Quiksilver
I also have a question. I'm just asking for further reference; my second RP is just getting off the ground, so don't worry, this RP won't be coming out anytime soon. I'm just asking in advance. So, here's the question; would anyone like a Pokemon Ranger RP, or should I just stick with a regular Pokemon RP? I also have an idea that is kinda a Adult Version of Percy Jackson, (And by Adult Version I mean it is not teenagers fighting in magic armor), where the events of Greek Mythology are being redone in the Modern Day, with Demigods, sons and daughters of the Gods fighting it out once more. Will include such things as gladiator fights, magic, and PURE AWESOMENESS.
CrystalCyae
Pokemon Ranger RP? Oh yes!Adult Percy Jackson RP? Hell yeah! I go for both.
Quiksilver
Thanks BDD. The Pokemon Ranger RP will probably come out in a couple of months, maybe less. The Percy Jackson RP will take a bit longer.
Dharc
Hi. I want to make another Yu-Gi-Oh! RP, but I'm not sure how I should go about doing it...I don't want Duel Academy to be a major focus, and I don't want Alternate Dimensions and crap like that. And NO MOTORCYCLES. Sorry for ruling a lot out, but I don't want to have a cliche thingie-majiggie. Anyway, I really want help with this, so...Yeh...Thanks in advance. If you could give me a little more space to work with, I could give you a hand. I only know what you don't want in it.
Dharc
Anything I didn't say (I.E. Duel Spirits, Shadow Games (They're different from alternate universes, y'know), Some other sort of ancient prophecy that doesn't involve attributes, stuff like that) is good to go. Again, I don't know much of what to do with it, and that's why I need your help, peoples.

Again, I don't know much of what to do with it, and that's why I need your help, peoples. To my experience, almost any RP that focuses on a select group of people that are revealed later to be important (Signers/etc) rarely goes very far because it takes longer to integrate them into the story as one group, and until then they just bounce around obliviously until some sort of external plot device tells them about it. So I would avoid anything with prophecies or Signers. Also, tournament-based RPs are unsuccessful more often than not, due to keeping too many people inactive in the plot for a set amount of time. With that in mind, is there some sort of villainous force or motive you'd want to use? Knowing what the villains are after is crucial because their actions dictate the pace of the plot more often than the protagonists actively doing anything. Blackstone Dresden
If you're gonna go with the prophesy/fate/it's happened before, it'll happen again/whatever route, then I'd suggest focusing the prophecy on the antagonists, making the bad guys the plot relevant group, while the heroes are just people stubborn enough or naive enough to think that they can fight fate. It also alleviates Evil's issue of not having the plot relevant people know each other, since, as long as the antagonistic group's been around for a while, the bad guys already know each other and have already been brought together. Premier Alexander Romanov
I'm planning a Pokemon RP for more experienced roleplayers involving a revisit to the Orange Islands and an updated Orange League. Any comments, suggestions, or ideas?
evilfusion
The Orange League was the one where they did random challenges rather than straight battles, yes? Sounds...interesting. Limiting it to experienced roleplayers may allow it to actually succeed than die out early, but it depends on the type of challenges that could be involved. RPing things like the Water Gun target alley or the races could be...difficult or interesting, depending on how it's handled.

Asriel Dreemurr
Alright, so I had this idea for an RP based primarily on a conflict between two Warring Nations, Altheria and Kerys. The point behind this RP is to have the RPers themselves be Knights devoted to the royalty of either of the two Nations. I'm just looking for a few ideas on how to improve it, any suggestions are going to be helpful. Oh, and a quick note on the two Nations. Altheria- A nation which exists mostly through an extensive mountain range on the western coast of a massive continent. The people of Altheria typically are settled in large, fortified cities with extensive military presence in the lands surrounding them. Despite this, the Altherians are typically a peaceful people who primarily work in businesses which involve the extraction of raw materials from the mountains in which they live. They farm primarily in the many sheltered valleys throughout their mountainous homeland. They are a hearty people who specialize in the use of heavily armored wielding two-handed weaponry. Kerys- A nation of people who live mostly in the extensive plains east of the mountainous country of Altheria. They typically live in small, nomadic villages which move with the seasons and the herds of the various game animals they hunt, usually surrounding these villages with a few scouts surrounding to watch for hostile animals or human attackers. Kerysians are a warlike people who have perfected the use of lightly armored soldiers moving quickly about the battlefield, though they do use armor made from thick hides or even animal bones. They typically wield light, one-handed weapons paired with shields or another weapon.
Buttercup
The concept of The Legend of Koizumi except with Yugioh. Good or bad idea? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mudazumo_Naki_Kaikaku

Buttercup
And you could play as Berlusconi. :) COME ON BERLUSCONI PLAYING YUGIOH IT'S A GREAT IDEA
Premier Alexander Romanov
No, it isn't.Have you ever watched C-SPAN? Politics is boring, and adding a children's card game won't help.
Buttercup
I watched it and found it to be terrible. <_< But the OVA for LOK is super sweet. And it's the next logical step up from 5Ds.
Premier Alexander Romanov
How is having Bush playing a children's card game "the next logical step" or fun?!? Mahjong is a serious game that requires skill and strategy, while Duel Monsters is a children's card game.A CHILDREN'S CARD GAME. How many times do I have to say that to get it through your head?!? It barely makes sense for a good portion of the people who play Duel Monsters in the anime to play it, but they at least make it entertaining enough! Politics, by its nature, is anything BUT entertaining! However, mahjong, which DOES require almost the same skills you need to run a country, is a logical choice for politicians to play! You are making a serious mistake if you go through with this incredibly terrible idea!
