Yugioh JE: Dragon Gods Wrath

Disclaimer: This is a rough Chapter aka "Duel" one. Each "Duel" will be roughly about a Manga chapter in length, but the story will vary in length based on how things go and/or what I wanna do. Please critique it as I've never written a Yugioh Fanfic before. Your opinions and critique will help me to know what to do for the rest of this fic, so please do help with your input. Furthermore, I may mix some 4kids dub/english card names with Japanese ones and vice versa. Please just live with that. Just try not to be too harsh as it IS a rather rough first chapter, but I need to know how to do this properly. Thanks.

It was morning and 16 year old James couldn't wait. James had long brown hair and blue eyes that would sometimes change a hazelish green. He had a long nights rest and now he would be going to the big opening of the new Yugioh Card Store. His town sold Yugioh Cards sure, but now the store of nothing but Yugioh Cards was to open, and not just that, but it would be the first store in America to release the all new Starter Set! The difference with this starter set and the others was, every starter set would have 8 randomly set cards. They could be anything, however ever set contained a nineth card, and this nineth card would always be a brand new card that would be later introduced in 5 months to anywhere else by Industrail Illusions. Not even Domino City in Japan had these cards yet! The reason for this was that Yugi Muto and Jonouchi "Joey" had vanished. Thus, someone was needed to represent the next big duelist and in Japan, they didn't have one. Kaiba was too busy running his Duel Acadamy plans. Rumor had it that a Student named Judai had shown promise, and that he even Dueled the king of games Yugi himself, though Judai himself vanished sometime after. The next big Pro Duelist was an American Duelist named Michael. He was winning duels left and right and was currently undefeated. He even had won the American Championships, and is now ranked number one duelist in America. The reason this wa a big deal was, he was from the same hometown as James, so this was why the Card Store was placed here! Sure it's advertising, but new cards are new cards, and he was excited.

 

James made his way inside when he bumped into someone. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" it was kid his age. The kid had short Black Hair and was built skinny, just like him. James,"Oh jee nice to see you too Tyson." Tyson was a fellow classmate from back when James was in school. It was summer at the moment though. Tyson was only a few days younger than James but the guy really didn't like to lose. So far Tyson and James had had alot of evenly matched Duels, but hopefully this time James could break that tie they kept having. The Store Clerk saw James walk in. He laughed,"Sorry James, but we're all out of Booster Packs." James,"Where is everybody? Wasn't this place just opened? How could you be out?" The Clerk laughed," You must've forgotten last night was day light savings time!" James sighed,"Aw man.." The Clerk Laughed," Don't worry kid, I like you, so here..I saved 4 Booster Packs just for you. You still have to buy it of course." James grinned,"You're the best! Don't worry, you will not regret it!" Tyson growled, "thats no fair!" James bought them. James shrugged,"I can't help it. Here have one of them." He handed it to Tyson. Tyson looked at it and opened it. Tyson,"This'll have to do. Okay well.James, I challenge you to a duel! But lets make it more interesting. Lets each start with eight thousand life points this time! Also, you can't attack with any monsters you just summoned and you can only place and/or use one spell or trap a turn!" James nodded," I accept. Lets Duel!" Tyson nodded," This time you won't win. By the way..this is almost as funny as when I slept with your mom last night!" James laughed," that joke is so old..ladies first." Tyson growled,"You'll regret that! Ok lets Duel!" They got out their Duel Discs, which were designed to attach to the arm to help in this card game called Duel Monsters, which was what this whole thing had been about.

 

Tyson says,"grr, you'll regret that. I summon Spear Dragon in attack mode and I put one card face down." A Blue Dragon with a long nose appeared into the Duel Disc. It had 1900 Attack and 0 Defense.

 

James laughed,"I summon Mirage Dragon in attack mode and I throw down 2 face downs." A Dragon with Green Skin and smoke around it appeared as two cards went face down. It had 1600 Attack and 600 defense. Tyson grinned,"Heh idiot. Spear Dragon, attack his Mirage Dragon." James retorted ,"Ha, you activated my trap card, Attacker No more. Your attacks this turn equal zero." Tyson,"Grr. I'll summon Babycerassaurus, put a card face down and end my turn." A small dinosaur in an egg was placed down. It had 500 Attack and 500 Defense.

 

James nodded,"Alright, I summon Masked Dragon in attack mode and attack your Babycerasasurus with Mirage Dragon and I go ahead and end my turn." A white Dragon wearing a mask was placed on his field. It had 1400 Attack and 1100 Defense.

Tyson," I summon Dark Blade in Attack mode.Now, Spear Dragon, attack Mirage Dragon!" A Bladed Warrior with Black-ish Blue Armor was on the field now. It had 1800 Attack and 1500 Defense.

 

James shrugged,"I throw down a face down, and thats it." Tyson,"Thats it? I summon Lord of D. Now Dark Blade attack masked Dragon!" Lord of D. is a spellcaster that helps Dragon cards. It has 1200 Attack and 1100 Defense. James pointed at Tyson dramaticly,"You just activated Masked Dragon's effect, now I can summon one Dragon with 1500 or less ATK points, and I summon Seperant Dragon of the Swamp!"

(1500 ATK, 800 Defense. This card cannot be attacked for one turn.)

Tyson," Fine, I put one card face down and end my turn."

 

James," I summon Magna Drago in Attack mode and end my turn." A Dragon Came onto the field with Fire surrounding it. It had 1400 Attack and 600 Defense. Tyson," I attack Magna Drago with Spear Dragon and summon Luster Dragon in ATK mode and end my turn." Lust Dragon was a very shiney Dragon of a blue-ish color that had 1900 Attack and 1600 Defense.

James laughed,"Good thing, because I use my Serpant Dragon of the Swamp's second effect which alllows me to summon Red Eyes Black Chick, then I use the spell card No remorse for the dead to defend Red Eyes Black Chick for 4 turns and I end my turn."A baby Black Dragon with Red Eyes was placed. It had 800 Attack and 500 Defense. Tyson," I sacrfice Spear Dragon and Lord of D. to Special Summon Turtle Bird in Attack mode and end my turn." A well, turtle based bird was placed. 1900 Attack and 1700 Defense, it had. Tyson,"I'm going to place one card face down, then I use call of the haunted to summon back Mirage Dragon and end this turn." Tyson," I attack Mirage Dragon with my Turtle Bird. Now I attack Serpant Dragon of the Swamp with Dark Blade and end my turn."

 

James,"I summon Roth Man in attack mode and end my turn"

(Roth man has 1900 ATK however is only a level 4)

Tyson," I sacrfice Turtle Bird to summon White-horned Dragon in attack mode, but thats not all. This spell I activate gives it 100 more attack! A large Red Dragon with a white horn appeared! James was surprised," What do I do now?

Duel 2: James vs Tyson Part 2

 

James was taken aback,"What do I do now?" Tyson laughed," You are welcome to give up." James shook his head,"I put down 1 face downs and end my turn."

Tyson laughed,"thats it? I attack with White Horned Dragon."

James laughed,"I activate the Trap Card Negate attack!" Tyson growled,"You are only delaying the inevitable. I put one card face down." James grinned,"You think so? This next draw could be my big break...my turn!" James drew a card and grinned,"I activate the spell card:Dragons Fate! The effect is as such: This card can be used to summon Red Eyes Fate Dragon from my deck or graveyard. This card also serves as a field spell. If I have a Red Eyes on the field, give it +100 ATK

If I have a regular Dragon on the field with less ATK than Red Eyes Fate Dragon, send it to the graveyard. If I have a non-Dragon on the field, if its DEF is less than Red Eyes Fate Dragon, send it to the graveyard and All Dragons get +100 ATK!"

Red Eyes Fate Dragon has 1800 Attack and 800 defense. Its a large black Dragon surrounded by the night-sky and its eyes glow a red-ish with white around the outside of the eyes glowing as well.

 

Tyson looked back,"This doesn't seem like enough to beat me!" James laughed,"Well give me one more turn and it will." Tyson laughed,"fine. Go ahead..this is no fun if I win." James drew," I have a spell card....and it gives my Red Eyes Fate Dragon 1000 more attack! In addition, it has a special effect! This card can also serve as a "Destiny Hero" Negate all Spells and Traps for one turn. Also, Flip a coin. If heads, this card gets +200 ATK. If tails, it can attack twice....heads. It can attack twice! I attack with Red Eyes Fate Dragon!"

Tyson grinned,"If only, if only. For I too have a negate attack!" James shrugged,"That's why your so cocky? I end my turn then." Tyson laughed,"I activate Spell Whole of the other dimesion! It destroys one monster on your field of my choosing. I choose Red Eyes Fate Dragon! Bye-bye!"

James,"rrk." Tyson,"I take pit on you, I'll end my turn now. Its not like you can do anything anyways."

 

James pointed dramaticly at Tyson,"I attack Dark Blade with Roth man! and then Activate Dark Whole which kills all monsters on the feld, however the effect of No remorse for the dead, defends against it, thus I still have Red Eyes B. Chick, which I sacrifice to summon Red Eyes B. Dragon in attack mode and I end my turn."

Tyson," I activate Premature Burial, which by paying 800 life points, I can bring back White-horned Dragon!"

James," I active my Trap card Trap whole, killing your White horned Dragon,"

Tyson,"No! Well, I summon Giant Soldier of Stone in defense mode and end my turn!"

James,"Ha, but I active Spell of the Lover of Dragons, this gives my Red Eyes Black Dragon +1000 attack and then I attack your Giant Soldier of stone with my Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

Tyson," I put two cards face down and summon Blackland Fire Dragon."

James" I attack Blackland fire Dragon with Red Eyes Black Dragon."

Tyson,"I activate my Trap card Threatening Roar! You cant attack me for this turn!"

James,"I summon kumori Dragon and end my turn I guess."

Tyson," I summon Grey Wing in attack mode and end my turn."

James," I attack your Grey wing and put one card face down." (spell card that gives Red Eyes B Dragon +1000 more atk)

Tyson," I use the Trap Card Shadow Spell, which brings down your Red Eyes B. Dragon's attack by 700! Making it go down to 2700. Then I place one card face down and end my turn."

James,"I active my face down, which is another Spell of the Lover of Dragons! Now my Red Eyes B. Dragon has 3700 ATK! Now I attack Blackland Fire Dragon with Red Eyes B. Dragon!"

Tyson," Ugh my life points are now only 2200!"

James,"That's not all, I sacrifice Komori Dragon, I can summon this card in my hand, which is Koumori's Brother! Which has 2000 Attack. Ok, now THAT is all."

Tyson,"I use Monster Reincarnation, and discard Dark Blade in order to bring back White-Horned Dragon, and then activate Deseperate Spell Card, which means if I only have 2000 or less Life points, I can gain 2000 more! Bringing my Life points back up to 4200! Then I end my turn!"

James,"I attack with Red Eyes B. Dragon!"

(Brings health down from 4200 to 2700.)

"Now I also attack with Komouri Dragon's Brother!"

(Brings Helath down from 2700 to 700)

Tyson," I guess I summon another Blackland Fire Dragon and end my turn."

MC,"Well I think you know what happens now, I attack with Red Eyes B. Dragon and end the match!"

Tyson,"Ugh...good game, but I'll be back! You'll see!" Tyson runs off.

James shrugs,"No need to be sore about it."

 

Suddenly a man came out from the shadows. James was startled,"What do you want."

The man laughed,"Alot, but this will do for now." He handed James a card. "But this is?!"

Duel 3: The Dangers that lay ahead...

 

A mysterious person had appeared before James...this man was cloaked so it was hard to know whom he was....he replied,"I watched your duel, quite impressive. Take these cards."

James was taken aback,"Wow these are Blue Eyes White Dragon, Paladain of White Dragon and White Dragon Ritual...you sure about this?"

The person replied,"I won't be needing them anymore, I'm sure you're skills can put them to better use. Cya around." James still was in shock..all he could manage to reply with was,"Uh, alright. Thanks. Cya."

 

Later the next week...

James,"I summon Blue Eyes White Dragon! Now, Red Eyes Black Dragon, destroy his Dragon Dwelling in the cave! and Blue Eyes White Dragon, destroy his Dark Magician!"

The Dragons did as they were told, first Red Eyes destroyed a large green dragon, and Blue Eyes destroyed a man with a staff in the card called Dark Magician.

The opponent, a kid with red hair that spiked up, sighed,"You won."

James laughed,"Don't worry Koji, with time you can become a good duelist."

Koji grinned,"thanks. Well I gotta get home."

James nodded,"Okay, later."

 

The Hooded man appeared before him again. James was startled but knew he could say more now,"Whoever you are, thanks. I've been winning alot of duels thanks to the cards you gave me." The hooded man laughed,"I have on more to give you." James was taken aback,"What is this?" The man laughed,"Its called the Blue Eyes Black Dragon. It is said that if anyone but the chosen one uses it, they will go into a coma. I think it was meant for you boy. Your duel showed me that. I'll be going now...heheheh." The man vanished in a puff of smoke.

 

James was a bit surpised,"Wonder who that guy is.." Then another person came up to him.

"I challenge you to a duel!" James laughed,"Another person that I'll defeat?" The guy laughed,"I won't be so easy to beat...my name is Ace, and I'm a pro Duelist!" James went wide eyed,"Pro? Meaning professional?!" Ace nodded,"That's right. So will you duel me or not? Standard rules, 4000 life points each!"

 

James laughed,"You're on!" They both shouted,"Duel!"

Ace," I lay down two cards and summon Typhone 2"

James," I put down two face downs and summon Dragon Dwelling in the cave in defense mode

Ace," I summon Freezing Beast, and activate pot of greed, so I draw two cards, lay 1 down and end my turn"

James," I summon Koumori Dragon in attack mode, and throw down another face down.

Ace," I summon Burning Beast." James," I summon Magna Drago and attack Freezing Beast with Koumori Dragon. Ace," I activate Waboku to stop your attack!"

James," End my turn." Ace," One Card face down and activate Fissure, to destroy Dragon Dwelling in the Cave.

James: I actiavte Malevolent Nuzzler, making my Koumori Dragon have 2700 ATK! Now I attack your Freezing Beast again!"

Ace goes down from 4000, to 3300

Ace," I lay one card face down and summon Horus Black Flame Dragon level 4 in attack mode! I attack Magna Drago with Horus Black Flame Dragon."

James from 4000 to 3800

Ace," Now that I end my turn, his effect activates, meet his older brother, Horus Black Flame Dragon level 6." James," I activate White Dragon Ritual to summon Paladin of White Dragon in Attack mode! Now I end my turn." Ace," I activate Level up! Which makes me able to level up my Horus Black Flame Dragon Level 6 into The Altmighty Horus Black Flame Dragon Level 8! Now I attack your Koumori Dragon!"

 

James," I activate Attacker no more! You can't attack me for this turn!" Ace," Well in that case, i put Typhone 2 and Burning Beast in Defense mode! I throw down a face down as well... Ready for this? I sacrifice Paladin of White Dragon to summon Blue Eyes White Dragon! Now I attack your Typhone 2 with it!" Ace," I activate Threatening Roar! You can't attack me this turn!" James," Well then, I put down a face down and end my turn."

Ace," I summon Horus Servant in Defense mode, with its effect you can't attack a Horus of any level as long as this card is on the field." James," I summon Red Eyes B. Chick in attack mode, and throw down a face down." Ace," I activate Convulsion of Nature, which causes us both to flip our decks upside down! Now I use Horus Black Flame Dragon level 8 to attack your Koumori Dragon!"

 

James: 3800 to 3000

I use Malevolent Nuzzlers other effect, so I pay 500 in order to put it at the top of my deck!

James: 3000 to 2500

 

James," I put down a face down and I guess end my turn!" Ace," I summon Tenkabito Shien in attack mode! This card is unaffected by Trap cards!

James -thinks in head..oh no, I was going to use No Remorse for the dead whichs effect makes me defend red eyes black chick for four turns, but now I can't use it!-

Ace: I use it to attack your Red Eyes B. Chick!

James: 2500 to 1800

James: I throw down a face down monster, and attack Burning Beast with Blue Eyes White Dragon!

Ace: well i must thank you for not attaking my facedown card because now i can flip it up and ativate its effect. to summon Silent Magician Lv8. i then use use it to attack your Blue Eyes.

James,"What do I do now?!"
