The tremors had been continuing for more than a month, causing untold numbers or casualties and damage. Late evening, October 31st, 20XX one final tremor erupted from the bowls of the Earth and split it in two. Buildings toppled and people were swallowed up by the "Mother".

While most are dead within seconds, a surviving few have found themselves amoungst fertile trees and humongous incests- big enough to literally carry a small dog off. The sound of low thuds catches your attention as they grow ever closer. AS you peer up towards the sky you see a giant head break through the blades of a fern tree and look down at you. You cannot believe your eyes- a dinosaur!!!

Running at full speed you dash away from the monstrosity and come to the edge of a cliff, where you finally take in the full reality of the strange situation you have been thursted into. The landscape is littered with every dinosaur you've ever seen in one of your children's books, and more still. And those three suns aren't helpping your grasp on reality at all . . .

Stuck in a preverbial "Land Of The Lost" you must survive by bonding with one of the many dinosaurs and find you way back to the surface and, hopefully, the world you knew. But getting there is ALWAYS easier said than done.

Josh was falling, through clouds for what seemed like hours, at first it was scarey but then it was kind of fun."well i might as well have some fun befor i hit the ground " he thought. Then all to soon the the clouds parted and josh saw was heading for what seemed like a barn... but that was impossable he fell through a hole when the Quake hit. but their it was comeing closer then fear hit him."I,m heading for a barn" he screaming in horror. Then josh blacked out, just as he hit. When he awoke he was in a bed with his arms and lages wraped up in bandages.Josh looked around, he was in a large room with a fire palce, a copule of small stools, then he froze as a black hooded figure walked to the fire place and added more fire wood. Then with out trunning around this figure spoke" not from around he are you".

THen he turned around. Josh was socked to see that this was no man at all, but a giant frog standing on two lages, just smileing at looking right at him.Then as if that wasn't enough to freak josh out, his right eye was slowly moveing to the right.

 

Then it started laughing...or what josh asumed was laughing. It stoped just as soon as it satrted. Then it said " My name is Fog. Who might you be?"

 

Josh just now getting over his sock said" My name is josh...and were am I."

 

Fog said with another laugh" in my home, just north of the swamp land....ho I forgot,your not from here..."

Then he Expained to josh With great detail, that he was in Paleo a world were dinosaurs have survived and

was a world under the earth he had known.Then he told josh to fallow him as if to prove his point.Josh Strugled to keep up with him due to his brused limbs

 

Josh didn't believe him about the dino thing , till fog showed him the barn he had fallen through.Their he saw tones of eggs. Then something in the corner cought his attention. Darting out of the corner a large lizard standing on two lages, carged josh. Only to stop when Fog rose his arm. Fog Said to it " he is going to be staying here for a while Bong" Turning to josh he said "Bong is a Dryosaurus".Then Fog lead josh out of the barn and back to the house their he let josh take it all in.

 

Then Fog , made josh get back in to the bed , and said " once your recovered , we'll find the others. Or they"ll find us".

Josh was going to ask Who are the others ,but just be for he spoke Fog wave his hand and said "Rest." Josh just blacked out.

I’ll seriously be fired if I’m late for this delivery, Dan thought as skated across the city. His roller skates whizzed beneath him as he slide down the hill. Large wheeled speed-types; they let him roll almost anywhere. On his back were strapped two katana. He worked in a store that dealt with traditional weaponry, everything from swords to bows and spears. He was delivering two high class and high quality katana, hidden in intricately carved Bokken, custom-made from wood looking fibre-glass. They were worth a lot. They hung off his backpack that held schoolbooks, his house keys, some rope he got for his Dad and a few spare parts for his blades and a first-aid kit in case of an accident.

 

Five minutes and I’ll make it, Dan thought. Then the quake hit. Not that he wasn’t used to it now; it had been going on for a month now. That was the main reason he was delivering now. He was the only delivery guy able to keep his feet in a tremor. But this wasn’t like normal quakes. He watched, stunned, as buildings around him sank into the ground. The road in front of him started to crack and then large chunks feel out. He struggled to keep his cool. If he fell, he’d try to land with the rolls he learned in his acrobatics class. He lost his balance as the asphalt under him feel.

 

Stay cool, stay cool, he told himself. He did stay cool, until he saw the hole below him, and realized he couldn’t see the bottom. He screamed. And kept screaming for a few minutes. He looked at his watch. He had been falling for maybe eight minutes. Perfect. A few minutes later, he pooped through a layer of clouds and into a large lake, screaming again. He swam to the shore and pulled himself out. Giant bugs flew around him. What in the world just happened?

Fog Just watched another of these strange people fall in to his world, but unlike the fist one he meet this one hit in the lake be hind his house. Then it started swiming to shore fog just stood their and watched this man till he reached shore. He looked tired as he crawled ashore, as hed did he heard this young man say "What in the world just happened?". Then fog answred

"You just fell in to a lake". Fog said as his hooded body moved to this young man to see if he was alright.

Dan coughed up more lake water. He spat and rose unsteadily ro his feet. His rollerblades slid and he fell. He groaned as he pulled then off. A hooded figure appoached him. Insrinctively, Dan rolled and grabbed the sword hilt.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"Now ,now im a friend " then Fog removed his his hood showing his dark blue hide."I'm Fog", then he smiled and asked "Are you hurt from your fall?"

Dan's eye's widened. He shook his head and chuckled. "I hit my head. That's it. I fell during the quake and hit my head. Now I'm having a bizzare dream."

He wandered around and looked at one of the giant bugs. It was a foot long and resembled a dragonfly, with a metallic green and blue body, black eyes with a yellow spot and transparent veined wings that had black tips. It bit him.

"Youch!" He cried out, toppling over. The bug landed on his chest. "Ok, maybe I'm not dreaming."

" A dream you say, well dream that you walked with me to my house and their I explanie where you are...and you can meet one of your own kind". Fog said as he walked too his house. "Well come on then." Fog said as he walked.

"Why not," Dan sighed. He picked up his skates and followed the blue man. He stared at the blood on his finger. "So this isn't a dream. I'm so getting fired," Dan sighed. The bug that bit his settled on his head.

As Fog and his new gussed entered the house Josh was puting more firewood on the fire. As they entered josh looked over and saw that their was some one else who by the look of it was just as confused as him. " Hello my name is josh" he said kindly.then he put down the rest of the fire wood so he could shake Dan's hand.

"Ah, Hi. I'm Dan," Dan replyed. He pointed to the bug on his head. "This is my stalker. He bit me and now he wont go away." Dan glanced around the room.

"Can I ask where am I? And how did I get here?"

Fog looked at both of them. Then siting on a stool , he said to both of them " well your in my house on the edge of the great plane, just north of the swamp land , in the under ground country of Paleo, were like I told josh, were dinosaurs have survived. Yes it's hard to believe but i asure you it is no lies ...josh can atest to that." he Said with a smile on his face.

 

Josh just smiled and told Dan about Bong, the Dryosaurus Guarding the barn of eggs.

"ya dont go in the barn with out fog." josh said with great gusto. Then josh stared at the Dragon fly siting on Dan's head.

"Whats with that thing?"

"Ok," Dan said. "Next question; how did we get here? We should be dead." He shook his head. The bug flutter off then landed again. "This is just unbeleivable. I mean, giant dragonflies, blue people, no offense, and dinosaurs?"

" Blue poeple?' said fog, with a confused look he said to them both "were are these blue peple you speak of". Them to change the subject,Fog said "As for how you got here.. well you fell, I though you knew that...oh well, guess not ." Fog said laughing at the end.

 

Josh Wispered to Dan so Fog would not hear, " it's pointless to ask a question you realy need answered... I think a few screws are lose." Then josh added, " So far as i've learned that Fog is the last of his race, and the last of these peace keepers called {the Keepers}. As For what and how these types of people died out I dont know, but he does" Josh said as he nodded towreds fog then contiued" .... fog said he'll tell that story when the time is right."

 

Then Fog looked right at them. Josh stoped talking when fog did this, but fog didn't say any thing, he didn't even move. Then Fog said " well I have to go find some one stay here and dont go into the barn or out side or ....Just stay in this room , OK. " Then he headed out the door.

 

Josh then said with a qusrtioning glare."He did the same thing when you fell out of the sky."

Then josh got up and went back to the fire place to put more wood on the dieing fire.

 

 

{ What fog was doing out side}

Fog walked for many hours through the plane too the forest. Fog wlaked though the forest, occasionly stoping to hear the forest around him. Then his walked turned it to a slow, stalk through the forest. He was searceing for some thing but what could it be in this wilderness. Then Fog stoped and closed his eyes, he was sensing the world around him.

The sound of snapping branches and russeling leaves break the silence of the giant forest. The blurr of a figure running through the background. In a few seconds the figure appeared behind Fog and has breathing heavily, as if a beast was ready to strike. Pushing its head through the branches the animal cracked a smile, "Hello Fog . . . how long have you been waiting?"

" ya but i dont realy mind ,so how was the trip" Fog said with a hint of comity in his tone

Jake gave a laugh and flipped out of the tree, landing on his bare knuckles. He stood up, or as straight as he possibly could, and shrugged his shoulders. "Got what you wanted, but it was harder than you told me . . ."

"So," Dan asked Josh, batting at his admirer (the bug), "what do you do when he leaves? How long have you been here? What did you do on top? Where are you from?"

" Realy know ...hmmm oh i found some people that i though you sould meet then...." he trailed off as usual for fog. "Well Come back to my home and we will disuss an other issue." Eith that fog turnned around and started walking.

[Jake the Sage]

Jake cocked his head to the right, as he normally would do when his curiosity was peeked, and smiled. "People? Alright . . ."

 

Jake followed behind Fog as he carried the package he had been sent for previously. Pushing the branches and spider webs aside he sighed as Fog's shack came into view. "Dude, no matter how many times I see it . . . you still have one nice house."

Josh turned around and said comly" SIt here and think,...I've been here ffor 3 days Recovering after i fell through his barn... I was a Dish washer, but i also worked with my mother helping her to raise my 6 brothers and 12 sisters all younger than me." With that josh Turned around and went to the corrner were under a blanket was a book shelf ..."here's some books if you want ..but their all in chines." Josh said with a smile.

"Great, and here I forgot my chinese to english dictonary." Dan grinned. "I'm from Canada. I worked in a weapons store." Dan checks the condition of his rollerblodes. "Aww, they got mud in them." he started to clean them.

Fog and Jacob were know at the door but didn't enter ."see, These two are special their already be comming friends ... THis time will be different ...they will past the test." then they entered

Jake walked in as he followed Fog. He didn't see what was so special about these two, except for their odd clothing . . .

"Ah, hello?" Dan said, looking at the newcomer. The dragonfly landed on his head now that he was distracted. It chittered happily. Dan sighed with resignation
