OOC: I guess I get to design Augemormon then.

 

Lucemon stopped in midair, frowning. 'The holy digi-memory isn't reacting, if it were it would be in Celestua, the signal is growing weaker the closer we get' he realized. Duke remained silent from Ogudumon's remarks. 'You could call Ogudomon, he would know' Duke said quietly. 'I loathe reporting to him for everything, I will find it personally, but first, there is some housekeeping' Lucemon replied and turned around, heading back in the opposite direction.

The DigiMemory let out one last pulse of energy that Lucemon only barely noticed, something that would not happen if the Holy DigiMemory was the active one at the same time Karatenmon let out a slow sigh, and the DigiMemory went inert again "Sensei." The karasu said quietly "Where are you?" He slowly opened his eyes and stood back up "Celestus, never thought I'd be here without a pair of handcuffs and a Knightmon's sword jammed into my back."

Lucemon stopped again. 'The digi-memory is inactive, so the holy memory wasn't it' he remarked. He released Duke, who floated in the air. The angel folded his arms and closed his eyes, idly nodding his head side to side. 'That Karatenmon, something seemed off about him' Lucemon muttered. 'What are digi-memories?' Duke inquired. 'To put it simply, the general powers of this world, they symbolize each of the eight digimon families, however, some families are not represented, such as the dark area, or d-reaper families. For instance, the dark memory symbolizes the nightmare soldiers family, whilst the machine memory symbolizes the metal empire family' he explained. 'So what does that make you?' Duke inquired. 'I go under three families, nightmare soldiers and dark area, or, to some people, the virus busters, which is the holy memory family' Lucemon answered. 'Could a digi-memory hide in a digimon?' Duke inquired. 'It is possible, it has happened before, for the original memories existed in certain digimon whose power far excelled those of the same family. However, they had been extracted from the digimon and used to make the mighty NEO. However, NEO had been defeated and the memories scattered to the different territories, Ogudomon's recent activities is what caused them to reactivate in the first place'. 'So, could the Karatenmon possess the memory within him?' Duke wondered. 'Possibly, the memories in dire need can hide themselves within digimon of their family, it wouldn't surprise me if the bird memory was hidden within him'.

Lucemon had disspeared along with Duskmon, and Karatenmon had flown back the way he came. Valdurmon had yet to de-digivolve and was flying around Celestus.

"Yasyamon did you feel that before?" The large bird asked his passenger.

"You mean that weak pulse?" Yasyamon asked, "I only felt it for a second, I thought you were getting angry again."

"No I remember that feeling from when I was a Demon Lord." Valdurmon replied, "Its was the activation of a digi-memory. I have no idea where it was, or went. Or how it deactivated."

"So that would explain the sudden dissappearence of Lucemon." Sam spoke quietly, "We should probably go find the 'prisoners' that were taken."

Yasyamon sighed. He had been doing that alot since he had started out with Sam. "Are you sure, if we find them we'll be captured aswell?" Valdurmon turned in a wide arc, both he and Yasyamon had started looking around.

"Ok you two hold on, I'm going to start flying faster. We'll cover moreground and maybe they will find us."

"Alright, works for me." Vincent said.

"Yeah, a chance to stretch my legs, among other things." BlackGuilmon agreed before being surrounded by data.

He emerged in the form of ChaosGallantmon, though the symbol of Gluttony still glowed on his right shoulder. Picking up Vincent, he placed him on his shouder before leaving the headquarters, heading towards where he could sense Lucemon was.

((8 DigiMemories BH, not 10... Or do I need to make more swords? And judging by NEXT, there seems to be a 38% chance that a DigiMemory is concealed in a Digimon, but I'll allow the change))

 

Karatenmon sighed and looked up, "Please don't tell me they figured it out..." He muttered, strapping his swords back onto his waist. He noticed that the trio was flying away from him and cursed under his breath "You gotta be kidding me. They're actually gonna leave me alone with the Demon Lord of Pride and his little pet? HELL NO!" With that he leaped into the air and, with visible effort and the pulse of an awakening DigiMemory, caught up to Valdurmon and landed on his back. He assumed his Meditation form and quietly said his chant until the Bird DigiMemory deactivated itself.

 

Kapurimon was still looking for a playmate

Sam and Yasyamon were staring forwards trying to find any sign of their former group. Valdurmon had been changing course rapidly to try and cover as much area as possible.

Eventually he slowed and spoke, "Hello again Karatenmon." He said.

His passengers were clearly confused, "No Valdurmon," Sam said, "Both him and us left the area when Lucemon disappeared." Yasyamon's ears twitched a little and he turned towards Valdurmon's tail. Shocked at the sight of a black bird sitting close by he tapped Sam on the shoulder.

"No, I think we picked up a hitch hiker." He told the human.

"Oh Karatenmon. Sorry did you want to come with us?"

"No." Valdurmon said, "He is looking for protection. Firstly he wouldn't stand a chance against both Lucemon and the Spirit of Corruption." He left a slight pause, "And when you hold a DigiMemory, you're slightly more of a target."

 

((Sure why not. Which ones are still inactive though? I can't remember.))

As Sam's group attempted to flee, ChaosGallantmon suddenly appeared in the air infront of them, his arms crossed as he simply hovered in front of them.

"I'd say we've found our targets." Vincent said from his partner's shoulder.

"Yeah...though weren't they supposed to be fighting Lucemon? I don't see him around..." ChaosGallantmon wondered out loud.

"I'm betting these guys are trying to run away. Let's hold them here until Lucemon catches up." Vincent said with a chuckle.

"Works for me." ChaosGallantmon said, raising his right arm and holding his left at his side, both arms forming into his signature weapons, the Balmung Lance and Gorgon Shield.

"He'd better get here fast, if he wants any leftovers. Chaos Crusher!" ChaosGallantmon's lance became charged with dark energy as he pointed it at Valdurmon, unleashing the bolt of energy at the Holy bird.

"Purge Shine." Valdurmon said obviously tired of using the attack. "Come on. Don't you evil doers ever get bored of Attack this. Attack that.? Especially when I have an impenitrable shield ." He waited for ChaosGallantmon's reaction. "Or did Ogudomon forget to tell you that us Valdurmon have the ability to negate evil?"

"Hey Vincent. Long time no see." Sam shouted from Valdurmon's back, "I see you're still using that outdated Chaos digimon."

"Hey," Yasyamon whispered to Sam, "Why do I feel like I know that ChaosGallantmon?"

"Ha. It is because you have felt his source of power before." Valdurmon told Yasyamon, "He feels like Beelzemon. Its the Seal of Gluttony you are feeling."

"Outdated?" ChaosGallantmon said, sounding deeply annoyed.

"Don't let him get to you buddy." Vincent said before looking across at Sam, "The best around can never be outdated, learn that lesson well. As for 'Attack this, attack that', Ogudomon gave us the option of sleeping, but we got bored so we decided to come out and play. Anyway, if you're so certain that my pal here's outdated, we'll show you our newest update."

Vincent took out his Digivice, pressing hte button on the side as ChaosGallantmon was surrounded by streams of data.

"ChaosGallantmon, Dark Slide Digivolve to-"

The streams of data around ChaosGallantmon quickly began to turn black and red in place of white and blue. Suddenly the data burst apart as a pair of burning red wings spread out, revealing-

"Megidramon!"

The giant armored dragon bared it's teeth in a menacing grin as it looked across at Valdurmon.

"Here's out new power, this is what Gluttony gave us. Crush 'em." Vincent said, pointing at the Holy Bird.

"With Pleasure!" Megidramon yelled, rushing through the sky towards Valdurmon.

As he neared the Holy bird, he stopped mid-air, reaching his long armored tail around to grab one of Valdurmon's feet to hold him in place while at the same time raising his arm up and swinging the long golden blade down on the bird's head.

Lucemon and Duke returned to the original scene, with the amusing scene between ChaosGallantmon. 'So, that little lizard was selected as the new holder of gluttony' he remarked. 'Is that a good thing?' Duke inquired. 'No, not really. The power of the seal is strongest in the hands of the original owner, and we need the original owner alive to release the true power of the seal' he answered. They continued to watch the battle, until Megidramon's final attack. 'Wait here until the right moment' Lucemon ordered, releasing Duke. His image flickered and vanished, appearing between Megidramon and Valdurmon. He raised his hand and caught the blade. Despite his own stature, he wasn't struggling in stopping Megidramon.

Karatenmon's Bird DigiMemory appeared in the horn on his head and the symbol flashed in the sky "Duskmon, your ass is mine." He said, crossing his swords in front of him and gliding off Valdurmon in an impossibly smooth motion, even for bird Digimon like himself, "Taste the power of my Crow Swords!" He shouted, sky blue energy flooding into the swords as he sliced them down and to either side, so that his arms stopped at a forty five degree angle compared to his sides.

OOC: I guess you should send me Augemormon's design.

 

Duke was watching from a distance away, expecting something like an explosion or something. 'Erm, is something going to happen?' he inquired loudly, so the bird could hear him. Lucemon, meanwhile held onto the blade, until he pushed forward, throwing Megidramon a short distance away. 'No Megidramon, I am afaid that that isn't going to happen' he announced coldly, folding his arms to watch what either of them will do.

"I know why you are doing this Lucemon. But you shouldn't have." Valdurmon said, "You will regret it in the future." He was about to fly straight through Lucemon, when Sam said something to him.

"You can't leave yet. Karatenmon's jumped ship." sam told his partner.

"What are you doing you stupid bird? We're leaving, hurry up." Yasyamon was shouting at the top of his lungs to try and get the black bird digimon back, "You can finish this another time."

 

((Hey Blackstone, which of the digimemories are still inactive. I'm trying to think, but I'm not sure.))

OOC: Bird, Holy and Fish

 

'If I regretted everything I had done, I would live my life in fear of being sealed within the dark area again, but that wouldn't matter, the dark god would release me as swiftly as I was put there. Also, I warn you now, don't underestimate me, you may possess a new form, but your heart is still stained black. Do not think that you are as immune to evil as you might think, you will regret it' Lucemon warned and vanished, appearing behind Duke. 'I will leave you to fight Karatenmon, do not beat him to harshly, we need to extract his digimemory' he warned and departed a distance away.

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Fine" Karatenmon said, letting out a roar of effort and the symbol of the Bird appeared beneath them, whisking them away as blinding speed. They eventually stopped half a dizzying minute later a few miles above a large forest of trees "The home of the Bird DigiMemory, and my personal sanctuary." He once again reverted into his Meditation form and the Bird DigiMemory symbol vanished from beneath them

"Oh," Yasyamon said, holding his stomach, "That was a strange experience."

"What?" Valdurmon said said jokingly, "You mean to say, you have never travelled at super speed on the back of a giant bird?"

"You're not funny."

Sam had left them to their bickering and walked as far along Valdurmon's back as he could towards Karatenmon. "Thank You. Though this isn't quite what we had in mind. Sorry if we took you away from your battle."

Valdurmon had stopped making jibes to Yasyamon and now everyone was quiet. He closed his eyes as if to sleep, but stayed in the air. "This place feels very familiar. The home of the bird digimemory you say? hmm," He opened his eyes and thought for a second, "I have never been here and yet it feels like a home to me."

"That's because your secondary Champion, Ultimate, and Mega forms are Birds." He said sagely, "Every one of us feels at home in this forest. This is where I trained night and day to suppress my Virus nature. This forest knows me, it trusts me, and, by extension, the three of you." He gestured around him "You shall not be harmed as long as you stay here. I was hoping to show this to Sensei, but, since he's been arrested with the rest of the DigiMarines, this will serve as a good base for now until we calculate our next move."

Valdurmon dedigivolved into Impmon and as he, Yasyamon and Sam fell. Sam used his digisoul to create another platform for them to stand on. Impmon flexed his arms, he liked being a bird but he didn't think he could keep the wings forever.

Yasyamon stepped forwards and asked the first question, "Sensei? Who is your Sensei?".

Sam did the same, but asked a different one, "What do you mean our next move? And does this mean you know why the marines and civilians from the Defeaning Silence were captured?"

"You two. Calm down. Let the bird man think." Impmon told his friends as he layed down, "Maybe when he's ready he'll tell us."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Sensei Valkyrimon, the Admiral of the DigMarines fleet." Karatenmon told Yasyamon, "He's the only one to have ever beaten my Fury Mode." He said, remembering "He was impressed with my strength so he took me in as his student, along with his daughter D'Arcmon." He smiled at the name "As soon as the Demon Lords took power, he forbade me from entering active combat and instead told me to seek inner peace here until I had fully tamed Fury Mode." He then turned to Sam "Did you really think I'm going to let Sensei and Miss D'Arcmon get arrested unlawfully without breaking them out? And no, I do not. I only know what Kapurimon tells me." As he spoke, a tiny fuzzy ball with a helmet plopped out of the sky to land on Sam's head "And he tells me that the Silence is completely empty right now." He finally regarded Impmon "Do not take that form." He commanded "My being here guarantees their freedom since Sam's human and Yasyamon has no choice but to be earthbound. Your protection is only guaranteed as a Bird Digimon." He slowly shook his head at the Garudamon and Silphymon that were sneaking up behind the ex-Demon Lord "Given your history, I'm sorry but I couldn't get the forest to protect you no matter what."

Sam pointed his digivice at Impmon who, still laying on the floor, digivolved into Nohemon. The crow on Nohemon pulled his arm up into the air.

"Blah. Blah. Blah." It said in a strangley deep voice, without turning its body the head of Nohemon's crow turned slowly and looked at the approaching digimon. "And what the hell are you two looking at. Go on! GET!" He let the arm fall slowly back down and it bent so that it stood up like a perch.

"Hmm. I remember hearing of him, definatley a powerful warrior." Yasyamon mused, "It would make sense that your Sensei be another anthropomorphic bird."

"Haha. Don't tell me your, grandfather was a Ravemon?" Sam chuckled, Yasyamon poked him in the head. He was careful not to hit the Kapurimon on Sam's head. "Ow. I was just making a joke."

Yasyamon looked serious, "D'Arcmon is an angel digimon. I wonder why she would be arrested in Celestus." He nodded his head and without any confirmation from the other two said, "Do not worry we will help you get them free."

Three Static Forces and two Wing Blades shot over the group's heads before the Garudamon and Silphymon flew off.

 

"Sorry, I can't guarantee there won't be a fair amount of hostility between you and everyone else here." Karatenmon told Impmon before shaking his head at Yasyamon "Sensei being a Bird Digimon has nothing to do with the fact that he was able to fight me into submission without breaking a sweat." He told the demon Digimon "He's stronger than me and made me his apprentice, that's all." He sighed as Kapurimon wrapped itself around Sam's neck like a scarf "Miss D'Arcmon was arrested because she refused to turn on her father."

Lucemon was standing silently in the sky his face for once, was blank. 'You seem awfully calm about this' Duke noticed as he walked back to him. 'We have lost a memory today, but there will always be the chance to claim it another time' Lucemon said with a hint of resentment. 'It's Beelzemon, isn't it?' Duke inquired. Lucemon bowed his head, his blonde bangs falling down. 'Out of all the demon lords, he was perhaps the only one I could've liked. Each of us are flawed, I myself was too prideful to actually attempt to make friends. Daemon went into a fury at the slightest irk. Lilithmon always wanted to be something more than friends. Leviamon is too big. Barbamon is only in the position for the treasures we may 'collect' on the way. Belphemon, for the most, was always in sleep mode. As you can see, Beelzemon was the least bit scarred by his own sin, like myself' Lucemon explained. 'So you do actually care about them?' Duke asked. 'As an obligation, though I might sometimes be humble enough to allow my feelings into the bargain' Lucemon answered.

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

Finally, after waiting in a dark, damp cell, the Digi-Marines were called into the tribunal room.

"About f**king time." Daniel muttered.

They were led in to a circular room filled with top brass, and where the judge would be in a courtroom were the surviving Royal Knights, including...

"Hello, Alphamon."

[Ace Daimon]

Alphamon, also known as Alexander Andrews/Dorumon, looked down from his seat.

"We are gathered here today to judge Alpha Platoon, 1st Alliance Marine Battalion, for high treason and harboring fugitives of the law. Commander Andrews, you are accused of defying orders, storming an enemy stronghold that we had little to no intelligence on, extracting a member of your force that was presumed dead, and unofficially reinstating her into your ranks, knowing full and well that she was now one of the enemy."

He leaned forward to face his son.

"How do you plead?"
