Nani found a bookshelf standing around by one of the walls and quickly made his way over there, starting to climb it. He managed to cause a minor avalanche of books which also meant he fell down on the floor. He grunted as he hit the hard marble floor but quickly got up, brushing off his clothes, trying not to look completely awkward. He picked up one of the books and brushed some dust away from it. There were various characters written on there, neither of which he could understand. He shrugged and opened the book, looking at it for a while might help him understand. Come to think of it, he couldn't even talk just a while back.

As no one seemed to know what to say Lucia stepped up to the front of the group. She quietly bowed and stood back up. She felt she had to be polite, she was speaking to the king after all.

"Your majesty. We've come in response to the call to slay the dragons. You'll have to forgive our intrusion, however no one would answer our calls at the door. If you would, could you explain to us what exactly we should do? We're all capable warriors to be sure, or we wouldn't be here. And we kindly have to ask, why the decision to attack the dragons now?" she said in a polite tone. Hopefully, Lucia had spoken the thoughts of the group. She'd only said what she felt needed to be said but whether or not that represented the sentiments of the group she wasn't sure.

The King leaned forward, suddenly interested in Estanlya. He knew the elven Charmers had dangerously excellent charisma, but to experience it now ... it was breath taking. He shifted uncomfortably in his chair; although his wife was currently with other dutchesses and ladies, Estanlya was far more beautiful than any other woman he had ever seen. He heard Lucia and focused on the task in hand. "The changing of the century is approaching, and it is custom to send a new group every hundered years. Of course, who wouldn't like to see the dragons slayed at last?"

Kent noticed how everyone else began to speak their minds, how everyone decided to step up and say something. Kent thought if he should speak his mind, explain how he would be honored to help take up the task of slaying the dragons as a redemption of his old ways. Then he thought, nah. He already presented himself politely by standing next to everyone else, so he figured he'll just kick back and watch how things go. He then noticed how the elf was obviously a charmer. He almost fell for her act in the hall, and he won't let it happen again.

Nani managed to drop the book in the floor causing a large thud, echoing through the palace. If he could blush he would have done so at that point, but since he couldn't he quickly picked up the book and started to walk back to the others in the group. "I guess I now have a feeling connected to embarrassment" he thout and placed the book gently on the ground befor him.

"Of course, now what would you have us do first?" she asked the king. She didn't expect the king to send them off with absolutely no knowledge about any of the dragons. They had to have the location of at least one of them. If they didn't have any information, of course Lucia would still go; the dragons needed to be slayed. But she would infinitely prefer knowledge to start out with as opposed to nothing.

The King clapped his hands and at once two messengers came, holding up a large map of Ahrklit. On the western border, where the spontaneous caves were, a gold cross was marked. "That is the location of the Light Dragon Amath. I need you all to work together, for a dragon hide is difficult - but not impossible - to peneratrate. Spells or physical fighting will not do damage alone. I am pleased to see we have a range of races - and indeed sub-races - interested in slaying the dragons." He leaned back and waited for their reply, if they had any.

Lucia examined the map and the location of the first dragon. It was a good ways away from their current location but not unreasonably so. She was happy to know that they had the location of one of the dragons.

"So you're saying we need both magic and physical attacks. I believe our group can accomplish that. Though I'd like to request a smaller map with the location of the dragon on it." she said. It was an obvious request; one the king had likely expected. But it had needed to be asked all the same. And why Lucia suddenly was talking so much, especially among this group, was odd to her but she felt she had to do it.

Kent folded his arms and listened. He had no questions, because all the obvious questions would be answered, and anything not answered would probably be asked by the rest of the group. He heard lore about a dragon's stomach being vital and plushy, but that was, of course, only lore. He continued to listen, waiting for the 'lesson' to continue. He was eager to go on the road with allies. He hadn't really known anybody in his life that was more than a co-worker. Sure, it's not like he expected everyone to be best friends, but at least allies, which was something he was looking forward to.

The King nodded and another servent stepped forward and handed them a rolled up map. Then he turned to Uugrokk. "And what about your tribe, Hon'rahkk Throkk?" He had been given a quick lesson beforehand as to addressing Uugrokk, and although his pronounciation wasn't accurate it was passable. Uugrokk chuckled deeply as she carefully made her way towards the front of the group.

"We call them colony, King of the Humans," said Uugrokk. She didn't know about the royal formalities, and she knew it wasn't exactly expected of her to know. "I have pondered hard, and I feel they must follow me. However, a colony of Thyrakks will surely alert any other dragons who happen to see us. Therefore, it is best if only I am involved in the fighting, and my colony make our lives as easy as possible."

"Very well. That is all. If you have every answer you wished, you may leave." The King waited for any responses.

Kent decided he would be the first one gone. He quickly bowed his head and said "Thank you, your majesty." and proceeded to exit. He often liked sitting in one place and chilling out for a while, but in this case, he wanted to leave. He loved journies to far away lands. He figured he would like this. He waited for the others kindly down at the main hall. He figured that his assassin talents could be of use to this group, because often times he had to work with little information on the target. However, for now, he took a chair in the corner of the main hall and sat, patiently for the rest of the party.

As he had no further questions he walked over to the book and picked it up. He started walking off and then stopped and turned around. 'may i take this with me?' he asked, realizing that he should be asking when it came to royalty.

Ooc: feel free to make the book whatever if you want. The more Hilarious the better xD

Estanlya made no reply, but gave a bow and left, joining Kent in the hallway. She walked over to him, curious as to his silence. Why was he so silent? She stopped with some distance between them, and asked, "I wonder, why do you keep such a silence? I have rarely seen anyone less talkative."

The King leaned forwards to see what the book was. "Oh yes, sure, go ahead. It's just old clippings from the Heat and Hello newspapers. I am getting quite fed up of Maria holding the book." He was referring to his wife; she was perhaps one of the most nosiest women for gossip.

(OOC: there ya go xD)

Kent cracked a smile, and said in a bit of an enigmatic way "Let's just say, that blending in, used to be my job for most of my life. That being said, I'm not normally used to being in plain sight." He shrugged as if he didn't know why, because he completely and entirely did. His head was pounded with one thought:

DON'T SAY YOU USED TO BE AN ASSASSIN, DON'T SAY THE WORD ASSASSIN AT ALL, DON'T THINK THE WORD ASSASSIN!! JUST STOP THINKING!.

He decided to follow the voice in his head's idea, seeing as it made plenty of sense. Though, keeping a secret could be a bit hard with a charmer around.

Lucia took the map and took her leave of the king's chamber. The rest of the group was already outside. She saw the Espirituu headed outside with her. She turned to him.

"Hi, I'm Lucia, since we're going to be traveling together I figured I should introduce myself. What's your name?" she asked the creature. What she was really hoping was to see some of the creature's magic. The Espirituu were the best at magic out of any of the races. With any luck she might be able to pick up an advanced technique from it. She had no idea as to what level of magic this one could use but she believed it had to be higher than her own.

Aeron walked in, bowing slightly for formalities. He patted Nani lightly. "Err, you'll have to excuse my friend's rudeness." He muttered just barely. Taking his hand of Nani's head, he did a quick sketch over the figures present. Elf girl, whore. He remarked mentally towards Estanlya, ignoring Kent. That one had something odd about him, not to be trusted.

Espirituu, idiot.

Ork woman, oblivious.

That would do it, he thought.

"I see," said Estanlya just as Uugrokk left the chamber. She looked at the group; it was clear she was the tallest out of them all. She cleared her throat. "I think we should all get to know each other. I am Uugrokk Grok'raah, daughter of my precessor, Throkk Uugraah Grok'raah. I am currently Throkk of my colony." She paused. "What about you all?"

Ooc: lol xD

He did not know what the book was about so he bowed to show his Thanks before he left the room. He saw the silent man standing around with the elven woman, apparently she had managed to make him open his mouth. He sat down close by and stared at the text, it was still meaningless to him but he forced himself to keep on looking at it.

As everyone seemed to be presenting themselves he felt it would be odd not to give his name. 'Nani' he said, without his eyes ever leaving the book.

Ooc: loging off for a while.

Kent shrugged, and figured he would have to tell people who he was eventually. He said, without fear or nervousness, "I, am Kent Estworthy..." when his head pounded him with thoughts. Such as:

YOU SAY THE WORD ASSASSIN IN THAT SENTENCE I AM GOING TO PUSH YOU OFF A CLIFF!!

He continued with his introduction "..and I have never really known my parents. I've been mostly wandering, and I am a mix between a Shadanaar and a Vanaar. I am a capable swordsman looking forward to travelling with all of you." He then folded his arms, thinking 'Close call', and began to listen to other's introductions.

"Not listening? Oh well." Lucia thought as she moved pass the Espirituu. She heard the initiative to introduce everyone so she decided to.

"I'm Lucia Yule, better known to the small towns as the Maiden of Thunder. And if you can't tell, I'm a mystikia." she said as she ran a hand through her completely white hair. She looked to the others, waiting for their introductions. The group was really varied and she had to wonder what they were all doing in this city at one time. Obviously they wanted the dragons dead but did they know about this before today? Maybe Lucia was one of the few who didn't know about the traditional attempt to slay the dragons.

Aeron sighed to himself, quickly putting on a face of kindness. He approached the group, bowing once more to show some formality. "Hello, I couldn't help but overhear that you would be traveling together....?" He asked aloud, quickly retreat his right hand into a pocket as to hide it from view.

"I am Estanlya, and in Felya - the name of our language - my name means Beautiful Voice," said Estanlya confidently. "I am a Charmer, which I am sure you will have noticed by now, and I am the daughter of a Charmer and a Sorceror. I purposely came from the elven cities to aid the King on this quest." She turned to Aeron. "Yes, we are all after the dragons."

"Ah, I suppose you wouldn't mind if I were to join you in your adventure?" He asked once more, observing the expressions of everyone. If anyone were to flinch, he knew what to do. Alright, the elf seems to know what she's talking about. Still don't know about the others. He glanced at Nani. Might want to keep him around.

"I've no objections to adding another member to the team. But I'm by no means the leader of this group. What do the rest of you say?" she asked. Aeron seemed like a good addition to the team. Lucia felt an odd magic about him but she made nothing of it. If he wanted the dragons dead that was enough for her. She doubted the other members would have issues with Aeron joining but sometimes she could never guess how people would react. She noticed the Espirituu seemed most attached to this newcomer. Hopefully she'd eventually get to speak to the Espirituu.
