Examining him Jake reached out with muddy hands and grabbed the boy's chin, moving it so he can examine every angle of the newcomer's face. When he was done, and had left muddy fingerprints, "Where you from kid?" he quickly darted around him and lifted his shirt over the boy's head, "Weird cloths . . ." Fog just laughed, then said" well that is sure an ood opinon ... maybe we're all weird in some way's, Jake tomarrow I want you and Dan to go to the Great Triceratops heard and see if one will be his partner..yes i know the danger of the raptors is great , but i think yall can handle it"Then Turning to josh he contiued, "We will go to the swamp land . I think a Ouranosaurus might like you."With a yawn he finished" Well good night and dont let the t-rew bite." Then fog sat on a stool and went right to sleep just so no one could agure with him. He hopped off of the counter and looked at both of them, "A dinosaur that will be your loyal companion and help you out when you need . . . well . . . help." He swung on the low ceiling and landed in a small cot, "But I doubt anything here will like you . . . actually," he gave a smile, "maybe they'd like you for lunch." He stayed up the entire knight keeping an eye on both of them and in the morning was completely exhausted. With Fog waiting for them Jake had been enjoying the bright, warm sun outside. DragonJLB Posted November 21, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2009 Josh and fog were walking for about 2hours beforthey reached the swamp lands were he was going to try toget a Ouranosaurus to be his partner...in trough he didn't want the thing.While fog walked through the swamp with ease, Josh was haveing problems finaly on a sand bar fog said" well your sure slowing me down...waite here and i,ll bring the Ouranosaurus i was talking abotu here". With that fog ran off. It wasn't long befor josh got board," maybe i,ll explore some " josh said as he looked around. Josh was walking for only a couple of minutes, when he pasted through a rather deep part of the swamp. after he made it to the other side, he noticed a wade of branches that were laying on top of each other. Next to them about 50 feet was a weired looking rock that was bigger than a house. Then walking up to the branches he saw two brocken eggs, and a thered that was still intacked, suddenly A ROAR broke out from be hind Josh stunned he truned around to see the rock shift and look at him.It was a full grown Spinosaurus looking quite upset that he was near her nest, josh started to back away when he notice that it's ...her lages was in a bloody mess. The only way she was moveing was to crawl twards him, then she would stop and Roar pain. Josh felt sad to see her in pain but what could he do to ease her, them it hit him she wasn't trying to get at him ...just get near her nest. Then takeing a risk, he put him self in between her and the nest. She roared at him ,then Josh started pulling the nest twords him. To josh's relive she stoped roaring ,so he keeped pulling it. As he got close she put her head down and grabed the nest with her jaws ,then very gently pulled it twards her mid secting and rapped her tail around it.Josh was so happy, that he let his gaurd down, and she new it. At that moment she wiped her head around and licked josh from toe to head in one slimy , red tunge. Josh was just happy she didn't eat him so just backed away from her never turning around if he did he would have seen the giant croc sniking up on him. Then with an explosion of water the croc aimed for josh's body."im done for" Josh was thinking as this mega croc jumped out of the water with mouth open.Then something massive jumped in the way. Josh looked up stunned to see the female Spino standing, but just barely in front of him. Josh then saw were the attack of the croc had landed right behind the right shoulder through her rib cage. Stunned it's self the croc let go and turned to run but was to slow , as she used the last of her life to finsh off the attacker by bitting at the base off its head killing it instantly. But then she fell over the last of her strangth she looked over at the nest.Josh followed her gase, then he ran over to the nest and grabed the last egg. then gently as he could he took it over to her, as she laied their bearly breathing, she licked the egg, then josh , then the egg again. Josh was crying, " im so sorry if I only hadn;t come..." was choked up and couln't speak any more he just turned his head away fom her. Then he felt her tunge go limp.Still crying josh held the egg close, then he foced him self to look at the spino that saved his life, and spoke to the hevans " I will mak sure i repay your kindnise". Then he heared a squek.Yes i will tack care of you little gey..or girl.Josh took of his shirt and raped the egg up , then drying his eyes he looked around and headed back twards the sand bar were fog had told him to stay .."i wish i would have lisend" he said with greave in his voice. { 3 1/2 hours later} Fog came running to the sand bar and found josh sitting with the egg. Fog at first looked very upset, then as josh expalined what happened, fog said " well your very lucky she could have eaten you...but maybe it was good that you found her and saved her egg. know dont be sad about her death for we all die , but you saved her species with the egg for it is the last one in this land.An know that you will be raiseing it we might as well get back to my house ...we migh even beat jess and dan back." with that fog turnned and led him back through the swamp. Josh asked fog about the Ouranosaurus and he answered angerly "the dame thing told me that is was an ugly dino, man i realy hate dum dinos." Fog laughed and said" a watched pot doesn't boil"." I know but when will it hatch" said josh with excitement in every word while putting down his palte of cooked fish." I dont know when it was lade, so naturle i dont know when it will hatch.But thats not the problem you we have."Said fog with a hint of disapprovle in his voice, then he continued" the problem is that large Carnivore are hard to raise's, they turn savige of their 1st birth day... and you dont care do you?" Fog Finished off his sentens, Josh nodded in compliance, then added " the mother saved my life ,so to return the favor i took him as my partner.. if he will have me." Josh 's end-statement showed fog his depth of apresiation he had for the female spino that ended her life to save his, then fog got up an went over to the book shelf. he pushed it away from the wall to show a small hole in the wall. fog reached in and pulled out a glowing blue stone, a samll bag of something, and a key ring with many rings attached to it, them he put back the stone. Fog then turned to josh and said "STAND!" Josh did so quickly with the egg in his hands, Fog walked over and putting his hand in the bag and pulled out a hand full of blue glowing dust then sprinkled it over josh and his egg, just as he did a blue aura sprange out of josh and rapped around the egg,it felt like all of josh's strangths, fellings, and dreams were swariling around him then it all went in to the egg . Just be for josh went to speak a Dark green aura sprang out of the egg and back around josh and sattled in to him. Then Fog offered Josh the ring,but pulled it out of reach and said" Do not take this gift likely for if you take it you join the tribe of the Keeper's and must up hold our standerds , keep peace in the land, and help with all your might thoses who need your power." Fog was waiting for a reply but in stead Josh took the ring and looked at fog with a smile. Fog then smile back to josh then said " now that we are equals of my...our order. I will tell you about what happen here to night, the blue aura powder that a sprinkled on you and the egg was to trun your own aura in to abond with him i believe { he said poiting at the egg}..yes its a him and the ring is not only a symbol of our order ,but will let you hear and speak to other dinos." Fog stopped talking , walked over and put all the things back in to the hole in the wall, then pushed the book shelf back. Then he continued," and the Blue stone you saw is the E-stone and will let me know where any of our order are at any moment i choses." Looking quite tired Fog sat on the cot and put his feet up, then said with a yawn," that realy took it out of me, so i,ll leave you to explore your new powers on your own...night." With that fog was asleep,Josh was just standing there dume founded, what does this mean, then Josh heared..no felt a strange sensation. Like being in a wet leather jacket. Then Josh saw a small crack in the egg. Suddenly his dark green aura wraped around him and the egg again, the cracks grew , and a small triangle head shot out off the egg. This little dino was looking right at josh, then opened its mouth as wide as it could and begain chearping loudly. As the little guy was doing this Josh had a feeling that he was hungry but how he had just ate.. then it hit him it was the spinos feelings not his own. So josh still holding the spino went over and sat next to his palte of fish.Then pealing a small pice off he offered it to the little guy. He ate it with no problems so josh gave him alittle more , then by the time he was full, his belly was as round as a softball. Josh startled him, when he started laughing at his little friends belly then he stoped and looked at him and said "you need a name", looking him over he noticed that like his mother he had little spikes hanging off of him.Then he started thinking ;Spike is a worthy name;. Then he noticed spino was asleep in his lap."spike " Josh said quitely then picked Spike up and went over and sat up against the wall with the little spike on his chest. It took a good deal of prodding to get jake to take him to the Triceratops herd. It was amazing. Jake told him to find a nest and take an egg before he left, but that was begining to seem impossible. Dan sighed. He carefully climbed down the rocks and attempted to appoach a nest. It was going well until a triceratops trumpetted in alarm. The entire herd stampeded. Amids the chaos, he spotted Jake signaling wildly to him. He started off in that direction, but in a stampede, you rarely get where you were aiming for. Dan found himself in the trees a bit south of where Jake was. He started stumbling back toward him when he tripped over a velocirapter hidden in the bushes. He yelled and backed over, before realizing that the rapter was near dead. As the raptor wheezed it's last breath, he realized that an egg was at it's feet. Slowly, Dan took it, after all, it would probably be eaten if he didn't. He finally found his way back to Jake, prize in hand. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He rubbed his neck carefully before answering."Yea, I'm good," he said. "I got lost in the forest trying to get away but..." Dan held the egg tighter."I found a dying velocirapter.
