Well this is my very first contest and I hope to see some cool entries.

 

For this contest you need to make a set of 8 cards:

5 Monsters (any kind of your choice)

3 Spell/Trap (must have at least one spell and one trap. The third card can be your choice.)

(If you want you can add more cards, but 10 is the max)

 

The theme of this contest is combos. Make it so your set of cards work off of each other and can create a killer combo that your opponent will be helpless against.

 

As a side note I am big on graphics and no bad grammar, but since this contest revolves around combinations and your cards working off each other the majority of this contest will be based of your ideas and effects.

 

The contest will end in one week, so that would Saturday December 8th.

 

1st place will get 3 reps + 30 points

2nd place will recieve 2 reps + 20 points

3rd place gets 1 rep and 10 points

Wow I'm glad I already have a few entries. Just to let you know:

 

naruto8825- your cards are cool and balanced, and I really like the pics, but I don't quite understand how they make a killer combo. I would recommend gving your monsters more effects to help each other out like aztex did. Also you need to check you grammar. I think you accidently misspelled some words even in your Normal Monster's descriptions, and OCG could be better.

 

aztex- good job, i like your sacred being strategy. I see little mistakes in OCG. Like in the phoneix card, and in your Aqua Serphant i think you meant defense position instead of defend position. So far you are winning, but still I think if i were dueling against this set it wouldn't be impossible for me to counter this strategy. Especially since your monsters are all high level. Still, I see some cool ideas, great pics, and nice balanced card. But if you modified thier effects to make them more deadly and easier to use I think your odds of winning would go way up.

 

Keep those entries coming! You can always switch out your cards or modify them until the last day. I'm still waiting to be super impressed.

Nice Cards. But the fusion monster says all 6 sacred beast or something like that. Uhh arent you only able to have 5 monsters on the field?

 

Did you read the effect? It doesn't say on the field, but from graveyard if you read until the end of the effect! :?

Alright, I got a pretty killer combo. Here are the cards:

And here's how you play them:

 

1) Keep Oracle of Light in your hand until you draw Lady Fate. Then use Oracle's effect to Summon Lady Fate on the field in one turn. Equip her with Fate Sphere and set Barrier of Worlds and Destiny's Game.

 

2) Wait until your opponent guesses, then activate Destiny's Game effect to change the card that he will draw. You can keep him from drawing new cards and inflict 500 points of damage to him that way.

 

3) If your opponent tries to attack, activate Barrier of Worlds, that will keep him from destroying your cards, but he will now be able to draw new cards, while you will have to pay life points.

 

4) Now that it's your turn, you can guess your card correctly (since you placed it there from Destiny's Game effect) and regain your life points.

 

5) Your opponent will probably summon a few monsters. Here's where either Lady Penance, or, if you don't draw her, Lady Vanity kick in. Use them to Special Summon Lady Penance on your opponent's side of the field.

 

6) While Lady Penance is formidable, she will require another card to be discarded each turn for him to keep her on the field. That will cripple his drawing again, and he will not be able to use Lady Penance because of Barrier of Worlds. If he decides to destroy her, he will have to pay a hefty 1500 life point price.

 

7) With your Destiny's Game each turn drawing 500 life points from him, that price, and Wicked Fairy if you get her in your hand dealing another 500 points of damage, you will overwhelm the boost from your Barrier and eventually win.

 

Due to the support cards, it essentially requires drawing only a couple of specific cards throughout the duel. It's a solid and sturdy tactic, and while not broken (imba), it's a good way to win.

 

It's actually planned to be used in my fanfic, Chronicles of the Ascension.

Ok well the results are in and the winners are as followed:

 

1st place goes to Ixigo

2nd place goes to Aztex

3rd place goes to (this was a hard one to decide) JeremyH

 

These 3 entries had their cards work the best with each other and followed all the rules. I really liked some of the strategies. Good Job everyone.
