Eury
I'm getting tired of seeing Necrobumps. My suggestion is to lock threads after they are dead and over a month old.
Tortoise Kyle
Sure. But not after a month. Make it about 3 and I support.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
That would work, so support. If the creator wants to reopen their thread, they can PM the mods
Muluck
May I map this out for you? There are currently 165,838 threads in this forum combined. The average-now I am assuming here- of threads made per day is about 20, give or take a few.The forums is pretty diverse in what it is giving you, you have Card Creations, News, Role Playing, Fan Fictions, TCG Discussions, etc.. Given the amount of members-and increasing- and the amount of threads per day, that comes out to about 600 threads each month-given that each month has 30 days and that the mass increase in population stays steadily-. Now do you really expect the Moderators to dig through pages upon pages upon pages, to find "dead" threads? That's more time doing the useless and less time doing what it is so many members are complaining about, Moderating the forum and enforcing rules equally. I'll just say this before you try to defend your idea further. There is not a plugin out there that currently does this, as far as I know the Moderation Team does not now how to manipulate MyBB in anyway shape or form to do what you want. So quite frankly this idea is like creating a robot to dig a hole and bury dead people. Sure it could be possible, but unpractical.

They don't have to get them all but occasionally stopping by the 10th page and locking everything there would be a good idea, but meh. I'll just say this before you try to defend your idea further. Morgan LeFlay
No support, for someone like me who isn't overly active and wants to update their own thread, this would be a bad implementation. Plus the mods would have to work much harder just to lock the topics and even harder when everyone wants their topic unlocked. Plus mods would get tired of doing it over and over for people so those requests might just be ignored.
Mindscatter
Nah, better idea: when a topic reaches the 4th page, it is automatically locked. This way, the mods won't have to work anymore. What do you think? Can a program that does that be implemented?
SmallieBigs
That's what necrobumping is for my friend, necrobumping. Except for the possibility of being negged. Also if the above said happened, let's say that you got into a war with a n00b they would flood as much as possible and get your thread to fourth boom lock and your like WTF! .area51player.
But can't a member necro bump his own thread? And if he wants to necro bump his own thread and it's locked? No Support, I think.

This would be impractical and isolate many users.
