Shadow followed the mysterious mans' lead, just like everyone did. They were probably going to Quickus Academy, but Shadow wasn't 100% sure about it. He could see the suspicious looks drawn on everyone's faces, eagerness of already entering the academy.

They seemed to be going up a hill, since each step needed the appropriate inclination forward to avoid falling face-up. The calm white boat now looked distant, a mystifying forest on one side replacing it.

((Kinda thought his power would be relatively well known... 300-0 record and everything considered. Unless he never used his power, or it was extremely subtle, anyway.))

"...Odd." Merin muttered under her breath as Kristan ran off at the signal to disembark. She stood up and began walking to the plank, wanting to hurry and get to the actual school.

Maybe I was over-analyzing Kristan. Merin knew she was paranoid; living with her mother molded her to be this way. In the end, she was glad for this. Ah well, better safe than sorry.

"Ladies first." Tiberius said, obviously as a courtesy. As Merin walked down the gangplank, someone knocked into her, pushing her to the side. This happens sometimes, so she was ready to ignore it, until she saw who it was.

Damn it Joseph, you did that on purpose, didn't you? Merin clenched her fist before opening it again. All I have to do is grab the back of his head... Merin shook her head to rid herself of those thoughts. It would not do her any good if she was expelled for getting into a fight when they are being escorted to the school. Besides, she doesn't know the full potential of her power yet, and life draining human-sized targets is hit-and-miss. With my luck, I'd kill him far too quickly.

Once on land, Merin stood a good distance away from Joseph, not wanting to cause a confrontation. She watched the hooded figure and waited for further instruction, her face showing a hint of excitement. She was finally at Elemental's Circle.

As every one walked towards the school, she headed towards the front, walking behind the leaders. It was quite the walk, and she enjoyed the excercise, though was a bit nervous at the fact that Joseph was probably behind her somewhere.

Hidden in the forest, Kris could see almost everyone. He saw lots of 15/16 year olds fighting to be at the front, How childish. he thought looking to the back. There he saw people just staring away at the forest. A few times he had thought he'd been spotted. He waited untill the last person went past and walked out to the back, making sure not to be noticed. He'd try to blend in for the time being, And try not to get angry, We don't want him running loose. Kris reminded himself for the thousandth time. He just looked ahead, seeing if he could make out the academy from here but couldn't yet see it.

Joseph decided to use this little walk for a little blind training,He had his eyes closed as he walked up and noticed many things, it almost seemed as if someone was staring at everyone else from the woods, obviously that person may have been up to something, though what it was he didn't care. but the most prominent sense he felt was that of his new favorite student, Meirin. She seemed to be angry, and for some sadistic reason, that made him smile.

Kris saw the guy in front of him close his eyes and start to think. Kris didn't know what he was thinking about but a few minutes later he had a sadistic smile on his face as if something terrible had happened but he wanted it to happen. Kris ignored it as it made him shudder, he was that cold but not enough to be sadistic but this guy was something near to evil and kris knew it. Kris wanted to just get there and pummel him to a pancake but held back, he'd do it later when he got to the academy.

Jarred grunted.

There was still too much tension in the air, he felt it.

Just wait...When people start making 'new friends' it'll be like a huge weight being lifted from this place...

He looked around, examining his surroundings...

A guy behind him had closed his eyes

....Wonder what he's doing......But then again, no I don't

Jarred shrugged. He heard noises coming from the forest nearby; There was obviously someone there...

Maybe a troublemaker...like me...

He let go of the feeling. He really didn't care what anyone was up to right now...Because right now he had to figure out what he himself would be up to...

The atmosphere was making everyone uneasy, it was like a line of tension was ready to break into a violent onslaught anytime. Shadow was in the middle part of the walking group, aside from everyone else, pretty fine for him. Being alone was something Shadow didn't care about, and rather enjoyed the peacefulness of the area without anyone near.

But this wasn't the case, of course...

Tiberius watched as people shoved ahead to be first in line. 'If it is a trap then these guys are going to fall for it.' Tiberius thinks. Tiberius lags back with Merin. Takes in the scenery, which was much better than The Inner City Orphanage. Tiberius sighs as if for the first time he was clean and had a fresh start. But then, as soon as they got onto the academy, Tiberius noticed something weird. The green hooded man looked to the left and to the right, stopped, and kept on going. The Tiberius noticed Shadows in the woods that surrounded the school. 'He lead us into a ambush.' Tiberius looks at Merin, who doesn't know yet. Tiberius leans over to her ear and whispers, "Don't stop walking. There men in the woods watching us. Keep acting natural."

Shadow felt something weird, the same sensation one gets when he's being looked. He suddenly felt everyone stop, which was the mysterious man's doing. He appeared to stop and look left and right, then resume the monotone walk to Quickus Academy.

After a quick glance of the zone, Shadow realized they weren't exactly alone. Shadows swiftly moved from left to right deep in the woods, not close enough to see who exactly they were, nor far enough to stay completely invisible.

"We're being watched." Shadow whispers to Tiberius, suddenly behind him.

Ironically, he was the first he saw to tell what he found out. Shadow immediately recognized him from the boat...

Why did my paranoia have to end up justified? Merin thought, continuing to walk forward. All I wanted was to get to the school, and get some rest!

Merin slipped her hands into her jacket pockets, where she kept a pair of handguards she made. They only protected the back of her hands, as she wanted to be able to touch her opponent with her palms if need be. The inside was cushioned, and the outside was made of metal, and they fit snugly into her hands. It was designed to slip on easily for situations like this. The metal wasn't sharp at all, it was there mainly to protect her hands from impact.

Shadow appeared behind Tiberius and whispered to him. Merin wasn't sure of what it was, but she had a feeling something was going to happen, soon. For now, she left her hands in the pockets; randomly appearing handguards would obviously raise suspicion. So, it's a test, huh. Alright, I'll show then what I can do.

Joseph stayed with his eyes closed and eventually took a short detour to the side as he simply sat down, waiting for something."Let them come....That boat ride was a real crick in my neck."he said to no one, he looked around, some people were worried, for what? he didn't know, if this was a test, it's not as if they were in danger, but if they did fight to kill, then this would be fun.

Tiberius looks around again. " I noticed too," Tiberius whispers to both Merin and Shadow. "Keep acting natural. If they charge us we will have a little surprise waiting for them." Tiberius finishes that statement with a small grin. He knew this was going to happen. It was probably just a test, But this was a test he was sure to pass.

The hooded man was acting strange, Ryu could tell. When he looked to the left, right, stopped and continued, the teen's mind instantly scrolled through the possibilities; the most likely one was an... AMBUSH! the guy was leading them into an ambush, he could hear rustling in the trees beside them. He couldn't signal to the people behind him, that would tip them off. Deciding to play it safe, he walked just a little bit slower, and folded his hands behind his back, connecting just under his shirt. 'Whatever they throw at us, I'll be ready.' the thought confidently, eyes watching any movement to tip him of an attack.

"Sorry, but I can't wait for them to attack. Be ready." Merin whispered back. She listened to Tiberius' suggestion, but she just wanted to get this over with. Merin then sped up a little to get a bit closer to the hooded figure.

"Hey!" She called out. "How much further is the school, anyway?" She usually isn't one to speak up, so she was somewhat surprised at the words that came out.

"Amazing." Shadow sarcastically replied, still whispering. "And I suppose this is a test of some sort?"

A sudden thought crossed his mind like a silver blade slashing fiercely, everything was left behind on the boat for the baggagemen to bring them to their supposed rooms, including his aerodynamic battle armor and his trusted Dual Saber.

"Crap." Shadow cursed in a low voice, knowing he would only have his expertise in hand-to-hand combat take over the upcoming ambush.

Suddenly, the Mysterious figures ran out of the forest and circled around the students. The green hooded man walked outside the circle and snapped his fingers. Then, as a group charged the students. Tiberius was one of the first ones they got to. Tiberius, using his kung fu knowledge, swept the first attacking man of his feet and knocked him out. Then, grabs the second one, punches him in the temple. "Remember guys," Tiberius yell to the rest of the students. "Do not go for the kill."

As long as they don't try to kill me! Merin didn't say this out loud, but she found the idea of non-lethal combat in a deadly situation to be absurd. It was probably a test, sure, but if it wasn't, she was ready to go all out.

Merin saw one opponent approach from the corner of her eye. She waited a bit as he approached her, then blocked his lunging fist with her hand, pushing him off to the side and down to the ground. Another decided to attack from the front. This one seemed more skilled; as she was having her attacks blocked. She was blocking his attacks as well, so she messed up his rhythm by dodging to the side. He saw her first intention, and tried to kick her as she dodged, but Merin was ready for that, as she grabbed his foot, shoved it off to the side, and elbowed him in his now exposed back.

Well, I guess this is practice, too...

Tiberius keeps knocking people out when he sees the green hooded man walk out towards Merin. Tiberius runs and just before the blow strikes Merin, Tiberius blocks it with his right hand. "Hasn't Your momma ever tell you not to attack from behind?" Tiberius says. The green figure looks at Tiberius calmly and steps back. Signaling the rest of the cloaked men, The men stopped fighting. The green cloaked man bows before Tiberius, then gets back up waiting for response. 'Ahh the ancient Challenge ritual.' Tiberius thinks in his mind. Tiberius then bows in response to accept the challenge. Tiberius takes his fighting stance as does the Green cloaked man.

Too be completely honest Joseph was still on the ground when the attacks began, but as soon as one approached him he reacted with a floor spin kick, causing his opponent to fall in front of him, he rolled forward slamming his elbow in his stomach as he got up, looking at the others that came towards him, he allowed the first person to hit him in the jaw only for him to grab his fist and slam him into the ground as he used his legs to hit his comrades, it was humiliating for his opponent, but that's what he aimed for.
