Cardinal Gate - Byakko the White Tiger

If there is another "Cardinal Gate" monster on your side of the field, you may Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card destroys a monster as a result of battle, it may attack once again in a row. If you activate this effect and this card attacks directly, the damage is halved.

 

Cardinal Gate - Seiryu the Azure Dragon

Dragon/Tuner/WATER/Level 7

2600/2200

The only card this monster may Synchro Summon is "Neo-Seiryu". This card's Attribute is also treated as LIGHT. When this card is Normal Summoned successfully, you may pay 600 Life Points to destroy one face-up Warrior or Spellcaster-type monster on the field.

 

Cardinal Gate - Genbu the Black Turtle

Aqua/Effect/DARK/Level 6

?/?

This card's Attribute is also treated as EARTH. When this card is Normal Summoned successfully, increase its ATK or DEF by 2000. If you pay 1000 Life Points, you may choose both.

 

Cardinal Gate - Suzaku the Vermillion Bird

Winged Beast/Effect/FIRE/Level 6

2300/2200

When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned, search your deck for a "Cardinal Gate" monster and add it to your hand. Your deck is then shuffled. As long as this card is face-up on the field, the ATK and DEF of all "Cardinal Gate" monsters are increased by 400.

 

Neo-Seiryu

Dragon/Synchro/Effect/WATER/Level 8

3500/3000

"Cardinal Gate - Seiryu the Azure Dragon" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

This card's attribute is also treated as LIGHT. When this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, destroy any number of cards on your side of the field. Inflict 800 damage to your opponent for every card destroyed by this effect.

A bit OP'd (a 2400 ATK swarmer?), but otherwise decent.

Also decent. Not much to criticize.

That's some really awkward phrasing (both your version and mine.) If anyone wants to fix it, it's up for grabs. Otherwise, make the cost 1000. Defense Mode isn't used very much, so it doesn't matter as much.[/b]

When this card is Summoned successfully, toss a coin and call it. If you call it right, destroy 1 monster on your side of the field. If you call it wrong, destroy 2 monsters on your side of the field.

Neo-Seiryu

Dragon/Synchro/Effect/WATER/Level 8

3100/2800

"Cardinal Gate - Seiryu the Azure Dragon" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

This card's Attribute is also treated as LIGHT. When this card is Synchro Summoned successfully, destroy any number of cards on your side of the field. Inflict 500 damage to your opponent for every card destroyed by this effect. If this card battles a FIRE monster or a Warrior-type monster, destroy the monster after damage calculation is applied.

 

It's kinda difficult to get out, and its effect is worse than Trident Dragion's. Up the damage for the effect is all I can suggest.

 

There's not much correlation in the cards. There are some interesting effects, but I wouldn't want to run any of these cards in a Deck.
