Well, I wrote a better (far better) description for the RP I intend to make.

Here we go...

 

[spoiler - Otherworld]Earth is never peaceful. No matter the time, no matter what is said, there is conflict. A war here, a war there. No-one in this world is perfect. Nothing lasts forever. Even the very earth shifts and changes, changing its mind as the eons roll along. Volcanoes erupt, waves flood the towns, and the very air stirs against humanity. All this is the grand, ever changing design of Nature.

 

Nature itself - in its bids to keep the world in check, to keep it safe – employs the assistance of those with the gift of prophecy. These prophets and oracles foretell the near future of the planet, helping Nature to keep everyone in line. Each prophet/oracle foretells a different part of the future, which can make it easier or more difficult to determine a proper course of action. But they all pull through.

 

But in the year 2007, a new vision came to light.

 

On the same day, all the prophets and oracles saw the same vision. A vision of the planet a millennium in the future, where creatures of darkness had taken control. Humans were kept as servants and pets, or merely as entertainment. In the vision, even the very earth was consumed by the darkness, tainted to follow the dark ambitions of its leader. Volcanoes went off when the darkness wanted light, the waves rose when needless bloodshed was wanted, the air stirring when dramatic effect was required. A planet fully under control, with no hope of salvation. At least, not from the generation of that planet.

 

Instead, salvation for a darkened planet would come from the present, with magic and pure, fiery will to control the darkness and send it to the hellish abyss from whence it came. The magic would only thrive for a short period then flicker out, only to reappear as strong as ever in the dark future.

 

The vision raised fear amongst the prophets and oracles. They speculated its full meaning with Nature, who made the decision to possess a willing oracle to speak easier with its followers. But, despite a long discussion, no solution could be found. There was no way such a power could suddenly vanish and reappear without being struck down by the darkness that loomed before them.

 

Nature made its decision, a daring, dangerous one. It would kidnap all signs of magic it saw, and put the owners into a deep sleep. All the saviors would remain safe and unharmed for that millennium, until such time they were needed by the people of Earth to combat the darkness. No-one, except Nature itself, would know where the saviors were hidden.

 

They waited patiently for the magic to reveal itself.

 

Once there great task was done, the prophets and oracles began to mysteriously disappear. However, later, all were found dead by mysterious means. Not even top doctors could find the cause of death. Even Nature itself could not see the reason, except for faint vestiges of darkness. But the source of darkness was shrouded, hidden from the sight of normal vision and clouding the vision of Nature.

 

The darkness had made itself known.

 

As the years passed, the skies became darker and darker. Clouds seemed to form more often, black rain falling from the skies. Important figures were suddenly struck down, reason for death a mystery never solved. Then, the darkness came in its pure form. A form that struck fear and terror into the hearts of all who laid eyes upon it.

 

The darkness called itself The Otherworld. Its purpose was to be the malevolent opposite of Earth, which was made to be a world of peace and happiness. But with war becoming frequent, it sent chaotic waves across the universe to reach its other half. And they had answered the call. Earth had succumbed to the malevolence it was intended to repel.

 

 

The year is 3025. The Otherworld has controlled Earth for a millennium and a bit, controlling the planet, fighting Nature and its grasp on the planet. But it is only now that Nature can no longer hold out against the darkness. The darkness spreads into the very earth, changing it, making it bow to the Otherworld. In its last act of clarity, Nature raises its saviors.

The RP would ideally focus on story telling rather than the whole "BATTLE POKEYMANS" as I don't think pokémon battles in RP form generally work out too well (there would still be pokemon battles ofc but its not going to be a focal part of the RP). It would rather focus on story and relationships between characters and pokémon etc.

 

As for the actual story I haven't really figured that part out, ideally I would have at least 1 other awesome RPer to plan it with (they would of course be granted a spot on the RP) but as I have been away for the forum for absolutely ages I have no idea whom of my old RP buddies (if any) are still here :L

Basically I am developing the idea of the characters helping out a Hoenn agent to take down the new criminal organisation known as Team Rocket. There will be room for several Arcs developing to it after they have succeeded with the task. After completing tasks characters will be rewarded with Pokemon level ups, possibilities of acquiring certain pokemon and items etc.

 

I have written out a plan for most of the RP, basically giving me a skeleton of a story, making sure I always know where to push the RP and characters so it can move forward as well as leaving room for lots of character development and for mini quests and sub plots to develop.

 

So yeah, I have a plan for it, I have started to develop a base for the available characters (whomever plays them would flesh them out but some things - such as certain character traits, possible starter pokemon, age, gender and names - has been decided already. These are to ensure some traits that we know about the characters from games/anime are respected as well as building a base group dynamic. Such as Agatha and Blaine often squabbling as both of them are very determined and having short tempers, and that Fuji is acting like a bit of a peace-maker between them.

yes there would be hard to get parts (if lots of people are interested) BUT if someone wrote a 5 page short story I would probably be more likely to get turned off from their app. Quality over quantity, I would of course read it but if the app was ridiculously long that would be a negative in my eyes.

 

The reason to why I want it to be with just a couple of RPers is because the more people there are the higher the risk of major side tracking (nothing wrong with SOME side-tracking, I love sub-plots as much as the next guy but theres a limit) as well as slowing down the RP significantly. Like, I've created and been involved in RPs that had so much potential and were so interesting but due to the insane amount of people involved they kinda just died because the story took ages to move forward :L

re-read it, Im tired so I obviously missed your entire point :P Everything isn't set, there are just a few things jotted down for them, it's up to the player to create the character from some guidelines. Looks are entirely up to the player but I wouldn't accept an app that has entirely ignored what the adult (or well, elderly) versions of their character looks like, if someone made Oak have green hair and purple eyes that'd be entirely off from what he actually should look like. Of course they can have other hair colours if they dyed it but then there'd have to be an explanation to why they have an extreme hair colour in the personality and bio section. The bios are entirely up to the players, I want people to be creative with that. Personality has guidelines set down so the core of what we know a character to be like isn't lost. Of course people can change, but personality traits should be quite similar at that age to what the character would be like as an adult.

Plot: The world was once a perfect place. Everything was perfect. The people, the animals, the plants. Everyone lived in harmony, and everyone was immortal, thanks to the power of the Perfection Jewels. However, one day, disaster struck. People began to argue, which was strictly forbidden. And when there is arguing, there is fighting. People began to die. This calamity was the fault of the wicked Demon King, who stole the 7 Jewels and hid them away. Some people have survived, and have chosen to side with either the Demon King, or Celestion, the Angel who guarded the Jewels. The condition of the world gets worse, as more and more die. Which side will you pick? Celestion, or the Demon King, Argus Silvion, also known as the Malevolich?

Good idea. There is magic, and it is used in a variety of ways. Group 1 finds jewels and group 2 steals and hides them. And, no. This isn't dragonball.

Seems like a Fantasy with a Medieval twist put into it. And the question is what type of magic will be used? Will it element-based, or will it be like different form of "Kineses" (i.e. Telekinesis, Psychokinesis, etc.). And I don't mean the elemental forms either, unless you were going for that.

 

And what do the Jewels do individually? Do they have their own individual power in which have the strength to kill certain foes? Or are they like Dragon Balls and have no power individually?

Well, there are 3 classes of magic, Attack, Healing, and support. The jewels have no power individually, but the Demon King bewitched them so that you couldn't enter his castle without the six his servants guard.

Alright so I guess I'll throw my hat in to the ring.

 

So I propose an RP based on the concepts of "The Darkness" (as well as "The Angelus" and "The Witchblade", since they tie in together).

 

Don't know what The Darkness or the other two are? Don't need to. Like I said, it's just the basic concept. So actually not knowing would even be better.

 

Pretty much this is the short version:

On a host's 21st birthday, The Darkness (a being of pure darkness and chaos that's been around since the time of creation) emerges in it's host. We're talking some truly demonic god-like powers. However, keep in mind it's not the host with these powers, it's The Darkness, and it likes to eat away at it's host's soul, until it's only an empty shell left. So pretty much whoever has it, is gonna get messed up in the long run in the worst possible way. But hey, it makes you a god, at least when the lights are out. It also likes to feast on hearts so....yeah, bring a doggy bag.

 

One more thing, it only inhabits a male host.

 

On the opposite end is The Angelus, a being of pure light and order. However, this doesn't mean it's nice, and it has a nasty habit of burning things in holy fire, and by that I mean everything. It also has very little value for life (for example it will slaughter an entire city if it thinks the Darkness host might be in the city). It prefers to dominate the host instead of eating away at it.

 

It also only inhabits a female host.

 

Then there's another called the Witchblade, which comes in to play later. It's the offspring of both, and instead of a host it's born in to, it exists as a gauntlet separately. It also prefers a female host (if a male host uses it, they may get their arm ripped off as compensation, or maybe just straight up killed by being ripped apart).

 

I know what you're thinking too, why don't the hosts just kill themselves eh? Sorry but these beings want it their way, and you can shake hands with a detonating A-Bomb or spend years on the surface of the sun, they'll just rebuild you. But don't worry, you get to feel all that pain. So yeah, being the host is definitely a double-edged sword here.

 

Now as for others in the RP, they will be supplemented in their own ways. There will be ways to obtain Darkness-based powers (or Angelus-based powers) through certain methods, along with Relics and Artifacts of great power as well (Example: A holy dagger made from the three nails that crucified Christ, or a small cannon carved from the gates of Hell that shoots Hellfire), or they can just rely on good ol' fashioned lead (guns make everyone happy after all).

 

Which brings me to the final point. This RP is rated MATURE (and that's putting it mildly). We're talking sin, decadence, betrayals, murder, organized crimes, demons, people being ripped apart, spines being ripped out (sometimes out of certain orifices), and generally F'D UP CRAP. This is not for the weak of heart or for your kids. People will die...A LOT. And things will be dark.

 

Now that's not to say we're gonna do the emo crap of describing someone dying by their intestines being ripped out or something. This ain't a "Cupcakes" fanfic. But things are gonna get REAL, and fast. And you gotta make sure your character can survive it too. No running in to a room full of guys armed with just a pistol and think you're gonna survive. Not to say we're gonna be looking to kill your character off, but yeah you get my point.

 

Now who will get the Darkness (and the Angelus)? It's gonna be at random, so I assure you it ain't gonna be me. That would be stupid.

 

This rp is also for those who can actually commit, not for someone who's just gonna be with it for a week or can only make one post every 5 days or something. Also it needs people who can actually do it right. No making little random posts that are only a sentence long with spelling and grammar errors abound.

 

Also your characters will need to be of age. This isn't a high school drama. You'll be dealing with mobsters, organized crime, along with supreme supernatural entities and insane cults, so you get my point. And we mean real supernatural entities. No vampires or demons trying to be emotional here. The Darkness wants to slaughter and destroy everything, and the Angelus is pretty much wants to do the same if it means it can get at the throat of its opposite. Others want power for themselves, and mob will try and do what it does best, crime in every shape and form.

 

 

I'm also thinking of doing the whole thing in a Chapter format to give it a nice feel. Well there's the short version (yeah that's the short version, it's gonna be pretty epic).
