I don't care if it isn't released yet, I see no rules against this and no previous thread on it.

Wait, which season does this come out? Maybe I overlooked it.

 

But anyway, it certainly does look entertaining. The plot looks fun, and it reminds me quite a bit of Soul Eater. Although, I get the feeling this will be much better. (Not saying Soul Eater was particularly bad.) Animation looks nice, too.

oh and Marisa , i think her name is Huke but just call her Brs >.>

Black Rock Shooter(ブラック★ロックシューター) (or simply abbreviated as BRS) is the result of a collaboration between ryo (music) and HUKE (character and video) for a music video of the same name. She is not Miku Hatsune but a character that looks like her and has a giant rocket launcher attached to her left arm, and her left eye turns into a blue flame. Popularity and interest about her grew to the point of figurines produced in her likeness, many fanarts, and even an anime pilot based on her video. Here is a popular image of her, and a full-body art.

I believe that her origional name is Black★Rock Shooter, but the anime will probably give her a different one. And yes, I'm hooked on it too Marisa, the art's just amazing and my sketchbook could probably be re-arranged to make a story board for the vid in the first post considering how much I've drawn from that xD

Thanks for the info~ I gathered that the character is from the song "Black Rock Shooter" sang by the voice of Miku Hatsune, and from the comments on that vid, there's a lot of controversy over the fact that BRS is really Miku or not.

 

Guess the anime shows that she's not~

I've been obsessing over it. And once I found out that the first episode will air in September, I felt dejected. That's such a long time from now! I can't wait that long x]

Hehe~ Yup. The song was sung by Miku about a character referred to in the song as "Black Rock Shooter" (which is why it's accepted that people call her that). The character's different in a few ways, but based off of the same design. I think the controversy came because people thought Black Rock Shooter was the one singing, aka, Miku.

xD Maybe someday, but I always find my drawings horrid, I can never call them decent in the slightest to myself.

So I see =3

Now I get why the controversy started. BRS looks nothing like Miku, I feel~ Her clothes and hair are way different, I suppose. The first time I've seen BRS is in a render, and I thought she was originally from some anime. But this thread now got me to know who she actually was xD

 

Do you know what the anime is gonna be about? Like the plot? =3

 

And it can't be that horrid if you keep on drawing~ But I feel the same way with my art, so that's okay xD

Well, I've got some things from the plot, but only the generic stuff xD

BRS is a normal schoolgirl, or something. Some of BRS's friends have been taken by some evil chick, or something. She makes some agreement with some guy(s), possibly with some other people making the same agreement, to get the powers seen, or something. And then goes to kick arse x3

Miku's hair is EVEN LONGER XD

 

And I'm amazed at how BRS manages to wear such revealing clothing but still look so dignified IMO o-o It's part of what I love, although I do have a habit of drawing her with a shirt and a bit longer shorts so I don't get odd looks when people who don't know it see my sketchbook xD

That was insanly amazing~ I think I'm starting to love the red eyes more then the blue ♥

That's part of the anime, I suspect? Man, this is so exciting!

 

And the comparison between BRS and Miku:

BRS is prettier. Nuff said~

 

I just love the darkness of her character look, and the gleam of her eyes that stand out.

 

Miku looks to cordinated and normal xD
