PikMan
In the one month I spent playing NSMBW, I have had an absolutely wonderful experience with the new game. I consider it to be a significant improvement over its DS counterpart, for several reasons. There is no one shining feature of the game, but there are a few great things about this game. STORY: CIf you don't know the story, let me summarize the story in one sentence: Peach gets kidnapped again. Here's a more detailed summary: On Peach's birthday, a giant cake rolls in. As Peach admires it, Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings (Yep, they're back!) jump out, throw the cake over Peach, and throw the cake on Bowser Jr.'s airship (They're back too!), and Mario and his friends give chase. Meanwhile, the Toads in the castle load Penguin Suits and Propellor Mushrooms into the cannon, and fires, scattering them all over the Mushroom Kingdom. After the compleximicated story of Galaxy, it's nice to have another simple story. However, the premise of Bowser kidnapping Peach is starting to get stale. GAMEPLAY: AThe basic gameplay remains the same: Mario must get from one end of the stage to the other on a 2-Dimensional plane, collecting coins and jumping on enemies along the way. However, there are 2 significant changes to the experience. First, there's the 4-player co-op we saw at E3. It's nice to compete, but there are some stages I wouldn't bother with it. Next there's the return of Yoshi. Yoshi's gameplay is pretty good, but he's too rare to make much of a difference. Normal bosses are basically the same: Three stomps and they're dead. There are several new power-ups, and they have some interesting effects. I'm not a big fan of 3D Mario games, so in my opinion, this game's gameplay rules. DIFFICULTY: AWhen I played the original NSMB for DS, I liked it, but it was just too easy (Except for World 8, Tower 2) and when I saw the E3 trailer, I was expecting it to be easy also. Luckily, It's quite possible that it's the most difficult 2D Mario game since The Lost Levels. But if you're not hardcore, don't worry. There's an in-game help system that has Luigi play through the level, and you can drop in at any point, or skip the level entirely. You need to die 8 times on the level to trigger it. There's also a hidden reward for those who complete the game without the use of this feature, but I haven't got there yet. PRESENTATION: BIf you've played NSMB for the DS, the graphics are nothing new: 3D character models on a 2D plane. There are a few slight improvements, such as the world maps which now scroll vertically instead of just going horizontally. There's not much else to say in the way of graphics. SOUND: AYou may think you know what to expect when it comes to music. Sure, there are several remixes, but a good chunk of the music is original compositions. one of these is the final boss theme, but I'm not going to spoil it for you. And yes, they kept those annoying riffs that make enemies dance. As for sound effects, you're right when you think you know what to expect. There's just your basic jumping, stomping, and coin collecting sounds you know and love. FINAL OPINION: ALet's just do some simple math: High Difficulty + Great Music +2D Gameplay + Yoshi + Classic Story = SOLID! With its wide assortment of levels, power-ups, and Goomba-stomping, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is an adventure so good, I feel sorry for any Mario fan without this game. P.S. World 8 Tower 2 from the original game was harder than BOWSER'S CASTLE in this game.
ShroomShroom
This reveiw is basically my opinion in a nutshell. Also, on the DS version, the Koopa Shell power-up is interesting, but it's no match for the Propeller Mushroom
Flame Dragon
Decent review. Also, am I the only person that found this game to be easy? Really, I played though the whole game and by the end I had 0 game overs and 99 lives. Yea with more then one person it can be hard, but even then I still had 0 game overs and 20 lives (with me jumping over more then half the worlds in the game). So easy, so easy. While it easy I'm assuming you did it one of two ways, those ways being replaying worlds where it's easy to keep getting lives or use one of the 99 life hints that the game tells you. I did neither. Hell, I didn't even want 99 lives. I just got them.

Dark
I've played it at a friend's house. One of Nintendo's finest works for the Wii. Or maybe I'm just biased.
