But, if you must, I suppose if you happened to engineer some new revolver-class firearms, I'd give them a spin" Amethyst said in response to Nexev's proposal, accentuating his last line with a spin of a revolver. "Oh, and you have yet to produce a material my magic can't cut." he added, referring to the only magic he personally utilized: ethereal blades. "Anywho, your highness, you'll find that report contains information on positioning of troops, intel documents, battle plans, all scrying orb activity and observations made up until it was destroyed, and write ups on their weaponry." Amethyst listed off, turning to address the queen. "Also, I managed to secure you a gift of sorts." he remarked, gingerly extracting a small puffball from his pocket. Upon closer examination, this puffball was a living creature and, from the looks of it, currently taking a nap. "This," he continued, "is called a purfell. They're small fluffy creatures that love to fall asleep in coat pockets, and have thus become a rather popular pet in the wizard's realm for both their silky fur and loyal demeanor. Once they've bonded with a human, they are very protective. When they feel their owner is threatened, their fur stand on end and erupts into needles, all hurtling directly toward the aggressor. I already was building a prototype before you got here so I only had to do a few things." Nexev handed Amethyst a pair of silver buttons gilded with brass. " First of all the guns are illuminati so unless active they appr as buttons on Amethyst's coat, preferably the ones on the wrists. When active they are capable of drawing ethereal blade magic and condennsing it into a bullet shape in the guns' chambers. This means that Amethyst can use the bullets to hit through solid walls. More importantly is that the chamber coats the bullets with a special coating that repels the bullets away from non living items. This means the bullets bounce around walls. You can use a knob on the gun to adjust the coating level and therefore how many bounces the next shot can do. With ricocheting bullets coupled with thier etheral blade based stopping power, you can assassinate foes from behind walls or around corners if you aim cleverly and are really good with angles. On a side note if you can perfectly pull it off you'll be really good at pool." Nexev yawned "Excuse me, I took 3 all nighters building the illuminti's especially that one i am only up because I am using an arcanic battery coupled with a mindscape loop to animate my body while I'm sleeping. I SHALL CALL HIM MITKINS AND HE SHALL BE MINE!" she exclaimed joyously as she took the bundle into her arms and began to spin about with it. Finally regaining her composure, she addressed Amethyst. "The information you have supplied me with will indeed be useful." she responded, looking embarrassed at her little outburst. "I thank you very much for it." And another thirty minutes later, she gave Nexy-chan a large grin. "You're such a genius, you know that? How lovely that you made that~" Now, she was prepared to address the remainder of her subjects. "With the information Revolver-kun has given us, a full invasion is very possible at this point! Infinitus Posted November 21, 2009 Report Share Posted November 21, 2009 Emoswa sliced up yet another one of his swordsmanship dummies to ribbons. He was a couple fractions off of his target spot, and decided to go to the other. After embedding the slicing pattern into his mind with a baker's dozen different dummies, all of different shapes and sizes, he figured that now would be a good time to invent another trap. He believed swordsmanship was more than just slicing and dicing, but being able to use the world around you as a much more powerful weapon. As long as he is in his own territory, he can create all the traps he wants, and this would be especially good when there isn't much of a geography to take advantage of. After making about 3 more traps, and scrapping 22 pieces of paper containing ideas that would never work, he figured he would take a leasurely stroll around the area of the castle. Did you need something?" the Queen asked as she looked up from her map of the the Enemy Territory of Embrisan, where Wizard King Sheldon lived. There was an X drawn over a spot on the map, with childish writing under the X reading "The Wizard's House". "I am very busy with the planning of a national invasion, and all that~" - =3 By the way~ Surfierio - The territory which lays in the far North of the Continent of Xalbeerg, it is the most recently established Monarchy in the World, and the second Queendom on the planet. It is well-known for its cool weather all year, with exceptionally cold Winters. Through most of the year, the residents of the Palace occupy Castle Ishtavos, though during the summer months, the Queen and most of her subordinates are relocated to the Summer Castle Vanehkvos. It is notable for its (mostly) benevolent ruler, and its surprisingly powerful military, given its short span of existence.Primarily speaking, it is a Magically Based Queendom. Embrisan - The Embrisan territory is a neighboring territory to Surfierio, located in Central Xalbeerg. It is ruled over by the Wizard King Sheldon, and like Surfierio, is notable for its reliance on Magic, primarily. It is also known for its large host of exotic animals, as opposed to Surfierio, which has a minimal animal population. The two territories are separated by a dense forest, inside of which live all manner of threats - however, a path through the forest is enchanted by a long-standing contract between mortals and the forest ilk, rendering it safe to travel through, so long as one does not stray off the road. Embrisan is a very old Kingdom, but seems to come under new rule every dozen years or so. Sunadiel - The Territory in the far West of Xalbeerg, it is a flat-landish, river-strewn territory, and much of its occupants rely on water-based forms of business, as the many rivers are all wide, and most of them are deep. The Central city, Aquios, is literally islands of land immersed in a large network of rivers and streams, causing travel by boat to be the most expedient means of moving through the city, though all land is connected by bridge as well. The nation is ruled over by Emperor Phineas Zelpher, who insists on neutrality in all wars. Sunadiel and Embrisan are separated from each other by great expanse of Desert. Embri-Suna Desert - A tremendous Desert that is riddled with Snake Demons, Worms that hide beneath the sand, beasts of flame, and wicked plants. Crossing the desert is a daunting task, and several have died trying to make the trip. Contact between Sunadiel and the other Xalbeegian Nations is usually accomplished through sending messages by Magic Birds. The Sunadians have developed a type of boat, however, which can sail at high speeds across the Sands. They do not willingly share this invention, however. Cholinia - Located in the South-East of Xalbeerg, Cholinia is a democratic nation which is led by a high Lord or Lady. Currently, it is led by High Lady Millinia. It is a mountainous Nation, and each of its five cities is placed on the top of a mountain. High Priests in each City are capable of calling an enchanted Bridge to link the cities together, but these bridges are dispelled when the threat of invasion is about, to prevent the invaders from easily accessing other cities. Predictably, the Nation has a very small history of past invasions, as the constant high ground gives them a major defensive advantage. They are a very unsociable nation. The Great Canopy - A gigantic Rainforest that occupies the Southern, Eastern, and South-Western area of Xalbeerg, it is a forest filled with trees that are several hundred feet high, with branches that interconnect far above ground to make pathways. Many tree-dwelling animals make their homes in this humongous forest, with different species being native to different areas. Crossing through the canopies is necessary if one hopes to reach Cholinia, as the mountains are to steep to climb up near the bottom, making it impossible to reach the nation by crossing the forest floor. =3 And so concludes the Nations in the Continent of Xalbeerg. He went through the front doors, up the stairs, and waited by the doors of her throne room, trying to figure out what he would say. He was always taught to think about what your going to say before you let anything roll of your tongue. He thought and chose his words carefully, and decided to walk in. When he came into the presence of his ruler, he dropped to one knee, his arm across his stomach, with his head bowed. He said with every ounce of respect in his lion-sized heart "My queen, I live to serve and serve to live, I would like one small favor, and that is the oppurtunity to please my ruler, with a task of any kind, and I shall execute it without fear, question, nor rest." It seemed only a little random for him to make such a sudden announcement, but she did love random. "Well, it just so happens I have just the task in mind for you. According to these schematics-" she began, pointing to a picture on the war-room map of a childishly drawn lady with a whip, with a voice bubble over her head saying "I R BAD", "Wizard king Sheldon has his Madame Temptress stationed near the Main Guard Room inside his castle. She has been stationed there for over a week, every night, probably waiting to assassinate someone~ When we invade the Castle, I want you to fight her while the rest of us move on, is that alright?" Infinitus Posted November 22, 2009 Report Share Posted November 22, 2009 Emoswa stood, his head still bowed, and stepped backwards, his arm across his stomach and his back still slightly bowed, and began walking out of the room as he said "As you wish, what your word is, shall be done." He turned, opened the door, and exited the queen's throne room. He then began planning ways to perhaps defeat this mistress. Of course, if she is qualified to asassinate, then she must be very good with combat. He figured he might have to play a few head games with her before her swift, and inevitable death. His slightly psychotic side loved that. He returned to his humble quarters and began one of his favorite pass times. He began smithing swords out of different metals. He has made cutlasses, broad swords, spathans, and katana's out of every metal available. Now, he began his scimitar collection, one of his favorite swords. "Sorry, I was bored and felt like challenging people to duels.", he continued, now spinning one of his guns. "It's really fun with these long reload times. I just love reloading in battle, the feeling of shoving a long silver bullet into a well greased chamber...." Sighing, he returned his revolver to his coat. "....should we tell him about that before he leaves to kill a corpse?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^ Hilariously enough, that thing about reloading in battle is a direct quote from MGS, during the boss fight with Ocelot. Tossing the grenade back into his pouch, the Player began walking briskly toward the door, but paused in front of Revolver Amethyst. Clutching the detonator, he let out a sharp glare. With a flex of his hand the detonator crumpled and was tosses aside. "Don't insult me." And with that regard to Amethyst, he walked briskly out of the door, calling out absentmindedly: "I'm going to go make the world burn. Holler if you need me."
