Sonic the Hedgehog; Death Egg 3 [Started, accepting over PM]

This is a Sonic Roleplay, and the first roleplay I've made where the members pick a character(s) from what ever the RP is based on, rather then making custom characters.

The Roleplay is based around the old games, when Robotnik/Eggman tried to take over the world using some giant doomsday device rather then freeing one of seemingly infinite powerful beings.

We can start when we have Sonic, myself and 2 other members (so four people) but I'll still be accepting over PM.

3. 3 OOC only posts in a row results in a ban. If you want to know what's happened because you were absent ask me/someone else over PM.

 

4. You must be able to act a character if you want to be them.

 

5. No scripting, no first person. Third person roleplaying only.

 

6. Spelling/grammar mistakes are okay, but please don't be like: is shadow runs up to you CHAOS BLAST! sends sonic flying and destroys surrounding area lol

It was a happy day.

Station Square had finnaly finished being rebuilt from when it had been destroyed by Perfect Chaos a few years before. The mayor walked across the stage infront of City Hall and came to a stop infront of a stand with a microphone on it. Sonic and Tails clapped with everyone else in the croud.

 

Knuckles slept peacefully in the cloud of sleeping gas around him. Metal Sonic walked past him to the Master Emerald Shrine. He wrapped his thin metal arms around the massive emerald and lifted it above his head.

"Chaos Control!" he spoke in his metal voice. The Chaos Emerald that had been planted inside of him flashed, and he vanished with the Master Emerald.

 

A voice suddenly boomed out across the areas of planet Earth.

"People of Earth! I, Doctor Ivo Robotnik, have now got what I need, the Master Emerald, to launch the ultimate weapon! Behold, the Death Egg Three!"

A picture of the Green Hill Zone appeared on every TV in the world. The ground suddenly began to shake. Almost all of Green Hill Zone split open, the ground cracking, opening and sliding away as a giant metal orb, the size of a large town, emerged...

The Death Egg Three zoomed into orbit, the giant Eggman face looking away from Earth.

 

"Behold it's power!" Eggman continued. The red parts of the circular area on the back of the Death Egg began to glow. A giant red beam shot from it and slammed into what was left of the Green Hill Zone, destroying what remained of it and many Zones nearby.

"I will give Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends one month to try and stop me! If they fail to stop me within that time, I will give the world another month to hand over leadership of the world and give me the supplies needed to create Eggman land!

Doctor Robotnik, out!"

 

Elsewhere, without the Master Emeralds power, Angel Island dropped from the sky. It smashed into the ocean next to the Mystic Ruins, creating a small tsunami that swept many tourists into caves or out to sea...

 

Will Sonic and co. be able to stop Eggman? Your choice...

For the last year or so, Eggman has been rebuilding Metal Sonic and the Death Egg. Metal Sonic has stolen the Master Emerald, causing Angel Island to fall, and handed it over to Eggman. Eggman has used the Master Emerald to launch the Death Egg 3, an orbital fortress with immense power.

Sonic and friends have one month to defeat Eggman!

You can have two characters. Only Shadow starts with a Chaos Emerald (the green one). Metal Sonic is working for Eggman. Don't pick characters that have been killed.

 

Character: Pick one from the games.

Character aims: What your character is doing in the role play. I.E., Sonics aims are to defeat Eggman,

Chaos Emeralds can be transformed into Super Emeralds if near the Master Emerald, but it requires a massive amount of concentration.

Chaos Emeralds can be taken from you if you are defeated in battle.

RP Sample: Shadow was running across town. He saw the new Death Egg 3 and smirked. "Eggman you fool. I cannot believe how many times you try the same thing over and over again." He saw Sonic in the crowd as he passed by at a blinding speed. He didn't know if Sonic even saw him. He much didn't care either. "CHAOS...CONTROL!" A green light eluminated around Shadow as it transported him to The top of the tallest building in Metro Station. He looked upon the city. "This place is boring. If only i had been revived when Perfect Chaos had taken the Chaos Emeralds. If would have stopped him so easily." Then he saw Angel Island fall. "Hmph. That ain't good."

Quick Question: As it's based on the Older Games... Does that maen we can't have "New" Characters (I.E: Silver, Blaze, Etc...)

It's based on the older games, but set after the new ones, so alot of the locations are still called Zones in this rp and the Badniks are still in use, but Shadow, Silver, Blaze etc are still around.

 

So to put it short, you can have new characters.

Character aims: To Somehow reverse the Time paradox at the end of Sonic 06 At Any Costs.

Roleplay sample: The Oozing Shadow which was Mephiles slid across the Floor. His Form was Starting to mold into the shape of the Silver Hedgehog; Captering every detail. His Liquid form was no longer Sluge like but solid.

 

"Muahahahah! How Ironic fate can be; Huh Silver?..." He Clenched his Gloved Fist as his Echoed his words out of his Muzzle...

Character: Shadow Android (Realistic verson with Yellow Stripes)

Character aims: To Start a Invasion of androids

"Its My Chaos Emerald; Retreat Copy and you may Not be Dismantled!" He Commanded to his Original; Shadow. The Near pefect copy Holded up the Yellow emerald and glissened in the light of Casino Row.

 

"Chaos Control!" Suddenly the android vanished in a flash of light; only leaving shadow lost in the vault.

When the role play starts, be careful, you may be under constant danger from both Eggman, Sonic and co. and Shadow and co.

 

Anyway, once we've got Sonic we can start (after we've started I'll still be accepting over pm).

The fun part about playing Sonic is that he thinks so blindingly fast, it basically doubles the length of any of his posts. Even during a normal conversation, he should be able to think of complex plots.

I should warn you: in my style, Sonic and Eggman are a) both Magnificent Bastards, b) much more badass than in the games. I hope you have a good villain lined up, 'cuz Sonic does think of these things.

 

Character: Sonic the Hedgehog

Character aims: Destroy Eggman and find a way to travel to other universes.

Roleplay sample:

 

The worst part of plans like these was the waiting.

 

It didn't help that the hedgehog was so inclined against waiting. To compensate for his incredible speed, he perceived time at a rate far slower than the rest of the world. At his full speed of 1269.77 kilometres per hour, time might run at a hundredth of real speed — as if he were running normally. Even when he was still, like now, his time was 150% of normal time.

 

For another thing, his physiology was designed for running. Standing still literally hurt; the bones in his feet were designed to absorb shock moving at supersonic speeds, not to stay in one place. Though he required stealth to observe the enemy, he still silently tapped his foot, hoping to alleviate the pain.

 

He shifted his weight, tapping his other foot. The enemies didn't seem to be moving in any unified fashion as they would if they were controlled by an overmind AI; they seemed to be either independent or roboticized. This made the battle far simpler — an overmind AI was much less susceptible to friendly fire than independent units.

 

There was no way to tell if these flying units used projectiles or only the spikes on their bodies. Only one way to find out.

 

Sonic smirked. The fight had begun.

 

One blue flash later, he confirmed that the robots would retract their spikes slightly to fire their slugs at him, only to restore them at the nearest opportunity. Obviously, the doctor had created these robots to deal with conventional military units. Sonic had to commend his foresight, though; they didn't even try to ram him, having judged him far too fast to even consider attacking physically.

 

He started bouncing around among the robots, keeping an eye out for stray slugs that might intercept his route. Eggman's AI was far from incompetent — he had to twist sharply to evade one bullet, forcing himself to try a homing attack on the ceiling. Surprisingly, it caved, allowing him to try and stand on the other side of the ceiling. Unfortunately, immediately above it was a far better reinforced barrier. He was forced to press his quills to his back and lie between the ceilings as he watched the enemy robots' actions.

 

At this point, it was obvious that the robots weren't about to fall for his crossfire trick. Having to deal with normal troops meant that its reactions were somewhat delayed; they didn't fire quickly enough for him to judge how to redirect the bulletes, and simply bouncing around waiting for them to strike each other by chance would be incredibly boring.

 

Yes, Virginia, there is a better way.

 

Sonic threw himself out of the ceiling towards the wall. The robots prepared to fire; the nearest one did. He immediately bounced off the wall into that robot, slicing it in half and blowing it up.

 

Excellent. He's not roboticizing anyone this time.

 

The next one had fired. He used a Homing Attack to destroy it. Since the robots hadn't been programmed to face him, they didn't bother stopping the chain to prevent him from using them as a pinball table. He wasn't complaining.

 

Several explosions later, the holograms disappeared.

 

"Victory once again," he smirked as his yellow partner flew from his control box to congratulate him.

Character Metal Sonic

Aim To Kill Sonic so he can become the "One True" Sonic

RP Sample (Note: Not EVERYPOST will be like this [i'm not THAT great])

Metal Sonic began to Re-Boot. His Memories and Personality returned, Piece-by-Piece, the First that that returned to him, however, was a Picture of what he called HIS Copy: Sonic. He smashed his way out of his Containment Tube, Wires snapping and creating Sparks as he forcefully freed himself. When he was out of the Tube, he notices he was Clad in (Nano-Bot Infused) Golden Armor-Plating, he looked exactly like Excalibur-Sonic, including the Waist Cape.

 

His Eyes had where now a Glowing, Crimson Red. By the time he had finished looking at his New Form, every Last Bit of his Past was back into his Hard Drive. "S-S-Sonic... " he muttered, his Voice was Raspier than Normal"... Must Eliminate... At All Costs!" he said, as he began to Walk/Limp towards the Exit of the Containment Room.

 

***The Next Day/One Day Later***

 

By-now, everything in Metal Sonic was back to Normal (Not Counting the Upgrades). He was on the Bow of the Final Fortress, the Heel Plating of his Foot Opened and moved to the Sides of the Foot, and revealed 2 Small Thrusters in Each Heel. Without warning, Metal Sonic launched and Dived Down towards Angel Island.

 

Metal Sonic impacted the Ground with Great Force, and Created a Crater that was easily 12 Meters Deep. Metal Sonic climbed out of the Crater, his Armor was Undamaged, though Extremely Dirty and covered in Lord-Knows-What. "Mission: Find Master Emerald... Scanning Area" He said, his Voice still Raspy, but with a Rough Tone.

 

After 5 Minutes of Scanning, Metal Sonic found the Master Emerald and began to make his way towards it, using his Heel Thrusters to save Time. Withing 16.03 Second, the Master Emerald was gone, and Angel Island began to Plummet to the Sea. For anything what saw Metal Sonic, only saw a Blurr of Gold, and a Trail of Dirt.

 

"Mission Complete... Returning To Final Fortress, Then... Deliver To Eggman" Metal Sonic said, keeping a Tight Grip on the Master Emerald as he quickly approached the Final Fortress.

Tails was one day working in his lab. "I have to improve the tornado (Is it still called the tornado?) to help Sonic in any way possible! Well Im going to take a quick break." *Walks outside* "No way is that the death egg!? "Oh no! *Runs inside and starts thinking of someway to tell everyone.*

Roxas, I'm glad you mentioned the Final Fortress because I was thinking about having Eggman stay in the Death Egg 3 and using the Final Fortress as an out post closer to home.

So if you didn't mind during the rp Metal Sonic is in charge of the Final Fortress while Eggman sits up in the Death Egg 3 eating KFC?

And yet another thing at Roxas: Incase you didn't quite get it in the plot, the red Chaos Emerald is inside of you (Metal Sonic).

Eggman watched the Earth from the viewing room at the top of the Death Egg 3.

His black metal throne sparkled in the light that Earth always seemed to give off whenever Eggman was in space above the planet.

Suddenly, he remembered something:

BADNIKS! I've forgotten to get some robots down there to take care of Sonic!

 

The order was sent out. Pods were shot from the Death Egg 3 and they landed in locations all over the world. As they landed they burst open, revealing Badniks.

Soon every zone was crawling with robots who only had one objective: Destroy Sonic if he was sighted.

IC: Mighty

Mighty tapped his wet foot.

Not only was his foot wet, he and everyone else on the train were completely soaked.

They were the few tourists who had managed to escape the flooding of the ancient ruins when Angel Island crashed.

 

"We have arrived in STATION SQUARE." called out the pre-recorded message. The message was quite pointless as the only places the train went to and stopped at were Station Square and the Mystic Ruins.

Mighty got up and ran to the doors, exiting the train as soon as they opened. He had heard that this was Sonics last known location as today they had finnaly completed the repairs since Perfect Chaos attacked, and of course as Sonic had defeated the monster he would be the guest of honor.

Although, knowing Sonic, he may have already left.

It had been a long time since they last met, but Mighty doubted that Sonic had become any slower or less excited since their last encounter.

Mighty ran down the stairs out of the station. The only way he could find out if Sonic was still here was to search every street, road, alley, building and any other place...

OOC: Ok, shadow android just to note got released when his storage pod malfunctions which was supose to contain him after he wanted to start the invasion before...

 

"Malfunction, Manfunction; Storage Unit SDA-Y01 Being Ejected!"The Announcement System Echoed on the Death egg 3. Suddenly a Strangge Conatiner was Ejected; A Silver Tube with a Glass viewing pannal which was Frozen up. As it Fell through the Athophere; People at Station Square was looking up to what looked like a Shooting star.

 

"Smash! Kaboom!" Was the sound when the Pod crashed into one of the skyscrapers. As it cooled down; its Icy Glass door opened and steped out a Hedgehog, With yellow strips, chesthair, Hovershoes and gloves with rings attached to them.

 

"All Systems Operational" Hit spoke in a Slighty Sythitised verson of shadows voice.

OOC: Throughout the RP Eggman will be releasing various robotic versions of Sonic and co. These robots are nowhere near as powerful as Metal Sonic and the other Metal/Mechas so think of them as sub-bosses. They have very minor AI and if your fighting one you may control it's actions unless you want someone else to.

Shortly after the news of the Shadow Androids escape had been spread around the Death Egg 3, another pod was launched.

 

It crashed a few miles away from Station Square.

META SONIC V.01 was written across the front of the pod.

The pod opened and out came another Sonic robot. This one, unlike previous Sonic robots, could not be seen as anything apart from a robot.

It was obviously based on Sonic, but looked almost nothing like him.

"RETREIVE SHADOW ANDROID, RETREIVE SHADOW ANDROID" it called out. The wheel it balanced on began to spin and it rolled off towards Station Square.

OOC: Finaly; level 4! and after 2 and a half years....

 

The Shadow Android looked down from the smashed glass of the Skyscraper after his Rebooting checks have been finished.

 

"Hmp...Looks like that Fool eggman cant keep me Locked away.." He Syntherised. Suddenly; he Leaped out of the Skyscraper and Started to fall down to the Ground of Station Square.

Punching his fish down as he landed; the Asphult of the road cracked open with not even a scratch on Him. The People beside gasped and stared at him; thinking it was shadow.

 

"Now; To find them chaos Emeralds..." His words before walking away like nothing had happened...

[Mr. Hyde]

While Shadow was standing on the top of the skyscraper, he noticed a bunch of tubes falling from the sky. "Hmph. Robots. Didn't see that coming." Shadow jumped from the top where he started to spindash in midair. When he hit the ground, the force of impact destroyed a couple of robots. He got up and rubbed the back of his head. "That wasn't a good idea..ouch."

He looked across a crowd of people where he saw , basically, a clone of him. Except he had a different color pattern. "Wow, an imposter me."

Mighty walked along the street, brushing past the Shadow Android.

He gasped suddenly at the damage. The upper half of a sky scraper had been damaged and there were cracks in the road.

 

Mighty raised his camera and took a picture of the damaged road.

Still got to find Sonic... He thought.

He had to find Sonic by the end of the day or they wouldn't be able to stop Eggman.

"Huh...Great...The original Has found me..." He Stoped when his Sensors Detected a Chaos Emerald; Shadow allways had one for his Chaos Control. Suddenly his Right arm transformed into what looked like a Mine Launcher. The Croud dispursed screeming as he aimed for the Real shadow.

 

"Give me the Emerald Now Organic!" He Commanded, His sythisyer voice sounded more Vishous as he prepared to attack.

Ooh, robots and a clone. Fun.

 

One had his color scheme but looked more like a flying water tower. An inscription on it read "META SONIC V.01." It certainly didn't deserve to bear his name, nippy though it may be.

 

Another was an old Shadow Android that had decided to paint itself yellow. It was already resorting to a grenade launcher, though. He'd have to remember that its AI was still nothing special; the most notable flaw in the Android series was its over-reliance on weaponry.

 

A third was quite obviously the real thing, looking simultaneously incredibly arrogant and a bit irritated at the android's existence. In short, he was acting rather like a deadpan, less obtuse version of Sonic himself — the personality of the Ultimate Life Form to a T.

 

The Android, however, was apparently after a Chaos Emerald. A single Android would never have challenged the real Shadow without some ace up its sleeve; even if its AI wasn't unusual, its framework could be. There was no point in having Tails scan it if it was about to jump into battle.

 

Apparently, so was he.

 

"Break it up, guys," he mock-sighed as he dashed to the fight in an instant. "I know we all have conflicting needs here, but violence is not the answer. Besides, you're scaring your classmates." He gestured to some of the more timid onlookers, who were running for their lives.

Meta Sonic continued to roll down the street towards the Shadow Android.

"RETREIVE SHADOW ANDROID, RETREIVE SHADOW ANDROID" it called out as it approched, its armed outstretched.

 

Mighty turned around as a familiar voice sounded out. There, standing near...

Mighty blinked a few times. There were two of the same hedgehogs there. Although one had yellow stripes instead of red and had a grenade launcher for a hand. Getting back to what he was meant to be doing, Mighty ran forward towards Sonic.

"Sonic! Hey Sonic!"
