Exyst
Right; question: I've just spent forever getting my iTunes library all perfected with correctly capitalized artist names and album titles +_ artwork, etc. I go to put them on my MP3 when I realise the changes haven't saved; on the files themselves, while they are perfect on iTunes. Any idea what I do to save these details to the actual mp3 file? I've been googling it for ages with no answer.
Exiro
Did you try simply changing the file names? Perhaps that's what your mp3 player displays...

No, its like: iTunes: Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country - City Of Evil MP3 organizes it into: Unknown - bat Country - city of Evil when I move the exact same file onto it. Cin
I think only certain programs directly change the details on the MP3 file itself. I know WMP definitely changes.

They're internal tags in the MP3 that allow programs like iTunes and the such to recognize the MP3 information. This information allows your MP3s to be sorted and organized 2347512431251 different ways' date=' but it can be a pain in the ass when the ID3 tags aren't filled out properly. Trust me. I have over 26,000 songs. Missing ID3 tags are a jabroni. >.>; I, personally, use this program called Mp3tag. It allows you to edit the ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags in batch which is far less time consuming than editing them by hand. It has my personal favorite feature, "tag by filename", which takes the information from the filename and places it in the ID3 tag for you with no typing required. You can download this program for free at: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ Have fun. :[b'][/b]D
