OoC: -Twitch- It isn't hard to handle....

Ic:

Raiel took a deep breathe. "If you are so eager to find out my mission, you'd better hurry to the oasis and face me."

---

Warfang gave one last sniff. "That scent is...a different dragon! And it's close to the oasis!"

(G'night.)

Snowfire shook his head. Red clearly sensed something. Odd, Snowfire didn't sense anything. Was it another dragon? Or maybe a werewolf? Before his thoughts could continue his head wracked in pain. As Snowfire stumbled to the ground, clutching his head, he realized what was happening; and that it was the worst place for it to happen. Seconds passed and his fur began to shorten. His claws dulled and shortened as well, and his fangs followed. He was now his human self again. Unconscious, but human. He was chest against the ground, his gun under him.

"Fine I will." looks back at the rest of the group "Everyone, follow the fire line to the oasis, I'm scouting ahead." He notices Marcus. "And someone might want to do something with Marcus before he becomes fully concious but don't kill him." He runs up ahead and changes into his human form incase Raiel would attack at his head if he went by him but he keeps runing to see Raiel no matter the outcome. He readys his sword incase of a battle.

OoC: Yes, they can, in some ways, be of different species. And it is possible to be different Were creatures. Vampires have all the characteristics people say they do.

Ic:

Raiel heard the footsteps go faster. He held up his knife once more and threw it into the oasis. Then, suddenly, a giant lance flew out of the oasis and Raiel grabbed it. Let's see how well you do against my Dragon Lance.......

((Except sparkling. God HELP you if your vampire sparkles in sunlight.))

Red blinked, noticed the unconcscious Markus and sighed, reaching down and picking up the human. After a moment of struggling with the large body being held by her comparitively slimmer form, she eventually settled on carrying him over her shoulders and behind her head rather, though she was still apprehensive.

"I'm getting a bad feeling..." she muttered.

Caim comes up to the enterance of the cave and pulls out a knife and throws it toward the entry way and it thuds on the ground like a footstep. He hopes that Raiel will show himself early. I've heard how good he is, now I need to put him to that test. He stops just before the knife hits the floor of the cave. "I shall stop right here till you show yourself. The others are back there away from this. Now it's your move Raiel."

OOC: Actually, I won't. I think I got more of a understanding.

Alex kept running with Caim. "Almost there, aren't we." He asks Caim, as he keeps running, while thinking "Who the hell is Raiel?" As Mind Alex, who is a psycho, kept yelling, "LET'S KILL HIM WHOEVER HE IS!" But the other says, "No, this is Caim's battle." As the running continued.

Raiel, appeared suddenly. In front of both Alex and Caim. Holding his enormous double-lance. He stared at Alex for a while. "What kind of dragon would want to cross-breed with scum?" He then looked back at Caim. He got his lance ready. "I'd hate to kill you but you see, I have no choice. And the half-breed there is going to be shown no mercy, by the way."

"Then that pitiful excuse for a proud dragon was a complete disgrace." Raiel ignored Caim's words. "Caim, I know a traitor when I see one. And I have no intention in taking my eyes off them until they die! All disgraces of our proud race must perish!" Raiel then charged at Alex and Caim with his lance, keen on killing them.

((Where exactly are we?))

((I was accepted via PM, BTW.))

((And what's the status on America?))

A large, black jet-like vehicle, formerly called an "SR-71 Blackbird" when there was a military to name such things, opened up what looked like landing gear and some sort of thrusters as it stopped in mid-air, then settled down outside of a cave.

A ramp extended from the belly, and several people dressed as soldiers, complete with some sort of heavy machine guns, walked out, scattered in a circle around the former jet, now heavily customized, before one of them yelled "Clear!" and what looked like a young man stepped out of the jet.

He had short, spiky, jet-black hair, pale skin, and cold, red eyes. For all intensive purposes, he seemed like a vampire, until he stepped out into the burning sun, and simply stood there.

Following him were two soldiers bringing what looked like a female werelion, but that's where the similarity ended. She had a long, blood-red mane that reached to her waist, golden fur, and a rope-like tail, but her face was much more demonic-looking, and her eyes glowed red with rage. Her tail also split partly down its length, turning into 2 tails, both of which seemed animated, like she had a pair of snakes attached to her rear.

The soldiers holding her chains could just barely restrain the creature as she stepped out of the jet and stood near the man, staying in the shadow of the craft and sniffing, as if she was trying to find something.

"Saki, my pet, do you smell dragons?" The young man asked in a slight Russian accent.

She made a low growl, then she roared, startling her caretakers.

"That's what I thought." the man smirked, revealing vampiric fangs, as well as a mouth filled with sharp, pointed teeth.

"Mr. Krutchnikov!" An official-looking politician stepped out of the jet, slowly moving past Saki, and taking a place next to the strapping Russian.

"Call me Alex." The man replied.

"Alex, what are we doing out here in the middle of nowhere?"

Alex motioned for a rifle similar to the ones the soldiers were carrying, and activated it, causing it to rev up with a very strange, futuristic powering-up sound.

"We're doing what your country has hired us to do; the thing that your country has asked us to do in exchange for this modified stealth jet and these prototype railguns."

He then grinned again.

"We're gonna hunt dragons!"

Red's heckles rose as she dropped Markus, raising her claws and getting into a battle stance. She had disliked this idea from the start. She knew something bad would result from following a dragon. Now, she just had to wait for an opening, as the other dragon charged with his spear towards the other two.

She then blinked as she felt a human hand pass her fur, a slightly giggle, and the flash of a stick; Raiel's attack had been paused by what seemed to be an ordinary stick lodged into his stomach scales, in such a way that they bypassed the reptile's usual defenses and poked at his thin skin membrane. Such a strike could have only been done by one with intimate knowledge of draconian biology.

The owner of the stick, an apparent female human with long hair and ripped, torn clothing, smiled a little and groomed herself. "Sorry Raiel, but I had to get your attention somehow." she said with the hint of a smile.

"Also, you left yourself open. I couldn't resist." she shrugged. "I have some stuff to say anyway, and it really can't wait."

She glanced over at Caim and the werewolve/pyres, and gave a little wave. "Ooh! Hello there!" she glanced back at Raiel. "Did Caim get us lunch? I'm STAAARVED!" she complained, holding her human stomach for emphasis.

Raiel couldn't move at all as if his body has been turned to stone. "Nivra.....Why'd you do that?.....These are our enemies....Your strange habit of these....things.....have always confused us.....What is it?......"

OOC: You guys can control my chars for a bit.

(Is anyone else on? o_O)

With all the shouting, and movement, Marcus eventually woke up. The first thing he did was hold his hand to his head. His head was throbbing from pain, and memories seemed to flash by. Memories of what Snowfire had seen, the talking between others, the observations, even the thoughts. "Ugh..." Muttering, he blindly felt for something. Maybe his gun, or whatever. Thankfully, he still had his beanie, which lessened the pain of his head.

A few heavily armed and armored soldiers passed by Marcus and Alex, but a large lion-like creature stopped in front of the injured young man. The 9-foot-tall werelion-like creature, which was obviously female sniffed him, then made some sort of growl that sounded like "Are you OK?", which came out as "Arrrrrr uuuuu okkkkay?"

Another man, this one looking like a well-exercised vampire, but with glowing red eyes complimenting the glowing red embers that the demon-lion-woman had, appeared nearby.

"Saki, he looks injured, and I know you're hungry. I am too, but could you try to ignore your stomach and give this man a lift?"

Saki grabbed Marcus, licked some of the blood he had running down the side of his head, then placed him on her mane-covered back before joining the rest of the soldiers.

The maybe-vampire, who might be Eastern European by his accent, extended a hand to the terrified man and his friend.

"I am Alexander Krutchnikov, true werepyre, and this is Saki no Tsukuyomi, former Shinto priestess of the Moon, now an interesting mix between Asian vampire and werelion."

"And these are the Lost Boys, me little band of merry men. We take life from the dragons and give it to the rest of the planet!"

Nivra blinked and glanced over at Alexander, who had just entered. "Well... that takes the wind out of my sails." She said with a hint of bitterness, before withdrawing the stick from Raiel. "As I was about to say, "There's people in the forest who I think it would be in our best interests to avoid at all costs." would be something I would have said a little earlier, but seeing as they are HERE, NOW, I think a more proper response would be "Oh my god, every Dragon for herself, get the hell out." she finished eloquently.

Red blinked. "Wait, what?" she muttered; Nivra hadn't bothered to speak to the dragon in their private language, and could hear every word uttered.

Marcus felt around in his pockets. Bingo. He had found his gun. Opening his eyes, he realized he was on the back. Of something. In truth, he could of aimed his pistol downwards and shoot the lion-thing. No one would see him pull it off. That only left him in a bad position. The cave only made everything more difficult.

"I told you so Raiel. Hey Nirva. These guys newly aquainted friends...Well thats what I think anyway. They don't completely trust me. They are not lunch. Now just calm down and let everyone get by the oasis so we can all sit and talk."

OOC: @ace: Our characters are in a specail cave maze area underground in which the real goal is to get to the oasis for shelter. Af for yours, I dont know.

((Sorry about that.))

Alexander continued to try to strike up a conversation with Marcus.

"So...beanie boy...do you know if there is anyone else in these tunnels? Saki smells dragons, and so do I, but I also smell something else...something that smells like both vampire and werewolf mixed together..."

"Grrrr...." Raiel struggled as hard as possible against the paralysis caused by the stick. "When I get out, I'm reporting each and every one of you!" The words he said were spoken in draconian language so only Caim, Nivra, and Alex (slightly) could understand. "INCLUDING YOU TWO TRAITORS! AND YOU TOO, HALF-BREED!"

Nivra raised a delicate eyebrow. "'including' us? Who else would you report? I mean, I'm not sure the council has hearings about random werewolves and the such, but I wouldn't know..." she said with a hint of wistfulness. She picked up her stick again and twirled it, chuckling to herself. "You're such a drama queen, Raiel. You need to learn to think with your head, rather than your emotions. There's...things... approaching us that could very easily kill the three of us in a small, confined space like this, and I took time from my busy schedule to warn you. The fact I stopped you from wasting time is unimportant."

She shrugged and began walking down the halls with the stick held across her shoulders. "In any case, I'm getting out of here. If any of you are smart, you will too."

-

Red crossed her arms and growled. "I don't like this. I feel trapped on both sides. Warfang, I think we should get out of here as soon as possible. I smell dragon infront of us that certainly isn't the one we know, and I smell something else I can't really identify behind us."
