They were going to be every 6 months' date=' until they just stopped all together because of laziness.

[/quote']

How do you know that? Just going by assumptions that people were just being lazy and didn't have better things to do then host Awards on a forum? Sorry not everyone can be like you.

Because I was a moderator during this time. Everyone in the moderator forum was complaining about how they didn't want to do it, and how no one really cared about the awards anymore.

Wait, I'm sorry I lied, almost everyone, there were some that didn't think that. Me, Darth, Opal I think, and maybe someone else. But of course "seniority" kicked in and crab got his way.

That's how I know.

Exodia one month was good back in the day. It's not the same anymore. Everyone thinks they are owed something now.

Fair enough, I thought you were just stirring trouble again.

And... ugh, I remembered Crab's seniority and how he thought that while FP and YCMaker weren't around he was in charge. I remember helping Browa debate against the whole 'Global Mod' idea and each one of Crab's replies were pretty much 'there's no downsides to it' over and over again.

That's a fair point- things on YCM aren't anything like they used to be. Maybe 3 months would be a good change. But... the Moderators don't have to be in charge of the Awards- trustworthy members could do it too. :/

Nope no trouble being stirred here.

The awards is being taken place in general right? There has to be at least one active General Mod or Super Mod. Because You and me both know that trollers who think it would be funny to spread some "cool story" will be there. And truthworthy members won't be able to do anything except send reports to an empty Mod Team.

Hunter and Flame Dragon are both active General Mods. Glassberry is also pretty active.

I don't know what you're on about saying that the current General Staff Team wouldn't be able to deal with it if trolls posted in an Awards thread posted a member.

Huh? I never said that the staff couldn't handle it. I said that they would have to be active if they want a clean running. Hell if I know Josh, which I do. There will be a lot of un called for bannings.

Josh is a... different case, which I won't discuss here. If he does any un-called bannings like he did earlier, then I recommend that said person take it up with Browarod of Umbra. Anyway, I feel that if the Mod Team isn't up to doing it one month/one 3rd month then I don't see why a member of the Council couldn't host it that month and the Mods of General/Super Mods keep it under control.

Well like I said, it was going to be every 6 months or "Bi Annual" and if the moderators won't participate I don't why any regular members couldn't handle it.

Bi annual is my vote.

Wouldn't that be a good thing? If that were to happen, atleast we could finally see the banworthy n00b members.

With the recent bans around here. Everyone is ban worthy.

Careful, you might have joined the day someone was banned.

About some members winning again and again, I mean guys, the voting is in your hands. If you don't like it then vote for someone else?

Also, there's nothing that can be done about it, even after a year. If people think the same person deserves an award again then that's their choice.

Bloodrun: The midsummer Awards were around June, I think. So the next ones would have been in December. But that's the reason why I thought about reviving them, I found 6 months too long as well.:/

Really? When?0_o

The Awards were set on 6 months because the members didn't want them so frequently.

But in a recent thread in the supah-siekret forum half of the mods said that they still wanted them back.

And they don't have to be run by a mod, I'm doing them this time again since no one else planned to organize them. Also, during these months no one really PMed me about the Awards.:/

I would pull up the thread for you, but I obviously can't.

But very well.

I would say once every month, considering the amount of shifting that seems to happen in popularity, and the state of the forum every month. Internet time works differently than regular time, and anyone who has spent any time on a forum can see that. I believe that having it every month allows for the most accurate barometer of member's popularity on the site, and provides the most reasonable data and support to the social population here.

Every 3 months sounds like a good idea. Points have been made about the evolving state of the forum, by making the awards every 3 months I think that would successfully compensate for the new comers. As well as keep every member interested without wear and tear on the upbringing and keeping of each "electon".
