...Apologies' date=' but I don't think "Rawr! Zombies!" is a good plot by itself. I mean, no background? No defining characteristic? Not even an interesting setting? Just... zombies?

[/quote']

The lovely part about Zombie fiction is that there doesn't really need to be a plot, considering most Zombie plots have been used and recycling it would just make it worse.

You just need carnage and blood and you have a winning formula.

There's nothing new under the sun, including that phrase.

Blood and carnage is all good and all, but what's the point of having no plot and being, by definition, the same as every other zombie plot?

Plus, it's possible to have an interesting and unique zombie plot. Just stay away from stuff like "World-wide plague", and you've pretty much got a barren genre to sow seeds in.

Well that's the thing, every Zombie Plot is a practical clone. The only thing that can make a Zombie RP interesting is the location.

A medieval zombie RP hasn't been done before. Nor has a steampunk one.

Okay new idea. I got loads of details that go along with it but here's just the basic idea.

Rabbit Doubt

Okay' date=' pretend your a rabbit. In a group of rabbits but some aren't rabbits, they're wolves. Wolves just love to eat us rabbits right? Well you, the rabbit, have to find out which person in your group is the wolf, before its too late. One day you get a text message telling you about this game. It says for you to meet up at the local arcade and to start the game but you don't know the dire consequences that come along with join this game and once your in there's no getting out.

What do ya think?

Any more comments?

I say a zombie plot can be interesting and unique . . . has anyone ever thought of doing a zombie rpg where you're the zombie?

I think not . . .

It's been done. Not that much in this site itself, but the idea is rather old. There's even a flash game based on it.

Setting is a scitzo-tech standard Medieval setting, with sporadic steampunk elements, especially in main cities and in the ocean.

The players are Physical God's, whose power depends on the 'Soul Energy' of the people. While this is normally sated by people 'donating' Soul through prayer, since they've been earthbound, they need to sate this requirement in other ways; IE, by eating the souls of others.

People who lose their souls in this fashion become Zombies, or Familiars of that god, devoted completely to them even as their bodies and minds rot. Though they originally retain their thinking powers, they do not really have emotions or mental functions beyond logical deduction. As they rot, their physical form becomes more and more unstable and they rely more on the Mana Aura of their god to keep them alive, turning them into more and more monstrous creatures with decreasing intelligence. Sometimes nearly-rotted Familiars conglomerate together into horrific Chimeras.

The final stage of any Zombie is Plague, in which every cell has rotted away and become and entirely different existence. They still are under the command of their God, however they instead attack the immune system and internal organs in order to make enemies essentially walking targets to have their Souls Eaten. While the plague does not kill usually, and cannot steal Soul on its own, it can make enemies comatose and essentially ready for reaping.

The main conflict in the RP is between the kingdom of Balheem, who constructed the magical steampunk device EVOKER that can force Divines into a physical form that makes them essentially mortal (and able to be killed) and wishes to rid the world of Gods (out of self-preservation, as Balheem has no patron god, and as such has no magic, while their enemies DID have Gods, and therefor also had magic. With their gods forced into a physical identity, the other kingdoms no longer can use magic).

The Gods, however, wish to return to divinity and to that end, seek to breach the inner Sanctum of the Golden Palace of Balheem and find the EVOKER, hopefully able to return them to their omniscient state. As their followers are now left undefended, some of the Gods also want to help free their people from the Balheem, who conquered after removing their enemy's trump card.

The final faction are the Bounty Hunters, a secret legion of warriors renown for their ridiculous strength and ludicrous standards of living. Bored of fighting 'regular' mythical creatures such as monsters and beasts, they hunt down the Godlings and their Zombie servants in search of a fight of mythic proportions. Bounty Hunters being nearly Physical Gods in their own right through their Celestial Weaponry, they are immune to Soul Eating and serve as the Shock Troops of the Balheem resistance, in the form of those who can afford to pay them. They are essentially the Wild Card faction, whose individual members all have different reasons for fighting and are all equally unpredictable.

There we go. I doubt that plot's been done yet, and I came up with that off the top of my head.

Anyone like?

Andx and myself just opened a One Piece Club and am on the verge of opening a One Piece Rp. My questions are as followed;

1: What would your ideal Plot be?

2: What side would you prefer to be on?

3: If you would be interested in a One Piece RP?

Obviously if you answered any of the questions I would assume you may be interested but it's their for our knowledge to base the RP off of.

this is the plot for a new bleach rp that im thinking of creating and i wanted to get some feedback on it.
It's been almost a year since Kurosaki Ichigo defeated Aizen Sosuke. The shinigami killed the remaining Espada, and things in the Soul Society have been peaceful. One day a Power full Arrancar appeared in the Soul Society. As all the captains felt the vast spirital energy and appeared infront of the arrancar. the unknown arrancar raised her sword one by one the captain's Zanpakutō Spirits appeared next to the arrancar. Before vanishing she left a message "My name is Seiyusosha Saiyagawa and your Zanpakutō Spirits are now mine!". A few months after that day the Zanpakutō Spirits appeared in a Hollowed form and attacked. Without a second thought the Captains rushed into battle, but was defeated within moments. As the captains lay defeated one captain hears something say "I am here for you I will lend you my power" The captain accepted the power and was able to drive the spirits back. Later captain Kurotsuchi discovered that all shinigami are not just born with Zanpakutō Spirits but also Hollow spirits as well. Most shinigami did not trust the spirits at first but in time they did. As the shinigami learns to master their new found power and Seiyusosha Saiyagawa plans unknown which side will you choose?.

I personally don't like it, if a shinigami are born with hollow spirits as well that would make every shinigami a Vizard without them knowing it. If you really want this idea for the plot I would suggest that you somehow incorporate a transformation into Vizards and then they learn to control their hollow spirits allowing them to gain more and more access to their Hollowfied powers in the RP.

To those of you who care, and can help, I've been wanting to do an RP based on a book I read, called The Summoning. It's a good book, and I think it can have great potential for an RP. So, without further ado, I'll show you what I've got (so far anyway)
Welcome To Lyle Home] Everything started out as just your average, everyday, boring day. But then, for seemingly no reason, strange things start happening around you, or to you. You get called out of school, and, first, sent to a hospital. After a day or so at a hospital, you are told that you are going to a place that is made for "people like you." Congratulations! You have just been deemed crazy, for one reason or another, and you have been sent to Lyle's Group Home. When you arrive, your first thought is This is a place for crazy people? For, sure enough, the group home looks like a simple, everyday house, with a white picket fence, a basketball hoop in the back, and a small shed in the yard. But, over the course of a week, you, and others like you, discover a shocking secret about the Lyle Group Home: it's really an experimentation building, and you...are really a supernatural being. Now, you and your group of newfound friends must use your 'powers' to stop the horror from happening to you.

So, fix it, nix it, yadda yadda, I'm sure you know the deal...

I have SEVERAL ideas for new RP's that I want to try out, but I'm not sure which ones will realistically work out on this forum.

Idea 1. An urban fantasy (think Supernatural, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Doctor Strange, etc.) based on a series called The Dresden Files (using the same terms but using 0 canon characters). The plot basically deals with the fallout of the vampires vs wizards war and the ensuing power vacuum created.

Idea 2. An RP where your character either can shapeshift into an animal form (or a hybrid form), or has the ability to manifest a force of nature (ranging from a 100% transformation or two a humanoid version of your force). The setting will probably be modern post-apocalyptic unless someone has a better idea, while the plot is pretty much survival, with the former playing the antagonists, not so much villains as people driven partially insane from exposure to an unknown substance, which will be revealed if the story progresses far enough.

Idea 3. A medieval RP focusing on two empires, one realistically "good" the other unrestrained corruption, where the citizens have been turned into soldiers (men aged 16+), slaves (everyone else) armored in solid evil, and the good empire is forced into a war, led by three mysterious individuals (all three controlled by me).

I have several others, but these are the most developed ones I have so far
