The Warden
Mkay, also, when considering Blastmon and Tactimon, what would you consider decent lines? I figure the Gotsumon line for Blastmon, but Tactimon is a little different. I was thinking maybe the Musyamon line.
Blackstone Dresden
I'd say Gotsumon would work for Blastmon. For Tactimon, I think he looks like a Stingmon, personally, but that line runs into the same issue as Musyamon: What do you have for a Perfect? Asuramon and JewelBeemon don't make a lick of sense in context. Also, Vajramon COULD work.
The Warden
Vajramon indeed would work to a certain degree; I saw you use the Stingmon line previous. Although, there is very rarely a suitable samurai line in digimon. Due to the bird-like nature of the Butenmon line, they're unsuitable. Musyamon seems suitable, but his lack of an ultimate drags him down. Vajramon is okay, but him being a Deva and an ox makes things difficult to swallow. Though, Digivolution never do make sense sometimes. From what I read about Puppetmon, a Cherrymon needs to become cursed and then die for the data to reconfigure into Puppetmon, since he was made from the wood of a cursed Cherrymon. Still, if an RP came up, I wouldn't mind using Blastmon. I absconded from using the gotsumon line for lack of an appropriate mega. Blastmon solves that little issue. Blackstone Dresden
Musyamon's Perfect is Asuramon, which doesn't really make any sense considering he goes right back to being a samurai centaur thingy as Zanbamon. Or else, since his sword Jatetsufūjin-maru translates as Snake and Iron Sealed God, maybe Orochimon. Quetzalmon could work fairly well as his Champion because I think he's the only other snake based Digimon
The Warden
There is a snake deva, Sandiramon. And I consider Vajramon as Musyamon's ultimate (thank you Dusk). It makes more sense than Asuramon, I mean, japanese to indiand....the f**k? But, that makes Wormmon Tactimon's rookie.
Blackstone Dresden
The Rookie's are usually vastly different from the Megas anyway though. Tentomon -> HerculesKabuterimonGomamon -> VikemonPalmon -> RosemonPatamon -> SeraphimonSalamon -> Magnadramon/OphanimonWormmon -> GranKuwagamonGuilmon -> GallantmonRenamon -> SakuyamonTerriermon -> MegaGargomonElecmon -> SaberLeomonHagurumon -> HiAndromonImpmon -> BeelzemonANYTHING -> MarineAngemonAgumon -> ShineGreymonLalamon -> Rosemon Why should they start making sense now? It's the Champion and Perfect's job to bridge the gap, and, since we're using Quetzalmon, that gap's still gonna take a bit of suspension of disbelief, but hey, so does Salamon -> Gatomon and any plant Digivolution
The Warden
Since when did Gomamon -> Vikemon not make sense?
Blackstone Dresden
The transition from Gomamon to Ikkakumon to Zudomon to Vikemon makes sense. But, removing the two in the middle, you're left with a seal turning into a viking. That doesn't make much sense
cacnea
wow i didn't realise digimon series 6 had started (been trying to watch death note anime wise)... And it is very sad that only few remain, and fear that surely soon unless either yugioh or digimon have a huge fan boost the alliance will die :( ... Blackstone Dresden
Ya, it's on episode 19 already. Hey, where's the sprite thread again?
The Warden
Besides that, Gomamon to Vikemon is actually one of the few digivolution lines that stay close looks-wise.
Blackstone Dresden
I don't see it. I mean, they're both white, sure, and they both have the same teeth, but that's it.
The Warden
They pretty much remain the same species, sea-lions. Just from your average sea-lion to heavily armoured viking sea-lion.
Blackstone Dresden
You see a sea lion when you look at Vikemon? Looks like a yeti to me.

Blackstone Dresden
I still don't see it, but OK. Anyway, what Digivices should I use in RotDL?
The Warden
A type of chip put into the brain to allow mental covnersation with the partners and to make digivolution easier by being closer to the source of emotions.
Blackstone Dresden
OK, no and not just because that would hurt like Hell.
The Warden
At least I'm tyring to be creative here. Why bother asking what Digivice to use when you could just MAKE one?
Blackstone Dresden
Because all my mental faculties are devoted to passing finals week.
