@Pikman: I had an simlar idea to use spore for an roleplay in the past, codenamed "The Antikythera Countdown". The story would have been that an mysterious plague was rushing thoughout the galaxy, which non of the empires could cure or even protect themselves against. The empires would have to work together to trace down the source of the plague, which has originated from the Antikythera mechanism on earth, explaining our abstance on earth. After dismantling the device, the races discover that the plague is emminating from a war between two races; The Vel' Naza and the Nox' Vela. The empires join the war in hopes to stop the plague, but infact has began the countdown to reviving a ancient race that gave the Grox there cybernetic enchancements and also crafted the Staff of Life; the Antikytherans. The war climaxes as though shear madness, someone creates an hybrid race of the Vel' Naza and the Nox' Vela to revive the Antikytherans as close to there former glory as possible. The Antikyerans, heartbroken on how the galaxy has become since there departure, begin eradicating the worlds of all the involved empires to restablish theirs. From there, the player base would have to fight to the bitter end on how there empires will surive, or not.

 

 

Your free to adapt the plot for your roleplay, but I would appreciate some credit.

Star Wars (was probably gonna have it as an rpg-ish rp (stats, set amount of max. distance to be moved per post, etc.)

Fairy Tail (based on the world of fairy tail the actual plot of fairy tail has nothing to do with it, based on 3 main guilds ands theior members (along with the new members/guilds/user characters)

Green Lantern (Orange/Greed Lanterns used their abilities and ended up turning the other corps against eachother and due to proximity of ther base were dragged into the war, an unknown evil covered in black symbionts, which feed off scraps/food he doesn't eat himself, going around and evivng those dead from the war to form a black lanmtern army for basic universer domin ance style thing and to wipe out the corps with)

Vampire Knight (actually i think I might have already put this one's plot up a couple pages ago... ^^')

Original Rp (based on something i was thionking of doing a s a story, light world full of nicer people along with elves whol live ijn a forest covering half of it, gateway between this world and an alternate dimension which is the 'dark world' breaking medieval time-ish, mages/magi is one of th most used professions for defense/healing/whatever..)

Yugioh (Idea has probably been done before.. users RPing as yugioh monster in a different world, to make it more unique i'm gonna have them humans capable of transforming into their monsters by using cards (defeated monsters will have a 1 in 4 chance of leaving a card which the player may use) along with spell cards to equip to themself having a pouch/container on their belt (which stays on while in monster form) which they store these cards able to activate them by placing them into a holder strapper around their chest (which disappears replacd by a square box with a button in monster form when the button is pressed they turn back to normal human) Whilst in Monster form they use up 'Life Points' (which increase constantly in Human form by 500 per minute] to a max. of 8000 decreases every minute by 1/2 the used monster's ATK (this increases as its atk is boosted by equips or other effects))

A random idea I had for a roleplay was to crossover Elements of Soul Eater with a period between Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D'S and Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal. The main consept would be that after a catlaclysmic attempt to create faster then light travel after the recovery of the Infinity from the ruins of Yiliaster, the world would fuse with the astral world. The main effect of this event, other then the massive terrain and social changes that the peoples of both worlds would have to adapt, is that select inderviduals can transform themselves into duel monster cards that inflict real damage.

 

Then they would be partnered with someone compatable, get some Yu-Gi-Oh! verson of Soul Resonance and would be trained by some mystical being forged from the disaster. Somehow, during the events we explain our own way on how to seperate the worlds and how the XYZ monsters, Number and Chaos Number archtypes where created, while fending off some evil that wants to take over both worlds though the abuse of the Yu-Gi-Oh Soul Resonance.

 

Ideas? Comments? Some responces would be nice.

I haven't watched or read Soul Eater, but I think that would actually work, although I'm not a fan of RPing as a Duel Monster.

 

I have an own idea, though. The year is 2037. During the year 2027 characters calling themselves Avatars appeared all over the world and claimed that if humans did not change their way of treating the environment and eachother bad things would happen. Needless to say, most humans didn't take the doomsayers seriously, and in the year 2028 really bad things started to happen. A previously unknown sickness, casually called Godtouch, wiped out 70% of all humans, and machines with no known engineer started hunting down those who survived the Godtouch.

 

Now, 9 years later, only 5% of mankind has survived, and has in fact adapted to the Godtouch, turning it into a weapon to use against the machines. As it turns out, the Avatars were, in fact, avatars of gods, and it was also the gods that created the machines. The gods are now trying to wipe out the last remaining humans to create a new world; one that is untouched by humans. The remaining humans are not happy about this and will try to destroy the gods to save their race.

Aesirson, you would not roleplay as a Duel monster itself, but instead a normal person or Astralon (Or Astralite? Whats the proper term for a citizen of the Astral world?) that can transform into a Powerful deck.

 

As for your idea, it sounds nice. I would love to have a Avatar slot if you launch it.

And the Avatars would be gone as their only use was to warn humanity that it was about to go down, but I guess I would allow 2-3 players to RP as a god. And the gods are also machines. It will be explained why in the RP if it get's that far.

RP with a Battle Royale type plot (Battle Royale is a novel/manga/movie about a class of students being kidnapped to partake in a TV show where they are forced to kill each other until only one stands, who wins. The series is broadcast on Television. The funny thing is that the Yugioh manga referenced Battle Royale in the Duelist Kingdom arc, arguably justified since the arc was an Elimination tournament, at least the first part, and took place on an island, which I have forgotten to mention) Basically that, except instead of shooting each other to death, dueling. The loser dies through an electric shock or something like that.

Yeah, does that sound like a good idea?

Aizen now wants to have a team of 10 Elite warriors, but this time he is more interested in Vizards. So a competition is held, many young undergraduates have broken through into the human world, with 5 of them that were sure to become the Warriors Elite.

 

SOunds good ?? make it hot by adding some spices and curry in it.

Huh. It'd be interesting if a] you had the literacy necessary to run a roleplay, and b] you were going to do anything other than having everyone turn on Aizen for unconvincing reasons halfway through.

No. The roleplayers would have to die if they lost. I recommend a parody in which the only penalty is elimination from the tournament, but the players treat it like death and use Battle Royale tactics. That would be a lot of fun, and you'll probably net the experienced roleplayers because you're doing something different. (I know I'd play that.)

Must they be Numbers? Numbers are so boring. The rest of it seems interesting, though. I'd develop the villains a bit before posting.

I was thinking of writing up my very own RP, but I do need help with the planning.

 

So, here is what I have for the basic plot.

 

The RP is set in this world called 'Skir'- which (in a nutshell) is a giant circular island floating in the sky. It's quite small, with its diameter being only 50 miles. Everybody who inhabits Skir leads a peaceful life- living so close to each other has brought everybody together. Then one day a man brings a strange vehicle- the man calls it a Sky Boat- to the capital city of Skir (aptly named Skria). He tells tall tales of islands beyond the one that they inhabit and of a mask called the 'Face of Desire'. He says that the mask has the power to grant any one persons wish... with some exceptions. These so-called exceptions include bringing back the dead and wishing for something that would cause the death of someone. After a few weeks of staying in the capital, he states to the public that he would be off to find the mask; he also adds in that he needs a new crew to help him on the journey for the mask. The players would be the ones to take places in the crew as they search for the mask.

Are we explores in an unfamiliar surrounding, searching island-by-island? That could be interesting, an action-based roleplay that isn't necessarily based on fighting. Or would it take place primarily aboard the ship? Is there going to be a main villain we're opposing here, or is it more of a co-operation-against-an-unfamiliar-surrounding based thing?

Well, the main idea of the roleplay (which is now up; it's named Burning Black) is that the man with the sky ship has an actual map of the sky that would actually tell him where he is and allow him to backtrack as to not get lost. A bit early in the story I was planning to introduce a villain that would also be searching for the mask. The villain also has a sky ship, which most would find odd. On top of that he would also possess part of the mask, which spurs Alius (the captain) to start searching for the other half.

 

And although they lead a peaceful life, I would assume that since they live close- their home island was only 68 km by 46 km- they would all know each other; this in itself would lead to some interesting character interactions because some of them might harbor negative feelings for others in the crew. Fights could easily break out on the ship. Everybody is also filling in a certain role; one character is a doctor, while another one is a cartographer. It all seems like it is going to go smoothly.
