"Weird creatures?" Rob wondered how the boy knew about the creatures. "Yeah, they appeared about a week ago. They're these shadows, almost people, but more like monsters. They would appear when a strange man rises his arms in the air. When you kill them, they just disappear in a puff of smoke, and the strange man vanishes. Why, do you know what they are?" Rob hoped that this Hadeus could explain what was going on.

[Daxter]

"Hmm well I have recently learned they are called the Langerlites. And they have been showing up in many different worlds, including mine. I'm not sure who the man is...but I have a feeling that if I can find him, I can destroy the Langerlites. They are creatures similar to the Heartless."

Hadeus snapped his fingers and a Shadow Heartless appreared.

"I can control the Heartless, but the Langerlites are almost 3 times as strong as the Heartless. Everytime a Heartless is created, a Langerlite is created. So now I need to find this guy and stop what ever he is up to. Do you have any other information you could spare?"

[Spartan919]

"Umm...well, I'm a pirate training under the legend Jack Sparrrow, so I know my way with swords and ships and the like. If you would like, I could accompany on your quest to learn about these...Langerlites." As he talked about himself, he shrugged his blades, then pulled one out and began to polish it. When he finished, he put it away and pulled out the other one. He began polishing it too. "I would be a valuable asset...Plus, I'm increasingly getting more and more bored about Port Royal, which is where you are, just so you know. So...what about you? I just told you what I am good at. What are you good at?"

[Daxter]

Hadeus snapped his fingers again and the Heartless vanished.

"Well as you can tell, I can call Heartless to my aid, but I must be careful, if I use the darkness to much it could corrupt me. But I can also create portals to worlds, but I can't control where the portal goes. And I'm a very skilled swordsman. But unfortunetly I don't think before I aact, I'm very impulsive. But yes, you can come with me if you wish. I'm not sure what we should do now though..."

[The Warden]

OOC: Time for evil to show his face

 

IC: Kaxej entered a large cavernous room, there was a large throne. It was set alight by many burning torches. He was followed by an escort of six Invsible Heartless. 'Dismissed' he stated and walked up the steps to the throne and sat in it. A small herky jerky heartless appeared before him. 'Heartless Soldier, take yourself and a group of shadows to attack Port Royale. I have become aware of several possible wielders there, search them out and eliminate them' he ordered. The Soldier saluted and somersaulted, vanishing in a small black portal.

[Spartan919]

"We should investigate Port Royal more. See what we can learn about these Langerlites. And if we don't learn anything here, I'll take you to Tortuga. I know we'll learn something there." He wondered if the boy, Hadeus, even knew what Tortuga was. "So let's go see if anyone else knows anything else about these things. I'll be able to tell if they're lying, and I can always 'bribe' them if they don't cooperate. Or, I might just do it anyway. Makes things more fun."

[Daxter]

"Or if they don't want to tell the truth, they can talk to the Heartless." As soon as Hadeus said the words Heartless, and groups of Heartless appeared in the middle of town. (The ones Kaxej sent) "Those aren't my Heartless...they know I've betrayed them." Hadeus ran at the Heartless and began to slash at them. Once they were all destroyed Hadeus summoned one of his own Shadow Heartless's. He then began to rip of some cloth from his cloak and he cut the words "I Quit" into it.

"Take this to Kaxej" Hadeus said and the Heartless went threw a portal and was heading to the hide out of Kaxej.

 

"Ok so lets go Rob"

[The Warden]

The Shadow appeared before Kaxej and handed him the scrap with the note. He read it quickly and then cut the Shadow in two with his scythe. 'You quit, no one quits the Canba Warriors. POSSESSOR!' he shouted. A small black spiky heartless appeared, it was grinning at him. 'Go to Port Royale and follow Hadeus, do not allow yourself to be seen' he ordered. The little heartless nodded and vanished. 'Possess' Kaxej said in a warped voice.

[Spartan919]

"Right, follow me. It's easy to get lost in Port Royal. And watch your back, no telling if someone will try to pick your pocket." As he said this, he pulled out one of his swords, and stabbed a man who was trying to pick him. "And don't be merciful unless you have to, otherwise they will just try again." He cleaned his blade, then headed off toward a tavern.

[Daxter]

"Well I have nothing to pick from, all I have is my blade, and that's in my hands at all times."

Hadeus then began to follow Rob, he was hoping that some awnsers could be found here about the Langerlites. Plus he was hoping that everybody back in Halloween Town was ok. Hadeus kept getting the feeling that someone was following him, but everytime he looked back, nothing was there. Well he continued on, following Rob where ever he went.

Rob and Hadeus made it to a tavern. He entered, knowing Hadeus was behind them. He looked around until he saw a man sitting alone, sipping his drink. The man looked as if he was hiding from someone...or something.

 

"Hey, you!" Rob called to the man. He looked up. "What's wrong with you." The man gulped, then shook his head.

 

"These...things...they attacked my home, killed my family. I didn't know what to do...so...so I came here." Rob nodded.

 

"Were these things shadows, looking like monsters, about yay high?" he held up a hand.

 

"Yeah. Hey, how did you know?" he asked in surprise.

 

"I have my ways." He turned back to Hadeus. "And don't trust anyone." He turned back to the man. "Can you tell us anything else about these creatures?"

 

"No...sorry."

[Daxter]

"Oh believe me, I don't trust many people. I am having a hard time trusting you. Well I don't think we will get much information here, what about that man Jack you were talking about. Do you think he might have any information on these creatures? Or anybody around here who might be a threat? Cause chances are, someone with a dark enough being could either control the Heartless, or work with the Langerlite leader."

[Spartan919]

"Well, Jack Sparrow is certainly evil enough. But don't read me wrong, he's a great guy. You just don't want to be on the wrong side of his blade. As for actual evil people, there's always the head of the East India Trading Company. But I doubt we could get in and talk to him. Just follow me, I'll take you to meet Cap'n Sparrow." He turned and began walking toward the docks. When they got there, he turned and looked around. "Aha! There's his ship, the Black Pearl. Fastest ship on the sea." The pride in his voice was evident. "Well, come on." He walked up the gangplank onto the ship. He saw Gibbs leaning asleep against the wheel. He shook him. "Hey, Gibbs, wake up." Gibbs just snorted and continued to sleep.

[Daxter]

"Hmmm well I'm talking about anyone who is truely evil, anyone who has vengence or hate in the heart. Anyways, nice ship, so where's the captain? Please tell me that that sleeping guy is the captain." Hadeus didn't know what to think of this world, everything seemed so old and out of date to him. Maybe it's because he is used to a world of nightmares and fiendish creatures.

[Spartan919]

"No, the sleeping guy is not the captain. Oy! Gibbs!" Rob smacked Gibbs in the back of the head. He stumbled awake.

 

"Aye, Cap'n!...Oh, it's just you, Rob. Waddayou need?" Gibbs slumped. It was obvious that he was drunk.

 

"You need to stop drinking, Gibbs. We need to see the Cap'n. Is he around?" Gibbs looked puzzled for a moment, then nodded.

 

"Aye, he's in his quarters. But be careful, he's not drunk." Rob nodded his thanks.

 

"C'mon, let's go. I'll bet anything that Captain Sparrow knows someone evil." He headed towards the captain's quarters.

 

((So, do I control Jack Sparrow, or you, or what?))

[Daxter]

((Well you can control him if you want, but I only ask that he leads us to Barbossa))

 

Hadeus chuckled at the drunk man who was named Gibbs. "Wow, theres a man who can't handle his liquer." Hadeus followed Rob into the quaters of this Captain Sparrow. He wasn't sure what to expect, so he kept his gaurd up.

[Spartan919]

Rob walked up to a man wearing assorted beads in his hair, an exquisite (though old) captain's hat, and shoddy clothing.

 

"Aye mate, waddya need?" Jack said. He nodded at Rob, and motioned for him and his friend to enter fully.

 

"Cap'n, me and my friend, Hadeus, are looking for some truly evil people. Could you help us?"

 

"Aye mate, I could help ya. I'll take ya to Barbossa, the original owner 'a me ship. How's that sound, boy?" he asked Hadeus.

[Daxter]

"Hmm well Captain, as long as this man Barbossa, is tuely dark, and a hateful person take me to him. He may know something about what the Langerlites are doing here. So I need to see him. Well lets go then, and hopefully we will get some information."

[Spartan919]

"Alright, mate, to Barbossa we go. Gibbs!" Jack got up, and began walking out of the quarters. Gibbs rushed in, and bumped his head on the way.

 

"Aye, cap'n?"

 

"Prepare to sail. We're going to visit my old friend Barbossa."

 

"Aye, Cap'n." Gibbs paused, then rushed out, yelling orders along the way.

 

Rob turned to Hadeus. "I hope you don't get seasick, because we're going sailing."

[Daxter]

"Please, I live in the darkest wasteland that most people can only think of. I can handle a little waves."

***10 Minutes Later***

Hadeus has his head over the edge of the boat and is puking up what he only hope is some old Clam Chowder. "Uhhh....are we almost there yet"? Hadeus wasn't sure what to expect of all this, he woke up this morning in Halloween Town, and now he is sailing with pirates. Well hopefully he'd return home soon.

[Spartan919]

Jack walked up, and heard Hadeus. "Sorry, mate, but Barbossa's in Tortuga, which in most ships is a week away." Seeing Hadeus's pained expression, he quickly added. "But in the Black Pearl, we'll be there in three days." Rob walked up, and patted Hadeus on the back.

 

"C'mon, buck up man. How about we swordfight to forget about the seasickness?"

[Daxter]

Hadeus jumped up almost instantly. "Hmm well I must warn you, you won't defeat me." Hadeus charged up a Demi-Ball in his hand and threw it in the air, he then jumped in the air and his blade and the Demi-Ball collided. His blade was now glowing with a dark purple static, almost electric substance. He then ran at Rob and began to slash down at him.

[Spartan919]

Rob dodged the glowing blade. He jumped back, and pulled his blades out. "Don't think you're the only one with unusual powers. I discovered these when I was twelve." A huge spout of water shot up out of the ocean. It swirled around, then split into two spouts. The spouts coalesce into spheres, then fly at Rob. He slashes at one with each sword, and they take on a glowing blue sheen. He grinned at Hadeus, then laughed, and rushed him. He ran forward, brought both blades up like he was going to slice downward, then locked his knees, and slid forward. He pointed both blades outward, ready to chop Hadeus's legs off.

[Daxter]

Hadeus was a little impressed, but it didn't matter. He had this entire fight planned out. He did a backflip over Rob and landed behind. He spun around and held up his sword in a defensive stance. He stabbed his sword in the top of the ship and opened a dark portal in the ground. He went threw the portal and left his sword in the top of the ship...and waited...

Rob blinked. He hadn't expected him to open a portal. But he was forgetting one thing: Rob was a pirate. He strode towards the portal, brandishing his glowing swords. He knew that Hadeus had something in mind, but he wouldn't let him get the better of him. He decided he would go with the flow for now, and stepped through the portal.
