Welcome to The City. Here, it's rather black and white. Quite literally, in fact. The police force of The City is named Black and White, and they are sticklers for the rules, to say the least. B&W makes sure that in public, everything is orderly and runs as smoothly as humanely possible. Which is to say, that's high standards. They can't interfere on your private life, but there's always whispers on the horizons that say they're trying to...

 

However, there's never a totalitarian state without a rebellion. The underground of The City hosts the Taggers, teenagers with the ability to create Tags. Graffiti sprayed from miniature spraypaint cans that don't seem to run out, Tags have various supernatural abilities that the Taggers use to fight a vigilante war against the B&W. In and out like a shadow on a misty day, they're slippery beasts and are the B&W's main enemies.

 

You are a Tagger, and you have a will to fight against B&W. The war should be pretty obvious, almost black and white. However, everyone has morals and secrets, and these blur the lines to shades of gray. Is everything really that obvious, or is there a third party stirring beneath the surface? The only way to find out is to join the graffiti game.

Appearance: Gabe wears an old blue beanie over messy brown hair, which he hates if someone stole it. He’s average height, and is somewhat skinny. The kid can usually be seen wearing an old black vest and torn jeans, with a pair of belts, one holding his Can. He also wears gold-and-black checkered Converse when in normal clothes, and a pair of same-colored rollerskates when Tagging. Overall, the theme is carefully-chosen disarray; he wants to look like he just dived into his closet and put on whatever was hanging off of him. Not exactly organized, but it works.

Personality: Gabe... well, he’s an oddball. He’s usually somewhat out of it, and doesn’t exactly get the big picture of things. Although he’s relatively outgoing, it’s more of a confusing thing than anything else, leaving people puzzled on what he actually is trying to express. The teen does like taking initiative, and has a habit of forwarding plans to other Taggers on how to fight B&W.

Tag Name: Nevermore

Can Design: A pair of golden skeletons embracing on opposite sides of a purple background, with multiple plants in the same golden color under them. The two skeletons seem to be smiling almost.

Paint Colors: Nevermore’s paint is purple, with a dark gold outline. Within the outline are multiple random bones in the same golden color, none of them really connected.

Tag Effect: Gabriel can spray numbers on any surface, whether they be inorganic or human. By touching one of the sprayed numbers, he can then teleport to the location of the next highest number. (For example, if he had sprayed 3, 67, and 102, he can teleport to them in that order.) When he touches the highest numbered one, he teleports back to the lowest, and so on and so forth.

Appearance: A mildly tall, being 5"8, and a complex that is just as beautfiul as her glowing, crystal-like green eyes. She has long, flowing green hair that passes her tail bone, and in the midst of the forest of lucious green hair is yellow streaks. People think she painted her hair herself. She has an olive complex, and is a very curvy female. She always wears an emerald green shirt with gold stripes running down the side, with a picture of a black scorpion in the middle. Tag Effect: Makes a sizzling sound upon hitting enemies. When hits the B & W, can possibly imobilize them for a short amount of time, and can also cause a stinging pain due to it burning their skin.

Appearance: Jakoby is about 5'8 with messy black hair that's downed by a light grey beanie. He sports a black hoodie with a symbol of a white Saturn. His pants are navy cargo pants, and he usually has dark grey worn out sneakers. His eyes are a light blue, and he's lightly built. He also keeps a camera with him, which is attached to the right side of his waist.

Personality: Jakob is properly the most sarcastic person you would ever meet, and yet one of the most logical. On the outside, he seems to be more of a punk then anything. Reckless, tenacious, even sporting a degree of cruelness. Of course, that's only at first glance. Once you start to hang out with him, you notice his immense sarcasm, logical decisions, and mathematics references. His closer friends jokingly call him Jakob Man, a play on the series Mega Man. Where everyone was a robot; a play on him being heartless.

Can Design: A mixture of dark grey and black. A black cobra emblem is seen on the can.

Paint Colors: Once again, dark grey and black. Can alternate between the colors and various shades of grey in between.

Tag Effect: When painting any sort of image of chains, they lash out to the targeted enemy and restrain them. Unless they break or are cut, they will continue to hold the enemy down.

[spoiler=Appearance] Annie is relatively short, at 4'11, she is of average weight for her height. Annie's face consists of a very small nose,and proportionally large white-blue eyes. Annie's breast size is relatively average, though it does seem larger given her small size. The girl's hair is mostly black, however, it features red and gold streaks, and flecks of every color of the rainbow, it is roughly waist length, is never tied back, and is always pushed back behind her shoulders, it grows straight, and Annie has no fringe. Annie's clothing is more simple, torn, dirty white jeans, worn this way on purpose, and a short sleeved black shirt, which is plain aside from a spiral of red and gold down both sleeves, her choice footwear is long, black lace-up boots hidden mostly by her jeans, however, due to the many rips and tears on the jeans, they are more visible then they otherwise would be.

 

[spoiler=Personality] Annie is a fun-loving, carefree girl for the most part. She's kind, compassionate, talkative, flirtatious and outgoing. She's usually very happy, and is not quick to anger, however, she is easily upset and saddened, and when this happens, she tends to become very quiet and emotional. Annie is loyal to the death when it comes to her close friends, but that loyalty has to be earned through a long friendship in which one demonstrates true respect and caring for her.

Tag Name: The Seven Colors of Madness

Can Design: Black, with red and gold spirals. If one sees the can in the right light, they'll notice mult-colored specks of glitter all over the can.

Paint Colors: predominantly black, gold and red, however, all colors of the rainbow are visible in this tag. When on a surface, it appears as spirals of gold and red against a black background, with tiny specks of the other colors found throughout.

Tag Effect: When a B&W member, or simply anyone unknown to Annie walks by the tag, a multi-colored mist issues from it, this mist confuses and disorientates the target, which will often lead to them forgetting what they're doing, and either leaving, or wracking their brain trying to remember their business in the area.

Gender: Female

Appearance: Her face is kind and not intimidating, with soft features and blue-green eyes. Her hair is always dyed white, straight and thin and ends just beyond her shoulders. She usually wears a necklace with a small pendant around her neck of a dove cast in silver, wings spread open, which she considers her symbol. Her clothing is usually bright colours, venom green on raven black or a neon blue over an icy white and is never very revealing. She wears bulky bracelets, with all sorts of small gems and crystals hanging from them, and often a couple rings she'd considered particularly beautiful. Lastly, her footwear brings up one of her most distinguishing features in that it's rare she'll be found out of a pair of roller skates. Loving the speed it gives to her in her movement and her ability to escape most pursuers with the mobility, she finds it the only way she'd want to move around town.

Personality: One word resonates when people try to describe her personality, "individual". Her attitude isn't about rebellion, per se, but about not caring what she's expected to do. She was often teased at a younger age for acting too masculine, but didn't see anything in it, she was just doing what she wanted. She's lively and often too forward for her own good; friendly, peppy and always active, some people find her slightly annoying. Still, she's one to make emotional attachments underneath her reckless surface attitude, and tries to be generous and caring when possible, to her friends anyway.

Can Design: Taking the design from its name, the can is a monochrome cold blue oak tree on a plain white background, simple but with the oak rather elegantly designed.

Paint Colours: The can sprays a light, faded blue with speckles of white like sprinkles over whatever it has drawn.

Tag Effect: Touch the designs made by Winter Oak and touch ice. When something is hit by the cold spray of the can, its temperature will plunge. It has some interesting applications with objects, but is dangerous to life, if it lands on even just an arm, a person's entire body would slowly start to become cold as it desperately tried to send heat to the sprayed area.

Age: Appears 25, but his age is uknown.

[spoiler=Appearance] No one has ever seen his face since he left the taggers. He wears a mask containing two sides, one is black, the other white. Each side is similar to the old symbol of drama, the sad and the happy face. The black side contains the sad face, and the white contains the happy. Around the line where the black and the white meet, it is painted gray along the line in a squiggly fashion. His clothes are always black and white, but will always where clothes that blend in. He will often take off his mask for disguises, but he always finds ways to change it. He has never been seen and discovered his identity without his mask on. When he has his mask on, he is always wearing black and white stripped puffs on his shoulders, as well as around his thigh down to his knee, and often wears white leggings underneath with black and white clown shoes. In otherwords, when he has his mask on, he is wearing a black and white clown uniform.

He will repeatitively rant, and go on about living in a shade of gray, and use metaphors about if he is your ally or foe, if he is speaking truth or lies, and eventually reveals his insanity at the end of his rant. It is quite intimidating, and those who have heard it are scared half to death. He often pretends to be happy like a circus clown, or sad like a opra clown. Underneath his coat of insanity, he has a righteous interior for ending the conflict, and teaching people about rather instead of fighting for a side, should just compromise.......as he slits their throats, squeezes grey ink on their necks, and kills them.[/spoile]

Tag Effect: It emits a thin, gray, smoke along the ground, and causes R.O.G. to go into the floor like a shadow, and crawl around unnoticed, and cannot be felt or stepped on, like a shadow. He uses this to stalk, and kill his prey. It also creates illusions of him being in different places.(Q: Can it actually be supernatural, or does the power have to be something done by technology, or a weapon?)

Personality: Although Damian is mostly a loner, he is usually cares about most things in the area, including the people. Tag Effect: As he sprays a picture of a skull, the skull produces a high beat sound wave, enough to render an enemy unconcious unless they can completely cover their ears (usually with earmuffs of plugs).

Appearance: There's something gloomy about the young man, an air of mystique. His eyes are of darkest blue, and his raven hair covers his face alluringly. He's not very tall, but casts a long shadow. He wears a black tank top and a pair of torn jeans, and an old-fashioned tool belt with room for many small objects - his Can included. He wears a single red glove on his right hand.

Personality: Stephen isn't one for conversation, and those who know him have stopped trying. To the select few he manage to find interesting enough to maintain focus on, he usually behaves coldly and with resentment in his voice. He lives for Tagging, and tagging only.

As Stephen touches the symbol with his right hand, three foot-long hand-puppets materialize on the ground before him. As long as Stephen doesn't let go of the symbol, he controls the puppets' every action.

part 1 - just a puppet on a lonely string

 

It was 6 PM, on a Sunday. Normally, the inhabitants of The City would be enjoying some leisure time before the sun dropped low on the horizon. The cherry trees were in bloom, and families could be seen strolling in the large park at the center of the metropolis. All G-rated stuff, of course. The B&W doesn't take too kindly to those who make disorder in The City, as could be seen by the surveillance cameras set up on every street corner, the hallmark of the police force's omnipresent eye. There was one person who wasn't outside, though.

 

Curled up on top of a messy mattress, strewn with old socks and blankets, Gabriel stared at his phone, bored out of his mind. He had woken up that morning with an odd premonition that something was going to go down, and as a Tagger, he was more than eager to do so. "Well, this should be fun," Gabe chuckled as he pocketed his phone and pulled out a small purple spray paint can. Shaking it to mix the contents, he grinned, and jumped off the bed, grabbing his golden-black rollerskates that were propped aimlessly against the bedframe. Quickly slipping into them, he dashed out of his bedroom, the apartment he was in, and the building itself in record time and in that order. As he went, he flipped open the phone, and quickly sent it to the four people he knew were available. Finally, he was at the sidewalk. Looking up at the twilight sky, Gabe smiled.

 

'It's going down.'

Kelly violently skated down the dark alleyway of the 'City'. She was wondering why everything was so...dull. When she was skating down the uncolourful, paved brick streets, she noticed something glowing. It was a colourful Spray Paint can, coloured with green and yellow. Then she noticed the the large, black scorpion in the middle of the can. She picked it up, and then examined it. What was this strange object? And how had it gotten here. The last colourful thing Kelly had seen was...well...nothing. Suddenly, her phone started to vibrate. She picked it up and read the message of which she had recieved. "I guess I should start heading to Central Park then," she whispered, and with that, she left.

Jakob woke to a buzzing sound. Mindlessly feeling the ground beside him, he felt his phone and picked it up. His head lazily picked itself up, and he blinked at the screen. A raid? No, it was something else. Right? He pushed himself off the wet ground, and looked around. His home was conveniently under a large bridge, which was a good source for pictures. It had been 5 years since he left his family, at least he thought. He stretched, and walked over to the hidden part of his 'home'.

 

He grabbed his dark grey skates, a black cobra emblem en-blazed on them. Quickly putting them on, he made sure his camera had sufficient memory and sped off.

"Wheels..." Thought Annie "Bring my wheels?" the girl smiled, she grabbed her skateboard out from under her bed a rare occurance for her, she generally prefered to go on foot.

Annie quickly flipped her long, Multi-colored hair back over her shoulder, it was the most colorful thing in this city, atleast so far as she'd seen. She tossed her paint can into the air, it spun on the way down, and she caught it with ease. She didn't leave through her home's door, instead she lept from a bedroom window and ran onto the dull street, before jumping onto her board and making her way through the dreary, unexciting town, towards the demonstration.

"Time to shake things up a bit!" she said aloud, with a confident smile on her face.
