You may remember me as the person who updated a list of RP ideas. I now have figured a basic plot for some of them, and I want to make those. But I can't run 5 Rps at the same time on my own, so I'll need some help running them.

 

1:

The Shadow Sun, an action movie RP.

A brilliant team of young scientists have invented a device that will change the course of history, a teleporter, codenamed the Shadow Sun. Several evil factions are naturally vying for it, and have kidnapped the team-members. You're one of a team of mercenaries, federal agents, or military people ordered/hired to rescue the scientists.

 

2:

Dimensions of light, a DC comics Lantern Corps RP, and a follow up to the Blackest Night Dc event.

A great crisis has occured in the DC multiverse. In the universe we are familiar, there are 7 lantern corps, most notably the Green Lanterns, each representing a different emotion. There is a corps for will, rage, love, hope, compassion, and others. But in other universes there are corps for other emotions, delerium, remorse, happiness, curiosity, and many others. In some universes, there is a Maroon lantern corps, powered by lust for power. They have ripped through the walls of the multiverse to seize control. The other corps must unite against them. OOC: the multiverse means you can have characters from completely different franchises. For instance, one of my characters will be Alphonse Elric from the Manga/Anime Fullmetal Alchemist.

 

3:

The Great Alliance, A Godzilla RP

Godzilla had bested them so many times. Them being his enemies, King Ghidorah, Gigan, Megalon and many, many others. Then, a mysterious new monster came from space, a godzilla sized sentient humanoid, who revels in destruction. He realized he could unite these enemies, into a powerful force. Now Godzilla, his allies, and humanity must unite to fight this menace.OOC: You'll be able to play a canon monster, or create one of your own.

A Tale of 5 Doctors, A Dr. Who RP

Need a little more plot help with this one.

A strange and powerful force has come upon the universe. Not just 1, but 5. It has rended holes in the walls, allowing transport between them. The Doctor and his companion(s) naturally decide to investigate, and meets the other 4 different doctors and their companion(s). They must team up to fight this menace across time, space and dimensions.

Mindscape 2 - The Unwinding Fable.

 

London, year 1999. Detective Sir Niles S. Delay is sent to the mansion of recently deceased landowner Michael Hays in order to resolve an inheritance dispute that seemingly went to murder- and quickly finds the next-door Children's Mental Hospital may be more deeply involved than he thought before.

 

Players play as wards from the mental hospital, children with extraordinary Psychic Powers that allow them to project themselves into a ghost-like being and enter the minds -the Mindscapes- of others, armed with the manifestations of their personal ID, Ego and Superego, to retrieve information, heal mental injuries or anything in between. Together with Niles, they set out to unravel the mystery as it unravels into a conspiracy far larger than previously expected.

It sounds interesting, but I may just be biased from being involved in the original and the remake of the original, and therefore I know more than your summary explains.

 

It depends on how you try to go about it. There's not much indication of what to expect.

I have been considering making a Pokémon RP set ~30-40 years before the adventures of Ash ketchum with playable characters such as Samuel Oak, Agatha (of the elite 4), Blaine and mr.Fuji. It would be set in a Kanto that is a miz between the game world Kanto and the Anime World (thus gaining more locations). I would probably try to make the world a bit more realistic (because letting 10 year olds run around with vicious monsters is not realistic and what parent would let their child give up education entirely in order to train monsters anyways?) compared to the anime and games, basically making Kanto more like our world (during the 50's-60's) but with pokémon. A lot of mosifications would have to be done from what we know about pokémon as well since some things would not exist at this time, such as the modern pokéball and the pokédex.

 

I don't really know how to build a plot around it though. Team Rocket would exist at this time, but perhaps not being as organized yet and being run by Giovanni's mother as he would be a mere 8 years old or something at this time of age. I don't think I would want to build the plot around Team Rocket either, I'm not entirely sure.

 

If anyone thinks this sounds like something they'd be interested in helping out with, let me know. Maybe we could plan this RP together over PM :)

You might want to have a look at the mangas if you're tying to make them more realistic. While they themselves aren't exactly perfect, they give a good basis; for example, one of them mentions students are only let off from studies for a year and a half as an optional credit-replacement program- It's even hinted that they do this because their military is made primarily up of trainers.

 

There was an interesting plot I saw a while ago, and I can't remember where it came from. Basically, it stated Team Rocket started as a Black Ops devision of the Kanto military during a war with one of the other countries, and refused to disband after they became unnecessary -making a smooth transition into organized crime.

 

Actually, that could be a thought. During the actual 1950s, the world was just starting to recover from the Second World War, and the Cold War was starting. Perhaps in this timeline, Kanto just finished a war with some other country and is dealing with the fallout from that- the plot could be a Cold War type of thing, with superpowers just starting to emerge. Perhaps Team Rocket could just be showing their true colors as a traitorous organization, and are trying to gain power by controlling a Legendary and giving their power to one of the two countries.

 

Could be interesting- a political thriller set in 1950s Pokemon.

Haha yeah I started up something like that long ago, but it fell flat quite quickly, can't remember why though...

 

I like the idea I had though and I wanna try to remake it but I want to add a good plot to it (because I think the one I'd made before kind of lacked that).

 

aha, I've never really read the mangas so I wouldn't know much about them :) I was thinking that maybe people are only eligable to go off as trainers after finishing their primary edumacation (High School) and maybe even being required to have at least a C+ (passing grade basicly) in certain subjects. Just to make sure that the young adults that want to head out on a journey are fit to do so. Maybe it could even require that you attend the pokémon trainer school and getting passing grades in the classes there (should be like a 1-1,5 month course) before truly being able to apply for a trainer card.

 

I really like the idea of making it fit into the whole Cold War pokémon style kind of thing! :o Team Rocket could pray on the fact that they are needed again for the country as spies and then starting to shift into criminality at the same time. The government could be hesistant to do anything about it as well with fear of losing their prominent organization of spies. What they don't know however is that the Rockets are also working on a secret expeiment where they are trying to clone a legendary pokémon (the whole mewtwo thing should've started around this time, even though it would probably take several years before an actual breakthrough) in order to gain more power and being able to not only end the cold war but also being able to get so much power that they could do whatever they wanted in Kanto (and maybe even other regions) without the government interfering.

 

I might put the setting in ~1960 because otherwise the main characters would be too young (I think they would be born in the late 40's or something) to be pokémon trainers. This wouldn't really change much gor the plot idea of a cold war though as it didn't oficially end IRL until 1991 :)

I'm thinking about making an RP that takes place in the Duel Monsters Spirit World, 5000 Years after the main events of yugioh 5ds.

 

Plot: Ancient Fairy Dragon is imprisoned by Archlord Kristya, who felt that Ancient Fairy Dragon was going soft and though he should take over. He now rules the Spirit World, but the Darklords want to take it over, using dark magic and their emmisaries, the Monarchs, who are under an Illusion made by Darklord Desire. Will you choose a side, whether to fight for Kristya, or Superbia who leads the Darklords and controls half the Spirit World?

OK a few things:

 

1. Your protagonist murdered a Signer Dragon. If you're going for a gray and gray morality, then that would be fine. But your protagonist is a freaking angel, so that's just woefully out of character.

2. I'm pretty sure Archlord Kristya is female (Yeah, her title is Archlord, but that's the Archetype, not her gender. Burstinatrix, Knospe, et al aren't "Elemental Heroines" after all) so you have some pronoun issues to work through (And that Allure Queen thing would probably bump your demographic up to around PG-16)

3. Why make the Monarchs villains? Sure, if they were controlled to turn evil, then that'd work, but you didn't say that at any point you just kinda threw them in there for no reason.

4. You have the Archlords (Archangels in the OCG) and the Darklords (Fallen Angels in the OCG), but you're lacking a major part of the Archlord/Archfiend mythos, that being the Archfiends themselves, ya know, the most likely candidates to corrupt the Darklords, unless Superbia just said "Screw it, I'm evil now. Mwahahahahahahahaha."

Start by choosing a specific youtube video for it. Post the link on the first post, the RPers would play those specific roles of that RP, but of course change it up, just do something like that, it's quite simple after you think about it
