Rock / Metal. Or pretty much anything that takes talent do to.

Playing with computers and cool sounds is not music.

Metal (All variations' date=' 'cept country black metal. Still trying to figure that one out)

Country Black Metal? The hell?

I've heard of Folk Metal, I've heard of Black Metal, I've even heard of country. But what the f*ck is country black metal?

Sounds like something that shouldn't exist.

Devil worship, sang as if it were country.

You had me scared there.

Technically it wouldn't be considered Death or Black Metal, only due to the fact that it is missing alot of the elements that make it up. The only thing they have in common is similar lyrical themes.

The song made my day though. =P

Something you have to have a long thinking moment:

The Devil Went Down to Georgia(The Uncensored Version) by Charlie Daniels(Who weirdly shares the same birth city with me).

I spent 10 minutes looking for the Uncensored version and the only thing that changes is he says 'Son of a jabroni' instead of 'Son of a gun'

What's the importance of that.

Everything you listed there is music. Me banging on my desk is music. A guy expressing himself by rapping with a drum machine on the background is music. A guy yelling about pissing on babies and sodomizing your mother is music. Snoop Dogg is music.

Stop trying to decide what 'real' music like you know what the funk your talking about. Rap is not sheet just because you heard one song about cars, money and bastards. Grindcore doesn't suck just because it's fast and sounds like 'noise'. Metal is not a funking copy of rock, it's a whole diffrent genre you don't know anything about. If it feels good to you, then it's real music. Simple as that.

Rap - Shouldn't exist.

Hip-Hop - Sucks.

Pop - Sucks.

Jazz - Tolerable.

Reggae - Sucks.

Country - The songs about Beer and chicks are awesome. The emotional songs suck.

Rock - Pretty good.

Screamo - Shouldn't exist.

Grindcore - Sucks.

Metalcore - Meh.

Pagan Metal - \m/(>.<)\m/

Death Metal - \m/(>.<)\m/

Melodeth - \m/(>.<)\m/

Black Metal - \m/(>.<)\m/

I probably forgot a genre. :/

Real in the term 'exists', yes

Also, never call somebody an idoit because they don't agree with you, you idiot.

Let me make this clear.

In this perceived reality, where music you like now and deem 'good' is the only music that exists, then how do you determine what is good any more? Everything would sound so similar that you would wish for something different. Also, you wouldn't have anything 'bad' to compare the only music in the world to, meaning that the only existing music wouldn't be good any more.

amirite? ;)

D: That's what my bf's saying too.:(

"I could go sheet and make better noises than that."

lmao XD

Rap (I don't care about your stupid bass' date=' your b**** ain't coming back, Your car is shitty and I know you have money.

Manau? Celtic Rap with texts about druidism, landscapes in Brittany and philosophy?

I doubt they even have cars but yeah, Bretons and their national heritage feelings.XD

Also, something was tingling in me, electronic genres use computers too.

So does Yuki Kajiura, one of the most renowned instrumental artists nowadays.

Some of her songs are played live with real instruments but others aren't especially if they're mostly electronica. Then they're played live on her synthesizer which I count as an instrument too.

I also know a bunch of bands who do use their real guitars and real drumsets and dedicate their whole tiny life to that but still sound awful. Maybe very complicated in a technical way but still horrible.

I know that's not what you were saying but it reminded me of people I know who like talking like that too.

But yeah, it's your opinion so it's valid.

You forgot a lot of genres master.:(

Also LOL'ed at the bolded.xD

You idiots calling the idiots who don't agree with you idiots idiots.

But yeah, music is music.:/

And they all have their sub-categories and variations. Like Baroque, Folk, Operatic Pop or whatever.

So...

Other(Please List) Electronica and Classical/Neo-Classical

(I was posting in 2 threads with the same general topic, so If this is the wrong thread I apologize )

I stated that [Let's call then Bands] use computer editing and whatnot just like [Let's call them...[Rap artistscough] do, however there is one key point that ruined music.

Auto-tune.

You could have a completely flat and boring conversation about how windows or clear, or how paint drys and turn it into a song.
