Skarlet Posted November 20, 2009 Report Share Posted November 20, 2009 [spoiler=plot] The year is 2043, Ten years ago, Dr. Veronica Rosethorn, an avid "pokemanic" finally completed her life's work, to create real, evolving, living, breathing pokemon, she created pokeballs to catch them in, Rare candy to increase thier powers. Needless to say, Dr. Rosethorn made millions. But, soon after her success, Rosethorn started to become very withdrawn, she was seen less and less in public, until, finally, she disappeared. When Rosethorn bought pokemon into our world, you were but a baby, but now, you're old enought to start your own journey and take the first steps to becoming one of the first ever real pokemon masters! [spoiler=The Finner Points][spoiler=how do we battle?]Battleing will be done fairly and based on logic, if I feel you are god-modding, or otherwise being unfair by having your pokemon endlessly hit, always dodge, and get up from every single move, then you'll be warned once, and kicked out of the RP after that. To determine the hitpoints your pokemon has are normal for a pokemon of it's level and species. [spoiler=gyms, contests and tournaments]There are no gyms... Well atleast no offcial ones. there's no Elite Four. There are however, tournaments held all over the place, anywhere where one might find a person with money, it's just as likley they'll find a person who's using that money to hold a Pokemon battling tournament or a contest. Once a year (very late on in this RP) there will be a "Grand Tournament" which anyone can enter, and the winner is hailed as a pokemon master! this Tournament is only in it's 3rd year of existance. [spoiler=Experience and Evolution] to a degree this will be decided based on common sense, however, if you can't work out if or when your pokemon should evolve, ask me, and I'll work it out. [spoiler=Catching Pokemon]Once again, this should be common sense based, be reasonable, have battles before you catch your pokemon, and don't just do stuff like this Mitch sees a Dragonite flying over the medow. That ditto has been his friend since, never being put into a pokeball but transforms into people and/or pokemon often. Kane has a large collection of sketches he made of these transformations, mostly the pokemon one, all in a folder which he often carries along with spare drawing supplies.. IC: Chris, mounted on his Ponyta, had rode the great distance from Harper ranch into Farmless City, where he was met with many stares from passers by, it's not every day a 16 year old boy rides a Ponyta in the middle of the big city. Chris' eye is caught by a poster, featuring a Delibird dodging a Kingler's icebeam. This background enticed Chris to read. "The Farmless City Grand Championship Tournament begins on the first of December." OOC: I'm goin' off the actual current date right now, asside from the difference in year, however, I expect that the RP will move a hell of a lot faster then real time. "good job, now we just gotta see if there's anything happening you wont mind changing will you?" he asks. the ditto transforms in a rapidash, then mouned by Kane just before it starts running torwards farless city.
