Sticky Application Thread

Recommended Posts

I send a PM to a mod requesting a sticky.

But then it gets stuck in his PM box, and it takes 4 days for the mod to actually sticky it.

These things are actually important (to some people), and they shouldn't have to wait 4 days while the mod is dealing with completely unimportant stuff.

I mean Fan Fic has one of these threads, why can't other places do too?

Whether or not a Thread is to be stickied or not, is solely the Moderators decision.

The thread may be important to you, but it is the Moderators decision that determines whether it is truely important for that forum.

If this feature even existed, I doubt it would ever be implemented. Everyone would believe that their thread is important enough to be stickied. Leave that job to the Moderators. The gratitude is better when the gift is given when not asked for.

If you don't ask then the Mods won't know that you want it stickied and therefore won't stick it. Mods aren't mind readers' date=' you have to let them know you want to be stickied.

i.e. If the thread actually is good, then the Moderator will actually notice it and sticky it.

No mods do not notice. You should be able to, ask a mod about it and get a response in an acceptable amount of time.

What makes you think filling out a form is going to make the response time any faster?

Why not RC though?

There are some really good card makers who just can't get attention because knobs are just posting too much...

Because RC, is just that. And we will not diminish and segragate other threads just to glorify some members. The stickies there will be saved for notices and discussions.
