Rosethorn [A Pokemon RP] (Now Advanced/Accepting/Started)

Name: Ashton Jones

Age: 18

Starter Pokemon: Smokey (Charmander)

Appearence: He has ash blonde hair, the bangs covering his right eye, and gray eyes. He stands at about 180 cm and weighs 60 kg. He always wears some kind of scarf with his clothes or one of his selfmade Everstone Necklaces as well as a leather bracelet on his right wrist.

Home Town: New York

Bio: Ashton had been wanting his own pokémon for ages and finally recieved one for his twelveth birthday, the Charmander he named Smokey. He had always thought that the unevolved pokémon were much prettier than their evolved forms, thus he started collecting everstones so he could make sure all of his pokémon would stay just the way he liked them. He didn't like the way the everstones looked when finding/buying them though, so he started to design them as bracelets and necklaces that were both functional and decorative. He started to train Smokey at age 16, before then Smokey was more of a house pet than a pokémon acctually. As he had trained him for a while he decided to start travelling, hoping to find more pokémon as well as friends.

 

 

IC:

Ashton was walking over a frozen field nearby the outskirts of Farmless Town. Smokey was running along several feet infront of him, sniffing on various things, looking back at his master every now and then to check that he wasn't out running him. Sometimes he ran at him, circled him a couple of times and then ran off again. Ashton laughed a little at this, and chased after him for a while but gave up after a while as it was too tiresome. He sometimes wondered if Smokey knew that he was a Pokémon and not a dog, because he sure acted more like a dog in most cases. He was walking and running on all fours most of the time, enjoyed doggie treats, and sniffed and licked new 'friends'. Ashton didn't mind this behaviour at all though, he thought it was adorable and wouldn't want Smokey to be any other way. Suddenly Smokey stopped and stared off at the distance, got up on his hind legs and scratched his head. Ashton caught up with him and kneeled down beside him, scratching him a little on the head and looked off into the distance, searching for whatever Smokey had set his eyes on. "What's wrong buddy?" he asked as he got out a doggie treat that he fed to Smokey. Smokey munched on the treat and pointed to the distance where a large glowing Onix could be seen, towering up. "Looks like Trouble" Ashton mumbled and looked down at Smokey, "And we don't want trouble do we Smokey?", he added and smiled. "Char" Smokey said nodding a little. "just what I thought" Ashton said and looked around. He wasn't interested in capturing the Onix, it was neither cute, cuddly or able to be trained as an agility pokémon (OOC: I made this up just now, hope that's okay.. you know the obstacle course things with dogs but with.. pokémon <.<).

 

OOC: Sorry for the long post ^^'

Smokey is kind of like a dog and wears a green/black Collar with everstone shards sewn into it btw ;)

Robert went to investigate.

Upon further inspection, the tower looked old. lt was severely ragged, and one touch would have sent the boulders toppling.

"Oh look Duskull!" Robert picked up a odd stone from the ground. " I think i'll contribute to this tower. Hehe..."

He found the perfect spot for the stone- It fit perfectly in the top opening...

They both felt it. The rise of extremely dark energy, and the presence of another ghost...!

[Master Red]

There seemed to be some natural obstacles in the field which were a perfect site to be training some Agility with Smokey. A nearby Tree had two Branches growing close together which could be used to practice the tire obstacle and by taking some of the falling branches and put them on top of the larger stones he could create the regular obstacles. There were no way to make other obstacles, but training those basic obstacles would do for now. He walked off and started to assemble the course, Smokey observing it all curiously.

OOC: Is noone on to continue the super onix part im getting bored. yawn

[ANBU]

Kane Jumps onto DittoRampardos which then runs upnear onyx. Kane jumps off as it uses Headbutt knocking the onyx down while in evolution. "man,that was close we almost had a big steelixto deal with instead of this". the ditto turns into a Lapras in the nearby sea. "Now ice beam" Kane yells asa light blue orb charges in dittolaprs s mouth.

OOC: I wasn't originally planning for it to be a "super"-Anything.

 

IC: The Onix' form started to change, it's guard was droppeed during it's evolution, due to it's changing form, it couldn't do anything,

"Sludge, Quick Attack!" The Ponyta accelorated to an astonishing pace, and struck the Onix in the back, meanwhile, the sludge attack struck it's eyes, it gave little or no reaction besides moving in pain during the evolution.

"Quick! Everyone hit it while it's evolving!"

[Master Red]

"Come on Smokey, let's train!" Ashton called, Smokey immediatly running happily to him, knowing there would be treats. "Ready.. Set.. Let's go!" Ashton yelled as he and Smokey both took off towards the first small obstacles. Smokey easily jumped them and then followed Ashton towards the other obstacles.

[Aesirson]

"Totodile, hit it with another Hydro Pump!"

Totodile opened it's mouth and fired the water beam, however the recoil of the water attack sent it flying inside a building and it fainted.

"Oh, we should train more on that one! Totodile, go back!" Cyrus held up a Pokéball and Totodile returned inside. He then pulld another ball out of his PokéBall belt. "Go! Relicanth!"

He thre the ball into the air, and it landed on the ground and released a stone-like fish, it however was just lying on the ground since there was nothing to swim in.

"Relicanth! Use Earthquake!"

The fish somehow managed to jump into the air and landed while unleashing a shockwave that knocked the Onix over, but the evolution was not stopped.

OoC: I'd like to say common sense, BUT since that doesn't seem to want to work, I don't really know, if anyone has an idea for a good system let me know, there's a rep in it for you.

OOC: Justr don't. In the TV series There is no such thing as levels.

 

IC: "come on it's nearly down. Murkrow and absol use shadowball and charmander flamethrower." kris shouted at his pokemon.

[ANBU]

ooc: ye.. just have it set amoutn of wins = evolve or something for the evolving part..

 

the Ice Beam strikes the evolving onyx, unfortunately not freezng it. "now hydro pump" Kane says a largeblast of water connecting with the onyx the same time as the two shadowballs and the flamethrower. "man, that things taking a bit to take down, guys how about we just trap it somewhere?".

OOC: sorry was gone for thanksgiving

 

IC: "Alright Cindaquil! Use ember" Zeno cried. Condaquil oblidged, and sent a torrent of withering flame at the unlucky trapinch that had snuck up on them. It took a direct hit, but still remained standing. "Man this thing is tough," he shouted. "ALright Cindaquil, use tackled." Cindaquil tackled the Trapinch, but it still did not faint. 'Why did I have to run into such a strong pokemon right off the bat' Zeno thought. 'Guess I'm gonna have to get lucky.' "Alright Condaquil. Use ember again!" While the trapinch fought off the flames, Zeno quickly pulled out a pokebal and threw it at the pokemon. It was transformed to energy and sucked into the ball. 'Comon' Zeno thought as the pokeball wriggled left and right. He was dissapointed when the Trapinch hopped out of the pokeball. It jumped up and used slam on CIndaquil, who was stunned. "Cindaquil," Zeno shouted. He reached into his pack, and pulled out a great ball, his only great ball. "Greatball go," he shouted and threw it at the Trapinch that was still beating on his Cindaquil. It caught the pokemon unawares, and after it was absorbed into the pokeball, it stayed. Zero then grabbed cindaquil and rushed out to the pokemon center in the nearest town

OOC: Im gonna evolve charmander as in my app it does say ive had it for a while and we really need to move on from the onix.

IC:"we need to take this thing down before it calls some buddys, the last thing we need is a bunch of super onixes." Just after he said that onix hit charmander with a slam, K.Oing it. "Charmander!!!" Kris shouted, but as he ran towards charmander it started evolving. "WHAT THE..... A charmeleon!!!!!!!"

"Cool, Charmeleon attack with Fire Blast and Iron tail!!!! Absol Extremespeed and murkrow attack with steel wing!!!!" Soon along with the other pokemon of all the trainers in the city at the time, The Onix was defeated, leaving everyone to rebuild but relieved.

Kane sits on ditto larprass back. "hmm..i wonder what made it so powerful"he says quietly. Kane looks torwards the town. "so whos going to rebuild the building or are we calling up some workers guys" he asks.

[Skarlet]

The sun was hanging low in the sky by now, Chris looks down at his tired pokemon, before holding out two pokeballs "Come on fellas, you pair need some rest, Ponyta, Sludge, return!" The grimer and the Ponyta disapeared into red beams of light, and Chris started walking. "I don't know about yours, but my pokemon could do with a rest!"

[Master Red]

Ashton and Smokey had done the course a couple of times now, Smokey was panting in exhaustion from all the running. Ashton was quite worn out too, he smiled and picked Smokey up. "Good job buddy, now let's get some rest" he said, Smokey looked up at him and smiled a little. They headed for farmless town, as it was close by, trying to find some sort of hostel where they could rest for a while without having to pay a fortune.

 

(OOC: If I understood correctly there were no pkmn centres?)

"Yeah my pokemon are really tired and I think we could all do with som rest. Come on charman...sorry, I mean charmeleon and absol. Lets go get some well earned sleep and help rebuild tomorrow." Kris said, feeling very tired and breathing in heavily.

OoC; no, there wouldn't be any pokemon centers, however, there would be places similar to vets who can take care of pokemon.

 

IC: Chris walked through the streets of Farmless City trying to find his way back to the hotel. "This'd be so much easier if I remembered the places name!" he thought.

IC: A blonde-haired, Goth-looking boy with a Sneasel appeared nearby.

"I'll give you a tour...if you can beat me!"

Arriving in Farmless Town they managed to find a hostel were they could stay for a cheap price. The room was old and had a weird smell about it, but he shrugged it off. He couldn't expect much when it was so cheap. He didn't even get any food there so he would hhave to fix that for himself later on. There was a newspaper lying around in the room, dated yesterday. He picked it up and started to flip through it, looking for any ads about Pokémon Agility contests.

Kane walks towards farmless town hos ditto turning to a duplicate of him following. "geez your never tired are you?" he asks ditto as he walks. he stops at a cheap hotel. "well i guess this is good enough for now, i mean we don't wann walk too much more anyway" he says to ditto. he pays for the night and goes to his room (next tp Ashton's room). Kane sits, grabbing a newspaperhe then flips through looking for any contests, finding one that amused him "hmm.. i thin k this one was on that poster on a building at where we came into town" he says ditto looking over his shoulder.

[Master Red]

His eyes stuck at the ad for a Pokémon Agility contest that was coming up this week end. He started reading through it, there was a FIRE Pokémon class there so he could enter. He looked downwards, "5$ entrance fee" he mumbled. It wasn't too expensive and he knew he should have a chanse. It all depended on the special obstacles they were using. Melting Ice would be the hardest while burning up planks to clear a path would be the easiest. He reclined a little in the ragged arm chair he was sitting in and thought about the competition and the obstacles. "They would have regular fence-obstacles and the tire obstacles of course..." he stated to himself, Smokey opening a tired eye to look at him from where he was lying on the bed.

Kris managed to find himself a good place to rest, on the top floor of a cheap hotel(the floor above kane and ashton). Well I guess it's so cheap after the onix incident, And it's the only one to survive so it'll have to do. Kris thought to himself, getting a bit distracted when charmeleon started chasing murkrow as murkrow had stolen some food. Then charmeleon used flamethrower on murkrow to make murkrow drop the food. "Hey, don't do that. Both of you should say sorry to each other!" Kris shouted at his pokemon. "Murk" "Char" the two pokemon apoligised to each other. "And if I catch you fighting again and it's not in training your both in big trouble!" Kris started reading a newspaper that he found on the floor and sat down in an armchair while Absol slept in the other, occasionally opening an eye to check on the younger pokemon. "Well there's the normal stuff, contests that are going to happen, the news of yesterday and blah blah. There's nothing interresting, can't wait till tommorow as the onix story will be headline news." Kris said to himself.
