SebastiaanZ
This is my new fanfic. Turn 1: Enter the Zone Turn 1 “Enter the Zone.” It is the year 2165. The world has changed since the era of Yugi Mutoh, Kamon McFlinn and Jaden Yuki has ended. New duellists have stand up, new legacies have begun and new strategies have been developed. New concepts have been developed and now the concept of lifepoints are no longer the only thing that count. Speed…… Speed is the new thing that counts. Speed is what pulls someone through, speed is what you need to defeat your opponent quicker. Speed is what you need to achieve victory these days. In the light of the Turbo Duelling Spirit, people will try to exceed their limits, accel onto higher grounds and become the fastest. These days, the Company is the company that took over the rule of Duel-Monsters. They invented the more higher quality Duel-Runners and Duel-Boards. They also are the inventors of the electronical security system that protects the most inventive and costly project ever built in the world nowadays. The Three Cities… In the year 2100, the first was built in an attempt to create a new perfect society where new life could begin. The first megacity was built in 18 years, somewhere around the middle of the ocean. People were transported there and those who wanted to live there were allowed to live. Some others had no choise as their companies had placed them there. The first megacity, called Xeos, was inhabited by 4,5 million people and there was still room for more. In 2119, the Company financed along with influental companies in the world, the structuring and building of the second megacity, called Arios. Like Xeos, people either could choose to go to Arios or be placed there by their executives. Also the first prison camps were set up there along with a new range of high-tech Duel-Arena`s and Colliseums. This was the city where the Company had built their first high-tech security system controlled by one single computer. Xeos would follow soon. The finishing of Arios took another 18 years. In 2127, when Arios and Xeos were succesfully miniature economies, the company decided to built a third megacity, this time called Galacios. Like Xeos and Arios, Galacios gained the same high-tech security system as them built by the Company. People came and went. Then in the year 2146, a tragedy takes place. Due to a mechanical fault in the system, the security system of Xeos goes haywire and due to the extensive reach of this system, many defenses are activated, resulting in a mass slaughter of the civillian community. Story goes, the security system went on high alert and activated all possible defenses. Allmost 95% of the population of Xeos was killed. Arios and Galacios are put on high alert as well, but their systems have not undergone haywire or mechanical faults. The lives of many people are in danger now, but the UN, influenced by the Company, decide not to undertake action against the megacities. Nowadays, Xeos is ruled by the criminals that survived the unslaught. While the security system is still online, it is ruled by the criminal warlords at Xeos. The few people that have survived the unslaught as well and not being criminals are now being hunted by the same system that was supposed to protect them. It is impossible to get off the megacity. The wall that has been raised around the borders of the megacity are solid and no drill can get through it. The Security System eliminates all possible threads. But still there is hope. There is hope on a better life. Hope on a way to get off this megacity and live in the normal world again. We have to find a way. But as long as we have hope and the light continues to exist in our hearts, we can keep believing there once will be a time we can get out of this place. Until then we fight. --------------- Celesta Arena, Galacios Opponent – 200 [sPC: 2]Arena King – 3600 [sPC: 6] Two Duel-Runners were speeding around the oval arena. One Duel-Runner was red and white and was based around a normal motor cycle with the dueldisk part mounted in the front along with the monitor and the cardholder on the side. The autopilot was on. It was being followed by a black, three-wheeled gigantic motor cycle. In the front was some kind of dragon`s head and the man riding the motor cycle was a big man, with black hair. “I activate the Speed Spell, Speed Spell – Speed Fusion,” the black haired man on the black Duel-Runner said and behind him was the red-black Red Dragon Archfiend (3000/2000). “Now by fusing Red Dragon Archfiend along with my Luster-Dragon #2 and the Bomber Dragon, Spirit Ryo and Vice Dragon from my hand, I can Special Summon my ace, my soul and life, Five God Dragon (5000/5000).” The gigantic light brown five-headed dragon appeared behind him, roaring loudly. “How …… how did you manage to get one?” the man on the blue white Duel-Runner asked the black haired man. “That card is supposed to be extinct.” “Unfortunately for you, I have good connections in high places that actually granted me that card,” the black haired man said and he pointed to his opponent. “And now I will use the very same card to destroy your undefeated record of 10 wins. Five God Dragon, Elemental Cascade!” “Reveal Negate Attack!” the opponent orders as his facedown card flips up. “Do not think so,” the black haired man on his oversized Duel-Runner counters. “Reveal my trap card, Thousand Fire! By paying 1000 lifepoints I can negate and destroy all cards that counter my monster`s attack. Begone, you fool!” The five-way blast of Five God Dragon hit the opponent on the red and white Duel-Runner, lowering his lifepoints to 0. The display on the Duel-Runner displayed DEFEAT and the Runner shut down. The opponent picksed up his helmet and lifted it over his head. Man – 0 [sPC: 0]Arena King – 2400 [sPC: 6] “And so the great Arena King of the Celesta Arena wins his 15th duel in a row. All stand up for the one, the only ……. Spencer Jivo!” the PA announced as the two Duel-Runners came to a halt in front of the main stands, filled with audience. “How well his opponent, Tyrene Skorr, tried to stop him, the Arena King Spencer was able to overcome him.” “Now who is the king?!” the black haired man asked loud and the crowd cheered by calling him by his name. His opponent on the blue and white Duel-Runner had fully removed his helmet and was revealed to be a girl. Her long brown hair went across her back down to her wraist. Her blue eyes eyed down on the Arena King while checking her Duel-Runner. “Good game, King,” Tyrene mocked Spencer. “They seem not to be to eager to rekindle their relationship,” the PA announced. “As you might know and some of you might not, Tyrene Skorr and Spencer Jivo are archrivals of each other since the beginning of their duelling careers.” Tyrene and Spencer were forced into shaking hands in front of the audience while both of them had looks that could kill. “I’ll win next time, Zivo,” Tyrene tells her opponent as she places her helmet on the Duel-Runner. “You wish,” Spencer laughed out loud and looked around. “Look around. Only in 6 months you will be able to enter the Celesta Arena again. In 6 months when you have a small possibility of challenging me again in the Celestial Cup.” Spencer turned around and was about to head for the exit, when Tyrene called out for him. “I will be there then,” Tyrene yelled after him as she sat down on her Duel-Runner and headed back in the opposite direction. Where she was heading, was another man standing. This man wears a scarf around his head and he had brown eyes. He wears a bomber jacket and blue pants and a T-Shirt with some rockband called The Scarfs on it. “You did fine out there,” the man with the scarf told Tyrene. “I told your boss I am not interested already,” Tyrene bites back. The man with the scarf pulled out a device from his pocket and showed Tyrene the holographic image of a boy on a Duel-Runner. The holographic image was blue colored, but the boy resembled in a way Tyrene. “Where was that taken?” “Three days ago,” the man with the scarf tells Tyrene. “Three days ago a Scout-Bot picked this up. My boss volunteers to help you help him out. However he wants something in return.” “Tell him I am not interested,” Tyrene started her Duel-Runner and was about to drive off. “And if he ever tries to bother me again, he should come in person.” “If that is really what you want,” the man with the scarf said and he put away his device, while seeing Tyrene riding away on her Duel-Runner. He shakes his head and then turns around again, facing the arena. He watched while Spencer makes a ride of honor through the arena, before exiting again. “We hope to see you all back in two weeks, when the Arena King takes up arms against Kensei Shinmaru,[/i]” he hears the PA announce while he walks away, heading for another exit. --------------------- -- XEOS, DEAD ZONE -- It was cold and very empty. Everywhere where you looked were heaps of steel or the surviving pieces of houses and buildings. This was the zone on Xeos, people like to call the Dead Zone. A place in which no communication is available, where if you were being chased down, you would be on your own. The Dead Zone was a big piece of the mega city Xeos, which due to the Catastrophe, turned into one wasteland of steel. The silence that ruled the Dead Zone at Xeos was disturbed when in the distance a Duel-Runner came down the ‘road’. This Duel-Runner was colored oddly, as it had many colors, but they could change anytime, making it more shinier and everything as it run along. The person riding the Duel-Runner was wearing a thick jacket and gloves to keep the cold out. He stops at one side, where a small heap of steel was being placed and he touched the surface. A mechanical device came from the ground, holding a piece of paper. The person stepped from the Duel-Runner, picked the paper and looked at it. “Good morning Darren,” the person read from the paper. “Hope you have slept well tonight - yeah sure – and you find this letter before it falls in the wrong hands. Yesterday, Robochasers have found our hideout. We had to move in order to avoid capture. Go to the bridge, you know which one to meet us. If you go we go with you. Love, Maya and Slike.” The person put the paper in his pocket and pulled of his helmet. He was revealed to have black spiky hair. He placed his helmet on the Duel-Runner and looked around for any signs of being followed, after which he pressed another piece of steel. The ground looked like it was parting as a hole appeared, with stairs leading down. The person looked around again and picked the Duel-Runner and dragged it down the stairs. When the black spiky haired boy came at the final step, he was revealed to be standing in a room with computer screens. He placed his Duel-Runner just alongside the table and connected it with his computers through a USB-cable. The screens lighted on and a message was revealed: HELLO DARREN. Computer: HAVE YOU HAD A GOOD TRIP? “Pretty good indeed,” the man, apparantly being Darren. “I got us some supplies from a nearby gangster store. They were not home, so there was no need for duelling or getting out fast.” Computer: HOW ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR PLAN? “I scouted the perimeter today twice,” Darren sat down in front of the screens. “Which reminds me. Have you been able to download the blue prints and maps from the SECSYS’s mainframe?” Computer: HAVE DONE SO, DARREN. UNDETECTED. SECSYS`S DIGITAL DEFENSES ARE NO MATCH FOR ME. IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, JUST GIVE A SIGNAL. “A shock will do fine I guess,” Darren smirked as he typed away on his keyboard. Outside no communication and electric devices would work. In his hideout, it would. Thanks to a network of bots he set up around the Dead Zone, he could keep an overview over what happened inside the Dead Zone and be warned when SECSYS, the Security System that caused this Catastrophe, 9 years ago, would have his forces near his hideout. Worser were the gangs that made an agreement with SECSYS, with those clankers. The gangs were all criminal and the biggest of them each ruled a quadrant of Xeos. However no gang ever tried to come in and take over the Dead Zone. SECSYS and those gangs were the only thing Darren had to keep in mind if he ever wanted to execute his plan. Darren opened the fridge and placed a couple of boxes inside it. He altered the temperature on the digital display and then picked another box, which was already in. Opening the box showed there was a frozen pizza inside it. An original pizza, which thanks to the state of the art technology was still eatable even though it was made 6 months ago. Darren opened an oven and placed the pizza inside it, opening a program and setting it on. Darren walked back to the table with all the computer screens on them and then checked the letter again he pulled from the mechanical device. He opened a program on his computer and put in some coordinates and the programm searched for a moment, before starting to zoom in onto a bridge. “Where are you?” Darren typed in a command. He then saw two dots appearing. He smiled. “You are to much in the open.” At that moment two happy bunny-like faces appear on the screen and causing the rest of the image to go haywire. “That`s my girl,” Darren continued to talk in the open. He walked around the table, picked another box-like device from the other side of the table and opened it. There were five switches in it, three of them turned down. He looked at the fourth switch, took a breath and pulled it down. A green light went on at the bottom of the device and he picked a cable next to it inserting it into a hightech notebook he had on the left side of the table. The notebook was only a keyboard and a glass screen. When Darren put it on, the glass screen projected an image of the program. He opened a program called Online Duel Community (ODC) and entered a private chatroom. He saw six more people were inside the chatroom. Dreammaster: Has any of us entered an IP-scrambler? Darren had logged in from his own account, called Duelmonz. He looked at his box-like device and smirked before entering his message into the chatroom.Duelmonz: Yeah, I have.Dreammaster: So are you still planning on doing the impossible?Duelmonz: As a matter of fact I am planning on doing so. I have maps and blue prints ready.Clankcrusher: Clankers raided our property yesterday. Just tomorrow I was able to escape when sicko`s tried to capture me and my brotherDuelmonz: Good to see you are still alive then. Darren smiled. Clankers were the forces of the SECSYS, mainly mechanical forces. You had Robochasers, the main group you, as a civillian on the run, had to be afraid of. Robochasers were robotic duellists. Both on Duel-Runner and ground duels. You also had various bots that controlled areas and the robots which were more on the offense and mass slaughters instead of handling stuff like humans would do it, duelling or any other unharming way. Dreammaster: I have heard that one of the safehouses in Nuelland has been raided by the Aratillia-Clan. From what I heard is that from the 24 people that resided in that safehouse, only 5 have been able to escape.Clankcrasher: Duelmonz; Flowy and Raia were there, were they not?Duelmonz: Yes, they were indeed. However they have been able to send me a message indicating they are somewhere else now. Remember the situation 9 years ago when the clankers came?Dreammaster: We do, at least I do. Is that where you will be heading? Before you put in place your real plan?Duelmonz: It is a start. I have to move from east to west. It will take a while, but I am going to do it. I am going to the impossible.FLOWY LOGS INFlowy: ODC is not safe now. They have raided a ODC base. Log off now. Duelmonz, I will be seeing you soon.Dreammaster, Duelmonz and Clankcrasher: Thanks for the heads-up. See you later. Darren pulled out the plug, logged off, put away the IP-scrambler and put the laptop back on a shelve. While picking a digital book from another shelve, he sat down on a bank and started reading in the book. He looked at the wall in the room next to his computer room and saw the digital board with green and red lights hanging there. There was a big mass of green lights, indicating the Dead Zone and it being safe now, while the red lights indicated the border between the Dead Zone and the rest of Xeos. ---------------------- -- XEOS, OMEGA DISTRICT – Omega District once was the gloring business part of Xeos. Here most of the trade was done and many business men had their shops and went for a coffee and held conferences and stuff. Now, all those shops were either destroyed and replaced by cold steel buildings, with windows that were so small, that it hardly let through any light. Not much aside of the obvious changed. There were no people on the streets. There are patrolling robots, humanoid robots, both being armed with guns and dueldisks. There are also free humans. These humans, either are slaves of SECSYS or work for the crimelords and clans. These humans are only allowed short time outside, to get some fresh air. Even SECSYS realizes the humans, their slaves, must be held in condition in order to make it work. These humans have no choise. Either work or die or duel till you die in order to generate energy or for the sake of experiments and training for the SECSYS forces. And then there is the worst group. Humans, but not completely human. Enhanced humans that would be able to infiltrate in the society that the people that are still hiding at Xeos. Humans that have betrayed their own humanity, their own kind to survive. Or they had no choise and SECSYS used their DNA in order to create an army of enhanced humans with their DNA being implemented into robotic bodies. Hybrids, androids you could call them. And this same district, the Omega District, is the very thing you have to get through if you ever are thinking of breaking out of Xeos. Because the Omega District has the only link to the outside world. No-one has ever succeeded in getting out of there. No plan ever made, has gotten anyone out of there. It is impossible. --- On a platform overlooking the Omega District, lit by torches, a man in a brown cloak stands. Three more mechanical knights were standing behind him, holding guard against any possible intruders. As he overlooked the district, a pair of footsteps was heard coming up the stairs. The man turns around. “General Vixix,” a voice came from the stairs and the man, apparantly being General Vixix, turned around. Under the cloak the general wore machinery. Instead of his right eye he had a mechanical eye with sensors and wires going under his mechanical armor. “We have just gotten confirmation from a source near the Dead Zone, there are possible intruders there.” “Human?” the general asked the man who came up the stairs. The man who came up the stairs was dressed in a simple black outfit, totally outmatching the outfit of the general. The man holds his head still. “You don’t know?” “We are not sure,” the man said. There was no sign of any mechanical part on his body. He looked like he was completely human. “Should we send a Scout-ship in order to check it out?” “You know protocol,” the general ordered. “Annihilate and destroy those who stand up against us. Bring those who do not resist. They might have valuable information on the other hiding humans. Inform the clans a price has been put on each human brought dead or alive to the Omega District.” The other man bowed. “It will be done, general.” -------------------- -- XEOS, OUTSIDE THE DEAD ZONE – Darren was on his Duel-Runner, leaving the border of the Dead Zone behind him. He turned around and picked a small handheld device from his pocket. It had 9 switches on it and he put a code in. at the small screen the code was hidden by 6 dots. He looked up and surveyed the surroundings before he stepped onto his Duel-Runner and started his engine. When he drives off a small globe enters the scene from above. It had one antenna and was completely black except for a lens which was some kind of eye. It turned around its axe and then a green light started to bleep on top of the antenna. From the clouds above the bot, a bot from the Scan-class so called Scanbots, a ship entered the surface. It was a rectangular ship with an oval bridge and various hatches. Two cannons were mounted on the back and one heavy cannon was mounted on the front. “Release Robochasers!” a female voice ordered from the inside as the hatches opened and mechanical lifeforms entered the area. It were simple robots mounted on Duel-Runners, which were all standard and built in multiples. They were with 16. Darren was oblivious to these events as he keeps driving on and the Robochasers are going into the Dead Zone. The ship that released the Robochasers also flew up again, which marked a weird happening as there was a clear human fleeing from the scene. Darren just passed a destroyed building when a second ship appeared from around the corner with the heavy cannon pointed directly at Darren. Darren noticed it and he made a slip, which turned his Duel-Runner around and gassed up, being able to escape the shot the ship fired. “Oh sheet,” Darren said and he turned around the corner as the ship missed him by an inch. “Why do they get upgrades all the time?” As he speeds of in the rocky alley , the ship flies above it opening its hatches and releasing Robochasers. As Darren speeds off further, the Robochasers start moving in on him, while the ship flies far above them. The sixteen Robochasers that were released closed in on him. “Try to get me now,” Darren challenged them loudly as he drives into a tunnel and the Robochasers chased after him, however the tunnel was not high enough to let them all get in, which resulted in a couple of decasipated Robochasers, not that Darren cared. Darren smiled and raced for the exit, seeing a light. “Lets head to the bridge,” Darren said loud and when he arrived in the open again, he was surrounded bu another pack of 16 Robochasers. He could not go back as the other Robochasers arrived on his back. He stopped in his tracks and looked for a way out. “Seems I am cornered.” “So it is him,” a female voice said from behind the row of first Robochasers and they parted as another Duel-Runner came riding up. It was silver and golden, had a flaming design and her dueldisk was placed upwards instead of sidewards. “Who are you?” Darren asked the rider. “I am Z,” the female duellist tells him and her face was masked by a visor that had a sunlike design. Her outfit consisted of a red-yellow overcoat. Her visor on her head was covered by a golden helmet that went down to the back, ending in a sharp spike. There were small parts of blonde hair coming from below the helmet. She put her Duel-Runner right next to Darren`s. “So who are you?” Darren asked the female. “You know my name now,” the female named Z said. “You know who I am from. I command this platoon from the Omega District. We are renowned Human Hunters. Platoon 501.” She tapped on a couple of buttons and the Robochasers closed in on Darren. “I am not afraid of you,” Darren said and he gassed up his engines. “I can easely outrun you.” He gassed up even more and was about to blow off when a Robochaser pushed a pole in the wheel, which made it stop on its place. Darren tepped off pretty quickly and tackled one of the stepped off Robochasers. He picked the pole from the Robochaser and slammed it into another one. Having knocked out two of the Robochasers, Darren turned around to face the others. However when they approached him, he jumped back on the Duel-Runner and started it with a kick. “Stop!” Z commanded as the Robochasers chased after Darren and they stopped in their tracks. She drives in front of them and smiled from below her visor. “I know what you want.” “I want to escape here,” Darren acknowledges. “But first I want to make some things right. I know what you think I want, Z, but are you sure you are of my level?” He was pretty confident despite being outnumbered. “I am far above your level, Darren,” Z counters and she gasses up her engine. “We duel. We duel in a Speed Duel with stakes. If I win you come with me quietly. When you win, I give you 5 minutes head start before chasing after you.” She smiled as she pushed a button at her Duel-Runner and Speed World 2 was activated. “Speed World 2, forced SECSYS activation,” Darren`s Duel-Runner bleeped. “Auto-pilot online, duel systems all go.” Darren smiled and he pulled his card-gauntlet to his side, picking five cards from his deck. He drives off with Z right behind him. “You cannot outrun me,” Z commented and she picked her first five cards from her deck as well. “This will be a victory for SECSYS!” DUEL! Darren – 4000 [sPC: 0]Z – 4000 [sPC: 0] “Let me start off,” Darren said and he pulled a sixth card from his deck. “I summon Lunar Wolf Warrior (1400/800) in attack mode.” A brown clad warrior with a wolf`s head and a rainbow-colored belt around its middle, wielding a staff appeared at the left of his Duel-Runner. “So you have warriors in your deck?” Z commented as she looked amused. At that moment she pulled a card from her deck. “What the hell are you doing?” Darren protested. “I wield a Solar God deck,” Z counters as a defense. “As long as I have 2 or more Solar God cards in my hand, I can draw 1 additional card each turn. However when the drawn card is not a Solar God, I must remove it from play and get a blow of 300 lifepoints of damage to my lifepoints.” She showed the card to be a monster card. “Yeah, well anyway,” Darren gulped in some fresh air as he picked a card from his hand. “I play the Speed Spell – Brick Break, which can be activated when I have 0 Speed-Counters placed on Speed World 2. I can pay 1000 lifepoints (4000 -> 3000) to gain 2 Speed-Counters.” Darren speeds ahead of Z, leaving the Dead Zone even further away and entered a formerly rural area. The flats which were on both sides of the road, were crushed and Darren did not even bother to look around for eventual spectators as he knew there were non. Not in these times. “He is up ahead in Speed-Counters,” Z smiles. “Well that does not matter. He is done for anyway.” “Now since I now do have 2 Speed-Counters, I can activate the Speed Spell – Moon Envoy. By reducing my Speed-Counters by 2, I can increase the ATK of one of my Wolf Warriors by 500 (1400/800 -> 1900/800),” Darren smiled as his Lunar Wolf Warrior gained the attack boost. “Now I end my turn.” “Fine then,” Z smiles and picks a new card from her deck. “Since I still hold two Solar God monsters I can draw an additional card, which means I hold eight cards in my hand now. Now I summon Solar God Crusader (1700/600) in attack mode.” A black armored warrior appeared on the field, holding a big sword and his face was masked by a single mask. His red eyes were seen through it. “Now that is one ugly warrior,” Darren acknowledges. He was happy how his Speed-Counters had risen to 1, like Z`s. They both turned around a corner into a big business street. “Now let me introduce you to a portion of the power of my Solar God Crusader. Attack his Lunar Wolf Warrior!” Z ordered as the black armored warrior went in for a strike and shattered Lunar Wolf Warrior to pieces, lowering Darren `s lifepoints to 2900. “When Lunar Wolf Warrior is destroyed, I can Special Summon Shadow Wolf Warrior (1500/900) in attackmode from my deck or hand,” Darren commented as a black armored and dressed like the Lunar Wolf Warrior. “Now further since my Speed Spell – Moon Envoy is destroyed, I gain 1 Speed-Counter [sPC: 1 -> 2].” “And another cockroach takes its place,” Z comments. “You never wondered why you lost that battle?” “I know the Solar God archetype,” Darren counters. “I know about their dangerous effects. But I remembered the Crusader`s effect all to well and which is why I wanted you to defeat my Lunar Wolf Warrior. You see, now I gain 400 lifepoints per turn as long as that card remains in the graveyard and Shadow Wolf Warrior on the field (2900 -> 3300).” “Grrr,” Z was mad. She was outmaneauvred by Darren. “I place 3 face down cards and end my turn.” “Good, then I draw,” Darren said as he picked a new card, his Speed-Counters rose [sPC: 2 -> 3]. He turned around another corner and Z completely missed that corner. She picked up Darren`s trace in the next street. Darren was able to avoid hitting a rusted flower basket, before looking at his four card hand. “Drawn any good?” Z mocked. “I cannot activate the Solar God ability, but I don’t mind.” “First I gain 400 lifepoints (3300 -> 3700) thanks to Lunar Wolf Warrior,” Darren smiled and then he placed another monster card on his field. “I summon Twilight Rider (800/500).” A warrior, wielding two swords appeared at his right side. He was riding on some kind of motor cycle with two engines and completely black. “A Tuner,” Z adds. “So you are planning on using Synchro Summoning?” “Oh yes,” Darren added as he avoided a burned bench. Twilight Rider became one star and then a green ring enveloping Shadow Wolf Warrior. “The hope of existence arises. Stars cross, dragons roar. Synchro Summon! Eclipse Lancer!” The new warrior that appeared from the Synchro Gate.was a red-blue, two swords wielding warrior, who had Middle aged armor and helmet. He has a moon symbol on top of his helmet. “The infamous Eclipse Lancer,” Z seems to recognise the card. “I have seen that card before.” “You might have heard of its ability then,” Darren commented as Lunar Wolf Warrior reappeared on the field. “Now further thanks to Twilight Rider`s effect, I can place a Counter of any kind at any card. I choose to place a Speed-Counter on Speed World 2 [sPC: 3 -> 4]. Thanks to Eclipse Lancer I can summon a Level-4 or below Warrior-type Monster from my graveyard to the field. Then Eclipse Lancer gains 200 attack points per Warrior-type monster on my field (2400/1200 -> 2800/1200).” “You certainly have chosen a good strategy,” Z admits. “But I, as a member and commander from SECSYS will be far superior to you. You see I have anticipated a move like this.” “Well, show me later,” Darren said while turning around a corner and finding himself face to face with a wide gap in the road. Below the road was a destroyed mall. He took his chance and jumped into the mall, with Z and three Robochasers following him. “I equip my Eclipse Lancer with this, Junk Fist, a trap card that functions as an equip card to a Synchro Monster on my field.” “And I reveal my trap card, Solar Storm. A continuous one who actually allows me to deal 300 lifepoints per turn to you plus an additional 100 when my Solar God`s special abilities activate,” Z smiles as Darren`s lifepoints drop to 3400 “Junk Fist allows me to make all monster invulnarable to battles,” Darren explained the effect of his new card to Z, who seemed uninterested. “But seeing your face, I guess you probably knew that already?” “Whoah, you figured something out,” Z acted liked she was surprised. “Let`s just say I am a type of person that can read faces,” Darren said and he looked at his hand. “Hmmm, these seem fine. I set 1 card and end my turn.” As Z was about to draw her card, her SPC-counter raises to 3, while Darren`s counter raises to 5. She smiled as her facedown card flipped up and a sun appeared above it. As they passed an antique store, she took a gulp of fresh air and looked to Darren. “I have activated the trap card Speed of the Sun, allowing me to add 1 “Solar God” monster from my deck to my hand,” she shifted through her deck and picked a card. “However I cannot activate their effects thanks to Speed of the Sun. But I do however activate another facedown card of mine. Sun Flash!” “What does it do?” “When I Normal, Flip or Special Summon a Solar God monster from my hand or deck, you must discard a card from your hand,” Z explains. “Like now. I summon Solar God – Aura Traveller (800/1300).” As a girl in ninja-clothes appeared with golden flaming eye. “Nice try, but unfortunately,” Darren intervenes as his face down card flips up. “I have this. Brick Hole!” A hole appeared in the ground and was about to suck up Aura Traveler, when Aura Traveler was surrounded by a golden glow. She floated far above the hole without being touched by it. Darren turned around facing Z directly. He was angry, that was for sure. “What kind of cheating is this?” “It is called a special effect,” Z explains as the eyes of the Aura Traveler glowed and the Brick Hole trap card was blown up. “Its summoning cannot be negated or countered. Which is the second special ability my Solar Gods have.” “And it is a Tuner…..” Darren realizes and sees how Aura Traveler turns into two stars and becoming two green rings, preparing the Synchro Summoning ritual. “Correct,” Z agrees and she smiles. “The sun fires its flames, the aura grows brighter. From the sky the flame falls! Synchro Summon! Solar God – Aura Caster (2800/2300)!” A warrior lady in golden flaming outfit approaches from the Synchro Gate. She wears a yellow-red mask with two bolts sticking from either side. “I assume summoning of that card cannot be negated?” Darren mocked. “Get a cookie because you are right,” Z said while making a sharp turn in order to avoid a heap of steel. “Like the others, Aura Caster`s summoning cannot be negated or countered. Also I can place 1 Flash-Counter on a card on my field per turn. Which means I place another counter on Sun Flash. Which means there are now two Counters on it.” She smiled as her card lighted up more. “You’ll find out what it does later.” “So is that all?” Z turns around a corner, heading for an exit of the underground mall and Darren was right behind him. “No as I activate this trap card, Solar Sword I, a trap card that becomes an equip card when it is activated. I equip it to Aura Caster (2800/2300 -> 3200/2600). Now Aura Caster, destroy that Eclipse Lancer! Aura Sphere Attack!” As the Lancer was impaled by the many spheres released by the Aura Caster, Darren`s lifepoints are lowered to 3300. Darren was driven back by the force of the attack. He was barely able to stand but he kept himself on the Duel-Runner while gassing up to keep up with Z. “Now I end my turn,” Z said. Darren – 3000 [sPC: 5]Z – 4000 [sPC: 3] “Then it is my turn,” Darren announces as he picks a new card and his Speed-Counters raise to 6, while Z`s Speed-Counters raise to 4. “I play Speed Spell – Monster Reborn. When I have 5 or more Speed-Counters I can bring back a Monster from the graveyard.” “Which means Eclipse Lancer returns?” Z asked the obvious. “It does mean that in fact,” Darren agrees. As his warrior returns to the field, Darren flips out another card from his hand, which currently has 1 more card. “I activate Speed Spell – Devil`s Curse. By removing 5 Speed-Counters from Speed World 2, I can force you to discard your entire hand and deal 500 lifepoints of damage to you per card. Say bye-bye to your three cards!” “Damned,” Z grumbles as she ditches her three cards and her lifepoints drop to 2500. “You have had real luck this time.” “Well there is another backlash on Speed Spell – Devil`s Curse. I have to select 1 monster in my deck and remove it from play until the third turn after activation of this card,” Darren saw how his deck spawned out a card without him to pick a card. He looked at it and he smiled. ‘I don’t know how, but my deck has answered to me with given out this card, my soul.’ “Well, what have you chosen?” Z asked smiling. She did not know what kind of card he has drawn, but she could handle it. She did not have a happy hunting since long time. She feels excited. “Your excitement reminds me of someone, which is impossible, but anyway,” Darren concludes his turn. “I am not telling what card I removed from play, but I do place 1 card facedown and end my turn.” He slid back comfortably back in his seat and looks at Z. She reminds him of someone, he could not get to who she reminded him. “Fine then,” Z smiles and picks a new card from her deck, as her Speed-Counters raise to 5 and Darren`s to 2. “I first activate Solar Storm, dealing you another 300 lifepoints (3000 -> 2700) which was still on my field. Then I activate the Speed Spell – Aura Force.” “I heard of that card before,” Darren agrees and he looks up. “It is a dangerous card, but with your deck it could work out perfectly.” “Yes, it means the effects of my Solar Gods cannot be activated during the turn Aura Force is activated,” Z explains and her Aura Caster is surrounded by a golden glow. “However when I attack a monster, I can automatically destroy it. So Aura Caster attack his Eclipse Lancer and destroy it! Aura Sphere Attack!” As the many spheres released by the spellcaster-monster destroyed the lancer. “Don’t worry,” Darren assures Z and he smiles. “You have not seen the last of him yet.” “We’ll see. I end my turn,” Z turns around a corner, before Darren could, so she took another lead. Darren – 2700 [sPC: 2]Z – 2500 [sPC: 5] “Then I continue the duel with my turn,” Darren picks a new card from his deck and inserts a card in his dueldisk-part of his Duel-Runner, while his Speed-Counters raise to 3 and Z`s Speed-Counters to 6. “I activate the Speed Spell, Speed Spell – Pot of Greed, to draw 2 cards when I have 2 or more Speed-Counters on Speed World 2.” “Now you have three cards again,” Z thinks out loud. “I have seen this move before. But where? You seem familiar to me.” “I activate Speed Draft, which can be activated when I draw it due to a Spell Card,” Darren inserts a second card in his deck. “I can double my Speed-Counters [6]. Now I pay 4 Speed-Counters in order to deal 800 lifepoints of damage to you per Speed Spell in your hand. I hold one, so you lose 800 lifepoints (2500 -> 1700). Thanks to Speed World 2.” “And I deal 300 lifepoints of damage to you thanks to Solar Storm (2700 -> 2400),” Z tells him. Darren`s speed was slowed down thanks to losing 4 Speed-Counters. “Yeah, but I am not done yet as I activate my Speed Spell, Speed Spell – Sanctity Greed. For every card I control, including this card I can draw 1 card,” Darren explains while his last card in his hand is inserted in his dueldisk and it flips up on the field. He draws 1 card. “So did it do any good?” “In fact it does,” Darren said making a sharp u-turn, still trying to get away from Z. “I summon Lunar Guardna (1100/1500) in defense mode.” A golden blue armored with half moons encrested warrior appeared at his side in a crouching position. “With this move, I end my turn.” “Good, then I continue if you don’t mind,” Z tells Darren as her Speed-Counters raise to 6 and Darren`s to 3. “I first activate the effect of Solar Storm dealing you 300 lifepoints of damage plus 100 per Solar God on the field.” She looks at her hand which now contains 3 cards with the drawn card. “I still have Aura Force on the field,” Z started and she smiled, while being behind Darren. “However I give it up along with Solar Sword I, in order to activate and equip Solar Sword II from my deck to my Aura Caster.” Both the Speed Spell and the trapcard disappear from the field and a new sword was equipped to Aura Caster. “And now I place 1 more Flash-Counter on my Sun Flash.” “What does that card do?” Darren wonders. “Like I am going to tell you,” Z smiled and points at Lunar Guardna. “Aura Caster attack his Lunar Guardna now! Aura Sphere Attack!” The attack was launched against Lunar Guardna who was incinerated by the spheres. However Aura Caster became surrounded by a golden glow. “What is happening?” “The effect of Lunar Guardna,” Darren explains. “When it is destroyed by a Synchro Monster, it drags it with him into the grave.” He smiles while being ahead of Z. “And I was ready in case that might happen,” Z smiled and points at her Sun Flash card. “There are four counters on it now. I send it to the graveyard with the four counters and Special Summon Solar God – Flare Summoner (1000/500) in defense mode. Plus I pay 1000 lifepoints in order to activate the Aura Rebirth trap card from my hand (1700 -> 700), which allows us both to Special Summon 1 Monster to the field. I choose to summon Solar God – Aura Traveler in defense mode to the field.” Her second monster reappears on the field. “Your tuner again,” Darren sighs and he shifts through his graveyard. “I Special Summon Eclipse Lancer back to the field. Since you did not specify what kind of monster, it does not matter.” His trusted and favorite monster returns to the field. “And so my turn comes to an end,” Z concludes her turn. ‘If I can only survive one more turn, I have him where I want him. He can’t be able to summon another ace in his turn. It is almost impossible.’ She turns to look at Darren, almost losing her balance, but she could herself up. Darren – 2100 [sPC: 4]Z – 700 [sPC: 7] “And so I begin my sixth turn already,” Darren tells with a dramatic tone. “I draw.” He picks a new card as his Speed-Counters raise to 5 and Z`s to 8. His hand held one card again. “Great, just the card I need. I summon Twinlight Dragon (1400/1000) in attackmode.” A two-colored dragon with the colors seperated in the middle appeared on his side of the field. It was as big as Darren and his Duel-Runner together. One side of the body was white while the other was black. It was a little smaller then Eclipse Lancer and his horned head held two fiery golden eyes. “A tuner,” Z realized with a shock. ‘Damn, he does have an ace up on his sleeve. He can go for a Level-8 Synchro Monster if he wishes now.’ “You guessed it right. With this tuner I can summon what I want, the engine to your defeat,” Darren raised his hand and the Twinlight Dragon became three stars turning into three green rings, enveloping Eclipse Lancer. “I tune in Twinlight Dragon with Eclipse Lancer.” “What power!” Z comments as the winds were coming up and the Synchro Gate appearing made the earth vibrate. “With the light of hope, a new savior stands up. My soul, the bringer of fear to my enemies! Synchro Summon! Appear Thousand Star Dragon!” Darren chanted as a gigantic silver with black accents covered dragon appeared from the Synchro Gate. The dragon (3000/2500) roared loudly as it looms over the two defending Solar God monsters of Z. Z was taken aback by the appearance of the dragon, whose horned wings covered almost most of the street they were in now. “That is your ace?” Z groaned. “Yes,” Darren nods. “And now by activating Twinlight Dragon`s effect. While being used for Synchro Summoning, I can select and add 1 card from my deck to my hand.” He picks up a card from his deck. “First I activate the effect of Thousand Star Dragon, halving your lifepoints (700 -> 350).” “Is that all?” Z asks nervously. She had seen that dragon before, she could not remember from where. “No,” Darren continues. He points at Thousand Star Dragon flying at his side. “First I equip it with Synchro Boost, the card I gained thanks to Twinlight Dragon. My Thousand Star Dragon gains 500 ATK per Synchro Monster in the graveyard, which is only Eclipse Lancer at the moment (3000/2500 -> 3500/2500).” The dragon was equipped with two black-red gauntlets at both paws. “And now, being assured of enough attack points for the next turn,” Darren finishes his move. “I halve my lifepoints (1800 -> 900) and select 1 monster on the field. I choose your Solar God – Aura Traveller and deal 200 lifepoints of damage per levelstar it has!” “Haha,” Z sniggered. She flips out a card from her deck and removes it from play. “I remove an Aura Ghost from my deck from play in order to negate this effect damage.” Z smiled as her lifepoints were safe from effect damage. “Yes,” Darren smiled. “You are good indeed. You are worthy of being called a Human Hunter. But this ends here. I declare a Victory Draw.” “You declare a Victory Draw?” Z wonders why. A Victory Draw was when one player has 1500 or less lifepoints and 0 cards in the hand. The one who declares the Victory Draw bets the duel on the draw he places now. When in the End Phase the lifepoints of the opponent have not been lowered to 0, the declarer loses the duel. “Yes a Victory Draw,” Darren tells Z. “I fit the requirements, I have 900 lifepoints and 0 cards in my hand. I draw! This is my time, my time to shine!” He closes his eyes and draws the card from his deck. He smiles and pulls the card back and looks at it. “And so you see Victory Draws are not catastrophic.” “You draw something good?” “See for yourself,” Darren said and placed a card on the dueldisk. A grey warrior appeared on the field with a black visor. He had multiple tubes to his face. “One of my favorites! Speed Spell – Massive Bounce!” The spell card appeared on the field. “Massive Bounce,” Z slowly raises her head and then her eyes widen. “Darren?” “I can activate the effect of a monster again when I have 4 or more Speed-Counters,” Darren shouted, not having heard Z`s previous comment. “So here it goes again. You get a blast of 600 lifepoints due to Aura Traveler, and my lifepoints are halved (900 -> 450). Thousand Star Dragon, finish the job!” The burststream released by Thousand Star Dragon hit Z and her lifepoints drop to 0. The duel was over. Darren – 450 [sPC: 5]Z – 0 [sPC: 8] DUEL ENDS DARREN IS THE WINNER Darren rides on and then at the last moment notices that Z has crashed with her Duel-Runner. While Thousand Star Dragon disappeared, he takes a big gulp of air and rides back, not seeing any Robochasers around. He stops near Z and bows over her. “You have five minutes,” Z says and she coughs, some blood coming from her mouth. Darren nods and was about to walk away when he notices a necklace around Z`s neck. It was somehow very familiar to him. He grabbed it and Z was about to stop him when he saw what it was. It was golden, massive golden and it had two initials, Z and D. “Zenna?” Darren asks Z. “Put your hands in the air, you are surrounded by Hunting Platoon 501,” the scoutship was back and right above them. Darren did not think a minute and stepped on his Duel-Runner, riding away. Z stands up with difficulty and looks to the ran off Duel-Runner. 16 Robochasers came next to her with a Robochaser with golden accents in front of them. “How do you wish to proceed, ma’am?” “We of the 501 always keep promises,” Z slowly said. “He has a five minute headstart, he won the duel fair and square. Captain, find out where he goes.” “Ma’am, as a Generation 5 Captain I have the right to know why?” the captain tells Z. “I am Generation 8, I do not answer to you,” Z tells him off and she concentrates very hard, creating a shockwave, short-circuiting the captain, making him useless. “We, hybrids, are superior to the machines. Now find me the location.” “Yes, ma’am.” -------------- -- GALACIOS, CENTRAL SQUARE – “Tomorrow night, the tital match between Koji Zenku and Zera Slyger, both originating from Galacios,” an announcer announced on the big screens on the central square. “The Dragonoid versus the Zephyroid. Who will win between those Synchro-Chain Summoning giants? Find out tomorrow at 8 PM.” A lone man was standing in the middle of the square. He wore an old jacket, ragged and completely grey. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. He was unshaven. No-one paid real attention to him and so the man was still standing in the middle of the square. He looked at the clock at one side of the square and nods. “And so it begins.” To be continued…….. RANDOM STAR RIDER TRIVIA: CAC-count: 29 Did you like it? Did it live up to any expectations you might have had? It lived up to mine, and that is important I guess. I know I promised a lot of new things in this story. New card concepts and all and the only thing I have shown so far is the new Victory Draw mechanic. A Victory Draw was when one player has 1500 or less lifepoints and 0 cards in the hand. The one who declares the Victory Draw bets the duel on the draw he places now. When in the End Phase the lifepoints of the opponent have not been lowered to 0, the declarer loses the duel. Simple as that, makes the duel interesting sometimes when a duellist wants to place all faith in one draw. Well see you for Turn 2!
Kaisu
I reckon the chapter's waay too long.
SebastiaanZ
Is that all you can say?Read fanfics on other forums. They are just as long, even longer. A few of my favorites are longer as this and they are regarded as the best YGO fanfics on the net.

SebastiaanZ
I´d say, get used to it. All turns will be as long or maybe a little shorter-
bury the year
Well, if you don't make it shorter, I definitely think you could split that chapter in half right before the second duel. It'd flow much better; otherwise, it seems like you're trying to cram everything in there.
RyanAtlus
I liked it. I especially enjoyed the Victory Draw Rule.
Kaisu
It's just.. irritating to read. I keep my chapters to 10 A4 pages max, but still. Either make them shorter, or split 'em. That's what I have to say.
SebastiaanZ
@LarryCotter: Thanks. Glad you liked it, glad that someone at least likes it. Yeah the Victory Draw rule came up the moment I wrote it. It is a simple but effective addition to the duel. @Rwaring_Kaisu: The first turn was actually 11 pages long on Arial 8,5 which I use for all the stories I write. And I am not going to split them. Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
Congrats, you're the first (un)lucky victim for today's Mystery Science Ripoff 3892. However, your chapter, while not quite as long as the others are making it out to be, is still too long for one crew, so you get two teams of snarkers! Yay! The premise of Mystery Science Ripoff 3892 is that characters from some other anime or video game will snark about the plot and grammar of your fic. Today's team hails from Code Geass; the second team will be from The Legend of Zelda. [spoiler=Half I {Code Geass}]Team:Lelouch vi Britannia - Secretly the revolutionary Zero, this guy overthrew the evil Britannian empire by posing as a horrifically evil emperor for said empire and setting up his own assassination.C.C. - An immortal who gave Lelouch the power to command others. She's understandably lonely; her original power was to make others obsessed with her, and longs for real affection (read: the kind she gets form Lulu). Likes pizza.Kallen Stadtfeld - A half-Japanese, half-Britannian revolutionary and Zero's most powerful knight. She's good in a giant robot and presumably in love with Zero. Turn 1 “Enter the Zone.” It is the year 2165.C.C.: Good to know. The world has changed since the era of Yugi Mutoh, Kamon McFlinn and Jaden Yuki has ended.Kallen: Okay, Mutô and Yuki we got in the background info, but who the hell is Kamon McFlinn? New duellists have stand up,Lelouch: The mighty Black Knights have stand up to oppose the evil of Britannia! Author, that does NOT sound intimidating.C.C.: They call it conjugation. Learn it. new legacies have begun and new strategies have been developed. New concepts have been developed and now the concept of lifepoints are no longer the only thing that count.C.C.: They call it declension. Learn it. Speed……Lelouch: ...................................................................................... Speed is the new thing that counts. Speed is what pulls someone through, speed is what you need to defeat your opponent quicker.Lelouch: People die when they are killed. Speed is what you need to achieve victory these days. In the light of the Turbo Duelling Spirit, people will try to exceed their limits, accel onto higher groundsLelouch: Kallen! Accel onto higher grounds!Kallen: I don't see any "accel" command on here, Zero... and become the fastest.Lelouch: As opposed to the smartest or most successful. These days, the Company is the company that took over the rule of Duel-Monsters.C.C.: So, Mr. Ham. We need a name for our new company that will capture attention, attract potential buyers, and represent what we believe in. What have you got?Lelouch: Well, what does your company do?C.C.: Well, it's a company...Lelouch: That's it! We'll call it "the Company!"C.C.: Brilliant! They invented the more higher quality Duel-Runners and Duel-Boards.Kallen: I think English isn't this guy's first language.C.C.: I'm starting to get that impression, yeah.Lelouch: Just what is a Duel-Board, exactly? They also are the inventors of the electronicalLelouch: Captain! The electronical discombobutastic atommotorpops are on the fritz! security system that protects the most inventive and costly project ever built in the world nowadays. The Three Cities…Lelouch: Sodom, Gomorrah, Jericho!Kallen: Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Osaka!C.C.: Tokyo, New York, Beijing! In the year 2100, the first was built in an attempt to create a new perfect society where new life could begin.C.C.: Actually, that was in 423 B.C.E. Specifically, Cloudcuckooland.Kallen: Perhaps a bit better known would be Jamestown in 1607?Lelouch: And their moving west in the 19th century.C.C.: And the civil war of 1865...Lelouch: Americans like to create new perfect societies where new life could begin, don't they?Kallen: When they exist, yes. The first megacity was built in 18 years, somewhere around the middle of the ocean.Kallen: Zero, where will we strike next?Lelouch: I've selected a target somewhere around the middle of the ocean! MOVE OUT! People were transported there and those who wanted to live there were allowed to live. Some others had no choise as their companies had placed them there.C.C.: It's America all over again!Lelouch: That said, we haven't learned anything about the actual land. Are we even on Earth?Kallen: There's an ocean, and Mutou and Yuki apparently lived here. I'd say so. The first megacity, called Xeos,Lelouch: Oh, sure! You give a city a cool name like "Xeos," but all the Company gets is "the Company?" Who's paying to name these things? was inhabited by 4,5 million people and there was still room for more.Kallen: A comma! So English isn't SebastiaanZ's first language!C.C: We'd have a problem if it were. In 2119, the Company financed along with influental companies in the world,C.C.: Like the Corporation, the Conglomerate, the Business, the Factory... the structuring and building of the second megacity, called Arios.Lelouch: It would seem the Greeks are the hegemons of the new world. Like Xeos, people either could choose to go to Arios or be placed there by their executives. Kallen: America Three. Also the first prison camps were set up there along with a new range of high-tech Duel-Arena`s and Colliseums.Lelouch: I, Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia, hereby decree that today, we will erect Britannia's first new concentration camps! Also, we will install the first arcades and skate parks! This was the city where the Company had built their first high-tech security system controlled by one single computer.Lelouch: Okay, so the security systems are going to revolt and massacre the populace. Good to know. Xeos would follow soon. The finishing of Arios took another 18 years. In 2127, when Arios and Xeos were successfully miniature economies,Lelouch: They can't blame the global market for their recessions anymore. Shame. the company decided to built a third megacity, this time called Galacios. Like Xeos and Arios, Galacios gained the same high-tech security system as them built by the Company.Kallen: Security system wars! People came and went.C.C.: The ocean was wet. The sun shone. Then in the year 2146, a tragedy takes place. Due to a mechanical fault in the system, the security system of Xeos goes haywire and due to the extensive reach of this system, many defenses are activated, resulting in a mass slaughter of the civillian community.Lelouch: That was fast.Kallen: It revolted before the story started... Story goes, the security system went on high alert and activated all possible defenses. Allmost 95% of the population of Xeos was killed.Kallen: The remaining five percent thought it was the Rapture and jumped into the ocean. Arios and Galacios are put on high alert as well, but their systems have not undergone haywireKallen: Zero, help! The Guren has undergone haywire! or mechanical faults. The lives of many people are in danger now, but the UN, influenced by the Company, decide not to undertake action against the megacities.C.C.: George W. Bush ignored them and attacked anyway, making the other security systems undergo haywire and slaughter several million more people. Nowadays, Xeos is ruled by the criminals that survived the unslaught.Kallen: Of course, the only ones who didn't get killed were the ones who deserved to be. While the security system is still online, it is ruled by the criminal warlords at Xeos.Lelouch: So why didn't they take control of it to begin with! The few people that have survived the unslaught as well and not being criminals are now being hunted by the same system that was supposed to protect them. It is impossible to get off the megacity. The wall that has been raised around the borders of the megacity are solid and no drill can get through it.C.C.: Unless it's the drill that pierces the heavens. The Security System eliminates all possible threads.Lelouch: Thread detected! Exterminate! Exterminate!Kallen: The poor seamstresses... But still there is hope.C.C.: Isn't there always?Lelouch: One masked rebel stands against the tyrannical oppression of the Company and Security System. His name? Zero. His mission? To protect the weak from the abuse of the strong. There is hope on a better life. Hope on a way to get off this megacity and live in the normal world again. We have to find a way. But as long as we have hope and the light continues to exist in our hearts, we can keep believing there once will be a time we can get out of this place.C.C.: Oh, so it was only an illusion. Oh, well.Lelouch: Be the change you wish to see in the world, fools! Until then we fight.C.C.: ...you just said you were hoping to figure out what to fight for. You're putting the cart before the horse here. --------------- Celesta Arena, GalaciosKallen: Wait a sec. I thought we were dealing with Xeos. Opponent – 200 [sPC: 2]Arena King – 3600 [sPC: 6]Lelouch: This looks familiar...C.C.: Great. Speed Counters. The bane of strategy. At least they warned us. Two Duel-Runners were speeding around the oval arena. One Duel-Runner was red and white and was based around a normal motor cycle with the dueldisk part mounted in the front along with the monitor and the cardholder on the side.Kallen: ...and the exhaust pipe was grey and there were two of them mounted on the back along with the black wheels on the bottom. The autopilot was on.Lelouch: What's he supposed to do, steer and duel at the same time? That thing had better be on. It was being followed by a black, three-wheeled gigantic motor cycle. In the front was some kind of dragon`s head and the man riding the motor cycle was a big man, with black hair.Kallen: BREAK YOUR SENTENCES ALREADY.Lelouch: SebastiaanZ is telling us too little in too little space. “I activate the Speed Spell, Speed Spell – Speed Fusion,”C.C.: *opponent* Oh, yeah? Well, I activate the Speed Spell, Speed Spell - Speed Spell of Speed Spellcasters of Speed Spells! the black haired man on the black Duel-Runner said and behind him was the red-black Red Dragon Archfiend (3000/2000).Kallen: Again, BREAK YOUR SENTENCES!Lelouch: This really does seem familiar. “Now by fusing Red Dragon Archfiend along with my Luster-Dragon #2 and the Bomber Dragon, Spirit Ryo and Vice Dragon from my hand, I can Special Summon my ace, my soul and life, Five God Dragon (5000/5000).”Lelouch: *Charles zi Britannia, little expression* And all humanity will become one. My master plan is succeeding. Soon there will be no suffering. Hahaha.C.C.: That aside, what's he doing with Spirit Ryo and Luster Dragon #2 in his Deck?Kallen: And what does the opponent have up that he needs FGD to get rid of it, Obelisk the Tormentor? The gigantic light brown five-headed dragon appeared behind him, roaring loudly.Kallen: The enormous pale red silver-armed mecha appeared behind him, its pilot screaming loudly. “How …… how did you manage to get one?” the man on the blue white Duel-Runner asked the black haired man. “That card is supposed to be extinct.”C.C.: It was supposed to be wiped out 65 million years ago! “Unfortunately for you, I have good connections in high places that actually granted me that card,” the black haired man said and he pointed to his opponent.Lelouch: *Arena King* I could have asked them for Dark Armed Dragon or Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, but this seemed so much cooler. “And now I will use the very same card to destroy your undefeated record of 10 wins.Kallen: *Arena King* That's right! As of today, I'll be the first Duelist ever to win eleven Duels! Five God Dragon, Elemental Cascade!” “Reveal Negate Attack!” the opponent orders as his facedown card flips up.C.C.: This is why Summoning FGD with anything other than Dragon's Mirror is a very bad idea.Lelouch: Couldn't that have been Mirror Force, though? Or at least Dimensional Prison? “Do not think so,” the black haired man on his oversized Duel-Runner counters. “Reveal my trap card, Thousand Fire! By paying 1000 lifepoints I can negate and destroy all cards that counter my monster`s attack.Kallen: That's oddly specific.Lelouch: Mirror Force makes its case once again. Begone, you fool!”Lelouch: You discarded four cards to reduce your total attack power by 400 points and make yourself vulnerable to a comeback. You really can't go around accusing other people of foolishness. The five-way blast of Five God Dragon hit the opponent on the red and white Duel-Runner, lowering his lifepoints to 0.Kallen: Don't tell me that was a direct attack! The display on the Duel-Runner displayed DEFEAT and the Runner shut down. The opponent picked up his helmet and lifted it over his head. Man – 0 [sPC: 0]Arena King – 2400 [sPC: 6]C.C.: So it's only now we learn his opponent was a man. “And so the great Arena King of the Celesta Arena wins his 15th duel in a row.Lelouch: Eh? You said the record was ten. All stand up for the one, the only ……. Spencer Jivo!" the PA announced as the two Duel-Runners came to a halt in front of the main stands, filled with audience. “How well his opponent, Tyrene Skorr, tried to stop him, the Arena King Spencer was able to overcome him.”Lelouch: What did I say? Is this not familiar?C.C.: It's the opening scene of 5Ds...Kallen: Jack wasn't such an idiot, though. “Now who is the king?!” the black haired man asked loud and the crowd cheered by calling him by his name.Lelouch: C'mon. Couldn't you have been a little more imaginative? His opponent on the blue and white Duel-Runner had fully removed his helmet and was revealed to be a girl.C.C.: Oh, come on! You just established his masculinity two paragraphs ago! Her long brown hair went across her back down to her wraist. Her blue eyes eyed down on the Arena King while checking her Duel-Runner.Lelouch: My purple eyes eyed down on my query while glowing with the power of Geass.Kallen: Help! Lelouch's eyes are eying down on me! “Good game, King,” Tyrene mocked Spencer.Kallen: Okay, I know I lost, but if that facedown had been Mirror Force, you would have been /so/ screwed. “They seem not to be to eager to rekindle their relationship,” the PA announced.C.C.: So the PA knows that Spencer is Tyrene's ex, and still addresses her as male? I guess he's an established homosexual...Kallen: I can see why she dumped him, though. He's beyond arrogant.Lelouch: Gay, prissy, arrogant, good publicity... Am I the only person imagining Spencer as Prince Clovis right now?C.C., Kallen: Nope. “As you might know and some of you might not, Tyrene Skorr and Spencer Jivo are archrivals of each other since the beginning of their duelling careers.”Lelouch: Therefore, they'll be madly in love by the end of the story. Tyrene and Spencer were forced into shaking hands in front of the audience while both of them had looks that could kill.Kallen: The fans are already writing fluff and lemons.C.C.: Reminds me of Sirius and Snape. ...yep, they're writing lemons. “I’ll win next time, Zivo,” Tyrene tells her opponent as she places her helmet on the Duel-Runner.Kallen: The sad part is, she probably will. “You wish,” Spencer laughed out loud and looked around. “Look around.C.C.: Gjor som vi gjor, ta nagra steg at vanster... Only in 6 months you will be able to enter the Celesta Arena again. In 6 months when you have a small possibility of challenging me again in the Celestial Cup.”Lelouch: *Spencer* I'll be busy polishing my cards and coming up with more lamebrained, easily countered finishing moves in the meantime. Spencer turned around and was about to head for the exit, when Tyrene called out for him. “I will be there then,” Tyrene yelled after him as she sat down on her Duel-Runner and headed back in the opposite direction.Lelouch: They certainly know how to create sympathetic and unsympathetic characters.C.C.: Now what happened to Xeos? Aren't they all in the sort of dystopia a series might take place in?Lelouch: There's no room for card games when robots are shoving lasers down your throat. Where she was heading, was another man standing. This man wears a scarf around his head and he had brown eyes. He wears a bomber jacket and blue pants and a T-Shirt with some rockband called The Scarfs on it.Lelouch: Keep one tense, please.Kallen: The Scarfs? What kind of band calls themselves the Scarfs? “You did fine out there,” the man with the scarf told Tyrene.C.C. The one that wants to market to scarf-wearers, apparently. “I told your boss I am not interested already,” Tyrene bites back.Lelouch: Stay in the past tense!Kallen: *Tyrene* I'm the first character in this who isn't an idiot, so I'm obviously not interested in a group calling themselves The Scarfs.C.C.: At least make it The Scarves. Then we might be going somewhere. Might. The man with the scarf pulled out a device from his pocket and showed Tyrene the holographic image of a boy on a Duel-Runner.C.C.: Boy Boy Hologram-kun! The holographic image was blue colored, but the boy resembled in a way Tyrene.Lelouch: *scarf-man* If you don't want your hitherto-unheard-of twin brother assassinated, you'll come to work for us.Kallen: *Tyrene* I'm not an idiot, remember? “Where was that taken?” “Three days ago,” the man with the scarf tells Tyrene.Kallen: *Tyrene* I said /where/, not /when/. “Three days ago a Scout-Bot picked this up. My boss volunteers to help you help him out.Lelouch: Hey, do you need some help helping me out? Great, let me help... *Geass sigil glows* However he wants something in return.”C.C.: So he's not volunteering, is he? “Tell him I am not interested,” Tyrene started her Duel-Runner and was about to drive off. “And if he ever tries to bother me again, he should come in person.”C.C.: And he shouldn't bring his giant pervert frog either. “If that is really what you want,” the man with the scarf said and he put away his device, while seeing Tyrene riding away on her Duel-Runner. He shakesLelouch: STAY IN ONE TENSE DAMMIT his head and then turns around again, facing the arena. He watched while Spencer makes a ride of honor through the arena, before exiting again. “We hope to see you all back in two weeks, when the Arena King takes up arms against Kensei Shinmaru,” he hears the PA announce while he walks away, heading for another exit.Lelouch: *Spencer* I'll be busy polishing my cards and coming up with more lamebrained, easily countered finishing moves in the meantime. --------------------- -- XEOS, DEAD ZONE --All: FINALLY! It was cold and very empty. Everywhere where you looked were heaps of steel or the surviving pieces of houses and buildings.Kallen: So it's not empty at all. This was the zone on Xeos, people like to call the Dead Zone. A place in which no communication is available, where if you were being chased down, you would be on your own.C.C.: In space, no one can hear you scream. The Dead Zone was a big piece of the mega city Xeos, which due to the Catastrophe, turned into one wasteland of steel.Kallen: *computer* Island roboticization 58% complete.Lelouch: *Robotnik* Excellent. Nothing can stop me now! Not even a supersonic hedgehog with an attitude! AHAHAHAHAHA! The silence that ruled the Dead Zone at Xeos was disturbed when in the distance a Duel-Runner came down the ‘road’. This Duel-Runner was colored oddly, as it had many colors, but they could change anytime, making it more shinier and everything as it run along.C.C.: I believe the word you're looking for is 'iridescent.'Lelouch: The human consciousness was colored oddly, as it had many colors, but they could change anytime, making it more shinier and everything as it run along.Kallen: That's a little counterintutive, ne? I wouldn't want a Knightmare that was made more shinier and everything as it run along. The person riding the Duel-Runner was wearing a thick jacket and gloves to keep the cold out. C.C.: Let's remember this, gang: SebastiaanZ is conserving detail.Lelouch: No matter how bad we make this out to be, it could always be a lot worse. He stops at one side, where a small heap of steel was being placed and he touched the surface.Lelouch: But a tense change within one sentence...! English isn't the first language, but still... A mechanical device came from the ground, holding a piece of paper.C.C.: Your bill, sir. The person stepped from the Duel-Runner, picked the paper and looked at it.Lelouch: I'll pick a paper... AND LOOK AT IT! “Good morning Darren,” the person read from the paper. “Hope you have slept well tonight - yeah sure – and you find this letter before it falls in the wrong hands.C.C.: I sure hope criminal hackers who can take over an autonomous AI with ease don't make this AI-less robot hand go rogue. Yesterday, Robochasers have found our hideout. We had to move in order to avoid capture.Lelouch: *Robotnik* At last, Knothole is mine! Swatbots, move out!Kallen: *Sally* We'd better move in order to avoid capture! Go to the bridge, you know which one to meet us. If you go we go with you. Love, Maya and Slike.”C.C.: Aw, the love interest.Lelouch: *Sonic* Love, Sally and Antoine. ... Antoine came out. This is bad. The person put the paper in his pocket and pulled of his helmet.Kallen: He takes it off /after/ reading the letter? He was revealed to have black spiky hair.C.C.: What is it with this story and black spiky hair?Lelouch: Meh. Spencer is Clovis, so this guy is the first.C.C.: Oh, yeah. He placed his helmet on the Duel-Runner and looked around for any signs of being followed, after which he pressed another piece of steel.Kallen: *Darren* Here's hoping a robot drone doesn't pop up and kill me...! The ground looked like it was parting as a hole appeared,C.C.: Of course, it wasn't really parting, nor did a hole really appear. Those things only happen in fairy tales.Lelouch: You're an immortal. Do you have the right to say that?C.C.: NO COS THIS IS THE DEATH NOT WORLD WHERE SHINIGAMI ARE POSABLE with stairs leading down. The person looked around again and picked the Duel-Runner and dragged it down the stairs. When the black spiky haired boy came at the final step, he was revealed to be standing in a room with computer screens. He placed his Duel-Runner just alongside the table and connected it with his computers through a USB-cable. The screens lighted on and a message was revealed: HELLO DARREN.C.C.: *JOSHUA* Greetings, Darren. Would you like to play a game?Lelouch: FALKEN'S MAZE, BLACK JACK, GIN RUMMY, HEARTS, BRIDGE, CHECKERS, CHESS, POKER, FIGHTER COMBAT, GUERRILLA ENGAGEMENT, DESERT WARFARE, AIR-TO-GROUND ACTIONS, THEATERWIDE TACTICAL WARFARE, THEATERWIDE BIOTOXIC AND CHEMICAL WARFARE, GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR, DUEL MONSTERS Computer: HAVE YOU HAD A GOOD TRIP?Kallen: CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL AMIRITE? “Pretty good indeed,” the man, apparantly being Darren.Lelouch: *the man apparently being Darren* Apparently, I'm being Darren. “I got us some supplies from a nearby gangster store.C.C.: *the man apparently being Darren* Unfortunately, all they had were bad rap SDATs. They were not home, so there was no need for duelling or getting out fast.”Kallen: *the man apparently being Darren* Though I could have walked fast out of there if I needed to. Computer: HOW ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR PLAN? “I scouted the perimeter today twice,” Darren sat down in front of the screens.Lelouch: *Darren* I died three times. “Which reminds me. Have you been able to download the blue prints and maps from the SECSYS’s mainframe?”Kallen: The results of my scouting are completely irrelevant, of course. Computer: HAVE DONE SO, DARREN. UNDETECTED. SECSYS`S DIGITAL DEFENSES ARE NO MATCH FOR ME. IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, JUST GIVE A SIGNAL.Kallen: *Darren* Great! Can you disable the security system, then?C.C.: *computer* OF COURSE NOT. WE NEED TO MAKE THIS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE FIRST EPISODE OF YU-GI-OH! 5DS. BESIDES, THE STORY WOULD END IN ONE CHAPTER OTHERWISE. “A shock will do fine I guess,” Darren smirked as he typed away on his keyboard. Outside no communication and electric devices would work. In his hideout, it would.Kallen: Jamming the jammers, huh?C.C.: Raspberry jam, no less. Thanks to a network of bots he set up around the Dead Zone, he could keep an overview over what happened inside the Dead ZoneKallen: So that really makes the lack of digital communication irrelevant. and be warned when SECSYS, the Security System that caused this Catastrophe, 9 years ago, would have his forces near his hideout.C.C.: SECSYS! SECurity SYStem! Get it? Oh, that's hilarious... *seriously* No, really, we could tell.Kallen: Sadly, most readers couldn't.C.C.: Sad indeed. Worser were the gangs that made an agreement with SECSYS, with those clankers.C.C.: We can handle the swatbots. It's roboticization that makes the fight tough. The gangs were all criminal and the biggest of them each ruled a quadrant of Xeos.Lelouch: Obviously, there's no fighting among them. They're too busy picking on innocent civilians to desire more power. However no gang ever tried to come in and take over the Dead Zone.Lelouch: Why not? Are they that reliant on digital communication? SECSYS and those gangs were the only thing Darren had to keep in mind if he ever wanted to execute his plan.C.C.: And the fact that his computer can shut down SECSYS. Darren opened the fridge and placed a couple of boxes inside it. He altered the temperature on the digital displayKallen: In the future, fridges will have digital displays!Lelouch: Really, by 2165, we'll have FTL travel. and then picked another box, which was already in. Opening the box showed there was a frozen pizza inside it.C.C.: This guy has good taste. And besides ignoring his supercomputer's abilities, he really isn't that stupid.Lelouch: *Darth Vader* I find your lack of faith disturbing.C.C.: Relax. He's got nothing on Tyrene, or anyone in our universe. ...though you really should appreciate pizza more. An original pizza, which thanks to the state of the art technology was still eatable even though it was made 6 months ago.C.C.: I wanna live in 2165.Lelouch: You will, but they'll have reliable space travel by then. Darren opened an oven and placed the pizza inside it, opening a program and setting it on.Kallen: The oven... OF THE FUTURE! Darren walked back to the table with all the computer screens on themC.C.: The table... OF THE FUTURE! ...except those are already in development.Kallen: Oh, so this takes place about a decade from now.Lelouch: Hear that, author? A decade. NOT A CENTURY AND A HALF. and then checked the letter again he pulled from the mechanical device. He opened a program on his computer and put in some coordinates and the programm searched for a moment, before starting to zoom in onto a bridge.Kallen: The Google Earth... OF THE FUTURE! “Where are you?” Darren typed in a command. He then saw two dots appearing. He smiled. “You are to much in the open.”Lelouch: Kallen, you are to much in the open! Fall back!Kallen: Roger. At that moment two happy bunny-like faces appear on the screen and causing the rest of the image to go haywire.Kallen: See, SebastaanZ? You can do this. It goes haywire; it doesn't undergo haywire. “That`s my girl,” Darren continued to talk in the open.Lelouch: Kallen, you are to much in the open! Fall back!Kallen: But Zero, you are also to much in the open!Lelouch: Crap! He walked around the table, picked another box-like device from the other side of the table and opened it. There were five switches in it, three of them turned down.Lelouch: The fuse box... OF THE FUTURE! He looked at the fourth switch, took a breath and pulled it down.C.C.: *Darren* Let's hope this is the right one...Lelouch: BOOM!C.C.: *Darren* Crap, it was the self-destruct button. A green light went on at the bottom of the device and he picked a cable next to it inserting it into a hightech notebookKallen: The notebook... OF THE FUTURE! he had on the left side of the table. The notebook was only a keyboard and a glass screen.Lelouch: In other words, a tablet computer. When Darren put it on, the glass screen projected an image of the program. He opened a program called Online Duel Community (ODC) and entered a private chatroom. He saw six more people were inside the chatroom.Lelouch: Just admit this is 2025 already. Dreammaster: Has any of us entered an IP-scrambler? Darren had logged in from his own account, called Duelmonz. He looked at his box-like deviceC.C.: Which we refuse to call a tablet computer... and smirked before entering his message into the chatroom.Duelmonz: Yeah, I have.Dreammaster: So are you still planning on doing the impossible?Kallen: *Darren* Nope, I'm kicking reason to the curb and going beyond the impossible, 'cuz that's the Team Gurren way! Duelmonz: As a matter of fact I am planning on doing so. I have maps and blue prints ready.Clankcrusher: Clankers raided our property yesterday. Just tomorrow I was able to escape when sicko`s tried to capture me and my brotherC.C.: Not much of a clankcrusher, then, are you?Lelouch: I was able to escape the Black Knights tomorrow. The day after tomorrow, I defeated Schneizel and seized the day. Duelmonz: Good to see you are still alive then.C.C., Kallen: If only I could say that... HEY.Lelouch: Preemptively, I'm celibate, capisce? Darren smiled. Clankers were the forces of the SECSYS, mainly mechanical forces.Lelouch: You do realize "mechanical" and "robotic" aren't synonyms, right? You had Robochasers, the main group you, as a civillian on the run, had to be afraid of.C.C.: Swatbots, basically. Robochasers were robotic duellists. Both on Duel-Runner and ground duels. All: ...WHAT.Lelouch: Help, help! The security system is defeating me in a children's card game! GASP, I am lost! Another one is approaching!Kallen: Don't worry, Zero! With my special Guren SEITEN Deck, I can defeat them in a tag Duel!Lelouch: Excellent! If we keep winning children's card games like this, Britannia will fall in moments! You also had various bots that controlled areas and the robots which were more on the offense and mass slaughtersC.C.: Which makes the Robochasers COMPLETELY USELESS.Lelouch: Either you get slaughtered massively or face defeat in a children's card game. instead of handling stuff like humans would do it, duelling or any other unharming way.Lelouch: Having been an evil emperor during my life, I think it's safe to say humans are much more inclined to mass slaughters than children's card games. Dreammaster: I have heard that one of the safehouses in Nuelland has been raided by the Aratillia-Clan. From what I heard is that from the 24 people that resided in that safehouse, only 5 have been able to escape.C.C.: The rest were defeated in children's card games. Clankcrasher: Duelmonz; Flowy and Raia were there, were they not?Duelmonz: Yes, they were indeed. However they have been able to send me a message indicating they are somewhere else now.Kallen: Maya and Slike!Lelouch: *Sonic* Sally and Antoine! Remember the situation 9 years ago when the clankers came?C.C.: Oh, boy. Awkwardly implemented exposition time. Dreammaster: We do, at least I do. Is that where you will be heading?Kallen: ...or not. THANK YOU SEBASTIAANZ. Before you put in place your real plan?Lelouch: *Dreammaster* To have your computer take over SECSYS and defeat the Clankers in children's card games and/or mass slaughter them? Duelmonz: It is a start. I have to move from east to west.C.C.: Darren is but an avatar of the mighty Sun God, RA! It will take a while, but I am going to do it. I am going to the impossible.Lelouch: *Darren* Mine is the drill that pierces the heavens! FLOWY LOGS INC.C.: Yay, the love interest is back! Flowy: ODC is not safe now. They have raided a ODC base. Log off now.Lelouch: *Maya* Yeah, stop abusing the fact that the Dead Zone doesn't actually do anything!C.C.: *Maya* Besides, using the Internet to communicate against an AI is a terrible idea. Duelmonz, I will be seeing you soon.C.C.: *Maya* Love and kisses, Flowy.Kallen: *Maya* Logging off. *sighs* Duelmonz... Such a romantic name... Dreammaster, Duelmonz and Clankcrasher: Thanks for the heads-up. See you later.Lelouch: *Darren* Even though you've logged off, we'll thank you anyway. Darren pulled out the plug, logged off, put away the IP-scrambler and put the laptop back on a shelve. While picking a digital book from another shelve,C.C.: Oh, so now we've gone backwards in technological advancement between 2016 and 2165? We have Kindles, you know. he sat down on a bankLelouch: Britannian First National Bank, in fact. and started reading in the book. He looked at the wall in the room next to his computer room and saw the digital board with green and red lights hanging there. There was a big mass of green lights, indicating the Dead Zone and it being safe now, while the red lights indicated the border between the Dead Zone and the rest of Xeos.C.C.: Despite the fact that the Dead Zone is supposed to be unsafe. ---------------------- -- XEOS, OMEGA DISTRICT – Omega District once was the gloring business part of Xeos. Here most of the trade was done and many business men had their shops and went for a coffee and held conferences and stuff. Now, all those shops were either destroyed and replaced by cold steel buildings,Kallen: As opposed to the warm steel buildings that once housed the shops. with windows that were so small, that it hardly let through any light. Not much aside of the obvious changed. There were no people on the streets. There are patrolling robots, humanoid robots, both being armed with guns and dueldisks.Lelouch: We can kill you, or defeat you in a children's card game. Take your pick. There are also free humans. These humans, either are slaves of SECSYS or work for the crimelords and clans.Kallen: So they're not free at all! These humans are only allowed short time outside, to get some fresh air.Lelouch: Why, so the gangsters can be evil? They have armed, Dueling robots out there! Even SECSYS realizes the humans, their slaves, must be held in condition in order to make it work.C.C.: Few people realize that the morally right and the pragmatically right often overlap. These humans have no choise. Either work or die or duel till you die in order to generate energy or for the sake of experiments and training for the SECSYS forces.Kallen: Or get raped by crime lords.Lelouch: I expect you got that a lot?Kallen: They tried. I generally knocked them out before they got very far.Lelouch: How...?Kallen: Bodyguards aren't very erotic, apparently. And then there is the worst group. Humans, but not completely human.Lelouch: And that's worse how? Jeremiah Gottwald never really cared. Enhanced humans that would be able to infiltrate in the society that the people that are still hiding at Xeos. Humans that have betrayed their own humanity, their own kind to survive.C.C.: How dare you make yourself better and put yourself in a perfect position to destroy SECSYS and the gangs! You have to stay human, dammit! Or they had no choise and SECSYS used their DNA in order to create an army of enhanced humans with their DNA being implemented into robotic bodies. Hybrids, androids you could call them.Lelouch: Androids are completely robotic. You're looking for cyborgs. And this same district, the Omega District, is the very thing you have to get through if you ever are thinking of breaking out of Xeos. Because the Omega District has the only link to the outside world.Kallen: Everything else is a sheer cliff face with no boats whatsoever.C.C.: And if it's not an island, SECSYS is an idiot. No-one has ever succeeded in getting out of there. No plan ever made, has gotten anyone out of there. It is impossible.Lelouch: Therefore, Darren will kick reason to the curb, go beyond the impossible, and leave, rather than telling his supercomputer to destroy SECSYS. --- On a platform overlooking the Omega District, lit by torches, a man in a brown cloak stands.Kallen: Hi, Darren! Three more mechanical knights were standing behind him, holding guard against any possible intruders.Kallen: ...or not. As he overlooked the district, a pair of footsteps was heard coming up the stairs. The man turns around.Lelouch: Tense, remember? “General Vixix,” a voice came from the stairs and the man, apparantly being General Vixix, turned around.Lelouch: Apparently, I'm being General Vixix.C.C.: Vixix? What kind of name is Vixix? I tolerated Schneizel and Rolo, but... Vixix? Under the cloak the general wore machinery. Instead of his right eye he had a mechanical eye with sensors and wires going under his mechanical armor.Kallen: Why bother with sensors under the armor? Auto repair? “We have just gotten confirmation from a source near the Dead Zone, there are possible intruders there.”C.C.: There might be a person who's alive in that unconquered space filled with Minovsky Particles! We should send gratuitous security forces to stop them! “Human?” the general asked the man who came up the stairs.Kallen: *the man who came up the stairs* No, a banana. The man who came up the stairs was dressed in a simple black outfit, totally outmatching the outfit of the general.Lelouch: Like Zero's costume against Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia's. The man holds his head still. “You don’t know?” “We are not sure,” the man said. There was no sign of any mechanical part on his body. He looked like he was completely human.Lelouch: That said, he wasn't.C.C.: *the man who came up the stairs* We are Legion. “Should we send a Scout-ship in order to check it out?” “You know protocol,” the general ordered. “Annihilate and destroy those who stand up against us. Bring those who do not resist. They might have valuable information on the other hiding humans. Inform the clans a price has been put on each human brought dead or alive to the Omega District.”Lelouch: *the man apparently being General Vixix* We're finally going to conquer Minovsky-land-that-doesn't-actually-work! The other man bowed. “It will be done, general.” -------------------- Keep in mind I'm trying to frame this in the worst light possible. It's actually tolerable. Oh, and no one in their right mind would ever declare a victory draw.

SebastiaanZ
@Supreme Gamesmaster: So it is a TV program? Funny. But I rather like you not to do that on this topic. I did btw like what you wrote at second look. :D I'll remove my neutral rep I gave you. I reacted a little to fast. Sorry. It will take a while before Turn 2 is posted, since I am pretty busy.
