question about mods

i was wondering one day "how did all of the mods get their position as such, i know you didnt just log in one day as a newb and someone gave it to you. so now heres my question:

What did you guys do to earn your jobs as mods?

We got nominated when an opening came up for a mod job. Simple as that.

I know Icy became a mod because another mod requesting it saying stuff like "There are so many reports, around 30 or something came today" or something along those lines. And so, IcyBlue was made a mod. As for others, unsure.

I accepted an allowance of 3 Biscuits per Month to Mod the Custom Cards section. ;) Oh and there is also the situation where I didn't mind giving up a bit of my Free Time and stuff.

This was actually due to te fact that I was modding CC myself for quite a while so I asked for some backup in the Mod Forum

i never said anything about contesting a mods legitimacy, all it was, was a harmless question that i was wondering for a while now. I didnt mean "earn" as in i dont think mods deserve it. You take things way out of context.

You just don't ask this kind of question, for the simple reason that it is just impolite. Mods are mods because the administrators found useful to pick those special people because they had in their eyes the abilities to moderate a forum. It's not something "earned" on seniority or something. It's a matter of abilities. /thread

All postions are gone. YCMaker May pick some new mods to replace the retired ones but its up to him. And with -4 rep and only being here for a mounth will get you know where. You need to be atleasst at my stage.
