Your favorite and/or least favorite glitch in a video game

My favorite glitches are:

-Fallout 3 - Robots spasms and then flies into the distance depending on where they are

-Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - You can continuously set up a C4 pile in which the C4s never disappears even if you die and respawn back until it gets shot so it blows up and basically make a gigantic stack of them (like 10-unlimited) and then stand over it, detonate it, and you'll basically see from a first person view of you flying into the air about like 5000+ feet seeing the whole map and the horizon

-Need for Speed Underground 2 - I was winning a race and then I ran into a wall and glitched inside the wall so not my car is just stuck inside the wall and I can't go anywhere and ended up losng the race

-Halo 3 - got killed on Foundry when jumping in the little long hallway area and body magically spasmed all the way into the ceiling

-Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - getting stuck in the most lamest area you can ever imagine when your just jumping around crazily for fun (got stuck at the Arcane University)

-Hasbro Interactive Monopoly - when I traded with a computer player, the trade would commence and when I sent a trade proposal to the computer player, nothing would happen and it would just be stuck on trade the whole game in which I can't do nothing to even finish the game unless I quit the game I was playing (I was doing so good too)

-Counterstrike 1.6 - kill an enemy or get killed and see their or your guy's body spasm violently afterwards in which it looks like they're stil alive but just spasming

-SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2 - I fell to my death when walking down stairs that had railings and were not steep

-Left for Dead - hide in the God room on No Mercy or go AFK during the game and wait for your guy to magically auto teleport near your teammates when you're stuck

Sonic Adventure using Big the Cat in the Ice Cap zone. If you keep yourself just under the water using the Floating Ring until the timer comes out. The moment the Timer is about to hit zero quickly rise to the surface! (Make sure you can hear the drowning sound effect) now you can walk around for a few seconds before the screen fades out lol.

Most glitches I run into are actually really useful (cloning items in FFIII, lol), or just plain amusing (walking through a treasure chest in Suikoden Tierkreis).

But I think the only three bad glitches I've had were:

-In Nightmare Troubadour, Pegasus won't show up anymore. I wanted his deck recipe T_T

-Walking through a dungeon in FFIII, and it suddenly freezes on me infront of a doorway. Hours of grinding down the drain T_T

-When I was little, I remember fooling around in SpongeBob games, and somehow I got stuck inside some things like platforms, lol.

My favorite is the aforementioned FFIII cloning glitch. I got over 5k at the beginning of the game using it.

In Super Mario World' date=' if you're crouching down beneath a cieling where you can't stand up fully, if you spin jump, you clip through the floor to your death.

I did that glitch before! Fun =D

There was one that I discovered COMPLETELY ON MY OWN! I even looked and NO ONE has ever found it before.

In Sonic 3 in Hydrocity Zone before the Boss Fight. You need to be Super Sonic to do this correctly. Right after Knuckles breaks the bridge, back up to the wall and begin a Dash (Down and Jump) and make a mad dash to the right. A SPLIT SECOND before the boss fight starts, Jump. Sonic's Jump Speed becomes insanely fast and he ACTUALLY SKIPS THE FIGHT COMPLETELY! You end up at the end level container with all of the animals and you actually still hear Eggman coming down and firing the bombs. After you clear the level, things start getting weird. The Big "SONIC" graphic in the results screen becomes a bunch of glitched symbols. Also, the level never actually ends.....you stay in that one spot (While you can still hear Eggman....) but the music has stopped playing. Also take note that Sonic is still transformed...which isn't supposed to happen. At this point, you really have no choice but to reset the game.

Favorite Glitch: Timesplitters 2 Training Ground location during Shrink mode. Become as small as possible and go into the waterfall. You will then go into a non-environment area and you can collect guns and weapons without being noticed or shot.

Least Favorite Glitch: Super Mario Sunshine at the watermill in Bianco Hills where if you keep on walking, you fall through the ground and die or get stuck there until exiting the area. Really annoying glitch>:(

Searching "Spyro 2 Glitches" or "Spyro 3 glitches" on youtube, shows alot of things you can do. alot of the ones you find, ive done/tried at least once.

And almost every wall in Mos Eisley, in Starwars Battlefront 2, is exploitable for "cheats"(though its quite funny how you can use force on people, when they cant get to you ;) )

Fav's:

1) Super Mario Sunshine: I don't remember how I did it, but I managed to time a launch just right so that I'd instead get hurt and fly straight to the top of the stage where I hit an invisible ceiling. :D Then I'd get stuck and either 1) Fludd shift and makes Mario look like an elephant 2) I get to use Rocket Nozzle as many times as I wanted in the air as long as I had the water to do it. :D

2) 007 Racing: Use the cheat to get unlimited ammo of every weapon, and go to the Highway level. Abuse the Nitro like hell. If you go fast enough, the car launches from anywhere from straight forward to straight up and anywhere in between. This results in either a jump forward, hitting the highway sign and losing a ton of health, or flying off the highway into an empty void and dying. It's pretty funny. :D

3) Pause Trick from MM1 (although I prefer not to use it).

4) Black Hole Glitch (it's been mentioned b4, so no need to delve further.)

  • 1 year later...

The best glitch I've ever done was from X-COM. In short, there was an enemy that turned my guys into mindless zombies and when you killed the 'zombie'... BANG!! new zombie maker. What I did was I mind-controlled the 'zombie' and then killed it to make the zombie maker appear under my control the next turn PERMANENTLY. In other words, those zombie makers were now next to useless as long as I was careful. I actually did a few tests and found new ways to use this glitch to instantly heal my guys so they wouldn't have to stay in the hospital if they got hurt (it takes forever for them to heal). Found this glitch by accident while messing around in the game. <_<
