Metal sucks to me. Disturbed is an exception. My real definition of music is Rock & Country. The rest are copycats. Forgot Jazz' date=' sorry. Ragtime is Rap's original, plus R&B's is Big Band. Metal is a copycat of Rock.

And? Have you listened to ANY metal music?

I don't judge by the genre, I judge by the song. As a matter of fact, I don't like most metal, and I love rock, and when I heard TTFAF by Dragonforce, I thought it was rock, because my definition of rock was music that truly felt alive, not like the kinds of metal with screeching voices that yell on about death.

I make my own genre boundaries.

Excuse me, what about electronica/trance/techno/house/bubblegum/hardcore/terrorcore/splittercore/speedcore/jumpstyle/etc?

Basically music is sound made by instruments and vocals. If there is no instruments then it is not music, if it has no vocals it is still music.

All music.

Except Death Metal etc... If that's music' date=' then so is the sounds that come out of my rear when I crap.

I the smell strong scent of ignorance Icy. D:

I could provide plenty of example of Death Metal that doesn't use the steriotypical gutteral throat ripping grunting you might be thinking of. ;)

Rock (And most variations)

Metal (All variations, 'cept country black metal. Still trying to figure that one out)

Country (Not the most popular, but I respect as real music)

Pop (Extremely shakey on this. Classic pop [e.g. Micheal Jackson] is real, but shiz like Taylor Montanna, I don't respect.

From your list, I qualify as Real music.

Unreal:

Rap (I don't care about your stupid bass, your jabroni ain't coming back, Your car is shitty and I know you have money. Now stop trying to be a gangster and get a real guitar and real drumset.

R&B (Rap is Rythem and Lyrics, your rythem and blues. GET YOUR OWN funking GENRA. Your not only a wanna be-ganster ass, your a wanna be-ganster ass whininer)

The other half of pop (Learn to play your instruments, try writing a song that doesn't need a hot girl in the band to keep people listening and we'll talk)

I hate the fact that Rap and R&B is mostly computerized, including the voicess. I don't see how some people think that a computer deserves more respect that a person who dedicated their life to perfecting their instrument. ( Yes, I know some rappers can actually sing. Big deal so can every other artist, especially when they have a big computer behind them. And yes, I know that Master Recordings for all music has computer editing. Amount of rap editing>Amount of Rock editing.)

I don't wanna be bashed for my opinion, and I don't care if you like rap. I don't.

Country Black Metal? The hell?

I've heard of Folk Metal, I've heard of Black Metal, I've even heard of country. But what the f*ck is country black metal?

Sounds like something that shouldn't exist.

xD

That, is just weird. By technical terms, it's music, since it's got flow and combines sounds to make a rythm, but that is just weird.

I thought country was supposed to be friendly and simple.
