nostalgia and fan service, and then there's blatant, "oh, we couldn't be bothered"-itis. Needed less old concept whoring in general, methinks. How many water temples have we had now? Four? Five? Did we really need another? There were some great concepts - City in the Sky, the Arbitre's Grounds, the Twilight Palace - but the first few dungeons really dragged it down.

Also, it needs voice acting. Like, seriously. Games have moved on to an age where presentation is actually important. You can't just stuff things in text boxes and hope it will suffice.

Basically, I liked it, it was an 8/10 game, but it had the potential to be so much better, and it was much too similar to Ocarina of Time.

[/quote']1) "Batshit crazy" is the anti-excuse; it replaces actual motivation with simple "that's just the way he is." On the other hand, seeing as this is the same Ganondorf as in WW, he's got plenty of motivation; notice that the Gerudo aren't there.

2) Actually, we haven't had many Water Temples at all; the only ones I can think of offhand are Lakebed and the nominal one, and they're fun anyway, so they get passes. Still, I'll admit that the dungeons up to Lakebed sucked. City in the Sky was executed very, very badly anyway.

3) This one is a tad... irrelevant. Even if we had voice acting, though, I doubt NoA would bother localizing it. Still, it'd be nice... as long as they were good VAs on both sides.

4) Truth; Nintendo doesn't excel at innovation.

4) City in the Sky is just tedious; Arbiter's Grounds weren't so much hard as fun.

5) Ganondorf, on the other hand...
