I've seen and read alot of great fan-fics so i decided, "Hey, maybe I'll start a fan-fic." I based this fan-fic on some of my rl friends but changed their names. Anyways, welcome to the Ring (and i don't mean Halo or wrestling, lol) !

 

[Chapter One-The Ring is Opened]

 

Our two main characters, Ken and Jai, are eagerly awaiting the Grand opening of the Duelist Ring. Late one evening, we find our heroes, well, not quite ready.

 

Ken: *yawns* Jai? Dude, what time is it?

 

Jai: Well good evening to you as well. It's one o' friggin clock. Now hurry and get dressed, we have to meet the guys in 30 minutes.

 

Ken: Alright, jeez. Shut up and finish your lunch.

 

Jai: Ugh. . . .

 

Ken was a bright, red haired, eager young duelist and loved to hang out with his brother, Jai. Jai however, was nearly the opposite. He was just as smart as his baby brother, but rather hang out with his friends.

 

Jai: *burps* Ah, that was good. Ken! Hurry up!

 

WOOSH!

 

Ken: Ready. Hehe.

 

They ran out of the house, down the steps, and hopped on thier bikes. They rode quikly and swiftly to the airport.

 

Ken: Well? Where are they?

 

Damien: Heeeeeeey! Over heeeeeeere!

 

Ken: Damien? What's up?

 

He ran panting like a thirsty dog on a hot day of summer. DAmienwas a good friend to both Jai and Ken, just not as bright.

 

Jai: Damien. What's up?

 

Damien: Nothing much, but the plane is going to leave soon. We have to hurry, Kaiba is waiting

 

About 10 minutes later, they arrived at Gate XX. Used especially, and only, for Seto Kaiba.

 

Kaiba: It's about time. You punks are late.

 

?????: Cool your jets Kaiba. You'll meet your end soon enough.

 

Kaiba: Hm? You!

 

Ken: Just who the hell is this? A Friend of yours Kaiba?

 

?????: Allow me to introduce myself. I am Shannon Nodia. Current victor of the Ring.

 

Kaiba: No. He's just some punk I met recently, CLAIMING he's the victor of the Ring. Never mind that. All of you stowe it and let's get to the jet.

 

Jai: Hang on, we're missing someone. Where's Steven?

 

Steven: Boo-hoo! I'm right here. Let's move.

 

All the way from Tokyo, Steven emerged from the nearest bench, covered in newspaper clippings. Soon enough, they arrived at the Ring. Unknown to Jai and the gang, they were about to meet the best duelists from around the world!

 

Jai: So this is it? The Grand opening of the, um, what's it called?

 

Ken: The Ring of Duelists. Well Kaiba, you said there would be a meeting when it was time to begin the tournament, wehn is it?

 

Kaiba: In one hour, in the center of the Ring. So don't get too comfortable.

 

Kaiba quickly turned away and his cape followed behind him.

 

Ken: Well, let's make some friends shall we?

 

Damien: Freeze! Ken, I want a rematch! You only beat me last time by luck!

 

Ken: You still believe that load of sh--

 

Kaiba: I forgot to give you these. Your duel disks.

 

[Everyone bum rushes Kaiba for a disk.]

 

Kaiba: Don't forget to meet in the Ring. 56 minutes.

 

[Kaiba leaves again]

 

Damien: Anyways, Ken?

 

Ken & Damien: Let's duel!

 

Ken: 4000 LP

Damien: 4000 LP

 

Ken: I'll start things off. [draws a card] (IM)Decent hand. I summon my Gemini Elf in attack mode!

 

Gemini Elf:1900

 

Ken: I'll set two face-downs, and that'll do it for me.

 

Damien: That all? [draws a card] Sweet. I'll set a card of my own face-down and set this monster in face-down defensive position. It's your move, *sarcatically* Ken.

 

Ken: And I suppose you think your opening move was any better than mine? [draws a card] Awesome. First I'll activate my Black Pendant! It increases my Elf's ATK points by 500.

 

Gemini Elf: 2400

 

Ken: Then I'll summon my Mad Dog of Darkness in attack mode!

 

Mad Dog: 1900

 

Ken: Go Mad Dog! Destroy his face-down with Crazed Bite of Darkness! BOOM!

 

Damien: No surprise. Always with the offensive huh? You activated the effect of my Familiar Knight. It allows each of us to Special Summon one level four Warrior-Type monster from our hands.

 

Ken: Crap. I don't have one.

 

Damien: Too bad. I'll summon my Command Knight in defense mode.

 

Ken: It's still my battlephase, so I'll attack with my Gemini Elf! Go! Twin Spells!

 

Damien: No you don't! I activate my face-down card, Call of the Haunted! And I'll Special Summon my Familiar Knight! [suddenly a wall of swords prevents Gemin Elf from attacking]

 

Ken: What the hell? Oh, right. I can't attack Command Knight if you have another monster on the field.

 

Damien: Exactly. But that's not all. Thank's to Command Knight, all my Warrior monsters get a 400 point ATK boost!

 

Familiar Knight: 1800

Command Knight: 1600

 

Ken: You got lucky this time. I'll set this card face-down and call it a turn.

 

Damien: Finally. [draws a card and likes what he sees] (IM) Perfect. I can discard these cards from my hand to hopefully bring out my most powerful monster ahead of schedule. I activate my Spell Card, Cheerful Coffin! It allows me to discard up to three monsters from my hand to the Graveyard. [discards two monsters] Then I'll activate MY equip Spell card, Divine Sword Phoenix Blade! That gives my Familiar Knight another 300 point boost!

 

Familiar Knight: 2100 ATK

 

Damien:[ Lastly I'll play these two cards, Mystical Space Typhoon and Different Dimension Capsule! First I'll destroy your Black Pendant, and then I--

 

Damien: 3500 LP

 

Damien: What the? My Life Points! What happened?

 

Ken: Lost as usual huh Damien? You destroyed my BLack Pendant. My Gemini Elf may have lost her ATK bonus, but you lost 500 Life Points.

 

Damien: Ok, fine. Anyaways, my Different Dimesion Capsule allows me to remove any card in my deck from the game for two turns. Then I can retrieve it during my second stand-byphase. But for now, Famliar Knight, destory his Gemini Elf with Familiar Blade Slash! [Gemini Elf is destroyed]

 

Ken: Arrgh! (-200) 3800 LP

 

Damien: So much for your Gemini Elf.

 

Ken: Activate Trap! Chnthonian Blast! When one of my monsters is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, the monster on the fiel with the lowest ATK is destroyed, and we both lose Life Points equal to half of it's ATK points. [Command Knight is destroyed]

 

Damien: Unh! (-800) 2700 LP

Ken: Yow! (-800) 3000 LP

 

Damien: Aw man. My Familiar Knight loses ATK points.

 

Familiar Knight: 1700 ATK

 

Damien: Lucky for you, I'm ending my turn.

 

Ken: Okay, my turn. [draws a card] I'll activate my pot of Greed, which allows me to draw two cards from my deck! [draws two cards] Very nice. I'll set this card face-down. Then I'll tribute my Mad Dog of Darkness to summon my Summoned Skull, in attack mode!

 

Summoned Skull: 2500

 

Ken: Summoned Skull, attack his Familiar Knight with Skull Lightning! [Familiar Knight is destroyed]

 

Damien: Damn it! (-800) 1900 LP

 

Ken: That'll do it for me.

 

Damien: Grr. I draw! [draws a card] Since my card removed from play has been gone for two turns, I can now add it to my hand! (IM) Time for the ultimate payback! Now I shall remove one LIGHT and one DARK monster from my Graveyard, so that I may Special Summon my Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning!

 

Envoy: 3000 ATK

 

Ken: 3000 ATK?! That's strong!

 

Damien: Yes, but that's not the end. If you think he's strong now, wait until you see this! I activate my Spell card, Axe of Despair, giving my Soldier a 1000 point ATK boost!

 

Envoy: 4000 ATK

 

Ken: You planned this from the time you drew your Cheerful Coffin didn't you? That monster has the strength of Obelisk the Tormentor! It's off the charts!

 

Damien: This is where I finally claim victory! HAHAHAHAHA! YEAH!

Here is the second episode:

 

Chapter 2: A Legendary Duel

 

Damien: This is where I finally claim victory! HAHAHAHAHA!

 

Ken: We'll see!

 

Damien: Go, BLack Luster Soldier, attack his Summoned Skull with Twin Light Blade Slash!

 

Ken: Hmph (-1500) 1500LP

 

Damien: Now your Life Points are wide open! Now I'll activate my Soldier's Ability! When he destroys a monster in battle, he can attack again! Envoy, finish this duel!

 

Jai: Guess that means its over.

 

Ken: Looks like. . . . .you win. . . .urgh! (-4000) 0000LP

 

Final Result:

Damien: 2700 LP

Ken: 0000 LP

 

Ken: Okay, you won your little rematch. Guess that means we won't have to do this again huh? Hehe.

 

????: That was an amazing duel boys.

 

[Ken and Damien shake hands. Then they both sudenly look up in shock]

 

Damien: No way. Ken, check it out. Its uh, what's his name again? Um. . .?

 

Ken: Hm? No way. It's. . . it's you. . .

 

Jai: Yami-Yugi. Otherwise known as the King of Games or Yugi Moto.

 

Yami: You are partially correct. Yugi and I are no longer a team, for we have gone our separate ways. However, I will be partaking in the Ring, as I have a wager with Kaiba, for we--

 

Jai: Yami! Enough talk on how great you are. It doesn't matter what the deal on the Ring is or what bet you made with Seto. Let's duel!

 

Yami: Hm. Then let's see how great you are, Jai. Let's duel!

 

Jai: And exactly how do you know my name?

 

Yami: Mmhm. Seto has told me all about you. Your name, where you are from, and even when he ad--

[alarm blares in the distance]

 

Jai: What the hell is that?

 

Yami: We have aproximately 30 minutes before the Grand Opening of the Duelist Ring. We must move swiftly. Let us begin.

 

Ken: You sure about this bro?

 

Jai: Yeah. I'm sure.

 

Yami: This should be interesting. I'll begin. [draws a card] Have you seen any of my duels? If so than this move should seem familiar. If not, well then you may appear shocked. I'll start by discarding one card from my hand in order to Special Summon this monster, The Tricky!

 

Tricky: 2000 ATK

 

Damien: What an opening move. I've seen it somewhere. . .

 

BONK!

 

Ken: For God's sake! It's Yami-freakin-Yugi! You've probably seen it everywhere!

 

Yami: I'lll then set these two cards face-down and Summon my Queen's Knight! That will be all for now.

 

Tricky: 2000 ATK

Queen's Knight: 1500 ATK

 

Jai: Not bad for an opening move. And by the way, just because Seto told you about me, doesn't mean you know me or my Deck. [draws a card] (Internal Monologue (Will be henceforth abbreviated as IM, which means "thinking")) This isn't a bad hand. I'd better play smart though. (End IM) I'll set these THREE cards face-down. Now I'll set this monster in face-down defense position. I end my turn.

 

Yami: Hm. [draws a card] Excellent. I Summon my King's Knight, in attack mode! And, thanks to my Knight's Special Ability, should I summon him while Queen's Knight is on the field, I'm allowed to Special Summon my Jack's Knight from my deck. Come forth, Jack's Knight!

 

Queen's Knight: 1500 ATK

King's Knight: 1600 ATK

Jack's Knight: 1900 ATK

The Tricky: 2000 ATK

 

Ken: Yikes. Jai may be in trouble here. Yami's got four monsters and Jai only has one! (IM) Hang in there big brother. (End IM)

 

Yami: Looks like you may be in a tight spot, Jai. Allow me to relieve you of your monsters. Go, Jack's Knight, attack his face-down monster with Jack's Knight Blade!

 

[Jai's face-down monster is destroyed]

 

Jai: You've attacked my face-down monster, Masked Dragon. Thanks to you, I can now Special Summon a Dragon-Type monster from my deck as long as it has an ATK of 1500 or less. So I think I'll summon my Armed Dragon Lvl 3!

 

Armed Dragon: 1200 ATK

 

Yami: Well then. Let's see how well your Dragon can sunstain damage against my King's Knight. Go! King Blade Slash!

 

Jai: Activate Trap! Negate Attack! This trap will stop your monster in it's tracks AND end your battlephase!

 

Yami: (IM) He's better than even when Kaiba described him. (End IM) In that case, I shall end my turn.

 

Jai: That means it's my turn! [draws a card] Okay! Armed Dragon Lvl 3, transform! Form, Armed Dragon Lvl 5!

 

Yami: What?! That mear Dragon in it's weakest state can form a monster of that caliber? Well. I must admit I'm slightly stupified and dumbfounded. Explain.

 

Damien: Say what?

 

Ken: He's a little confused and slightly lost in the duel. Which is what you are like in real life. (chuckles)

 

Damien: You little--!

 

Jai: It's quite simple really. See, when my Armed Dragon is on the field for at least one player's turn, and I am able to enter my Stand-by phase successfully with it remaining on the field, it gives him time to enter his second form, Armed Dragon Lvl 5! And on another plus side, my Armed Dragon now has more than enough power to stop your Knights!

 

Armed Dragon Lvl 5: 2400 ATK

 

King's Knight: 1600 ATK

Jack's Knight: 1900 ATK

Queen's Knight: 1500 ATK

The Tricky: 2000 ATK

 

Yami: It appears you are correct, however, you can attack only one mof my monsters. So choose wisely.

 

Jai: Thanks for the heads up! Armed Dragon, attack The Tricky with Armed Dragon Swipe! [The Tricky is destroyed]

 

Yami: Ah! (-400) 3600

 

Jai: And before I end my turn, I'll activate a Spell Card, Future Fusion! I'll send my three Blue-Eyes White Dragons from my Deck to the Graveyard. And in two turns, you will be properly introduced to one of my most powerful Dragon monsters! If you can last. It's your move.

 

Yami: I believe that's my line. [draws a card] While we wait 2 turns for your monster, why don't we introduce my monster right now. I hold in my hand one of the most powerful monsters ever created in Duel Monsters. I offer my Jack's Knight, King's Knight, and Queen's Knight! I summon, my Obelisk the Tormentor, in attack mode!

 

Damien: No way! It's barely been 4 turns and already he's managed to put Jai in a corner and summon his most powerful monster! Jai's in some serious mess.

 

Ken: Hey!! Have a little faith in my brother will ya?! Common Jai! It's only Obelisk the Tormentor! I don't care if it is an all-powerful monster that's nearly unbeatable! Crush it!

 

[Alarm Blaring once more]

 

Jai: Thanks little bro. I think. . .

 

Can Jai possibly overcome the power of an Egyptian God card? It may have been done before, but can he recreate that act? Find out in the next episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Rumble Ring of Duelists! Chapter 3-Survival of the Fittest

 

Damien: No way! It's barely been 4 turns and he's already managed to put Jai in a corner and summon his most powerful monster! Jai's in some serious mess.

 

Ken: Hey!! Have a little faith in my brother will ya?! Common Jai! It's only Obelisk the Tormentor!

 

[Alarm Blares once more]

 

Jai: Thanks little bro. I think. . . (IM) Damn it! I wasn't expecting to see Obelisk for at least one more turn! Guess I'll have to speed up the process of my Future Fusion. (End IM)

 

Yami: Obelisk, attack his Armed Dragon with Fists of Fury!

 

Jai: I hope this works! Go, Interdimensional Transporter! [Armed Dragon dissapears]

 

Yami: What? Obelisk missed!

 

Jai: I've managed to save my Armed Dragon for 1 turn by Teleporting it to another dimension with my Trap Card!

 

Yami: That won't save you from Obelisk's wrath! Before I end my turn, I'll activate my Trap Card, Secret Barrell. You'll now lose 200 points for each card on your side of the field and in your hand. I count a total of 5 cards. So you lose 1000 Life Points!

 

[5 shots sound off and each hits Jai once]

 

Jai: Ugh! (-1000) 3000 LP

 

Yami: I'll end my turn. It's your move.

 

Jai: Sweet. That means my Armed Dragon returns to my side of the field! [draws a card and Armed Dragon returns] You should be proud Yami. You are the second person to be able to witness my Armed Dragon's 3rd transformation! Common out, Armed Dragon Lvl 7!

 

Armed Dragon Lvl 7: 2800 ATK / 1000 DEF

 

Ken: Awesome! He hasn't done that in a while!

 

Jai: But don't blink! He won't be here long! I'm going to now Tribute my Armed Dragon Lvl 7 to Summon my Armed Dragon Lvl 10, in ATK mode!

 

Armed Dragon Lvl 10: 3000 ATK

 

Yami: Sorry Jai. But your Dragon is just a few points short of defeating Obelisk.

 

Jai: Well Yami, you are right. But it won't be my Armed Dragon who will bring down your Obelisk. I activate my Spell Card, Premature Burial! I'll pay 800 Life Points to revive my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!

 

Jai: (-800) 2600 LP

 

Blue-Eyes: 3000 ATK

 

Jai: Now let's see. Your God cards are unaffected by Trap Cards that directly target them, but Spells can affect them for one turn right?

 

Yami: Maybe. . . .

 

[Footsteps suddenly approach behind Ken and Damien]

 

Steven: Guys, guys!

 

Ken: Steven? Where have you been?

 

Steven: I snuck off with Kaiba. He didn't seem to mind so I stayed a while. But that doesn't matter now. The ring will start in 20 minutes! So you guys have to--what the hell?!

 

Damien: What? What's wrong?

 

Steven: Kaiba only sent Yami down here to give you guys the message on rules and tell you to meet at the Center of the Ring. The next thing I know I find him down here in a duel?! And with Obelisk on the field!! He knows he shouldn't be doing that!

 

Jai: I activate my Spell Card, Burst Stream of Destruction! It will ellimenate your Obelisk for now! Go, Blue-Eyes, Burst Stream!

 

[Obelisk dissapears in a haze of white light]

 

Jai: Now, Armed Dragon, attack him directly with Super Dragon Swipe!

 

Yami: Go, Shrink! Urgh! (-1500) 2100 LP

 

Jai: What the? My dragon lost some of its power!

 

Yami: Thanks to my Shrink Spell Card, your dragon only inflicted half of the damage that it normally would.

 

Jai: Lucky you! I'll set this card and I'll end my turn.

 

Steven: What a save! For a second I thought Yami was done for.

 

Damien: Not a chance. He is the King of Game's after all.

 

Yami: That means its my turn. [draws a card] Now Obelisk shall return to my side of the field.

 

Obelisk: 4000 ATK

 

Yami: I think that now I will revive some monsters of my own. First I activate my Trap Card, Call of the Haunted! And I will revive my Jack's Knight! Secondly, I activate my Monster Reborn, to retrieve one of YOUR Blue-Eyes White Dragons! And finally I activate my last face-down card, MY Premature Burial. And I shall pay 800 of my Life Points to revive my King's Knight!

 

Yami: (-800) 1300 LP

 

Yami: Now, prepare to witness the second most powerful God Card! I offer the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Jack's Knight, and King's Knight to Summon my Winged Dragon of Ra! Now MY dragon has a total of 6100 ATK points!

 

Ra: 6100 ATK

 

Yami: Now, Winged Draogn of Ra, attack his Blue-Eyes with Searing Golden Flames!

 

Ken: No! If this attack succeeds, Jai will lose!

 

Jai: Activate Trap! Rising Energy! I'll increase my Blue-Eyes ATK points by 1500 by discarding one card! [discards a Trap Card] So I won't be losing anytime soon!

 

Jai: (-1400) 1200 LP

 

Yami: You've managed to save yourself once again Jai, from the wraths of the Gods! I'll spare you for now. I'll set these two cards and end my turn.

 

Steven: Phew! That was all too close!

 

Jai: Time to end this. [draws a card and likes what he sees] I can now reveal to you my second most powerful Dragon, my Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!

 

BEUD: 4500 ATK

 

Jai: But that's only half of your problem! I activate my Spell card, Polymerization! I'll now fuse my Blue-Eyes- Ultimate Dragon with my Black Luster Soldier that I hold in my hand to Summon, my Dragon Master Knight! It ends here! I set one card face-down end my turn by switching Armed Dragon to DEF mode.

 

Dragon Master: 5500 ATK

 

Yami: [draws a card] I activate my Trap Card Graverobber! Now I shall steal a Trap card from your Graveyard! What? You discarded Call of the Haunted? I think I'll activate it now! So I pay half of my Life Points, and activate Call of the Haunted!

 

Yami: 650 LP

 

Yami: And I shall revive my Dark Magician! Since it was discarded from my hand at the beginning of the Duel, I am able to revive him. I will NOT lose to you, and especially not to a monster that I own as well! I activate Obelisk's Special Ability! I offer my Winged Dragon of Ra and my Dark Magicican to make his ATK points infinite until the end of the turn. That will be more than enough time to finsih this duel!

 

Obelisk: INF ATK

 

Steven: Holy crap! He didn't! He did! It's all over! Yami is going to win!

 

Jai: I won't lose like this! I activate my Trap Card, Metalmorph! That will increase my Dragon Master Knight's ATK points by 300 points, AND he will gain half of Obelisk's ATK points when he is attacked!

 

Yami: We shall see if your Dragon Master can surpass the God's! Obelisk! Attack with Divine Wrath-Fists of Fury!

 

Dragon Mster Knight: INF ATK

Obelisk: INF ATK

 

Jai: Since infinite ATK points can't be cut in half, my monster has just as much strength as Obelisk! Dragon Master Knight, counter attack!

 

Damien: *super gasp*

 

Ken: Jai!!!

 

Steven: End it now!

 

EXPLOSION!!!!!

 

Final Result:

Yami: 0000 LP

Jai: 0000 LP

 

Yami: Hm? How did I manage to lose the rest of my Life Points?

 

Jai: I activated my Ring of Destruction at the last minute.

 

Yami: On Obelisk? Impossible!

 

Jai: Not on Obelisk, on my Dragon Master Knight. I knew I couldn't win, so I decided to take you down with me. HA!

 

Yami: Risky. But not bad. When Kaiba mentioned you he said you were off your nut, but I didn't think he meant it.

 

Jai: Touche.

 

[They shake hands and begin walking to the Center of the Ring when suddenly. . . .]

 

[More footsteps approaching]

 

??????: Awesome!!!

 

Jai: Hm? Who are you?

 

??????: Sorry about that. i was hiding from a distance watching you guys duel. I'm Skyler.

 

Yami: Nice to see you again Skyler.

 

Skyler: Again? What do you mean?

 

Yami: Well, you know it's somewhat easy to spot your Blond hair in the mist of all this greenery. . . .

 

Skyler: (laughs) Anyways, nice to meet you too Yami. I already know your name. But what about you guys?

 

Jai: Well, I'm Jai. I love Dragon Monsters. This here is my little brother, Ken.

 

Ken: Hi.

 

Jai: And this is Steven and Damien: Our two best friends.

 

Steven: 'Sup

 

Damien: How's it going?

Jai: We'd better head to the Center. The Ring starts in. . . [looks at watch]. . . Holy crap, 5 minutes! We gotta go! Wanna come with?

 

Skyler: Nah. but maybe i can hook up with you guys later and we can go from there. But first, I wanna take on some other duelists!

 

Steven: Mind if I join you? These guys can hold thier own without me.

 

Skyler: Why not?

 

Yami: I must be off as well. Kaiba will be expecting me. Jai! I hope to see you in the finals! Don't let me down!

 

Jai: You can count on it!

 

[A sudden gust appears and Yami quickly grabs hold of a rope ladder dangling from that of a Kaiba Corp Helicopter]

So, our heroes are now racing towards the Center of the Ring where they will meet some of the best duelists around! With new friends made, and new experiences to share, learn, and grow from, will they be able to conquer that which is the Ring? A.N.(Author's Note): Just so you guys know, I know that some of the card effects are incorrect, bit I changed them a bit to heighten the story. These A.N.s may appear every now and then, especially when I don't know the name of an attack when a monster attacks. E.x.: Winged Dragon of Ra: Golden Searing Flames? That doesn't even sound remotely correct! lol

Thanks Bloodrun. I saw the "History of your username thread" and your reply was cool. Anyway not to get off topic, i will post chapter 4 VERY soon. EDIT (HERE IT IS!):

 

Chapter 4: The Rising of a Raging Rival

[A.N.] I try to post a few short sentences from the previous chapters as I post new ones. Do you guys think I should continue doing so or not?

 

 

Yami: I must be off. Kaiba will be expecting me. Jai! I hope to see you in the finals! Don't let me down!

 

Jai: You can count on it!

 

[A sudden gust appears and Yami quickly grabs hold of a rope ladder dangling to that of a Kaiba Corp Helicopter]

 

[5 minutes later. . . .]

 

Ken: We made it!

 

Jai: Well, where the hell is Kaiba?

 

Damien: I don't know. But that is one big t.v.

 

Jai: That's just like him. Before he found me and Ken, we hardly knew what t.v. was. But we can discuss that later. Where IS he?!

 

Ken: There!

 

[As they begin to gaze upwards, Kaiba and Yami are being lowered to the Upper Ring (a large column in the Center of the Center (lol))]

 

Kaiba: Greetings all duelists!

 

[speaking through a megaphone the size of who-knows-what, Kaiba's voice boomed like no others]

 

Kaiba: You have been gathere here to MY Dueling Ring to test your skills as you are the best of the best! But enough about the Ring. Let's discuss the dueling. As I'm sure you are all aware, your Duel Disks have been set to 4000 Life Points. This will be the amount played by BEFORE you get to the Finals, should any of you make it. As each of you achieve 5 wins, you will be lowered to the second floor of the Ring! There are 4 floors. You will begin here on the top of the island in the Center! When you achieve 5 wins, your duel disk will buzz. Should you aquire 3 losses. You will be sent to the Ring House Campus. You will be able to view duels of your choices, and duel against others that have aquired losses and have been sent to the Ring House. However, you will not be allowed inside the Final Ring Stadium until the Finals begin.

 

Ken: Does he ever shut up?

 

Kaiba: Finally, as you advance to each floor, your wins and losses will reset! Therefore you have opportunities to redeem yourself. But before we begin, allow me to introduce to you, the King of Games, Yami! And, to add to our amusement, my newly adopted brothers. Jai and Kenai!

 

[He pointed to Jai and Ken as the crowd stared]

 

Ken: He said my whole name!

 

Kaiba: yes they are my brothers and I ahve raised and taught them every thing I know. So don't let there apperances fool you! Let the Games begin!

 

[The duelists scattered, all except for Skyler, Steven, and the rest of the gang]

 

Jai: Son of a gun! Grr. No time to get upset now. Which way Ken?

 

Ken: Let's head to the east side.

 

Jai: Okay. Common Damien. Damien?

 

Damien: Huh? Oh sorry. I was talking to a friend, he's right--? Where'd he go?

 

Jai: We'll catch up to this "friend" later. Common. Time to kick some serious ass.

 

Steven: We'll catch up to you guys on the second floor. See you then!

 

Skyler: Right.

 

[Meanwhile. . . .]

 

Skyler: Hmm. There's someone. Let's duel him!

 

Steven: I've got a better idea. How about you duel him, and I catch the next one?

 

Skyler: Sure. Hey, guy!

 

????: Yes?

 

[He was a tall burly, muscular type of guy. Deep voiced, and sort of scary looking]

 

Skyler: Wanna duel?

 

????: Sure. But first, what's your name?

 

Skyler: I'm Skyler. But you can call me Sky.

 

????: I'm Bruno. I'm a Rock duelist!

 

Skyler: Well Bruno. Ready for your Rocks to meet the blade of my Warriors?

 

Bruno & Skyler: Duel!

 

Bruno: Since YOU challenged ME, I'll start things off. [draws a card] Here we go. I'll set these two cards face-down. Next I'll set this monster into face-down defense position. Your turn.

 

Skyler: Okay, I draw! [draws a card] Sweet! I'll summon one of my favorite monsters, my Queen's Knight, in attack position!

 

Queen's Knight: 1500 ATK

 

Skyler: Next I'll set this card face-down. Now, Queen's Knight, attack his face-down! [bruno's face-down is destroyed]

 

Bruno: You attacked my Medusa Worm! Since he' going to the Graveyard, I'll activate his effect. I'm gonna destroy your Queen's Knight!

 

Skyler: Say what?! [Queen's Knight is Crushed by Medusa Worm]

 

Skyler: Not bad. I'll set this card and end my turn.

 

Bruno: Okay. [draws a card] (IM) Hmm. My Mine Golem! I can do some serious damage with this! (End IM) I'll set this monster into face-down defense position as well. That'll do it for me.

 

Skyler: Playing defense huh? [draws a card] i activate my Spell Card, Premature Burial! I'll pay 800 Life Points to revive my Queen's Knight!

 

Skyler: (-800) 3200 LP

 

Skyler: Now I'll summon my King's Knight, in attack mode! (IM) thanks for that Yami, awesome strategy. (End IM) That will allow me to Special Summon my Jack's Knight From my Deck!

 

King's Knight: 1600 ATK

Queen's Knight: 1500 ATK

Jack's Knight: 1900 ATK

 

Skyler: Now I'll activate this Trap Card, Rising Energy! That will give my Queen's Knight a super boost until the end of my turn, and you'll be seeing that move quite often!

 

Queen's Knight: 3000 ATK

 

Skyler: Go my Queen, attack with Queen Blade Slash! [bruno's face-down is once again destroyed]

 

KABLOOM!

 

Sky: (-500) 2700 LP

 

Skyler: What the hell? Why'd I lose Life Points?

 

Bruno: You attacked my face-down monster, Mine Golem. When he was destroyed, his inner core exploded and inflicted damage to your Life Points! That'll teach you to destroy my monsters!

 

Skyler: (IM) I can't keep losing Life Points like this. I've gotta play it smart. (End IM) Now it's your turn to lose some Life Points! King's Knight, attack with King Blade Slash!

 

Bruno: Ahh! (-1500) 2500 LP

 

Skyler: Okay!! Jack's Knight, finish it up with Jack Blade Slash!

 

Bruno: Woargh! (-1900) 600 LP

 

Skyler: How'd you like that?!

 

Bruno: Very much thank you! You've triggerd my Trap Card! Begone Knave! Since your King and Jack's Knights inflicted damage to my Life Points, they return to your hand! And since your turn is over, your Queen's Knight loses her point boost!

 

Skyler: You got lucky this time. I'll set this card and end my turn!

 

Bruno: Guess that means I'm up. [draws a card] (IM) I only need one more monster card and I can end this duel. (End IM) I activate my Trap Card, Call of the Haunted! I'll return my Mine Golem to the Field! Now I'll activate my Spell Card, Card of Safe Return, which allows me to draw a card each time I Special Summon a monster from my Graveyard! And Finally, Solemn Wishes, which increases my Life Points by 500 points each time I draw a card! I offer my Mine Golem to Summon my Criosphinx in defense mode!

 

Crios Sphinx: 2400 DEF

 

Bruno: Now I activate Pot of Greed, allowing me to draw two cards from my Deck. That means my Solemn Wishes Trap Card kicks in! I gain 1000 Life Points!

 

Bruno: (+1000) 1600 LP

 

Bruno: Your move!

 

Steven: (IM) This is more intense than I thought it would be. (End IM)

 

Skyler: I draw. [draws a card] I think I'll summon this monster, Hayabusa Knight! He can attack twice during my battlephase. I'll switch my Queen in to defense position and st this card. Go.

 

Bruno: That was fast. [draws a card and likes what he sees] Looks like I gain another 500 Life Points!

 

Bruno: (+500) 2100 LP

 

Bruno: (IM) Finally! I drew my Cyber-Jar! He won't be expecting this! (End IM) I set this monster in face-down defense mode. Your turn.

 

Skyler: Alrighty then. [draws a card] (IM) He's got three face-up continuous cards and no face-downs. I can take advantage of this (End IM) I offer my Hayabusa Knight to Summon my Jack's Knight, in attack mode! Jack's Knight, attack his face-down Jack Blade Slash! [Cyber-Jar reveals itself and sucks up evey monster on the field]

 

Skyler: What? My monsters!

 

Bruno: Thanks to you and my Cyber-Jar, I aws able to destroy every monster on the field. When Cyber-Jar is destroyed, he destroys all monsters on the field,then we each get to draw 5 cards. Which means I gain more Life Points! [draws 5 cards]

 

Bruno: (+2500) 4600 LP

 

Skyler: Not a problem for me. [draws 5 cards]

 

Bruno: Cyber-Jar has more than 2 effects, it has 3! After we draw our 5 cards, we Special Summon all lvl 4 or lower monsters in fac-up attack or defense mode, or face-down defense mode! So I'll set these three monsters!

 

Skyler: Awesome. I summon my King's Knight, Blade Knight, Command Knight, and Insect Knights all in attack mode! (IM) He set me up. Son of a gun. He's good. (End IM) Your turn.

 

Bruno: That menas I gain another 500 Life Points! [draws a card]

 

Bruno: (+500) 5100

 

Steven: At this rate he'll never lose Life Points!

 

Bruno: I activate my Spell Card, Card Destruction! I'm sure you know what it does? We both discard our hands and draw the same number of cards that we discarded. [draws 3 cards]

 

Bruno: (+1500) 6600 LP

 

Skyler: This is nuts! [draws 2 cards]

 

Bruno: (IM) I finally drew it! My Megarock Dragon! (End IM) It's all over for you! I'll remove 5 Rock-Type monsters in my Graveyard and Special Summon my Megarock Dragon! And for each Rock-Type monster I remove in Graveyard, he gains 1000 ATK points!

 

Megarock: 5000 ATK

 

Steven: Holy sh--

 

Skyler: No way!! (IM) I've gotta find a way to stop that thing!!! (End IM)
