The Seven Demon Lords are on the rise once again. In order of power, Lucemon, Dæmon, Belphemon, Leviamon, Lilithmon, Barbamon, and Beezlemon, the great warlords of the Digital World, have risen, mobilizing vast armies of shadowy Digimon to wage war against the plane. Lucemon, their undisputed leader, plans to supplant Yggdrasil as the ruler of the Digital World. To that end, he has mobilized the DigiDestined, a team of seven brilliant children from the world of Earth, to tame powerful new Digimon created for the sole purpose of defeating the Demon Lords.

 

Tactically, the children are a perfect team. However, Yggdrasil, while directing the defenses of the Digital World, failed to account for their personalities. While most of the DigiDestined are well-adjusted enough, one is dangerously misanthropic, ambitious, and hateful of authority.

 

It is this wild-card — so distrustful he refuses to go by anything other than the pseudonym "Ytidens" — that sets this RP apart from any other Digimon RP. No spinoff of Pokelen's legendary RP "Seven Demon Lords" has ever lived up to the original, but none of those spinoffs bothered excluding the main characters. This thought experiment might give us a good Ytidens, or a bad one. Let's see how well YCM roleplays.

“Filter for Personality type: ENTP.” More pictures vanished.

“Restrict to males age 14.” A smaller list appeared. Yggdrasil searched through the list, examining each one. He finally settled on one.

 

“Friendly and helpful. Data indicates he can be sarcastic, but he has been proven to be loyal both to friends and to ideals. He is also tactical, intense and cruel in battle, known to strike at weaknesses. In addition to that, he is athletic and trained in martial arts. He is a perfect match for Kitmon. Confirmation of acceptance for Dan Seto commencing.”

The room was dark.

A torch flashed around, illuminating a slightly damp cavern wall, covered in splotches of deep red from the copper deposits within its banks. A man blinked as he walked close to the deposites, running a worn hand down their sides. "And you say... it was here?" he asked in confusion.

His partner, invisible due to lack of light, nodded and cleared his throat. "It was indeed. Clear as day. An image written in that copper. You have the photograph, you know it was real."

The man nodded, running his hand down it. "And... who was it, you said, found the inscription?"

The other man paused. "Some girl, I believe. Rara Isshin, from that nearby schoolhouse. Age 16."

The man nodded, and blinked when he noticed something from the corner of his eye. He blinked as he examined the new discovery with his eyes, running his hand over the ancient stone. "...hey... out of curiosity, what did that girl look like?" he asked, with a pause.

The other man paused briefly. "Short. Small, too, barely even noticed her. Five feet at the very least, very slight body type. Wears a lot of dark blue and black clothing, blends in well with the shadows except for her bright red hair."

The other man paused.

"Any particularly defining features?"

"...Well, she wore this little collar thing around her neck, with the buckle outward."

"Did, by any chance, she have a silver bracelet and hairclip?"

"Eh? Well, now that you mention it, yeah. The clip held up her left hair bang. Looked a little odd, since her right bangs weren't clipped up."

The man nodded gravely. "Look at this." he said, moving so his partner could get a look. There was a shuggle of movement as they switched places, and after a few moments, there was pure silence. Then, a scuffle, as a clipboard was brought out. "What else do we know about her?" one said, licking the tip of a pen.

"She's very quiet. She hangs out with a group of boys, but I get the feeling she'd rather be alone. She seemed to be the voice of reason among them. Oddly enough, one of them told me she was the bravest one out of them."

"Eh? I thought you said she was the voice of reason?"

"She is. She's just not scared. Of anything, apparently. One day when a crocodile got into the classroom, she moved away like all the others yes, but she was the only one perfectly fine during and after it. She was the one who called 911 properly."

"Hm..."

"They did one of those personality tests recently."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Mhm. Her result was ISTP."

 

There was a grave silence as the implications set in.

 

"You don't think..." one of them started. It was impossible to tell which.

The other nodded. "I checked."

"Cetusmon is gone."

Etymology: Greek mythological Cetus

Appearance: Small, blue creature with large almost winglike frontal fins, outfitted with a variety of teeth at the edges that can rip of tear. Has a long dorsal fin that trails above the tail, with a reddish blade on the top. Also has a snake-like face with two large fangs, and a long red horn that resembles a blade. Wears a Holy Ring around the base of his tail, making him a Holy Beast-type digimon. Is 2' 3" in height, but a whopping 6' 10" in length, highly impressive for a Child Digimon.

He wears small brown boots and gloves, whilst his face is covered by a hood, with only 2 yellow dots to show where the eyes are. The hood extends into a cape with the same colour scheme and the hood is held by a small chain near the neck. The link holding both chains is a sun. He carries a small slender oak staff with a white orb at the top. A small book is chained to his left hip.
