Unfortuantely this is still on the drawing board, but I have a pretty good idea for a Yugioh RP.

 

[spoiler= Yugioh: Children of Time]

This will be an inter-timeline war between two sides; The Guardians of Time and the Destroyers of Time (also dubbed "Time Crackers")

The Time Crackers are wreaking havoc across the timeline, attempting to stop and change all the important events in history and lead to stopping the evolution of Duel Monsters. The ___ (Insert number here) Children of Time must protect the historic events and protect the timeline from the destroyers of time. It will be an all-out war to stop these corrupted humans and bring peace to the timeline. The Ages that this RP would take place in are:

 

 

The Primitive Era: The birth of Duel Monsters. The very roots of Duel Monsters. Only Normal and effect monsters were used here.

The Egyptian Era: The proper use of Duel Monsters. Also the birth of Ritual Monsters and small amount of use Fusion Monsters.

The Middle Ages: This was Yugi's time, when dueling had become a simple card game.

Generation X: This was Jaden's time, when Fusion monsters were extremely popular.

The Technological Era: 5D's era, where Synchro Monsters were widely used and Turbo Duels were created.

The Dark Times: The rise of the Earthbound Immortals.

New Hopes: When ZONE was defeated and the future was changed.

Exceeding Era: The era when Exceed monsters were introduced and humans were becoming much more advanced and powerful.

The Birth of the Guardians: The Guardians of Time were born here and sent to different time regions as babies to grow up, and one day be recruited.

Modern Days (Present): This is where Time itslef is put in danger and Astro Tempus must find the "chosen" children of time.

 

 

Need advice for this RP, as I say, it needs imrpoving....

i'm thinking of a digimon rp and i'm craving to get the plot done. i think it will look good.. will post plot here before i make the thread...

 

Plot:

You are a high school student from a high school you attend. You belong to the top 10 of your class. You also belong to the Computer Club. After going home, all of the members of the Computer Club was asked to check some if there are viruses in the computer. You then saw a mail. You checked it and looked at it. It says "Welcome to the Digi-World". You called the others and asked about the mail he checked.

 

You were seemingly questioned at it says the "Digi-World". You have no clue what it is. You clicked on it to know more information. You blacked out for a minute. You then awaked in an unknown world full of trees and plants. You were holding something. It was a Digi-vice. You then hear something shouting your name.

 

You were confused of what's going on. Then suddenly a creature gets near you and called your name. It said, "Hello, you must be ______. I'm glad to meet you. You have been sent here, at the Digi-World by the higher Digimons to save us from the villainy of Kronomon. You were extremely confused. But it looks like your destiny is stated. You are destined to be a Digimon Tamer. You joined a group of Digimon Tamers together with their Digimons to defeat Kronomon. They are called the Digi-Saviors.

 

And now your adventure awaits, to defeat evil and bring back the Digi-World's glory. Now bring your Digimon and save the world!

I think that's just what Digimon Season 2 was like, except for the enemy, the way you first enter the digital world, and it seemed a bit rushed. However, I would love to be in a Digimon RP after so long. I approve of this plan! ;)

Personally, Luxary's opinion is "right", by only to certain amount of degree here. Like, that is a question I usually ask someone about there role-play. "What makes this role-play stand out from other role-plays?"

 

With that being said, Luxary has already asked this question for me, but there were other things that he neglected to ask.

 

In most cases, you'd be suprised at this, but a lot of people can literally dodge this question without even answering it. So, using your plot as an example Angrybird, I would literally say "Oh, yeah the plot. What makes it so special? Psssh, don't about it, it's only a plot."

 

Of course, in a actual conversation, you wouldn't say that exactly, but what I mean by that, is that there is a Kingdom Hearts role-play that is currently operated by Merciful Iliaster, Codename:Lady, The Swift Assaulter and me, where the plot is this (of course, you don't have to read it if you don't want to. this is only an example):

Using the same piece of infomation that I'd just put down, the plot that is being used is enough infomation to give the reader a gist of what's going on, but still blank enough for A LOT of questions to be asked. Like, "Who is this 'Unknown keyblader'?" and stuff like that. So naturally, a response would've been "this keyblader is the baddy of the series, but later turns good."

BUT!! Depending on how well you can present your story, you could literally dodge that question and keep the flow of the story at a steady pace. IF you know what you are doing of course.

In the end though, it's a good idea to keep a balance of a "Simple and Clean" story (and God forbids that I denouce my love that song) and a "Heaven and Hell" story (a complicated story in other words).

 

However, the major problem that I do see with your role-play, is that you are just giving us an opening to the role-play and not a plot. Obvisouly, I will agree with Luxary here that your Digimon role-play does sound like a cliche plot (and this is a fan of the first four seasons where I lost count at Data Sqaud speaking). It's kinda unoriginal and a...well, I don't mean to be rude or mean, but it's kinda bland way to draw in your reader for your story. I mean, I personally feel like saying this!

 

"AHHHHH!!! WHOAA!!!!HECK!! What the heck is the plot!? AARGGGGHHHHH!!!! Where am I!? What am I!? Who am I!? What's this funny sensation WHOOSHING pass me!?!?" Asked the giant Sperm Whale, who, in the all the probablility of the universe -which had a chance of 9,000,000-to-1% of actually apearing at that exact moment- only had a mere couple of seconds truely trying to discover who he was and realize what his destiny was as he was falling at inredible speeds from the sky. This is what he tought:

"Air! This is what it should be called!! Air!! Then what's this huge Round thing comming towards me really, really fast that looks like it'll hurt if I hit!? It needs a name!!Ound...Mound...GROUND!! That's it! HELLO GROUND!! What's your name-"

 

Unfortunately the whale died before he could get his answer, but the fact is, you really have to put some more thought into the opening. But all-in-all, if you can make this fun for whoever does join your role-play, then you can avoid some questions (or if not, you can just give a one-worded answer like my fellow Co-Worker, Lady here does. Which she does all-soo-well.)

I shouldn't be typing this late at night but okay whatever.

 

So, I was watching ZeXal or whatever you kids call it.

 

And I'm like,

 

"Gee, the setting is actually pretty boss. Virtual duels and all that s***."

 

So I kept watching and I noticed something.

 

"Man the villains are so... Childish. Kid who wants to destroy a guy's deck, a hacker who just wanted to make some fireworks, and some little kid wanting to ruin another kid's social life. Okay well, that last one is pure evil but still."

 

So I thought. SURPRISING I KNOW.

 

This is what I came up with.

 

The pendant that Yuma obtained was never given to him, it was snatched by a temple raider (i'm presuming the pendant was from a temple hence his EXPLOREEREREREREE parents) and eventually auctioned off. The person that bought it suffered an "ACCIDENT" (HINTHINTHINT) and the pendant was found by another person, who also suffered an "ACCIDENTE". (i warned them about the stairs. i told them.) The people that suffered from an "ACCIDENT" amounted to 98. The 99th was the daughter of a rather influential government agent. In the middle of a rather emotional duel, she ripped the pendant from the necklace that held it and woke astral.

 

She also die- I MEAN SUFFERED AN ACCIDENT. God I'm so clever.

 

Daddy wasn't happy.

 

Cause of death was uncertain, but witnesses said she was shocked by something. A single card was found on her body, far from where her deck had dropped. The card and pendant were recovered.

 

The witness also managed to identify the boy the girl was dueling, and he was tracked down. The SWATguys were all like "OPEN THE DOOR" and the kid was like "YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE" but this is ygo so they just dueled. The boy alone in his house, because he had killed his family stating he was just 'paving the way for my holy master'.

 

He was detained and brought for a screening/interrogation. He seemed to be emotionally unstable, well f***, just unstable in general.

 

Supposedly he was an A student and star junior dueler.

 

So they brought in a psychologist.

 

During the interview, the psychologist presented the card 'No. 39: Aspiring Emperor Hope' and the boy freaked out, claiming the card was his holy master and demanded to have it.

 

After a few tests with the card (mainly seeing it being used in a duel by various people) they concluded that it induced immense emotion in the person using it, and it was extremely difficult to part them from the card. Said high amount of emotion would cause them to do... Extreme things.

 

Like murdering people.

 

There eventually was another murder case, with a witness stating he was watching a duel when the victor walked over to the loser and stabbed him repeatedly before ripping off his arm and then attempting to consume it yum arm god now im hung-back on topic.

 

The witness noted the victor seemed to be different after summoning his key card: 'No. 17: Revise Dragon.'

 

At that point, the group of government officials decided to create a group to seek out these number cards and solve some brutal murders occurring in the main city of zexal or WHATEVER YOU GET WHAT I MEAN

 

so yeah thats it

 

There are probably some unexplained stuff in there, either 1. use common sense. or 2. wait until tomorrow for me to write out a better version.

It's really not even YGO. The setting is there but really only one person will be dueling. (No. Cards can only be claimed by beating them in a duel) otherwise you'll duel just to pass time between people.

 

The rest is mystery/action/whatever.

How about having the digital world and the human world start to merge and the people themselves can become the digimon while trying to prevent or help the merge.

In the region of Inggura, things are stirring…..

In recent times, the stretch of ocean between Unova and the other four regions was shattered by earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. Many a seaside city suffered from the colossal waves, and clouds of dark smoke blotted the sky for many a day, stopping the sun from shining.

After many days of suffering at the hands of these disasters, the sea calmed, the smoke clouds disappeared, the earth stopped rumbling. Cautious pilots from Mistralton City flew their cargo planes over the stretch of ocean to Johto, delivering overdue cargo. As they flew, something was spotted.

A large island, with smaller islands scattered around, had appeared. The earth of the new territory, despite only being, at most, a few days old, was blooming with life from above. It was green and lush, scattered with high snow capped mountains and shadowy forests.

The cautious pilots sped up their planes, and, when they landed in Johto, showed pictures and told tales of the new region, which one pilot called “Inggura”, which stuck. Many a new trainer, and many a pro wished to journey to the new region, to see its wonders, but the law enforcers of each region said no. Not like that was going to stop the most determined….

A few weeks later, ships set out from each of the 5 regions, each with its fair share of trainers and scientists. Their mission: To populate the region of Inggura.

But each mission comes with its own risks. There are some dastardly characters on the boats, those who want the region of Inggura for themselves. And what better time to strike as when the region is new and defenceless?

 

 

Basically, theres a new region, and people are going to populate it, and cultivate it, and all that stuff. And some evil people are gonna try and take over he region. CLICHE IS CLICHE.

Alright. new plot

 

[spoiler=Plot]While evil still lurks the Digi-world, 2 teams has formed, Lunarcrest and Heatstone. These 2 teams have been rival since the teams have been made. Lunarcrest belongs to the Mt. Cresent, which lies in the west of Digi-world and the opposite of that direction is Mt. Flame, which belongs to Heatstone. These areas are secured with tamers.

 

Meanwhile, an evil Digimon named Kronomon, has descent from the stars, which has a plan to destroy all Digimons and Tamers so he can make an army of new Digimons, then he'll make a portal to enter the Human world and take over it. Now, Lunarcrest and Heatstone were forced to join forces to defeat the evil Kronomon and save all the Digimons and Tamers.
