I saw it the day it came out in my cinema.

Meh, entertaining film.

Oh and jumping into this conversation. Nostrodamus who prophesied the end of the world was also said to have foreseen significant events such as the fall of the twin towers. However his writings are so vague and interpreted as the reader sees fit. For he would say something like "the skies will burn" or "the sky was on fire" etc. It could be interpreted to any event where there is a flame significantly above ground. A plane exploding or something like that.

You know I was actually surprised to see the President choose to allow Adrian (the scientist) to go on his plane while he stayed behind.

It proved he was a smarter president than all the others shown in the other films, where the politicians were willing to sacrifice ANYONE and ANYTHING to save their own hides in times like these

I know, but to be fair the guy who said keep the gates closed had a far better, more reasonable and logical case than the scientist who said all that sh!t about it making us human. If they had just shut the gate they wouldn't have almost died.

And those Arks were so cool. If I were to go on one of those I would feel like Darth Vader or someone from Star Wars. They looked so cool.

The president and Adrian (Im guessing) were the only smart ones in the movie (I didn't see it though)

No, there were many smart people in the film.

The crazy yellowstone guy was so awesome.

Everyone who made the Arks were smart.

The main character was pretty smart for being the only poor person to survive with his family (pretty much).

Yeah there's plenty.

But remember the government policy: if you speak out on something that'll cause panic, you get assasinated

Then, when the time comes and it turns out the crazy guys were actually right, the government will say "you can't blame us for not telling you, though we knew all along. We only tell the people what they WANT to hear"

Big deal' date=' some of the things mentioned in Day After Tomorrow weren't exactly complete BS either you know, but no one ever takes that seriously

Well, he lives in New Orleans. Considering how much of a disaster Katrina was, it makes sense to be legitimately scared of natural disasters.

and I live in southern CA, so it's natural to be scared of such earthquakes
