The New Republic has been constructed, but the Jedi who where in hiding during the war with the Empire have taken back the thrown of power. The Darkside of the Force is a forbidden power that few have. The Jedi have order that all those who use the darkside must be executed on the spot by an official solider of the Republic. The reason this has been set into action is to stop another Empire from rising from the power of the darkside.
