Digimon: The Dark Saga [Advanced][Started][Mail Applications]

*This is an RP I started on another site, but was forced to close down when my old computer died. I have a new one now, and hope it has as much interest here as it did there. :3*

Plot

Once more, the Digital World found itself in great distress, though unlike in the past, evil had triumphed over good.

Evil Digimon serving an unknown lord had succeeded in preventing a group of good Digimon, whom were trying to save the Digital world, from releasing Digi-eggs (accompanied with digivices) to the human world, where they were destined to join and over throw the darkness. This did not occur, however, as the Digi-eggs, along with the Digivices, were cast into a lake by Roachmon, an unintelligent, though loyal minion of his Holy Darkness, the only alias of the evil one.

Thus, the Digital World was thrown into a cruel age, where darkness ruled and all the light was more or less defeated and overtaken by shadow. The world itself began to quake under the rule of darkness. Terrible storms became common, landslides and golf ball sized hail a daily occurrence.

The Digital World seemed lost. The hope that had thrived so strongly died away, smothered by darkness.

One day, however, a ray of light formed in the darkness. An earthquake rocked the lake that the Digi-eggs had nestled into, splitting open in the center and draining until it were a mere puddle, leaving the Digi-eggs exposed to the cruel Digiworld.

In time, these eggs hatched one by one, with each Digimon feeling as though something was missing. Someone was supposed to have been there for them that was not. Thus, they each went their own way, most without waiting for the remaining to hatch.

The baby Digimon struggled to survive, and luckily enough fate allowed them to. They grew and digivolved to maintain their lives, all on their own, all with a single possession - A digivice.

Years passed, the Digital World grew darker, and these baby Digimon were now in their Champion forms, and still searching. Still waiting for their empty hearts to be filled with whatever it was they were lacking.

His Holy Darkness had increased in power greatly, and wished to gain control of other world, thus, he chose to move on to the human world. Having no interest in the humans, he simply had the idea that he could craft a new world in the place of earth, a world that would be completely under his control, unlike the Digiworld, which was still subject to freak storms that he could neither prevent nor control.

Thus, he created multiple monolith, infecting them with his dark powers until they served their purpose as gateways between the human and Digital World. Digimon could now travel freely through them, though, the monolith were under heavy guard by his minions, as His Holy Darkness suspected good Digimon might try to take advantage of the power of the monoliths.

It was a correct assumption, as many surviving Digimon struggled with the guardians of the monolith, hoping for a better life in the human world, or hoping to find a partner in the human world.

The Digimon in possession of Digivices felt drawn to these gateways, sensing that whatever they were looking for lay somewhere on the other side. Somewhere in the unknown world of the human-beasts.

Information

The setting is summer, and we are all living in the same city.

For simplicities sake, we will all be using the original Digivice, from Season 1. If you want to make you own more 'personal,' stick some stickers on it, or whatever you see fit, for that matter.

There are no crests; if 'wild' Digimon can Digivolve without them, so can Digimon with partners. The partner more or less serves as motivation and support for the Digimon, they are a tool to help them progress through Digivolution at a quicker rate then would be possible on their own.

As stated above, your Digimon will start off in it's Champion form. I worked my plot around that idea because one of my favorite Digimon, Devidramon, really had no 'true' evolutions, and I haven't fully decided on what I should have Devidramon Digivolve to/from.

As for characters, evil Digimon are always welcome, as well as the Digidestined and their families, of course. There are no 'dark' digidestined. To me, that kinda contradicts the whole idea of the chosen children.

Other

- If I've missed anything, and there are any questions or concerns, mail me.

- I'm open to suggestions, whatever they may be, feel free to tell me.

- Feel free to format your profile a little differently, if you wish to (see my character profile), HOWEVER, all of the fields I asked for must be included somewhere in it.
Accepted Sign Ups]
Malice's Characters]

Trowa Hart

christina_commission.png

Age; 17

Personality: Trowa is a fairly patient person, with kind and motherly tendencies when dealing with younger children, even though she herself had no mother to speak of. She is intelligent, but has little interest in school, which her poor grades reflect. Additionally, she is a very hard person to anger, though she feels very passionately about many things.

History: Trowa has lived a fairly simple life, albeit a lonely one. She does not remember her mother, whom left while she was just a small girl, while at the same time refusing to admit that she would like to meet the woman at some point in her life, if only to ask why. Thus, she was raised by her father, a loving man, but he had to dedicate a great deal of his time to his work in order to pay the bills and provide for his daughter. Although he is generally busy, he always makes time to have supper with Trowa - an aspiring chef, in order to learn of her day.

Trowa has always had an interest, as well as a love for food. Though she has little interest in continuing her schooling, she does hope to someday own her own restaurant, or perhaps even a bakery. From the time she could walk, she insisted on helping her father prepare food, so it has always been quite obvious what she would likely want to do with her life.

Family; Father - Taebien.

Digimon Partner: Devidramon

Digimon Partner Evolution Line: Tokomon - Tsukaimon - Devidramon - Neodevimon - ???

Judas Nathan Lake

Renon-1.png

Age; 25

Personality: Judas, or Jude as he prefers, is a fairly excitable person. He is easily drawn into a story, being a writer of sorts, he is a seeker of truths, that frowns upon those indifferent to it.

History: Jude was born as the youngest of three sons, and also the most intelligent. He was always incredibly involved in the arts, while his brother's were involved in things that had them working with their hands, such as carpentry, making him the outlet for most of their teasing.

In spite of all of this, he pursued a career in journalism, seeking, not for the story of the century, but for the truth behind politics, events, disasters, or whatever else happens to be occurring in the world.

Having gone to university to learn about writing, interviews and the like during his journalism course, he is always questioning everything, to the annoyance of those whom know him.

Currently, he works as a freelance writer/journalist/reporter, and more often then not, he is strapped for cash.

Family; Two older brother's, Lance and Avery.

User: Blazing Hydra

Name; Hope Leiason {God, I've been playing female characters in every single Digimon RP I've ever been part of, so much so that it's almost become tradition. Not sure if that's good or not.}

Age; 17

Appearance; Long black tied into a very massive ponytail behind her back, which is still long enough to fall all the way down to her waist. She has bright, large green eyes that are the first thing someone notices upon seeing her, and a short face that is constantly obscured by her overly long bangs that constantly get in her face. She has overly large canine fangs that occasionally give her a 'snaggletooth' habit, in which her canines are visible when she bites her lip. She is about 5'2" tall, and has a slight figure.

She wears close-fitting, tight-seeming violet clothing, except around the forearms and forelegs, where it inexplicably widens to ridiculous proportions that frequently make her trip and obscure her hands. Her clothing looks fairly expensive and in a vaguely traditional style, though it isn't particularly conservative by modern standers, hugging her body very closely. For more formal occasions, she keeps a light lilac dress made in a similar style, but with sides cut out and shorter smaller cuffs. Her canin

Personality: Hope is incredibly upbeat and even more completely off the wall, almost incapable of taking things seriously for longer than 3 seconds. She is a kleptomaniac and often steals small objects she can find whenever possible. She is not particularly loyal to anyone and has difficulty connecting emotionally to other people, though she is very good at getting other people to like her. She is rather incapable of empathy, though she does get embarrassed and flustered often, due to being particularly klutzy (mainly due to her clothing).

History: A member of a group of traveling Merchants, Hope had parents, though she didn't see them very often. They were usually busy peddling their trade, or otherwise busy with the various difficulties of the gypsy lifestyle, often too busy to teach or take care of her, leaving that to the older members of their group and to Hope herself. Hope spend much of her time in the city unlike the others, and got quite a taste for modern lifestyle. At times, she would even stay in the city for a couple days before returning, often wishing her life was slightly more exciting, like a life in a big city would be. Her older brother, Angel, who also lived in the city, one day offered to take her in and let her live there if she wanted a more 'stable' lifestyle. Jumping at the opportunity, Hope agreed, but did not quite get the hang of wearing "normal" clothes.

Due to his University Major he has developed the skill to know where anything in the air is moving to.

(Alright, a spot if reserved for you, Roxas, as well as the line you desire. :3)

(Here's my intro post. Long, yes, but I wanted to show how Devidramon crossed into the human world, and how he stumbled upon his 'human' as you'll find (in time) he refers to her as such. xD

Anyways, you do not have to post your Digimon making their great escape into the human world, you could simply have them be together and state that they've known each other for a couple of days (No longer then a week, please, I'd like all of the characters to be fairly new to this).)

The heavy beating of a Devidramon's wings were unheard as he touched down just out of sight of those Digimon fighting before him. The rumour he had heard could be confirmed. A group of Digimon were attacking the handful of DarkTyrannomon that were guarding one of the monolith.

He lingered in the darkness, blending perfectly with the shadow in spite of his large size. He contemplated his next move. Would he fight as well? Or simply rush through the gateway when the opportunity arose?

Devidramon opened one of his large hands, gazing down at his Digivice with two sets of crimson eyes. 'I've been waiting so long... This may be my only chance to go through... I have to take the cowards way, this time... But I promise I'll return and repay you all,' he inwardly vowed, spreading his large wings as he jerked forwards, gliding effortlessly towards the monolith, hand clasp around the Digivice protectively.

Unfortunately, his plan was not as flawless as his flight. One of the DarkTyrannomon had caught a glimpse of him as he approached, and released a Fire Blast that struck Devidramon on the wing, knocking him from the air.

Though his wing was singed and stinging like there was no tomorrow for it, he rose hastily, not having the luxury of wasting time, the DarkTyrannomon was rushing at him with the intention of another attack.

"Dead eyes," Devidramon hissed, his eyes glowing bright in the darkness of the night, catching the attention of multiple Digimon. He focused on them, particularly the DarkTyrannomon that attacked him, until he was sure his hypnotism had worked.

At that, Devidramon whipped around to face the monolith, darting through it before anything else could delay him, knowing full well that his Holy Darkness would send back ups for the DarkTyrannomon when he got word of the rebellion, and he would hear of it in no time!

"Forgive me," he murmured, to those good Digimon that he left behind, just before vanishing from the Digiworld...

Days had passed since Devidramon had arrived in the human world, and yet he seemed to be making no progress at all. He still did not know what he was looking for, and it was rather difficult for a beast like him to hide, especially during the day, in the metal jungle that he was currently inhabiting.

He stalked an alleyway, huffing slightly at the sounds of the traffic and the bright lights. Humans and their fancy transportation. As he stepped closer to the street, he noticed the flow of vehicles slacken and sighed a little, glad that his hearing could have some relief of the constant noise.

Without a second thought, he threw himself into the sky, though did not go far, he simply lay down on top of a flat roofed building that was only a few levels high. From his perch, he stared absently down at the humans as they lived their lives, once more using darkness as his cover.

He lay there for some time, until the vehicles passing by were a rarity. Just laying and listening to the sounds of the human world. He could hear loud sirens of some sort far off, see the flashing of red lights but he paid no heed. It did not concern him.

His attention was drawn immediately as a female human came around one of the buildings across the street, passing under the street lights one by one. He rose a little on his elbows, interest peaked. He had seen many humans pass by, but there was something special about this one. He did not know what it was, but there was certainly something.

Devidramon continued to watch her as she crossed the street, peeking over the edge as the very building he rest on now obscured his view. She passed right under him, walking in front of the building he hung over, causing him to nearly fall over the edge as the Digivice in his hand started to glow like the blazing sun, something it had never done since he had obtained it.

Something seemed to posses him as he dove over the edge of the building and landed heavily in front of the female, causing her to nearly jump out of her skin, additionally, she dropped her shoulder pack, though made no sound, which surprised him some as everyone else, male and female alike, that had lay eyes on him had screamed bloody murder.

Silently, he slid a finger under the strap of her pack, lifting it and extending it to her as an offering of peace.

Stunned, the female accepted it slowly, uttering a 'thank you' to the beast, her legs feeling so heavy that they nearly threw her off balance. She did not know whether she should scream, or run, though figured that she was not currently able to do either.

Devidramon then held out his other hand, opening it to her, exposing the device he had been carrying, which appeared rather tiny when he held it in his palm, "Take it," he quietly said, trying to tone down his hiss like voice, though it hardly worked for him.

Carefully she reached out, touching the device, which grew brighter at her touch. She grasped it, allowing Devidramon to drop his hand, holding it against her chest and squinting her eyes against the light, she heard it beep, and suddenly the light gave way, exposing the screen of the Digivice to her, which showed a blinking red dot to pinpoint their position.

"What... Is it... What are you?!" She asked, still holding the device firmly in her hand, she watched the blinking dot with interest, though soon returned her eyes to the demon in front of her. He was big, and he sure looked mean, but some part of her had an unexpected feeling of comfort that confused her. She had been uneasy walking alone in the dark, but now, with this beast directly in front of her, part of her was relieved? She bit her lower lip, wondering what on earth was wrong with her.

"That is your Digivice," Devidramon told her, no longer trying to disguise his odd sounding voice, sensing that some of her tension had faded away, "I am Devidramon... Your... Partner," he managed, barely able to speak as he smirked, further exposing a few of his sharply pointed fangs.

She stared blankly at him, 'And what the devil is a Devidramon?' Slowly, she looked him up and down, trying to find the answer herself, she was jarred from her thoughts as he spoke once more.

"What do they call you, little human?" Devidramon asked, crouching down so that he was eye level to her, he sniffed at her curiously for a moment, trying not to appear too anxious, even though he was dancing on the inside.

"My name is Trowa." She answered, attaching her Digivice to the strap of her pack as she did so.

"Trowa..." Devidramon hissed, allowing her name to roll off of his tongue, he smirked once more, apparently pleased with how it sounded.

"Mmhm," She nodded her head, thinking that this... thing before her was a tad simple minded. She twitched suddenly, remembering the time and smacking herself hastily between the eyes, "Ugh, my father is going to kill me for being so late!" She exclaimed suddenly.

Devidramon's eyes began to glow, apparently taking her words literally, he growled, not liking that what he had been searching for might be stolen away from him as easily as that, "Show me to this father... And I will destroy it."

'What?! No! Not literally kill me. Just be mad. Destroying is bad. Especially when it's family you're destroying," She quickly blurted out, beginning to move around Devidramon, whom turned with her, "Listen... I have to go home now, so I'll... Erm, see you later?" She said, moving past him, thinking that he was going to stay put, which was incorrect, of course.

Trowa frowned as she noted him looming behind her, and turned her head over his shoulder, "You can't come home with me, you wouldn't fit in my house, anyways," she pointed out to him.

There was a few moments of silence from Devidramon, though he finally spoke, shaking his head and closing his eyes as he did so, "I've searched too long to let go now..." He told her, nearly tripping in her as she abruptly stopped.

"You were looking for me?" She asked, her voice sounding a tad weary as her body became aware of the fact that it was the middle of the night.

"All my life," Devidramon nodded, lifting a hand he nudged her forwards, encouraging her to move on, "I will follow you... And I will hide nearby, Trowa... I will protect you."

"Protect me from what?" Trowa asked, furrowing her brows as she did so. Devidramon said no more, and declined her questions as she pestered him, making her frown deepen. As he promised to tell her at a later time, she eased off, feeling increasingly weary after her long day.

Luckily, they were only about a fifteen minute walk from her home, though Devidramon chose to fly after only a few steps, not wanting to attract any unnecessary attention to himself, or her for that matter.

Trowa paused just in front of her front yard, calling out to Devidramon and telling him that she were home. She watched as he circled to sky, until he finally touched down on the street, just alongside her. Trowa eyed him, wondering if he was going to speak, but soon sighed and moved forwards, towards her front door, "Good night, Devidramon," she said, waiting a moment for him to return the gesture, though he did not.

Shrugging a little, she moved inside, glancing back to ensure that was not following her, and thankfully he was standing solemnly in his place.

As it was rather late, her house appeared more or less empty. She could hear a TV blaring from one of the rooms and snorted softly, glad that no one seemed to have noticed she had been gone a little longer than usual.

Stepping carefully over obstacles in the hall way, she slipped into her bedroom, readying herself for bed, she flicked the light off, pausing as she realized how hot the room felt.

Trowa easily shuffled over to the window, which she threw open, nearly screaming aloud when a massive head poked through at her. She felt her heart tighten and swallowed hard, suppressing the urge to vomit.

Devidramon looked at her, his crimson eyes blinking in unison, "Call for me if you need me," he pointed out, pulling his head out once more, he disappeared in a flurry of tattered wings.

Trowa sat on her bed, panting a little, she held her head in her hand, trying to recover from the fright she had just received. Slowly, she glanced to the curtains, blowing gently in the breeze, half expecting to see the beast return, though he did not. With another sigh, she slowly settled down into her bed, still feeling a little thrown off due to the things that had happened. "Well, he doesn't seem to want to hurt me..." She murmured, rolling to face the wall. She had the intention of thinking over what had happened, and furthermore what she should do, but sleep found her quickly and buried her under a pile of very colorful dreams.

A young man was walking through the park, a book held in his hand as he walked around, seemingly totally oblivious to the world around him, and thus all the stares in his direction. Of course, the stares weren't really directed at him, but at what was walking next to him. Happily jogging next to the young man was what appeared to be a small child in wearing oversized purple kendo robes and an equally oversized helmet, dragging a kendo sword behind him. It was an odd sight, but was was really odd was that the child appeared to have a reptilian tail and feet. Still, after staring for a moment or two, most people turned away, dismissing it as a child with a Halloween obsession or something. The young man walking next to the child however knew different, as he remembered what had happened two nights ago.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rai was walking home, a book in his hand as per his norm. As he took a turn down the alley leading to his dorm, he found his path blocked by an abnormally large figure dressed in an equally large trench coat with an oversized fedora finishing off the outfit.
"Listen man I'm in a hurry. If you're gonna mug me," the young man said without taking his face out of his book while taking his wallet out of his pocket, "Here. Just take the money but leave my ID please, I need it to get into my dorm."
Rather than take the easily offered wallet, the tall cloaked man instead reached into his own pocket and held out a glowing red device of some kind. This actually caused the young man to take his face away from his book.
"What's that?" he asked.
"Yours...it's yours." the cloaked man replied.
Reaching out, the young man took the device from the man, not quite noticing his large fingers. As he held it up to his eyes, the device constantly glowed with increasing intensity, until it finally flared up and faded, letting Rai examine the device in full. It was small and red, and appeared square in shape but with the corners rounded inwards and a black control stick on one corner. On the center of the device was a small electric screen surrounded by a trio of buttons.
"Okay...if this is mine, I've never seen it before...and who the heck are you anyway?"
The man reached his oversized hands up and took off his hat, revealing a flat, lizard-like face with an indian sort of headdress.
"My name is DinoHyumon. Your partner."
~1 Hour Later, Rai's dorm room~
"Okay, so lemme get this straight. You're a digital monster lifeform, aka a Digimon."
DinoHyumon nodded.
"You come from a place called the Digital World, where beings of all sorts who are also Digimon live."
Another nod.
"But it's been enslaved by something called called the 'Holy Darkness' since long before you were even born."
He nodded again.
"On the day you were born your only possession was this thing, this Digivice," Rai said while holding up the device, "Which led you to me."
The digimon nodded once more.
"You endangered your life in an attempt to get through this 'monolith' to get to this world so your could find me, which was the only thing you could think to do."
Again a nod.
"And when you arrived in the human world, you stole that trench coat cover-up clothing set and proceeded to search around for me."
"Umm, yes that about sums it up...although, I have one question."
Rai was surprisingly open minded and had accepted DinoHyumon's explanations with hardly a complaint, just a few questions. Though he tried to hide it, this was the most exitement he'd had in years.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"Umm...what does steal mean? I thought anyone could take that stuff on display."
Rai almost facepalmed at the naivete of his 'partner', though he supposed it was better than if he was a kleptomaniac or something.
"Stealing is when you take something that doesn't belong to you without asking." Rai explained.
"Oh, okay...I guess I can understand that. I would have been very upset if someone had taken your digivice from me before I could give it to you."
"Well at least you understand...anyway, I don't suppose there's a way for you to be more inconspicuous is there? I mean, the trench coat was a good idea, but not exactly the best..."
"Well, I could dedigivolve."
"Dedigivolve?"
"Yes, by downloading a fraction of my data into the digivice, I can assume a lower level form. My 'Rookie' state should be much more inconspicuous."
"Okay, so how do I do that?"
"Just press the button there on the digivice." DinoHyumon said, pointing to the single button on the left of the device. Pressing it, Rai saw the screen change to a list of names with a letter next to them. Reaching up to the control stick, he browsed until he came across the name 'R - Kotemon'. Selecting it, Rai pressed the button and then pointed the screen at DinoHyumon as it started to glow. A moment later, DinoHyumon was Kotemon, the small, child-sized kendo Digimon.
"Okay, that'll work...now, I should teach you about how the human world works, so listen up."
"Okay!" Kotemon said enthusiastically, much more so than DinoHyumon had sounded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And now I've got this little thing following me around...

"Hey Rai!"

Rai looked down at Kotemon.

"What is it?"

"Can we go get something to eat?"

"*Sigh*, sure...how's McDonalds sound?"

"I want McNuggets!"

Rai smiled as Kotemon ran ahead and then back, excited at the idea of food. At least it wasn't all bad, having Kotemon around had been rather fun.

Ken awoke from a long rest. It was a regular school day, but he didn't feel like going. His mom came in the room. "Hey honey bear, are you going to school today."

"Nah, i think my tummies upset." He could use a baby tone of voice to deceive his mom anyday.

"Okay sweetie. I'll get you some crackers and a Diet Coke and see if we can settle that down." He laid back down on his bed.

"This rocks." He started drifting to sleep when his phone started to freak out. On the screen it was scrambling a picture of Avril Lavigne in the picture of a blurry compass. "What the?!?" He saw the direction it pointed. He followed it. He looked out the window and past a tree. Beside the tree was a bomb. "Oh my god!" He jumped out the window and grabbed the bomb. It had three eyes. "WAHHH!" He jumped back and the bomb was thrown in the air. It blinked twice.

"Hello" It said with a third blink.

"Who the heck are you."

"My name's Bombmon." Ken started freaking out. His phone altered its shape into a cross like device. "That must mean you're my tamer!" It exclaimed.

"You're what!"

"Basically I'm like your new pet. A digimon to be exact." Ken had heard of digimon before. Even when the government tried to cover all the interactions, he could see through the smoke.

"Finally. This is gonna be awesome." He grabbed Bombmon and jumped back into his room. His mom came back in.

"Here you go. Saltinez and a Diet."

Stingmon sat cross-legged in a tree close to the Monolith.

Just a bit longer till they change the gaurds, he thought.

Just as he anticipated, another group of DarkTyrannomon approach the ones already stationed there. He nodded happily. Two days before, Devidramon had flown straight into the portal, using the distraction he was causing, trying to fight his way in. Now he was going to do the same thing. He extended his wings as the new group stopped to talk.

An instant later, he shot out of the trees. He charged passed the DarkTyrannomon with his speed and right into the portal. Too easy. To think he tried fighting his way through. He was sorrunded by lights, in a strange glowing tube. He spotted natural light at the other end and flew towards it. The portal openned out into a strange hallway, formed by two tall buildings.

"Made it," he said happily, and istant before crashing into something or someone. He tumbled, dropping his digivice and flipping into the wall.

"Owww," he groaned, rubbing his head. He looked up tp see what he hit, and saw an uninpessive looking human sitting on the ground, staring in fear. "Ah, are you ok?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dan couldn't beleive his eyes. A real life alien had popped out of a trans-dimensonal vortex of sorts! Amazing! even more spectacular was the fact that it spoke english!
"Hi! I'm Dan! What planet are you from Mr Alien?"
"Alien? I'm a Digimon!"
"Digimon? As in the theoretical lifeforms that populate the digital realm? Even better! You're an artificailly made life form!" Dan got up and brushed of his pants. He stared appraisingly at Stingmon. "Insectoid form. Interesting."
"Ah, Dan was it? Shouldn't you be scared or something? A giant bugman appeared from a glowing hole in the air." He pointed at the slowly closing portal. "From what I know of the human world, that doesn't happen often."
"And?" Dan cocked and eyebrow. "That aside, let me introduce you to my mom!" He turned and steped on the digivice. The screen glowed bright green. "What the ...?"
"The digivice!" Stingmon gasped. "It responded! You most be my master!" He knelt before Dan. "I am Stingmon. I am your digimon."
"What? Cool!" He thought for a while. "Stingmon's a bit long and hard to say. I'll call you Lan."
"Lan?" Lan asked. "That has nothing to do with stingmon!"
"So? Come on, lets meet mom!"
Lan followed, a bit confused. He had a very... unique master.
Two men ran from the mountain like their lives depended on it.
This was a common sight in recent days.
Officer Stephen Grant had never seen anything like it in the many years he'd been on the force. Sure, there had been times where lunatics had claimed aliens had kidnapped their mother, or demons ate their friend, or something equally odd with a perfectly rational explanation... but this just defied all logic.
"BYAAAK! Bring the Girl!" it cried, thunder punctuating its words. The Officer flinched; he had seen first hand what it could do. They had been at a standstill for the past three days.
He had tried to get the military involved, but, oddly, nobody was bothering to help him. They were all too busy with similar monsters all across the country; sightings of powerful beasts, weird, strange beasts that scatter around the world almost at random. Three weeks ago, what appeared to be a massive Black Tyrannosaurus had appeared in lower Manhattan, and disappeared the same day!
There was only two differences with this case. Firstly, this one wasn't going away. And secondly... it could talk.
He flinched again as a massive lightning bolt lanced down and skewered one of their cars. He breathed a silent prayer and sighed in relief when nothing was wrong. He glanced back at it with growing wariness. Did it seem more... worried, now?
He had never heard of a monster asking for a sacrifice. What they had was, quite literally, a Thunderbird; a massive bird of prey that circled the nearby mountain. Said mountain was a popular retreat for campers, hikers, and the resident gypsy population had stopped there also. While they had mostly been evacuated, the bird was weird; often it would grab victims, make like it was going to drop them, and hang them up on a higher part of the mountain. Often, it threatened people with crackling electricity if they tried to leave. It was an effective threat.
They had asked why he needed a girl, to no avail. They had tried shooting at it, only to be responded to with a barrage of lightning bolts. While there hadn't been any fatalities yet, three civilians and seven cops had already been sent to the hospital for burn treatment. They had even tried bringing a young girl, and seeing how it reacted; they didn't intend to give her over, and brought in high-class capture devices and weaponry to be sure of that, but the Roc barely gave it a passing glance before screeching once more for "the girl". The other officers were starting to think it wasn't sapient; it simply learned how to parrot words like that.
Stephen Grant wasn't too sure about that, as he rubbed his chin.
((Yes, my intro is coming in multiple parts. ))
OoC: Changed my Digimon Partner to Saberdramon (Puwamon - Pinamon - Biyomon - Saberdramon - Karatenmon - Kuzuhamon)
The night was dark as a black bird flew through the forest of a world unknown to man.
"Get the damn bird!" A voice could be heard as the bird darted towards a portal-like thing guarded by DarkTyrannomons.
"Saberdramon!" One of the DarkTyrannomons roared. "What brings you here?"
"I have been sent here to enter the human world, orders of the lord!" Saberdramon quickly answered.
"Then go!" The DarkTyrannomon moved and let Saberdramon through.
As the bird flew into the portal, behind her a big, undead creature appeared.
"Did you just bring Saberdramon through the Monolith!?" It roared.
"Lord SkullBarukimon! She was sent to the human world by the great Lord..." The DarkTyrannomon kneeled at the sight of the Ultimate Digimon.
"NO!" SkullBarukimon yelled. "She's a traitor!" He opened his mouth and let out a strong wave of dark energy, which instantely killed the DTyrannomon. The two other DTrannomons watched in fear. "You two, make sure no other unwanted events happens!"
SkullBarukimon spread his wings and flew away, eaving the two DarkTyrannomons with their dead comrade.
Meanwhile, in the city...
"How am I supposed to find him?" Saberdramon was flying in the night sky, looking down at the city lit up by streetlights. "Guess this will be a long search..."
OoC: This event happened some days ago, just wanted to start off a little smooth.
OoC: Nice post, my turn.
"Ugh..." an injured blue wolf moaned as he appeared out of the Monolith. The wolf had fought his way to the Monolith through several champion level digimon. The wolf began to run, limping as he did so. After about 10 minutes or so he was at the top of a large hill looking down upon a city.
"I since there is somebody here here who can help me..." Garurumon sighed with relief as he started to pounce his way down the hill towards the city.
...
"Thank you so very much, Mr. Kanabara I really am a Big fan of your work" A young black haired boy replied to the man in front of him. Kusaka was at the book release of "Parallel Paradox" a book he had been waiting for, for a while. He had just gotten the book signed as he began to walk out of the book store.
"Hmm... Maybe I should stop by dad's work place and go show him my new book..." Kusaka thought to himself.
"What's the point it's not like he cares..." Kusaka spoke, not realizing he was speaking out loud. Kusaka started to speed north-east. Haaris ran towards many people we knew, many of them even tried to greet him but we just kept running north-east. After almost an hour of running Kusaka found himself in front of a river. Kusaka had come to his old clubhouse. He used to come here when he was little and he wanted to think, he even built himself a tree house.
"..." Kusaka turned as he heard rumbling in the bushes. Nothing came, Kusaka started to clime his robe latter into his tree house. Half way up the latter he heard the noise again. The blue wolf limped out, after a moment or so it collapsed.
Kokabuterimon sat on the edge of a roof. He had been in the 'Real' world for a number of days now and yet he still had no idea where his partner was. Is this worth it? he asked himself. He had gone through hell to get through that monolith adn so far he had nothing to show for it. His mind wandered to his past.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Frimon had hatched only a few days before and yet he had been fighting an unbelieavable amount since then. He had grown stronger in these days and he could feel his next digivolution coming soon. He felt a gust of wind and let it take him up higher. He landed in a tree and decided he was safe enough to go to sleep. His sleep was fitful as if his body didn't feel as calm as his mind did. His body was right, the tree he was sleeping in shook and he was sent flying into the sky. As Frimon looked down to the ground he saw that a Tyrannomon was directly beneath him. As it looked up he could see that it was preparing its attack.
_______________________________________________________________________________
He was flying through the sky looking at what was once a beautiful place. But what stood in its place was now a desolate wasteland caused by a single digimon. His enemy Tyrannomon had destroyed his home in trying to find him. Kokabuterimon sighed, what had happened to this world in his short life time and before it. Staring at the ground he saw a giant fireball coming towards him.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Kokabuterimon looked longingly at the monolith that was being protected by a series of Black Tyrannomon. That is where he needed to be, the real world was on the other side and so was his partner. He focused himself and digivolved into Kuwagamon. Breaking through the trees and smashing straight into the guards he flew into the monolith. It didn't hurt as he thought it would. The next time he opened his eyes he was in the real world.
_______________________________________________________________________________
And so Kokabuterimon had been searching for his human pertner ever since. He soon realised that a gigantic red beetle flying over the city was not a thing the humans often saw so dedigivolved and began searching the city as a small digimon. The thought crossed his mind again Is this worth it?. He flew off of the building, but was hit by a bird. Falling to the ground the digivice betgan to glow. "Oh. Maybe it is worth it." He hit the ground.
Ikki was walking through to his favorite game shop when he heard a crash down the next street on. He ran round the corner to see someone falling about in the bins. "Umm. Hello are you okay?" The was no answer just a strange buzzing sound. Ikki crept closer, "Hello?" He was just about to pull a bin bag out of the way when they exploded outwards. "BEETLE LARIET!". Ikki fell to floor covered in rubbish. In front of him where there had once been bin bags and metal dustbins was now a beetle, a very large beetle.
"Oh hello." The beetle said cheerily, "My name is KoKabuterimon, did I do this to you I am terribly sorry." As he walked over to help Ikki, who was currently lost for words, the digivice grew extremley bright. "Oh you must be him."
"I must be who?" ikki asked carefully.
"My partner, you see I am a digimon. And you are my human partner, you will help me digivolve and defeat the Holy Darkness!" The boy just sat their dumbfounded.
Thunderbirmon grumbled to himself as he flanked his egg clutch.
Or at least, that's what he called it; his egg clutch. After all, wasn't that what it was? Something he hoped to get something out of, protecting it from predators... stopping it from rolling out of the next, he added, as he shot a warning bolt at a small human attemping to flee. Before, he had simply fried those that had tried to leave, but ever since they tried responding to that with the annoying metallic pellets, he had taken to just scaring them off after making sure none were the one he was looking for.
He raised his lower leg to examine the small device tied to it. His eyes softened a little. He didn't know how he would know the person he was looking for back when he had escaped out the Monolith, but now he knew. He knew almost too much. It was like the device beamed that image into his head... the form of an adolescent girl, wearing bright purple clothing fit for a Wizardmon. He knew her silky dark hair, her bright green eyes, even somehow her habit of nibbling the corner of her mouth when she was thoughtful... he didn't know how he knew all of it, but he did.
At one time, one of the annoying metallic pellets almost hit the small object tied to his form. He had thrown a fit at their attempts at that; while otherwise he was rather apathetic to the humans and their silly games, refusing to give him the one he wanted, he simply couldn't stand to let them threaten the one thing he had guarded all of his life.
He continued soaring, his heart aching, knowing his second half was somewhere... somewhere around here. He just needed to bring her to him.
(When everyone has gotten caught up to the present (Take your time, if you wish. :)) we will start off during the night time, so that we may move more freely and such. ^^)
Trowa yawned as she made her way out of her house, dismissing her father's interrogation with a wave of her hand and a sweet smile. As of late, she had taken to slipping outside after dark, and not returning for hours, something that displeased her father, considering the current news reports of strange beasts roaming the night.
Additionally, she was limiting her movement during the day, as she had learned the hard way that her Digimon partner, known as Devidramon, was going to follow her, regardless of what she asked him to do. He seemed to believe that someone was out to get her, but whom, he could not say.
She did not let these thought bother her, however, as she could not have felt more safe under his watch. Trowa was never entirely sure where the Digimon hid himself, but as soon as she was on the move, she knew he was aware of it. He always appeared before her as she darted behind the rows of housing, to a more industrial setting, likely where he took refuge during the light hours.
Upon entering an abandoned parking lot, a large shadow fell over her, and familiar glowing red eyes showed themselves, two pairs, to be exact. Devidramon lowered himself to the ground, setting his chin on the asphalt and allowing the girl to climb onto his shoulders, as she had now become accustomed to perching there.
"Hi Devidramon," She happily greeted, though she got nothing in response, as usual. She clambered onto his shoulders, gripping his massive head as he rose and took flight, quite enjoying the fresh night air on face. It was rather refreshing. The city could get stuffy, at times.
As per his norm, Rai had his nose in a book, and was attempting to read it. Though for once he was finding it difficult, as the pages were flapping in the wind, moving about in every which way, making it nearly impossible to read except for the few seconds where they didn't flap about. Finally growing tired of attempting to read his book, Rai closed the book and placed it back inside of his shoulder bag with a sigh.
"What's wrong?" asked his Digimon partner, who was once more in his Champion Form of DinoHyumon.
"Why do you think something's wrong?"
"Because I don't think I've ever seen you not reading a book when someone wasn't talking to you. Heck, even then."
"Well, it's because I can't really read like this, especially with the wind..."
What Rai was referring to was how he was currently sitting on DinoHyumon's shoulder as he jumped from building to building, the ups and downs being what caused his book to be flapping about while the short amounts of hang time being what kept it stable. Now out of his book, Rai could appreciate the feeling of the crisp night air around him, breathing it in deeply.
"Still, this is nice I suppose. Where are we going?"
"I don't know...I just feel...something."
"Alright, if you say so..." Rai said with a sigh.
Ikki had taken KoKabuterimon to his home, and the insect was buzzing about the whole house. Luckily no one else was home. "Wow this place is amazing!" He told Ikki. "I used to live in a forest which got turned to charcoal." He kept buzzing about.
"Hey look. You need to get into my room before my family get home." He had ben repeating this statement to the bug for at least half an hour, but KoKabuterimon wasn't listening. Ikki chased the digimon around the house, until they both heard a click at the door. his family were home. "Quick, quick into here!" He whispered finally grabbing the insect and shoving it into his bedroom. "Hey guys I thought you weren't coming home yet."
OoC: The following post takes place during the night that we would start the RP.
"Come on!" A boy shouted to two other boys. "I promise, I saw a gigantic bird landing here earlier!"
The other two arrived. One of them had ruffy, yellow hair while the other one had long, black. The one who had shouted had brown hair.
"You think it's still here then?" The blonde one asked.
"I dunno, Niko, but if we're lucky..." It was pretty dark due to the time, but they could still see the trees surrounding them in the park. They walked deeper into the small woods, and finally they heard a screech. "We found it!"
The brown haired guy ran straight through some bushes, and the two other followed. On the other side was a small glade, and in the middle was a big, silver bird lying on the ground.
"I think we should get away from here..." The black haired guy said.
The bird roared, and the brown-haired guy and the black-haired one backed off.
"I think so too! Run!" They ran away, everyone except Niko, who still looked at the bird.
"Hey guys! Mayeb it's friendly!" He shouted to them.
"Friendly?" The bird raised to a standing position.
"You can talk?" Niko asked and walked closer.
"Yes... I think I found the one..." The bird said.
"The one? Do you reffer to me?" Niko asked and looked puzzled.
"Yes. I am Saberdramon, a Digital Monster, or Digimon, for short." Saberdramon said. "And I came here to find a partner, and I think you're the one..." She looked down at the ground were a small device was glowing. "This is a DigiVice, and you should have it."
"This one?" Niko said, walked closer and picked the DigiVice up. "Why is it glowing?"
"Because you're chosen... Argh!" Saberdramon coughed and fell to the ground again.
"What's wrong!?" Niko placed his hand on Saberdramon's forehead. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, just hungry..." Saberdramon started to glow and shrink, finally turning into a pink bird who was of the size of a big teddybear-
"Hey, what just happend?"
"It's called DeDigivolution, it's when I turn back to my Rookie-form after using to much energy... My name is Biyomon now..." Biyomon was sitting down. "Could you get me something to eat?"
"Oh... Of course!" Niko ran away for something to eat. "Stay there while I go for some potato-chips!"
OoC: I hope it's okay that Saberdramon de-digivolved.
Ken had not noticed but when he was about to go to sleep, something was clanking on his floor. He had forgotten all about Bommon. "Hey Bommo..."
"Hey Ken." Bommon looked...totally different. He looked like a robotic Raptor.
"Uh...why are you big...and different looking."
"Huh...I don't know. I'm Sealsdramon now."
"BUT HOW!"
"I don't know. I guess i digivolved without knowing it."
"Digivolved?"
