They would be affected if they could be affected by Monster Effects, so they wouldn't be affected by your cards. Its like a worm try to attack a Bear. Only if the worm learned Kung Fu with Chuck Norris the worm would be able to defeat the Bear.

Yeah pretty much this.

Also Zero you must still specify what type of monster you are targeting. You can't just say effect monster and target a Reborn or H.S.

Well, you still have to make the Tuner for The O.C.G card That you didn't post it yet. Hell, here is an example:

"This card gains 500 ATK for each Tuner monster your opponent controls". That kind of effect, its a Tuner that get stronger with Tuner on your opponent's field. Like Graveyard or whatever.

@ aqua girl: kay, bye then. *hugs* ^^

@ topic: i would actually create 2 types. they would be hunter, and maverick. of course it wouldn't need to be just megaman related, but i could probably create about 10 sets of 100 cards each from all of the characters and events that take place in the various games that have come into existence thus far.

@ aqua girl: sure, i just need to check it out and confirm my interrest in it, then i can create an application for it.

@ kailyn: well what they bring to the game is a interesting perspective on things. imagine a world where the mavericks are trying to wipe out everything and create their own world and the hunters are trying to protect the world. it's kind of like that.

however, with effect wise, that would really be up to the card creator. many of them would be fitting for things such as piercing damage and defense.

for example, axl would have abilities that allow him to attack directly or do peircing damage, but he would also be able to take on the atk and def power, as well as the effect, of his opponent.

and then there is rainy turtloid who could be used to stop up to 2 attacks during a battle phase when it is not aimed at him. it actually show a lot of promise, imho.

@ Aqua Girl

Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather not...

Now...please stay on topic. Right now i'd rather not warn people since it's monday and I could care less...

@Zero

so far I see a good explanation of the creation of these card's effects...but I'm asking why they should be their own type. Think first (I'm saying this for your benefit of higher thought than common sense). Can they not already be classified as Warrior, Thunder, or Machine-type monsters? What makes them different? That's what matters.

As for On Topic -

I've technically created the Alchemist type despite cards like Dimensional Alchemist because I know that Alchemy like inventors utilize science. Not all Alchemists will fight in melee combat and not all will take a ranged stance. The main difference is that Alchemy isn't a magic, it's a science...to classify them as anything else is foolish.

Of course we realize this, Creator-san.

But if I may, would you be so kind as to remind us of another type you may or may not have worked on in the past?

@Aqua girl

I think I have...Absorber, wasn't it? I do say it looks impressive...I like where you are headed with it.

Sub-types are far easier to create than a full-fledged type though. Maybe not card maker wise but as far as the thought process used in new invention of a type...which is where the topic is.
