Not really, they've never done any less than one a month. In fact, they used to release them faster.

Apparently there will be two quests for March. The second one is supposed to be a sequel to Dwarf Cannon, but why that quests needs a sequel is beyond me. It's probably going to be another Rune Mechanics. It's going to be a new Pirate quest called A Clockwork Syringe, and Dwarf Cannon 2 will come later.

Yeah, I saw one of your posts on the forums.

Anyway, here's my review of Elemental Workshop IV taken from the forums.

[spoiler=Review]~*~ Quick Ratings ~*~

Storyline: 5/10

Character development: 2/10

Length: 7/10

Puzzles: 8/10

Boss fight: 0/10

Reward: 5/10

Difficulty: 7/10

Requirement: 7/10

Reliance: 8/10

Overall: 8/10 (Technically it should be a 5.4/10, but it was enjoyable enough that it earns an 8)

~*~ In summary ~*~

The positives:

+ First puzzle was very enjoyable.

+ Gave more insight into the background of the story.

+ We received two upgrades through this.

+ Doing the second puzzle to get Chaos bars isn't as tedious as getting primed bars.

The negatives:

- Second puzzle was complete nonsense and absolutely tedious.

- Our first "character" is nothing more than a robot buddy we use for the second puzzle.

- The story has virtually nothing different other than us merely progressing further into the workshop.

- Numerous times when I logged out due to a terrible internet connection, I would be sent back to the beginning of the workshop. Yes, this is a knock against the quest, since it's a rather unfair punishment when there's no reason for it.

- I simply cannot fathom why Runecrafting and Thieving were required for their respective moments. Runecrafting I suppose I can accept, but certainly not Thieving.

- Rewards were rather minimal. Cosmic gloves I can understand. but Chaos BOOTS? Really? Also, why give us Runecrafting xp? It served the very same purpose as Thieving did, and yet we receive no Thieving xp. In fact, Smithing xp should have been given, and yet we received none of that either.

- Making Cosmic and Chaos armor is tedious and requires too much draining, so it's just easier to buy off the Grand Exchange.

- Where in blazes are my Myreque V and Kennith's Concerns sequel?

~*~ Written Review ~*~

So once again we venture in the Elemental Workshop. This is not an adventure that is unwelcome, but it certainly came rather soon, as most of us have been in anticipation of other quests. Nonetheless, 2011 continues to bring us continuations of old series, so let's get to it.

As usual, the quest continues the series' unique method of starting off by reading a book. Also as usual, reading the book is essentially the plot, although this is actually done another time later in the quest. The description of the quest essentially promised that this quest was meant to be deeper than the other quests in the series, but it didn't exactly live up to that other than continuing Vitruvius' backstory. It didn't exactly live up to that in my opinion. Plot was never this series' strong suit anyway. This series has always been one of gameplay, and it certainly lives up to that at least.

The quest can essentially be divided in two. The latter half begins just as the former did, as he read a book to learn about what to do. The first puzzle was rather entertaining, and I was particularly happy that I could solve it without needing a guide. The second one, however, made absolutely no sense, and was the only part I had to use a guide on, other than realizing that I needed a Keyblade (Which personally amused me simply because I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan).

Ultimately, this quest is just two consecutive puzzles. While it grants you access to Cosmic armor, I feel that this is swiftly overshadowed by the Chaos armor. While the coloring is a matter of taste to decide which looks better, the Chaos armor is statistically superior. Basically, you receive to towards that are virtually the same, except one of them is better. Speaking of rewards, you receive Crafting and Runecrafting experience. This makes no sense at all to me. I really think that Smithing experience should have been a reward, and why is Runecrafting a reward while Thieving is not?

Still, the quest was fun, and I'm looking forward to Elemental Workshop V, but I wouldn't mind if it didn't come for quite some time.

I just found out that Mod Tytn, creator of the Myreque series, While Guthix Sleeps, and Fairy Tale Part III has left Jagex.

I knew this for a while, it is because Jagex has been making decisions recently in order to attempt to maximize their revenue. This includes ignoring bot accounts, then when they are high level lowering the levels in order to get them to pay more membership to get it back up, banning high level bots/rwt people and getting them to buy back their accounts, and making updates that are flashy and get lots of immature fools to believe they are good, to trick the masses into buying more membership. Effectively Jagex sold itself out to the almighty dollar, that is why Tytn quit imo.

TBH I don't mind the wilderness and free trade returning, just the method they did it through was pretty much B.S. with their referendum and voting, they were gonna do it either way, it wasn't up to the players.

Also, WildyWyrm was just an excuse for Jagex Moderators to go out of their way to taunt and kill people, if they wanted to, they could have spawned it anywhere (picture that in the grand exchange).

Lets see, I'm a very high level, so I know what I'm talking about, but I would prefer my identity in game remain hidden don't need more kids asking for free stuff.

Oh, and I still can't beat Tztok-Jad because I have poor prayer switching skills.

The elemental workshop IV was decent, not as good as EW3 (I did that one without a guide, it was fun), but good nonetheless.

The planned Smithing rework might involve alternative methods of Smithing, but they probably won't re-arrange the level requirements because it would invoke the wrath of the high levels that worked hard for their skills.

The ring of wealth update seems interesting, especially because it will increase the drop rate of unique drops even for bosses.

I cannot wait for A Clockwork Syringe, I like pirate quests.

Also, just so you know, Ritual of the Majharrat is nowhere near done (its the sequel to While Guthix Sleeps and the finale to the Majharrat quests), and probably was set back due to Mod Tytn leaving, limitations of the game, etc.

TL;DR

I LIKE CEREAL!

Actually, Paul Gower is confirmed to be working on Ritual of the Mahjarrat.

The Twitter picture for A Clockwork Syringe is out. http://twitpic.com/494dnw

I want that pirate penguin.

I got 64 Slayer, and I have to kill Black Demons. I won't be able to get 65 until my next task, but then I'll finally be able to do Blood Runs Deep. After that, I'll spend the experience I get from that on Magic, then I just need to train Firemaking for The Void Stares Back. In hindsight, I really should have spent the Bonus Experience Weekend on Firemaking.
