Mindscatter
We should have a separate forum for all fanfic unrelated short stories/ series/ poems/ songs posted by members. Don't you think that's a good idea? This way, we could also have some kind of contests there, and members could help each other to write.
Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
No support. It's pointless. The advantages you mentioned — id est, support and contests — are both already available in the fanfiction section. Fanfiction is just normal fiction without character- and world-building; realistic fiction excludes world-building anyway, so there isn't much difference there at all. Even in fanfiction, creating new characters is very common. Therefore, there is no discernible difference between fanfiction and free original fiction. Mindscatter
I said fanfiction unrelated! Get some glasses. I just think that some creative writings simply don't fit the fanfic forum.
Mehmani
I just think that some creative writings simply don't fit the fanfic forum. Agreed, but not many people write from scratch on Children's Card Game forums. Meh, support anyway.

Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
I said fanfiction unrelated! Get some glasses. I just think that some creative writings simply don't fit the fanfic forum.I just said that the line between fanfiction and original fiction is so thin it really can't exist. For example, I have a story based entirely on Lucky Star — indeed, Konata Izumi is the main character. However, it's composed almost entirely of original characters, I constructed two worlds and a language for it, it's in a completely different genre, and it's really impossible to tell that the story has anything to do with Lucky Star except by wild mass guessing and word of god. Where does that go? Ultimately, there's no point in separating fiction from fiction.

Still, Role playing needs to be separated from from Fan-Fic and get an OOC/Character Submit sub-forum, and then I guess Fan-Fic could have this. I'd use it for my Screenplays, which are currently no-where as General is a spammy hellhole. So yeah.

Mindscatter
Yay, it actually worked! And the best thing about it is that it's bloddy easy to implement. Remember the birth of the 1 on 1 forum? Hope a mod sees this...

Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
I still say pointless taxonomy is pointless. Besides the horrible insult to fanfiction writers, YCMaker won't waste his time with this; he barely answers good suggestions.

Tempest Dahlia
No support. Not because i'm trying to be an ass, but most short stories/poems/etc are posted in general and are generously crapped on by trollers and flamers. l don't see how making a new section would be any different.
