It's a fusion of 02 and Frontier, with ample usage of Fakemon (meaning that, pretty much the only real Digimon are gonna be Rookies, though Rookie Fakemon are obviously allowed too)

I used a SnowAgumon (Savers) and DracoFrigimon (Picture if you will a splice of Frigimon, Cyberdramon, and Gaogamon's scarf) on RotDL, but it died before I had the opportunity to design an Ultimate/Mega, so I'm hoping to finish off that line

 

And come on, even if you're not gonna have a ton of gimmicks, at least get an original looking Digivice and a Digivolution method not based wholly on the anime if nothing else

Set it between Adventure and 02, but In America, and have the RPers think up their own damn crest traits?

Original would be hybridizing Spirit Evolution and Armor Evolution and removing the Digivolution limits, my idea was a gimmick but not too gimmicky to prevent people from joining and it didn't involve a whole new Digivolution line for people to learn, plus, in all my... most of a year... of RPing on this site, I don't remember any Digimon RP that filled the gap between Adventure and 02

Yes, but you still used the DigiEggs, in mine and Blazinghydra's idea, the Digimon would Digivolve based on a chosen selection of data points, including the new Digimon's element, appearance, weaponry, etc. The only time Spirit Evo is added on is because once a Digimon can use the main plot device, they're no longer considered to be a Rookie Digimon but instead are a catch-all Level similar to Hybrid

Take for example an Agumon, normally a Rookie level, but, hit him with my and Blaze's future RP idea's plot device primer, and you get a ???? Level

 

Now, said Agumon's Digidestined generates a mass off plot device detailing various parts of his next form, say making him a lightly armored fire-based bird-like Digimon with twin katanas, though he'll still be at the new catch-all level, and Agumon Evolves to the next step up, though, since he never changes level, it would be like Agunimon->BurningGreymon rather than Agumon->Greymon. But, and here's the beauty and mind boggling complexity of the RP, the number of Digimon that Agumon can Digivolve into is only limited by the Digidestined's (and thus the RPer's) creativity, so each Digimon can, in theory, have infinite Digivolutions. And, through more plot devices (and plot convenience) each Digimon will be able to Digivolve upwards as high as its Digidestined's (plot device material) allows, though of course that would be strictly monitored by you, me, and Blaze when this RP gets made.

Effectively, you've turned any Digimon into an Eevee that can switch between -eon forms.

You're only seeing a limited part, you could also modify their range preference (short, middle, long), speed, weaponry, type, etc.

 

But, if you turn Agumon, a middle range, fairly fast, clawed, fiery dinosaur into a short range, slow, shielded, aquatic squid, the end result is obviously going to rate on the low end of power for a Champion equivalent since you played to none of your Digimon's strengths.

So, you do realize that natural digivolution lines play on the digimon's strengths right? As do closely related Digimon.

I see the idea in all of this. I had this idea, but I'm slowly moving, so IDC really. But how would the digimon gain the ability to change their attributes? For example, I have an Aguman. I want to make it faster. How would I go about making that happen? Defeating enemies? Getting special weapons/items? Or just by training?

Basically, whereas Digivolution is just a blanket upgrade with no fine control, Tai's Agumon will always evolve into Greymon, in this RP you set the parameters, similar to Armor Evo, so if you want your Agumon to speed up, you just isolate the Digivolution code dealing with speed and only "Digivolve" that part of him

I see what you are getting at. It sounds freaking AWESOME! Though how would someone go about to "digivolve" that speed perameter of agumon? Is there some sort of digivice that allows that? And if so, is it allowed to "digivolve" that perameter as much and as often as you would like?

Well obviously there's a limit, at the beginning you can only partly evolve (for example, flying Agumon or Agumon with an axe) your Digimon, but as you go on you can get Champion- Ultimate- and Mega-equivalents, and beyond, if the RP lasts that long

 

Again, the only theoretical limit is the RPer's ingenuity (Practically, of course there's a cut off point)

Upgrading Agumon's speed would cause it to result in Airdramon.

Again, that would be a full Digivolution, this is more like DigiModify, the Digimon gets stronger but, unless the Tamer modifies each and every attribute that a Digimon has (I think we broke it down into 5-6 categories) It doesn't Digivolve so, no, upgrading Agumon's speed doesn't result in Airdramon, it results in a faster Agumon
