As Satyre came back chris had gotten back up to his feet. If Satyre hadnt been able to see the dark aura surrounding him, he would have thought he had gotten all better. He stopped and made a sign to the others not to approach him. Chris looked at them with his eyes, black as charcoal. 'hes not the same any more' Satyre said and stared at whatever was controlling chris. Chris' mouth formed a sinister grin, making him look more like a demon than.. well, chris. There was no recognizing him any more. His eyes were darkened, oily tears streaming from them, his hair was black as ink and that grin.. Chris was nowhere to be found looking at this creature of darkness. Not even his clothes were the same. Chris would never walk around with an open black coat/robe thing with no shirt undernieth and a pair of worn gray jeans. 'who are you?' Satyre hissed, glaring at the creature. The creature looked at him, 'why Satyre, dont you recognize me?' it said, grinning again. 'dont you try to fool me, you dont even sound like him! Dont you dare use his name you demon!' Satyre yelled stomping his hooves in the ground. 'heh' the creature said and closed its eyes, causing more ink to stream from its eyes. 'im the darkness within your friend, so i have all the right to use his name!' it said. 'what have you done with him!?' Satyre cried. 'i have always been here, but his heart has been strong enough to keep me away.' it said and then smiled a very disturbing smile. 'but after his heart was crippled, all i had to do was to place that card in his deck. Of course he could'nt resist the power of the card and then i could take over!' dark chris laughed and showed a card from the deck. 'corrupted heart?' Satyre read, not liking the sound of that card one bit. 'i would love to stay and chat, but i have more important tings to tend to' dark-chris said and disappeared in a blue flash.

Athrun was sitting in his dorm room flipping threw his deck making adjustments to any flaws he caught. "What to replace this with?" he thought as he removed Nitro Synchron for another Tuning Ware. After a good hour of deck adjustments he exited the dorm to look for his friends. "Wonder where everyone could be?"

"those eyes...were the same...." was all Ryu could say before Hikari finally caught up."what's wrong Ryu-dono?" he looked up."oh, nothing, just go look in that direction, I'm sure Chris is fine" he said reassuring her, she took it as an 'I need some time to think' look, she nods and leaves, but Ryu just looks up and remembers what happened to himself.

Dark Chris appears behind Luke, grinning malevontly. "His heart is crippled as well.. he should easily succumb to the darkness he thought and picked up two cards.. "now which one will fit him the best..?" he thought as he looked at his options. "He is a brainy kid that one.. Corrupted Mind should do the trick" he thought and grinned even bigger. He blew on the card, making it copy itself into three copies of itself and then he let a magical wind blow it into Luke's lap. he smiled, looking very content and then vanished again with a small flash of blue.

Dark Chris had been watching from the distance, to see if is lan would succeed or not. He squinted his eyes together as he saw Luke got freaked out by the card instead of getting subdued by its power. He stayed put though, maybe he'd return for it in a while. The cards had a powerful draw to them after all.

Athrun looked over at the dropped card. He got up and approached it. "What do you think it is?" he asked Nightshroud. The dark being emerged and picked up the card. Suddenly Nightshroud grimaced and dropped it. "Huh?"

 

"Don't know." said Nightshroud. "But that cards not meant for me." shows Athrun his hand which is now burned from the card. "Some sort of dark power, but even i can't handle it."

"Get away from the card!" He thought as Athrun and that wierd being approched it. Luckily, the car had burnt Nightshroud, leaving him a nice little reminder not to touch things that do not belong to him. "Athrun.. maybe he'll succumb to it's power" he thought and grinned evily. But then his eyes flung wide open, returning to their normal state. "I can't let you do taht you bastard" Chris whispered and stepped out from his hiding place. "ATHRUN-CHAN, GET AWAY FROM THE CARD!" he yelled, then with a yelp of pain the eyes turned pitch black again. "YOU LITTLE BRAT!" Dark chris exclaimed, looking furious.

Nightshroud turns to see Luke leave and shrugs. "Wonder what's up with him." he said and Athrun sighed.

 

"Don't know but maybe he's right. Maybe that card should be left alone." the slifer noted. Nightshroud shook his head.

 

"Still wish i knew what that thing was." he sighed. "Ah well. Not like it's for me anyway." Athrun nodded.

--AJ&Crystal pairing has a theme now!!! along with Athrun&Joanna!!!! :)

 

Joanna was at the lighthouse like usual. She couldn't help but think something was wrong. She was usually a positive person but something just didn't feel right and she couldn't put her finger on it. "Something doesn't feel right, and it's not the monsters that showed up the first day." she thought. "What is it?"

He heard luke's spewing out his negative thoughts about himself and he frowned. "The effect was apparently not strong enough.. this time" he thought and snapped his fingers. The "Dark Mind" quickly flew back into his hand and then he glanced at Athrun, grinning, before he vanished in a flash of blue again.

Athrun caught a quick glance at Chris before he vanished. He didn't know what but something seemed odd about him. He had a dark sort of presense to him. Athrun nodded to Nightshroud. "You know what to." Nightshroud smirked and his vanished in a dark portal and took off in pursuit of Chris.

Meanwhile in the Shadow Realm...

 

Chris had kicked back in the dark nothingness, reclining as if sitting in some kind of sofa, while looking at the two remaining cards. "Now who may be able to fall victim to the Corrupted Soul Card?" he asked himself and focused his eyes on the card. "Luke was an exceptional target for Corrupted Mind.. but this one..." he sighed and placed the cards in his pocket. "too bad Luke had too brief of a contact with the card to acctually fall into the darkness" he said and looked up.. or down into the darkness.

 

OOC: just realized I forgot to add the freaking pentagram on D-Chris' forehead.. oh well <.<
