ragnarok1945
I have yet to hear any news on the Dark Knight sequel And did they say when the sequel's filming for Avatar will start? Same' date=' I look forward to see if the Joker has been cut or not. And they haven't, James Cameron has only said that a sequel is a possibility.[/quote'] When a movie makes this much money, there's damn gonna be a sequel. I'm pretty sure the only reason there wasn't a sequel to "Titanic", is because Jack died and Rose was like 1004 when the movie ended. it's not like you COULD make a sequel to that for another sinking ship, and that film wasn't too good anyway
(!Death!Reborn!)
Avatar is one of most greatest movies that ive seen.anyone know if there's a sequel to it?
ragnarok1945
that's the intention for another one, though nothing has been set in stone And I don't expect it to until Avatar leaves the theaters
Brushfire
I have come under the unyielding conviction that Avatar takes place within the Haloverse. Halo (weapons, vehicles-- one is even a Hornet completely) + WoW (animals, abilities) + Assassin's Creed (that thing they use is totally an Animus). EHN.
for me it was a little harder because I already wore glasses' date=' so adding another pair on was a little uncomfortable[/quote'] I wear glasses too =) I've seen loads of 3D movies so its nothing new for me. WHAT REALLY BUGGED ME IS THAT I NEEDED THE TOILET THE LAST 45 MINUTES!!
ragnarok1945
you should have thought of that BEFORE you bought the 10 gallons of soda then
Cloister
I liked this movie, nothing moreAnd I really don't understand why this needs a sequel (I mean what will the plot be)
ragnarok1945
well that's obvious you're going to have the Sky People's return for war, since they're going to stupidly come to the conclusion the only way to get the unobtainium is to kill the Navi race
Fanboy999
well that's obvious you're going to have the Sky People's return for war' date=' since they're going to stupidly come to the conclusion the only way to get the unobtainium is to kill the Navi race[/quote'] Expanded universe has the various tribes of Na'vi at war with one another. Possibility of an all Na'vi plot.
ragnarok1945
I personally find that part a little on the boring end that can be tied in with how best to deal with the sky people in the sequel
EHN.
you should have thought of that BEFORE you bought the 10 gallons of soda then I did !And it was water. Just plain old water.First time trying toffee popcorn too ;)
Fanboy999
I personally find that part a little on the boring end that can be tied in with how best to deal with the sky people in the sequel Humans are too OP to make a decent fighting storyline. Jake had to unite ALL THE NA'VI ON THE PLANET and he STILL would have lost (and these are just a bunch of mercenaries, no less) if they hadn't pulled that bullshit "Eynwa heard you prayer" move. Humans are boring. I'd much rather see more interaction between the Na'vi, since Cameron spent the past 11 years creating them.
ragnarok1945
oh please, if you really think about it, that's basically taking the exact same concept done in The Last Samurai for the final battle The only difference is that the final battle there we had to play by the rules of what happened in reality. In Avatar we didn't have to
SparkWyvren
this is my #1 movie now......truly awesome, and i want a sequil even though is will totaly ruin the sieries.
ragnarok1945
how would a sequel ruin the series exactly?
Cloister
That is what I dislike with some seriesThe make totally new foes and a totally different story that sucks
ragnarok1945
yeah but give Cameron some credit almost all the films he's made have been very good
Cloister
well, he made Titanic, and that is the most popular film ever (made most money on cinemas)
ragnarok1945
until Avatar surpassed it in money for Cinemas and in reality, that film by today's standards is more on the downhill scale
Fanboy999
That is what I dislike with some seriesThe make totally new foes and a totally different story that sucks 1. Since Avatar is OC, there is no source they can deviate from.2. I assume when you mean things like that, you are referring mainly to comic book movies. People love to complain about how it's different from the source, forgetting that there are MULTIPLE versions of most heroes (Batman's canon is so ridiculously convoluted, I'm not sure if anyone really knows how it goes). Movies make canon too.
ragnarok1945
and that's why with comic films the sequels don't go downhill as much because there's so much variations you can do Avatar, we have to wait and see
EHN.
Sequel that has failed HORRIBLY: Karate Kid 2 & 3 COMPLETELY ruined the plot.
Dissonance
Sequel that has failed HORRIBLY: Karate Kid 2 & 3 COMPLETELY ruined the plot. It's a lot easier to name sequels that have succeeded rather than ones that have flopped. *That is, the list would be a lot shorter.
