Nintendo DSi XL

Is the resolution better? Or does it just make the game screen bigger? Because that would be retarded. It seems like they're marketing this towards older people who can't see as well (older as in 30+). Wouldn't older games look worse on this? If the resolution is higher' date=' will they make games with it in mind? If so, will they be playable on previous iterations of the system? Will they look crappier? Will someone die if struck in the head with this brick of a "portable" device? There are so many questions.

If memory serves that is the exact reason they are doing this.

I'm sure you'll be able to get your answers if you searched. I have things to do ATM but if no one posts it, I'll post what I can later.

So. When is the Nintendo DSi XS coming out? I mean this could be to big imo....

Bad move = Bad [/thread]

Makes no money = bad move = bad

Last I checked' date=' it was selling like hotcakes.

Therefore, not bad move = not bad. :P

[/quote']

Guess they haven't realized how bad it is.

- Gameboy Game Compatability

+ Camera, Internet and Music

We already have tools that Support the additions. When was the last time you saw someone use a Gameboy?

1) Stop it with that argument. It's just retarded. Especially in this case. The fact that they're buying a DSi XL only shows that they don't have a problem with the concept of a DSi.

2) So? Who cares if you already have tools for that? With that logic, lord knows how many things wouldn't exist.

Pokémon console > Nintendo DS.

Simple fact. I'd definitely rather buy a Pokémon-based handheld console that had customisation and the ability to play all Pokémon games while updating/buying new cartridges lets you get the latest games than a DS. Though I'd miss Mario Kart DS, Super Mario Bro's and Phoenix Wright- I'd still rather buy a Pokéconsole.

And GBA slot > everything. The DSi came out and I bought a DS Lite instead, for the sole reason to play ROM Hacks. I own FireRed and Ruby in real life so they're legal (as IPS patches aren't illegal) too. LiquidCrystal, rijionAdventures and many others are more entertaining to play than DPPt/HGSS unless you play competitively, which I understand many do. I don't though, so losing the GBA slot is a big downfall for me. The fact that DSi's are selling is because... well seriously, look at the latest releases. All this imagine sheet, and all the other family-based and kid-friendly games they're bringing out now. It's more like an educational tool than anything else. Furthermore, it may be a bigger screen but there is NO CHANGE IN RESOLUTION OR HARDWARE. So what's the point of paying $100 more (at the time it comes out) for a fatter version with poorer (as bigger screen + same resolution makes it worse) 'graphics'? Absolute blasphemy, despite what the retarded Nintendo fanboys think.

Lol, my phone (and I guess iPod sometimes) is what I use for my Camera (as it's over 3 times better than the DSi's terrible one), Internet (the DS's browser is SO slow and can't do anything, no flash capabilities or anything) and Music (my phone is a music phone and it's music quality is SO much better then the DSi's, and near the iPod Touch's quality of music, compared to the horrible quality you get on the DSi).

This idea is stupid. The only people that are supporting it is Nintendo fanboys who somehow think that paying over $200 for an 'improved' version of an already bad console is a good idea.

1) That first statement? I don't think many people would want a system that only plays Pokemon games over a system that plays more than that.

2) The DSi is for people who don't care about a GBA slot.

3) What does all this "Imagine" stuff have to do with a DSi? I do believe a DS Phat can play those.

4) I'm sure people that have trouble seeing would rather have a larger screen with worse resolution than a smaller screen that they can't see. Besides, I don't think the resolution would be THAT crippling (although I could wind up being wrong, so don't quote me on that.)

5) It doesn't matter whether there are other things that can do what the DSi does. With that logic, god knows how many things wouldn't exist.

6) A DS, no matter which kind, is not a bad system. They all play the same (or almost the same) DS games. Any other game you can play on that system is irrelevant.

I have a hard decision between buying PsP or PsP go' date=' my friends are saying PsP Go is way better, but you guys are saying the opposite, Luckily i already have the nintendo DS lite.

Get a PSP 3000 that comes in one of the game packs.

Much better than a Go. :/

Unless it's backwards compatible' date=' NOT WORTH IT.

[/quote']

The SNES was not backwards compatible with the NES (not without a buggy and unlicensed device that wasn't released until about 5 years after the SNES, anyways). I never saw a single complaint about it. /everysinglecomplaintaboutthedsinothavinganybackwardscompatiabilitywithanyofthegameboygames

So long as it costs about the same as the i it doesn't matter. Really the only thing I don't get is why they're doing it less then a year after the i came out.

actually A DSi XL costs 20' date='000 yen, Roughly $231.

[b']I see no point for a oversized DSi anyway. Stupid idea IMO.[/b]

For people with bigger hands?
